Descripción
Hugo Boss Boss Bottled Eau de Parfum is a woody-spicy fragrance for men. Launched in 2020, this olfactory composition was created by Honorine Blanc. The top notes reveal a vibrant combination of apple, black pepper, and bergamot; the heart unfolds warmth with cinnamon, cardamom, and chestnut; while the base notes settle into a sophisticated register of musk and vetiver.

It’s another one of the thousands of Boss Bottle flankers; they just added EDP and called it a day. It smells the same: fresh, classy, a delight… that’s the good part. The bad part: the longevity is non-existent, it’s not there. Applying it only gives you time to smell it a couple of times; by the third sniff, there’s no trace left. If I’m generous, I’d say it lasted 30 minutes, then I had to press my nose against my skin for another hour. I don’t understand how far they’ll go with this fixation scam. What a pity; I don’t recommend buying it unless you carry the applicator with you.
Smells amazing. It starts citrusy but maintains a sweet masculine vibe throughout its duration, ending with a very creamy olive wood that gives it a fantastic finish. It follows the line of new fragrances like Le Beau by Gaultier or Bad Boy by CH, but is less sweet and closer to the original’s accords. It’s in the dry-down where it gets closest. It’s good, novel, current, girls like it, and it never fails. It’s a bit pricey, I suppose it will drop to the price of the other flankers over time.
The official notes are: Top Bergamot and Apple, Heart Cardamom and Sage, Base Olive Wood and Vetiver. I’ve been wearing the EDT since 2000 and had lost its intensity. This flanker reminds me of the original version in the opening, but it highlights the bitterness of the sage like the YSL Y. The base is a clean olive wood. Very elegant.
Typical generic perfume, sweet and synthetic. Hugo Boss keeps disappointing more and more with mediocre launches.

I bought it blind and it didn’t disappoint. At first, you notice the cardamom and pepper, then the cinnamon, and overall it’s quite sweet. The performance is pretty good…
German, simple, and efficient. That’s the best you can say about it. It opens spicy and gradually sweetens with cardamom and cinnamon, though the notes are hard to distinguish and it lacks depth. The projection is good for a Hugo Boss fragrance—strong at first (be careful not to overdo it, it can be overwhelming), reaching your nose and others’ easily. It’s versatile, casual, and works for any season except summer. Because it’s sharp and spicy, I see it as ideal for outdoors or open spaces, not so much for indoor dates.
I’m confused by this launch. It’s an EDP that was supposedly meant to be ‘Bottled Intense’ (2015) but came out as an EDT, followed by the ‘Bottled Intense EDP’ (2016). In the end, this EDP is the one that deviates the most from the DNA of the other three. It smells much sweeter, lacks that masculine acidity, and has a bubblegum vibe.
Among the notes I confirmed it has chestnut. Besides, it’s a real chestnut: an ultra-generic smell with a pepper so common it’s even annoying to the nose. Too much spice, I’m going to wash my hands before my head hurts. Save your money and go to Zara. I had a discovery set of the Classics and I don’t remember which one it was, but there were some very similar to this one.
I checked the notes and it lists nutmeg, but I’d dare to say this perfume is a total bust. Ultra-generic smell with a pepper note that’s overused, even to the point of being annoying. Too much spice; I’m going to wash my hands before my head starts hurting. Save your money and go for something from Zara instead. I had a discovery set of the Classics and don’t remember which one was similar, but there were a couple that were very close to this one.
I gifted it to my husband a few days ago and uffff, my goodness… what a delight!!!! It’s a different scent from what I’m used to in men’s fragrances; it feels sweet but fresh, fresh but spicy and peppery. I’m fascinated by it; it makes me want to jump on him. It has great sillage and longevity; I find it suitable for any occasion. I think Thor’s advertising has done almost all the work for this fragrance.
Note to buyers: this doesn’t smell like HB Bottled; the scent is totally different and generic. Not worth it.

I bought it a few days ago, and honestly, I don’t like it much… it lasts very little on my skin and doesn’t blow my mind like I expected. It’s a nice perfume, but I think there are better options for that price.
Undeniably, it smells good, but it just doesn’t grab my attention. Although it’s sweet, I don’t see it for winter; I think it’s more for fall and cool temperatures, not cold ones, because the performance in the cold is low for an EDP (short projection and trail). It lasts about 5 hours, barely scratching 6. It’s not a party fragrance, so it works perfectly for daily wear. It’s one of those scents that, good or bad, is always acceptable. As for the price: 50 euros for 100ml is expensive for what it offers, especially when there are so many options on the market. I confirm that Hugo Boss, and especially the Bottled line, doesn’t have good performance on my skin.
At first, this has nothing to do with the classic Boss Bottled. It took me a while to get used to it because of that very artificial apple scent, like a bathroom air freshener, but with use, I’ve grown to like it. Performance is good: 8 hours of longevity with decent projection for the first two hours. I find it ideal for the office or daily wear; it projects seriousness—you won’t turn heads, but it will be enjoyable. It’s a like, not a love; I probably wouldn’t repurchase when it runs out unless I found it at an excellent price, like the 1,000 pesos I paid. If you can, try a decant before risking a full bottle.
Boss Bottled Eau de Parfum is aromatic, spicy, and woody. The opening is fresh, spicy, slightly fruity, and sweet, with a bubblegum-like sensation that lasts about 15 minutes before turning more spicy and woody. Fragrantica mentions cinnamon, but here I notice more cardamom and pepper; the nutmeg brings it close to fragrances like Gentleman Reserve Privé. It’s suitable for spring, fall, and even winter, ideal for the office, night outs, or romantic dates thanks to its spices and woods. Longevity on me has been good, over 8 hours, particularly noticeable at the start. It’s pleasant and easy to like, with a modern scent that distances it from the classic formula to the point where the original DNA is barely recognizable. If you’re looking for something more potent than the original, you won’t find it here; that’s what Boss Bottled Intense is for. My advice: test it before buying blindly.
It’s aromatic, spicy, and woody. It has a fresh and spicy opening, slightly fruity and sweet with a bubblegum sensation, lasting about 15 minutes before settling into a spicier and woodier dry-down. Fragrantica mentions cinnamon; it’s perceptible but not as much as in the classic version; here there’s more cardamom and pepper, and you can detect the hazelnut, bringing it closer to Gentleman Reserve Privé or Stronger With You. Suitable for intermediate seasons like spring and autumn, or cold winter days, ideal for the office, night outs, or romantic dates. Longevity with me has been good, over 8 hours and noticeable at the start. It’s pleasant and easy to like, with a modern aroma. By modernizing it, it moves away from the classic to the point where the original DNA is barely recognizable. If you’re looking for something more potent than the original, you won’t find it here; that was what the Intense EDP was for. My advice: try it first, don’t buy it blind.
A good perfume for daily wear. The scent is pleasant, and although it’s sweet, it still feels fresh.
The ‘Bottled’ line is my favorite in the entire Hugo Boss range, though performance has always been the issue. I’ve tried EDT, EDT Intense, Eau de Parfum, and Parfum… I feel like I’m missing an ‘absoluto’. It’s unforgivable that they label something as Eau de Parfum or Parfum only for it to perform like an EDT. This Eau de Parfum has a classic, elegant scent with a sparkling opening of fresh, tart apple and a very refined spicy dry-down… but it stays right up against the skin. For me, it’s ideal for the office, business dates, or personal enjoyment. It’s not for romantic dates—it’s too serious—and not for large events because it gets lost in the crowd. There are similar options with much better projection.
I’ve always been a fan of Hugo Boss’s DNA, but none of their lines lasted as long as I’d like. With this one, even though the quality isn’t top-tier, I finally get that super-masculine, seductive vibe from the original. On my skin, it lasts over 12 hours. After 7 hours, it settles into a nice nutmeg and pepper note; while I don’t dislike it, it dries down beautifully with its classic apple, cinnamon, and bergamot opening. It delivers everything I was always looking for without achieving it before. It’s the perfect daily option: masculine, seductive, and reliable. What more could you ask for?
Very fresh and youthful chestnut aroma
Let’s look at the notes declared on the Coty box: TOP NOTES: Bergamot, Apple Accord. HEART NOTES: Cardamom, Sage. BASE NOTES: Olive Wood, Vetiver. Where is the chestnut? This on Fragrantica is sometimes an incredible lack of rigor. I’m not saying it doesn’t have more notes, but what about chestnut?
Let’s analyze the scent from two perspectives: 1- If you’re looking for the EDT aroma but with more power, longevity, and projection, you won’t find it here, as several say: that was the discontinued Boss Bottled Intense. If you’re a total fan of the EDT and the Intense EDP, you’ll be left with the feeling that this Bottled EDP ‘isn’t as rich.’ In the opening and heart, you can perceive the DNA of the EDT, but in the dry-down they practically don’t match; here it distances itself quite a bit. It’s a more mainstream, generic, and currently sweet scent. Without the wood and plum that make the EDT so special and recognizable. 2- The scent of this Bottled EDP itself: good opening, correct, with sweet citrus. Then three notes prevail: chestnut, cardamom, and musk, which give it a pleasant sweetness, not cloying like others in the same theme. It has good performance in projection and longevity; every so often you feel soft bursts that linger on the skin for many hours. It doesn’t project much, generating more a pleasant personal trail. It’s a decent fragrance, but it’s far from the magnificent classic Boss Bottled EDT. I bought it blindly, I’m not regretting it because I like it a lot, but if I didn’t have the EDT or ran low on it, I would regret it and wish I had saved some of the EDT.
He read that the Bottled versions usually fail, so I wasn’t expecting much from this EDP, but it surprised me: on my skin it lasted longer than I thought, around 6 hours. Just to clarify, I don’t look for much more because I overapply; I’m from France and I don’t leave the house for more than 6 hours anyway, so I can always reapply. The scent is safe, pleasant, and very linear, like apple and cinnamon from start to finish (it reminded me of YSL’s Y), sweetened with sobriety and without other accords standing out. It works for any weather, just in the evenings during summer, but for me it’s an all-rounder. It exceeded my expectations, and since it’s on sale, I recommend trying it.
After reading endlessly that the Bottleds have poor performance, I didn’t expect much from this EDP, maybe that’s why I was surprised: on my skin, the 2013 batch performed better than expected, comfortably reaching 6 hours. Let me clarify that I usually don’t ask for more for three reasons: first, I overapply; second, I’m from France; third, I don’t go out more than 6 hours without home, so I’m always on time to reapply or switch. After this intro about performance (which isn’t the most important thing for me), let’s talk about the scent. It seemed very safe, pleasant, easy to like, and very linear. It boils down to apple and cinnamon present from start to finish (reminded me of YSL Y), soberly sweetened without the rest of the notes standing out. Usable in any weather and occasion, maybe only at night in summer, but for me it’s an all-rounder. It exceeded my expectations and, considering it’s often on sale, I recommend giving it a chance.
Edit after more than 5 months of use: Different from what I said before, it’s way more than just a ‘decent fragrance’; it’s very good. It highlights its moderate but fiery sweetness. What stands out almost all the time is the chestnut, cardamom, and musk (that duo is dominant now; here, the chestnut gives a subtle pleasant nuance). Regarding the vetiver, something weird happens to me: I don’t always smell it, but today I noticed it in the opening, very noticeable. Earthy, damp aroma, like a pile of tree leaves in the forest starting to decompose into compost, simply exquisite when you can actually perceive it. A fragrance that’s been badly treated by some and underestimated by the community. Well, better for me since I love it, and every time hype is built around a cologne, it gets mass-produced, runs out, and the price goes to the moon.
Best for cool climates. Very rich and elegant. It smells clean, sweet, addictive, and soapy. When I wear it, people come close to me. I’ve worn it for almost a year and it’s one of the longest-lasting. I put it on at 6:30 am and it lasted until 9:00 pm. I usually spray 7 to 13 times, but 3 or 5 is enough. It’s incredible how long it lasts on my skin. Highly recommended.

These are my favorite fragrances. Hugo Boss Bottled is for gentlemen who announce elegance and get compliments. It’s a shame it doesn’t project much and its longevity on skin is moderate; you have to spray on clothes to leave a trail. I wish it lasted longer, beast mode. The scent is lovely and versatile, but it’s not great for hot weather. Recommended, but you’ll need to reapply.💪🏻
What a pity… it lacks the character of the original Bottled and goes in a completely different direction. I expected more similarity, but even though it doesn’t have its own identity, it’s not unpleasant. At first, it smells like dry pepper with a shy touch of apple; in the heart, there’s more cinnamon and a musk base. It doesn’t stand out in any way. I think there are better options with more personality and longevity.
I bought the Hugo Boss Bottled Eau Parfum in a box for a steal at 1,100 pesos. I verified the batch code and it’s genuine. Don’t buy it blindly at the supermarket; I tried it on a card sample and liked it, but once it dried on my skin, the dry-down didn’t convince me. It smells like a catalog entry, somewhat synthetic, nothing like a designer scent. Luckily, I sold it and got my money back.
Hey, this fragrance deserves its own name. In the EDT, you only get the apple note—it’s very subtle with a light sweetness. It blends herbs, woods, and clean air with spices that give it maturity. It doesn’t have much personality on its own, so you have to put your own spin on it. It goes great with a well-groomed beard, a leather jacket, a rugged watch, and muddy boots. It’s for men 30+ who are serious, don’t try to be the center of attention, but want to smell clean, fresh, and masculine. Performance: 4 to 5 hours, moderate projection. Season: All year round in wooded areas; otherwise, fall or spring. Occasions: Daily wear or dinner by the fire with smoke, meat, and beer. It’s rustic, clean, and masculine. If you’re that kind of guy, give it a shot at least once.
