This is one of those fragrances that works perfectly for daytime; its house DNA, green apple, stands out very well with the heat alongside grapefruit, lemon, and the citrus notes that complement it. For the office, it’s a great choice, just as much for outdoors. It doesn’t stand out as much at night as Polo Red. Highly recommended for warm climates or summer.
This is the most acceptable and decent flanker in the Boss Bottled line. I know it’s discreet, not standout or flashy, with normal longevity and moderate trail, but in my opinion, this Tonic version feels fresh, fruity, and elegant. It doesn’t taste bland, simple, or boring like the regular Boss Bottled, which is indeed very overused.
I bought this lotion because of the comments on this page and I regret listening to them. It doesn’t have a spectacular smell and the price is high for the performance: around €80 online and it lasts on my skin, if at all, two hours, with a trail barely skimming the skin. Totally regretted it. If you’re looking for a fresh lotion with a better ginger touch, I recommend Moschino Forever Sailing, which even costs less. I will never buy another Boss Bottled in my life; terrible lotions. The only redeeming factor is the bottle design, which looks classic and elegant.
I hope I’m the only one who doesn’t think this fragrance is a disaster. I bought it as a gift and I collect the Bottled line, but I’m listing it on Wallapop for €10 because it’s not worth it. Projection is 2/10: it has no power even at the start. It’s the DNA of the original on a discount; with the money for this, you could buy two colognes from Mercadona without joking.
I tried it at a mall and it was curious because it didn’t remind me of the original Bottled, but rather a familiar scent. After several hours, I realized: it’s a blend of Loewe 7 Silver and Loewe 7 Natural. It has a citrus opening that lasts quite a while. Unlike other reviews, I don’t think it’s the diluted Bottled (for that, you buy the original), but a completely different and recommended scent for citrus lovers. The performance and trail exceed my expectations; I give it a 7 out of 10 for longevity and trail, and the price is decent.
Wow, wow, wow, what a great fragrance! I bought it because I’ve been loyal to Hugo Boss since I was 11 or 12 and have owned almost everything, with my favorites being Dark Blue, Hugo, and Boss Bottled. This one has a casual yet refined touch that I really like. Hugo Boss isn’t known for monstrous longevity, but with 8 sprays, it easily lasts 8 to 10 hours. I have it and will buy it again when I run out. My final rating: 9 out of 10.
Excellent scent! Light, fresh, and sophisticated, just like Hugo Boss knows how to do. I loved it in the store so much that my girlfriend loved it even more, so I gifted it to her for her birthday. It’s not meant to grab attention on the street, but to fascinate whoever is with you in the room. I love wearing it on weekends with my girl or just at home watching movies; it delivers great results. It’s a perfume to enjoy for yourself, and the rest comes naturally: compliments from those around you. Say hi to the girl you like with this masterpiece, and you’ll surely get a compliment back!
Fresh and clean for the heat, but the longevity is very low: 4 hours on skin and 5.5 on clothes. Perfect for a spring or summer afternoon without too much sun.
I started buying the Hugo Boss line and haven’t been disappointed yet; I’m actually surprised by it more and more. This fragrance brings me peace, it’s clean and clear with a black tea note that I love. It’s a delight for summer and spring, though I’ll use it all year round.
I’m not sure if I’m just not noticing the notes because I’m used to fresh citrus, but this lotion fades off my skin quickly, or at least that’s what I think—maybe it’s just olfactory fatigue. It’s fresh and youthful, perfect for warm, casual days. If you already own marine citrus perfumes, you won’t be surprised; better to look elsewhere. This is a great substitute for CK One.
It smells great, what a pity. I wish it lasted longer because on my husband it runs out in very little time.
A very fresh and revitalizing fragrance for extreme heat days. Its middle notes are sublime. The longevity compared to other fresh scents is acceptable (5 hours) and on clothes it reaches 7. A must-have for those beach days and wearing a shirt.
I’ll keep it brief: the performance is poor and the trail is worse, but it leaves a great scent on clothes. The opening is effervescent, with apple and a very pleasant spicy ginger. It quickly evolves into cinnamon and clove, reminiscent of the original EDT. It’s synthetic, ideal for heat, cleanliness, and energy. It’s soft and masculine. Would I buy it? No. But for a young, informal, and sporty guy, it works wonders.
NOT WORTH BUYING. It lasts nothing and you can’t even smell it on you. Buy Montblanc Starwalker, Versace Man Eau de Fraiche, or Blue Seduction by Antonio Banderas instead. Cheers!
This is the third time I’m reviewing Hugo Boss and the second time for this line. It opens with a blend of apple and citrus, very spring-like, but then disappears. I don’t know what happened. The projection is generous to say half an hour, and then it evaporates without leaving a heart or base. It’s not bad, but the trail and projection are low. Use it in spring and summer, nothing more. It’s casual or formal, but strictly daytime and with no projection.
I don’t recommend it; the longevity is terrible, lasting between 15 and 20 minutes. The citrus and fruity notes are noticeable at first but fade quickly. At the end, all that’s left is a very delicate detergent smell. Disaster.
It has that classic Boss Bottled DNA in the base, but the opening is fresh and pleasant. The longevity isn’t the best compared to others in the same price range, but the scent is rich. Watch out: people tend to trash it, but it’s ideal for extreme heat or working out. If you’re sitting still in the office, it’s not noticeable, but if you’re sweating or it’s very hot, it really stands out!
I love the refreshing opening of this, but honestly, it doesn’t project and lasts very little. If you’re looking for something similar but with better longevity, I recommend Starwalker. It’s very similar, but this Boss one fades sooner.
I bought it on sale and was pleasantly surprised. Although I’m not a fan of the original Bottled line because I wore it too much when I was 15, this Tonic removes that heaviness and makes it very wearable. It’s perfect for smelling clean and elegant without being overpowering. Even though it’s called Tonic, it’s super versatile; the base of the original is there, just more contained, so there’s no problem in autumn or winter days.
Boss Bottled Tonic is my ultimate everyday perfume: fresh, elegant, and unpretentious. The commercial with Chris Hemsworth defines it perfectly. The only downside is that it lasts very little, about 4 hours on skin, which is typical for the line but even shorter here. That’s why it doesn’t have much hype, but in exchange, the price is brutal (1000 pesos back in 2020). There are better options for the price, but I absolutely love it.
Nice composition compared to the classic Bottled: in this flanker, they made ginger the star, lowered the cinnamon, removed the vanilla, and added a modern, versatile vetiver. You have to apply a lot and on clothes for it to work for at least 6 hours; BOSS fragrances are weak on performance. Alongside the Infinite version, which also lasts a breath, I prefer Tonic for its cheerful and relaxed vibe.
One of the richest fresh perfumes I’ve ever tried. The only problem is that it lasts very little.
Wonderful fragrance. The best flanker of Boss Bottled. An exquisite scent that surpasses and far exceeds many other fresh ones, supposedly fantastic because YouTubers say so (Nautica Voyage, Aqua Di Gio, Polo Blue, etc.). It’s quite better than Boss Bottled Infinite, no comparison in aroma. Its only weak point is longevity: 4 hours on my skin. Just reapply and you’re good. I think it’s a low price to pay to enjoy this marvel.
Very fresh fragrance with a clean scent that is enchanting… but it doesn’t last absolutely anything on the skin. At most it would last 4 hours if not less.
Very fresh and energizing, with the spicy kick of ginger. The issue is the longevity for the price. When I finish it, I’ll look for similar but cheaper options, like Adolfo Domínguez Citrus Cedro. By the way, Montblanc Starwalker is very similar to this, but it lasts even less. While I’m wearing this, I notice it for about 4 hours, whereas Starwalker lasts around 2.
Solid and very refreshing aroma, ‘sparkling’ as they say. For me, it’s like a cocktail with ice. The opening is identical to Montblanc Starwalker, but this one is more potent. The first two hours project wildly, then it drops significantly, but the dry-down is lovely, feeling soapy. I feel it’s better for daytime outings, beach, sports, and summer. Scent: 8/10, Longevity: 6/10, Projection: 7/10, Sillage: 6/10, Value: 8/10, Blind Buy: 6/10. Season: warm climates and mid-season.
I tried it on the same day as the Infinite and this one lost, though I didn’t dislike it. Strange that the seller offered it as more intense, but I don’t know why. I saw it on sale later, bought it, and used it quite a bit; I like it, although it’s very light. It lasts 3-4 hours, which is good for the price. The opening is fresh with a novel blend of apple and bitter orange, but always with the classic Bottled DNA. Over time, it becomes almost the same, just fresher and softer. The lack of vanilla and the addition of ginger with citrus notes make it exclusive to summer: 75% classic Bottled and 25% that lowers it. I think it’s more youthful than the classic, but the similarity is so high that the best user is someone who wants to wear Bottled in summer during the day; that’s where Tonic shines.
I received it as a Christmas gift and was delighted with the aroma. It’s a fresh, refreshing take with the DNA of the classic Bottled in the background. Ideal, from my point of view, for spring, summer, and sunny days.
It’s a rich scent but with very short longevity. I’m lucky it lasts 4-5 hours on my skin. It has a vibe similar to Starwalker but with better staying power. Applying it feels like wearing a second skin to enjoy the day. Reapply 2 or 3 times a day every 4 hours with about 6-7 sprays. I recommend it if you can grab it for under $30.
Rich and fresh fragrance where mandarin and spicy ginger take the lead, making it the best in the Bottled family according to my nose. Moderate projection and longevity, but perfect for hot springs and summers because it revitalizes and refreshes deliciously; the initial trail is a magnet for compliments.
It smells like Boss Bottle but toned down, without vanilla, perfect for summer. I put it on 2 hours ago and it’s still flying. For a toilet water, 2-4 hours is normal, which is enough considering that out of 12 hours in the day, it covers 1/3. Don’t complain. I appreciate it because my other summer scents are mentholated or cologne-type, and I was getting tired of them; I hadn’t tried this one. I expected something more tonic like Clubman Gin. If anyone can recommend one, I’d appreciate it. It’s good to have in rotation. Edit: It’s 2:30 PM, I’m getting little puffs of gin and apple. I think pairing it with one that has gin would make a good combination.
For me, it was love at first sniff, what a delight of freshness. A citrus scent where grapefruit predominates, with hints of cinnamon and green apple. Versatile for any time of day, not invasive, and elegant. I wish it lasted longer, but being citrus, it projects for about 4 hours on the skin. Since it’s for daily use, you need to carry a decant to reapply and keep smelling good.
It was a blind buy and comes with its risks. The tonic is very present, along with the ginger. It was my first purchase of this type (Tonic) and they are very special scents. I only recommend trying it before buying.
It lasts as long as a sigh on the skin and practically nothing on clothes, like all Boss fragrances. The scent is rich, sparkling, and pleasant in hot climates. Although I understand citrus doesn’t last long, for the price it’s an insult. After Game is just as rich and lasts much longer.
Exquisite fragrance. I bought it in 2018 for a vacation in the Caribbean with 38-degree heat, and it shined. The batch is from 2017 and even in 2025 it delivers the same aroma: a vibrant, energizing citrus opening with lemon, grapefruit, and ginger that works very well. Then sweet citruses, subtle cinnamon, and earthy notes that give it maturity without overdoing it. Very rich, but I repeat: it’s for the beach and strong heat.
I found it half-empty on a shelf and remembered using it back in 2017. It was my daily driver for classes and the office: great, classic but not old-fashioned, it smells like a man and not like an old man. It has an opulent, synthetic citrus opening that, in its scarce and unacceptable longevity (1/2 hour), transforms into something spicy and woody, but with the citrus still on top. It’s not a bad perfume, but its performance is horrible: it doesn’t last, has no sillage, and stays close to the skin unless you spray it 8 times and create an alcoholic cloud. It’s strictly for heat, daily use, and the gym, to smell like a neat man. It’s not suitable for dates or elegant meetings because it doesn’t draw attention. If you grab it for $35-$40, you’re getting a clean, masculine scent for daily wear. Scent: 4.5/10, Longevity: 2.0/10, Sillage: 3.5/10, Versatility: 8.8/10, Compliments: 7.2/10, Originality: 2.5/10, Rarity: 0/10. Average: 4.07.
Honestly, I’ve never had a perfume that offers so little. It doesn’t project, it doesn’t last, and on top of that, on my skin it smells like plastic. For what it offers, it seems expensive. I was very disappointed.
I tried it and it barely smells, just a little bit, but the longevity isn’t good. I sense a grapefruit and lemon aroma with an aquatic touch, but it fades quickly.
I already tried Brut Sport 48, a sweet aquatic lemon with ginger that I never liked and gave away. Some time later, when I smelled this Boss, I thought, ‘perfect for summer.’ Upon trying it, ‘ah!’ That sweet foot smell. It literally smells like Brut Sport 48, just less synthetic, but with zero projection. The Brut, being a cologne, projected beastily in the summer. Honestly, this Boss is money wasted (unless you’re a completist, which is fine), but I don’t recommend it for the rest of us; go for the Brut instead, it performs better and costs less.
I’ve been looking for something to add to my collection for a while. It’s not a scent that shouts for attention; it’s clean and understated. Don’t expect magic or mystery, but it won’t leave you indifferent either. It’s not a compliment bomb nor does it have brutal longevity; it simply creates a personal bubble for about 6 hours. In my opinion, it’s worth it if you’re looking for something safe and perfect for the office or school.
