I finally unleashed all the reviews I had saved. I waited so long for these perfumes and never felt anything so natural, rich, and refined. There’s a bomb that explodes every 4 seconds; I don’t know what it is, but it has me crazy.

I have two bottles of this Dior Homme Intense that I’m not going to use. If you’re interested, contact me privately.

What more can I say about this monolith? Iris, lavender, and woods in an almost perfect blend. The iris isn’t a sidekick; it’s the boss. As a note lover, it handles iris better than any other I’ve tried. You can smell the quality of the ingredients instantly. Unlike Prada L’Homme Intense, which is cleaner and soapy, here the iris is dark, deep, and sensual, with a powdery touch that makes it sophisticated without being fragile. At the base, a chocolatey nuance adds warmth and depth. It’s serious, elegant, and commanding without being loud. It doesn’t try to please everyone, and that’s its charm. It’s not casual, but when you love it like this, you wear it always, from special nights to days when you want to smell impeccable. On my skin, it lasts 8 to 9 hours with notable projection. Highly addictive; not for everyone, but for me, it’s one of the most special. Dior Homme Intense is a reference for me. Rating: 9.5.

It’s a perfume I don’t own but know by heart. Every time I go out, I visit a perfumerie to smell it or buy it on blotter. High-quality ingredients; that makeup scent fascinates me and is addictive. If it cost half as much, I’d buy it, but at the current price, I can’t have it just to indulge myself; I don’t find occasions to wear it. Plus, I doubt most people will like it, though it certainly exudes a mysterious magnetism.

This is truly a beast mode, a marvel when designer houses didn’t skimp and created perfumes with a soul. Very elegant and charming. I have a 2012 bottle I used rarely, and it’s one of the most projecting in my collection; it’s terrible after 4+ hours with the same intensity. It’s not for daily wear because it makes you dizzy, but it’s a very elegant scent for cold weather. Not everyone likes it for its iris note, but I love it. I don’t know how the new batches will be, but this is a gem.

A classic in perfumery. It creates strong olfactory memories and clings to the skin. Winter-only, perhaps not the most youthful or a compliment magnet. But lacking mass appeal, people will remember you. Sexy but not for everyone. Don’t buy blindly. It’s unique, and you have to try it at least once.

I’m happy to share about this fragrance today, as I fortunately got a 2023 batch with formulation 10950/A. I had it on my list for a long time but kept postponing it, a big mistake! I had to pay $130, whereas before I found it for as little as $90, but it’s worth every penny; it’s now one of my favorites. The first time I smelled it, it was love at first sight, even though I wasn’t deep into perfumes or iris yet, and I think trying it without knowing how famous it was made me appreciate it objectively; I felt it was super masculine and usable for daily life. But now that I have more experience, I do detect that characteristic makeup theme of the iris, and here I applaud François Demachy: he made the “lady” and lipstick scent enchant me, making me say ugh every time I smell it, a gem I’ll always treasure. 20/10.

It literally smells like women’s lipstick; I just tested it. As others say, you either love it or hate it. I don’t deny the quality, but I didn’t like it.

Along with Réserve Privée, one of my favorites. I’m not usually a big perfume wearer, but with this and a suit, it drives me crazy; I feel like going all out, it elevates your elegance to the roof. Unfortunately, I couldn’t try the old Dior Homme Parfum; I bought the new one… and it’s half-baked. It works, but it doesn’t move me. Hopefully, the original Dior Homme Parfum returns someday, because if this is already a gem, I can’t imagine what the older brother was like. Pure elegance. A perfume that dresses you better than a suit.

It’s elegance bottled. It literally smells like money. Wear it with a suit. It has beastly projection and longevity. The downside is that personally, it causes fatigue. I’ve worn it 4 or 5 times and almost always get a headache. But well, for a special occasion, like a wedding, you need to have it. It’s a blind buy; you can’t not like it.

I absolutely love this perfume and don’t even know where to start, but here goes. It all began back in 2016 with some hype on a forum that led me to try it, but already with the preconceived notion that it was for old ladies or smelled like lipstick. And yes, that reputation was true, and I backed away in the store. How could it smell like that? I don’t remember what made me try it again in 2018 (wow, years passed), but I was instantly smitten. I noticed a certain chocolate scent and asked a friend as crazy as me about this hobby, and to my surprise, he confirmed it. Then, being as obsessive as I am, I went on a mission to get it. In the middle of summer, a friend told me about a website selling testers from a 2016 batch clearance, so I bid and won. I won’t even tell you how happy I was, although back then, and especially in my province, wearing this Dior was basically suicide. It’s a perfume that feels like it boosts me if I’m wearing a shirt in weather under 20 degrees. It gives me security, etc., just like Sauvage did in its time. Plus, it has fantastic chemistry with my skin because, while you can smell the iris, on me it smells more woody. Definitely in my top 3. Demachy sets the bar very high for this brand; probably no one is up to the height anymore). Cheers to the readers.

A perfume you either love or hate; luckily, in my case, I love it. To me, it’s masculine; I can’t imagine a woman wearing it, but I respect every opinion. It’s not versatile or suitable for extreme heat. The quality of its ingredients is undisputed; I hope they never mess that up. I don’t recommend buying blind because it can’t suit everyone. For me, the perfume is rich, masculine, long-lasting, high-quality, and gets compliments; what more could you want? I would buy it again and again.

I had already left my review, however, I just read someone below saying all perfumes should be unisex. Stop this nonsense of wanting to do everything without gender or identity. Thanks to God, perfumes do have their masculine and feminine genders. Some unisex ones are good, but generally, they all lean one way; none are completely genderless, as they can be a bit masculine or a bit feminine. Why do they keep with this absurd ideology? Said that, I don’t know if the perfume has macerated a lot, but its longevity improved too much (compared to my previous review); it lasts and projects a lot. My batch is super old, probably from 2015, and since it’s a tester, the liquid is almost pure gold; I keep it and use it only on special occasions.

Powdery elegance. The much-praised Dior Homme Intense requires a condition to be appreciated: you must like iris. And not just iris, but talcum-powdered, cosmetic iris, with that fine makeup air that defines its character. On skin, what you perceive is practically a single dominant note: iris. Adorned with light touches of lavender and a subtle sweetness from the musk, but without evolution. No twists, no surprises. It’s linear, elegant, and very marked by that powdery profile that some love… and others not so much. And yes, it was a blind buy that didn’t turn out to be my vibe. It’s not a youthful or versatile option. But I recognize it has its place: very formal occasions, suits, events where you want to project classic elegance. I know many influencers recommend it, but my advice is simple: test on skin and decide later. I give it a 3/10 for personal taste. It’s not bad, but it’s not for me.

Dior Homme Intense is irrefutable proof that companies want to keep selling perfumes as if they have a gender just to promote a false idea of masculinity and femininity. This is a rich, clean, lovely, and extremely similar perfume to Jo Malone’s Myrrh and Tonka (and no one mentions it), which, although Dior came out first, Jo Malone delivered something equally rich but ‘unisex,’ as all fragrances should be.

It could be niche. That iris is enveloped by a chocolatey note that makes it especially addictive.

I consider that I have lived with this perfume long enough to speak about it properly. Dior Homme Intense is, for me, an exquisite, mysterious, and radiant elixir; an elegant, intimate, and magnetic gentleman. It masterfully evokes someone of impeccable bearing, charming attitude, and serene security, wrapped in that silent luxury that doesn’t need boasts. The opening with sparkling pear adds a luminous, almost effervescent sparkle that soon blends with the true protagonist: the iris. That characteristic, addictive, and sensual iris, with a powdery yet chocolatey nuance, which feels almost tactile to me. When smelling it, it’s as if I could touch the flower with the tips of my fingers, feel its rough texture, three-dimensional, alive. As if it were an accord of leather, but transfigured by the delicacy of the iris into a harmonious symphony. It’s incomprehensible to me that someone can disdain this ambrosia with light comments. I condemn that olfactory blindness, because here there is no vulgarity or artifice: only greatness. I invite you to return to this perfume with humility, to let its secret language speak, to listen to it without prejudice. Perhaps then you will discover the poetry that has been invisible to you until now. I deeply admire the composition itself, the way each note chains with the other, creating a perfect symphony, an architecture of shadows and lights where nothing is superfluous and nothing is missing. Everything is in its place, as if each chord had been carved with millimeter precision. It’s the demonstration that perfumery is art, and that Dior reached here a peak difficult to equal. Without thinking twice, I would buy it one and a thousand times more. For me, it’s one of the greatest exponents of contemporary perfumery and undoubtedly, one of Dior’s most memorable creations, even above many of its private line.

Dior sets the bar so high that it’s no longer surprising. This fragrance is unique, memorable, elegant, discreet but not invisible; it denotes class in the occasions you use it. It’s easily the fragrance that has given me the most compliments at work, and the most enthusiastic compliments, although frankly, I haven’t paid attention to this topic in a long time. And yet, it has been impossible for me not to remember how enthusiastic the comments were and the sighs this fragrance generates.

Masterpiece, what a richness of perfume. For me, one of the best in history. Period.

A perfume only for special events or when you feel confident enough to wear it. For daily use, it can get boring. Excellent.

Dior Homme Intense is a monument to Moroccan musk. Along with the iris accord, it achieves a richness and depth that puts Prada L’Homme Intense in second place. Today everyone looks for fragrances to hit on, go to work, or their son’s birthday party, but this has no rival. It’s not for everyone: it’s for a man who transmits confidence without arrogance, who knows, who observes, and who isn’t dominated by anyone. The opening leaves a trail of lavender, fresh and brief, that soon withers, dies, giving way to the heart of iris and musk, warm, deep, almost tangible. It’s elegant without being frivolous; it has weight, character, and that magnetism that captures without effort. Its longevity is just right, leaving a trail around a meter and a half; in enclosed spaces its presence elevates, but on my skin it never becomes explosive. And yet, when someone says goodbye, they can’t help but tell you how good you smell. And you just respond, with a touch of complicity: ‘Dior’.

I bought my second bottle and confirm that few fragrances possess such elegance and versatility. It was my first time smelling iris, and it was love at first sight. I couldn’t understand how a scent could be so exquisite yet so distinct; I’d never tried that accord before. The opening is an explosion of iris and aromatic lavender, very rich. Within minutes, that clean lavender sensation gives way to the signature Dior iris. Curiously, my nose always detects a similar leather accord alongside earthy notes, probably from the vetiver. As it dries down, the iris remains the star but becomes more buttery, sweet, and musky. Many don’t smell the pear, but I do; even if it’s not the strongest note, it adds juiciness. It’s elegant, but in my opinion, you shouldn’t wear it just for formal events; this perfume dresses you, not the other way around. I’ve worn it with a leather jacket, jeans, at the office, and on nights out with friends. The longevity isn’t the best, but not as bad as people say; on my skin it lasts about 8 hours and on clothes all day, which is more than average. Sillage and projection aren’t its strong suit, but I love that it invites people to get closer. I’m not a fan of scents that blast from 4 meters away; this one is refined, neat, and elegant, not calling attention but not going unnoticed. It leaves a trail every time you move, and people always look up. Without a doubt, it’s in my top 3 of all time because it suits my personality. I’d buy it a thousand times over, though I’m scared that new batches might do something similar to the late Dior Homme Parfum. I love you, Dior Homme Intense.

I went to try it with my partner after all the recommendations I’d heard. The truth is, it’s a good perfume with a lot of attitude and presence, but I feel it’s better suited for bigger men and can come across as too invasive.
carlosascencio
The jewel of my collection. I use it for events and special nighttime occasions. I love the opening, and the dry down is out of this world. I have both the Intense and Parfum versions, and I love them both.
Avalon1224
A perfume with presence and character. The iris flower is the dominant note, and far from seeming feminine and outdated, it’s well-balanced with the other supporting notes. So it lends a certain authority and character to the wearer.
titancilo
I bought it based on unanimous recommendations. It’s not the type of perfume I like most; in fact, the iris gives me a certain discomfort, so to speak. But one must admit it’s very good. We’ll keep giving it chances for special occasions. 8/10.

Dior Homme Intense 2011 is not just a perfume; it’s a style statement. It’s modern sophistication made into fragrance. From the very first moment, its powdery, enveloping iris sets the tone: silky, almost creamy, with a presence that doesn’t need to raise its voice. The opening is soft yet firm, with that iris and lavender accord that sets it apart from any other designer fragrance. As it evolves, amber and musk combine with a discrete vanilla, adding elegant warmth, never cloying. It’s the kind of perfume that makes you feel dressed up even if you’re wearing something simple. A fragrance for cold nights, classy dinners, or moments when you need presence without being loud. And here comes the problem: they’ve discontinued it. A decision I don’t understand and, honestly, it bothers me. In a market saturated with ephemeral launches and soulless flankers, Dior Homme Intense was one of the few designer perfumes offering quality, identity, and flawless performance. Why eliminate what works? Nowadays, getting an authentic bottle has become a challenge (and a luxury). That turns this jewel into an almost collectible object. Longevity: Excellent (8-10 hours). Projection: Moderate but persistent. Ideal season: Autumn and winter. Personal rating: 9.5/10 – A modern pillar of men’s perfumery. And yes, its discontinuation hurts.

A great perfume, elegant, very well made.

Smells like an older man, not bad, but definitely like a perfume for an older man.
