Very far from the classic Boss Bottled EDT or the EDT Intense. It smells of fig leaf at the opening and dry-down. Very similar to Loewe Solo Mercurio, but more synthetic. If you like the fig note, I’d choose Loewe Solo Mercurio, as it has many more nuances and evolution.

Updating the review: after a few days, I put on the jacket where I applied the fragrance and it still smelled and projected. Additionally, the dry-down clearly follows the Boss Bottled EDP line.

  • Boss Bottled Parfum is woody, spicy, and slightly leathery. The opening is fruity and spicy, reminiscent of the Maninka in the male The Scent line. You can detect powdery and vegetal notes from the iris root, along with a leathery accord. As it dries down, it adds woods. Everything is balanced; nothing stands out. It has elements for autumn and winter, or early spring, due to its spicy, powdery, and sweet nature, with a fruity touch that adds versatility. I don’t think it’s a good option for summer or heat. Suitable for formal or informal wear. Lasted between 7 and 8 hours on me, with notable projection in the first hour, then dropping to skin scent. It differs in scent from the original or the EDT Intense, though the structure is similar; it leans closer to the The Scent line, especially the Intense and Parfum Edition, due to the handling of iris root and leather. I liked it and would buy it again.

  • JavierSantana

Well executed. Far superior to The Scent regular. One of the best DNA’s currently out there; the leather is built very well and lacks that part of The Scent that turns me off. I know it’s not a direct flanker, but wow, this Parfum is based on The Scent, just improved. Awesome.

  • Very interesting fragrance. Finally, Hugo Wood and Herbs 🌿. The leather note is noticeable. It has a slightly bitter, very masculine, and serious vibe, perfect for formal occasions. It’s potent and long-lasting. Highly recommended.

  • I don’t get the YouTube reviews. It’s the only Hugo Boss I’ve bought since I’m not a fan of the house, but I absolutely loved it. Longevity is around 6 to 7 hours. Projection and sillage last about two hours. It’s standard for designer perfumes today, but a very well-crafted scent.

  • PencaTatemada

I think Demachy and Dior kicked off the Parfum trend, using the term the way they once did with ‘Sport’ or ‘Extreme’: a complete twist. Now, the pendulum swings back. This new wave of flankers isn’t just about changing concentration; it’s about complicating classic formulas by removing and adding notes. The word ‘Parfum’ suggests ‘the definitive version,’ and Boss Bottled needed that label after 1,357 launches. I won’t talk about the Elixir since I don’t know that line, but this smells denser, spicier, and deeper than most on the market. The price is ridiculous, but it confirms that the next generation of perfumes—the one Chanel still ignores—will lead us down dark and complex paths. That’s what I hope for.

  • Great fragrance. As a user of the Boss Bottled line, I notice the longevity surpasses the EDT. I love the performance: about 6 hours on skin and up to 48 hours on clothes, where it’s still noticeable.

  • BassoProfumo

Powerful and very loud perfume. Has nothing to do with the classic Bottled. Unlikely to surpass the house’s masterpiece, Hugo Boss Bottled Intense. This is too brash and synthetic; I didn’t like it.

  • carAddict

I tried a sample I thought I’d give away because I’m not a fan of the Bottled line (I only tolerate Marine). I sprayed it on and loved it. Totally agree it’s not the original EdT (which I can’t stand). It felt rich, attractive, and pleasant, a bit sweet even though the notes don’t explain it. Medium longevity.

  • Excellent! Lasts 8 hours and projects strongly for the first two. Very manly thanks to the woods and leather, exquisite. Women love it. Ideal for cold days and nights. Rating: 9/10.

  • Just bought it. It’s an off-the-radar scent, mixing green apple and cinnamon, which usually don’t go together. Clearly resinous, dominated by frankincense and leather, with a smoky burnt rubber undertone that I love and gives it a lot of masculinity. Not for kids, but for a young professional adult looking for elegance and gentlemanly charm. The projection, being a ‘parfum,’ is just right, but I forgive it for the reasonable price and because it avoids cheap clones.

  • Madridskar1997

I didn’t like it at all; even a little bit can be overwhelming. Better for night, in the cold, never in the heat. Lasts a long time but barely noticeable on others.

  • With all due respect, I’m reviewing it again because I’m falling in love. It’s packed with oriental vibes and incense from the start. Dry green notes of iris with a violet touch, and the fig adds sweetness. Then comes the smoky leather from the incense. Sober, dark, elegant, modern, and light. Nothing like its original version.

  • Typical of today: iris, leather, and everything else. If you already have something Dior Homme-style, this is redundant and nothing new.

  • Enrique Duboy

It’s like Dior Homme but fresher: starts citrusy, evolves into wood and leather, and that oriental touch with incense makes it unique, though the performance isn’t the best on the market.

  • An excellent perfume that I see for use in cold climates and at night, though it could also be used during the day if it’s not extremely hot. An excellent option from the Hugo Boss house; if you like incense and leather, it could be a great blind buy. I’m delighted with this great perfume.

  • It smells pretty good; the opening has a marked sweet note for my nose, and above all, I like the woody dry-down, but it seems to lack originality.

  • I’m a woman; I bought online some female perfumes and they sent me a male one 😁. This is a bomb, it smells strong and I don’t dislike it, but even though I think perfumes don’t have a gender, when I wear this, more than one person looks at me strangely; it smells ‘manly’… They sent me this and Eternity Aromatic Essence, and I liked this one more. I can’t speak as a man, but if I smelled a guy wearing this cologne, I’d love it.

  • campeones22

With all due respect, it’s a pest because it’s so strong; it lasts and projects well, but the fig note bothers me a lot. To me, fig plants smell bad or too strong, and that’s what I sense in this perfume.

  • Van der wiel

A masculine fragrance that smells like quality: fine incense, leather, sweetness. It’s not for everyone if you come from scents like Invictus or JPG; it’s more in the style of Bvlgary Black or Carolina Herrera Prive. I wear it with a biker jacket and boots, and it looks perfect.

  • This is an incense bomb, very different from the original. It’s a super interesting proposal with quite good quality and performance. If you like that style, I totally recommend it.

  • So different from the original Bottled that it’s both the best and worst part of this scent. Don’t buy it expecting to find the original essence, as it doesn’t have it; instead, it’s so seductive and solid that you won’t miss the original. Magnificent incense opening that settles into something elegant and sensual. I love the blend of leather and orris. As a signature for fresh seasons, it works well, and it’s even better for a date. Good performance, easily reaching 7 hours in a personal bubble with moderate sillage. Highly recommended. Rating 8.5/10. Batch August 2, 2023.

  • My go-to for the office and important meetings. It’s subtle, captivating, and has great presence. I’ve received compliments, though I think it’s more about projecting confidence than being overwhelming; it doesn’t tire the nose. It fills me with security for meetings and consultations.

  • Ideal for mild or cold days; on my dry skin, it smells like mentholed incense (from the fig leaves), fresh, slightly powdery with lots of cedar and fig wood. Warning if you have allergies, that incense can be irritating, but it fades in just 5 minutes. In the dry-down, it reveals a rustic leather with tonka bean, and finally, only the tonka bean remains with a barely perceptible noble leather. I use it for formal occasions; projection and sillage are moderate, and it lasts 7 to 8 hours.

  • I don’t know why people underestimate it so much; I absolutely love it. I tried it in a store and it smelled incredible—very masculine, with great longevity—and I already bought it online.

  • emporioblanko

Tested and discarded. Fresh opening with the mandarin, which on my skin doesn’t smell like mandarin, just citrus. The incense blends a bit, but in my case, it’s subtle; the fig leaf is moderately noticeable, and it’s quite woody with the cedar. In my opinion, it’s not a bad aroma, not entirely wrong, but I see it as simplistic and vulgar for its price—I won’t pay anything for this. Also, I hate the fig leaf and fig notes in perfumes, even though they aren’t prominent here. There are many better options from the Boss house; as a Parfum version, it’s disappointing. Regarding longevity, it’s average. I don’t recommend it; it’s a daily wear scent with nothing to highlight or enchant, and I doubt anyone will think much of it. Buying blindly would be a huge letdown. My rating for this Boss Parfum: Scent 4, I wouldn’t even give it a pass—it neither fulfills nor stands out. Longevity 6, not bad, though spraying more than 12 times projects barely above the skin. Projection 4, and being generous, the truth is it doesn’t project a pebble. Price 3, insanely expensive for what it offers. You decide, logically everyone has their own tastes.

If you read reviews saying it doesn’t last or project, don’t believe them! I was hesitant to buy it because of that, but I took the plunge. The scent is 100% masculine; if I had to compare it, it reminds me a bit of Bulgari Man in Black, but they aren’t the same. It opens citrusy, but that citrus is controlled by incense and a touch of sweetness. Be careful not to get scared; it’s not a sweet scent like One Million. It’s a pleasant sweetness that, mixed with mandarin, woods, and smoky notes, smells spectacular. To be honest: the first few times I noticed it didn’t last or project much; I’m not sure if letting it macerate and oxygenate helps. Three months after buying it, I noticed it projects quite well and lasts over 8 hours. I’ve even used it on winter jackets, and they still smell. Maybe it is true that it needs oxygenation. I don’t see it for young guys; it’s a mature scent, but not a ’90s gentleman vibe. I’d say it’s for 27 and up. Preferably used in cold weather.

  • theayrton

A fragrance that screams ‘man.’ It opens sweet and fresh, but within minutes reveals its mysterious side. To me, it feels strong and invasive; I wear it at night in cool or cold weather. Do not use it in summer or on hot nights. The sillage is noticeable, and a lot so; in enclosed spaces, it can be overwhelming. Longevity is excellent, staying strong for over 5 hours before fading but remaining very present. I’d buy it again only if I find a good price, as it’s usually expensive in Argentina. I paid around $200 for a set, though I saw it drop to under $150. I wouldn’t pay more, even though this isn’t an Arabian scent (some of which cost more).

  • I absolutely loved it! It’s been ages since I’ve smelled that in a Hugo Boss. I’m not a huge fan of powdery notes, but here they blend beautifully. I recommend it for events and formal dates. Longevity: 6 hours.

  • Interesting and full of character. It smells like a mature man aiming for impact. If you have a refined sense of smell, you’ll detect the cedar—that classic wood found in perfumes for ‘mortgaged homes’ or older gentlemen; a tanned leather note that doesn’t invade, plus a fig leaf reminiscent of other mass-market scents like K EDP by D&G or Kenzo EDT Intense, though this one stands on its own. Longevity and sillage exceed the average, making it excellent for semi-formal or work environments. Don’t buy it blindly as the blend isn’t for everyone, but give it a shot. I liked it; it’s a traditional woody fragrance with that semi-sweet herbal fig touch plus leather, ideal for a man over 30 who wants to smell different. P.S.: It triggered memories of Montblanc Emblem and the Kenzo I mentioned—draw your own conclusions 🤝

  • One of the most boring, tedious, and sparkless fragrances from Hugo Boss in recent years—simply not interesting. It’s not a retro fougère, not a powerful mature-man wood, not an interesting vetiver for a wealthy gentleman, not an attractive neo-gothic incense, not a chivalrous Dior-style iris, and not an alpha-male leather. What is this? It doesn’t smell bad, but it falls into the category of old-school woods, generic smoky incense, and slightly powdery notes that end up being neither one nor the other. It reminds me a bit of Z&V This Is Him! EDT, another overhyped bore, some obscure Issey Miyake scent I won’t even name, and its cousin The Scent Intense from Hugo Boss, but without the charm of their sweetness or that soft, elegant, slightly sweetened elegance that makes those others work better. It lasts 6–7 hours but fades significantly after the second or third hour, and in my case, has poor projection. It’s more expensive than The Scent Intense or the regular version, which I don’t get. Worth it? Not even close. I bought it blindly, swayed by ridiculous social media hype, excited by the all-black bottle, looking for a mature, nocturnal, ‘dark’ scent for autumn-winter, and ended up giving it to a friend who said he liked the smell. There are tastes for everyone. Boss Bottled Elixir or Boss Bottled Absolu kick this BB Parfum’s ass. If they discontinue it, expect protests outside Hugo Boss stores worldwide. Cheers, perfume lovers.

  • A woody scent that, unlike what I’ve heard, I wouldn’t consider dark. The opening is citrusy and sparkling, with a slightly sweet smoky touch almost from the start—likely incense, but not overpowering or churchy. Soon, iris and fig combine to give it a herbal yet creamy character that I find very pleasant. However, what lingers for most of the wear is cedar and more cedar, along with a harmless leather note that doesn’t really speak to me. I see it as a masculine, semi-formal fragrance better suited for cool to mild weather. Lasts acceptably around 5–6 hours with weak projection and trail. It’s not bad, but nothing extraordinary.

  • Woody fragrance for cold weather, nothing too special. It opens rich and then transforms into a woody scent, maybe reminiscent of Oud perfumes. Even though it’s not listed, it passes as a similar one, with that burnt leather note lingering at the end. Smells good but nothing extraordinary. A 6.5 out of 10.

  • Every time I wear it, my girlfriend always recognizes it and tells me how good it smells. It’s a great perfume, I’m sure everyone will like it. It’s geared towards fall and winter, suitable for both day and night. It’s elegant, more for when you’re dressed up, whether for work events or leisure, but not for casual days. However, it can definitely be your daily wear in colder months; it’s not a special scent, but you’ll feel like you’ve added the ‘perfect finishing touch’ to your outfit and feel more empowered. Regarding longevity, that’s the part I like least. With about 15 sprays, you’ll project the scent for at most 2-3 hours, and it lingers on the skin for around 6 hours. It also doesn’t last on clothes; it’s a soft scent. I’d give it a 7/10. It smells amazing, costs a mid-range price (60-70€ for 100ml), but the longevity really leaves something to be desired.

  • A perfume that is, by definition, good. It smells elegant and night-time, perfect for formal events or special occasions, and especially in cold weather or cool nights. As for longevity, I’d say it’s medium strength, around 6-7 hours, which is fine. It doesn’t have a bad scent for me since this is my favorite from the Bottled line.
