Descripción
Chanel Bleu de Chanel Eau de Parfum is an aromatic woody fragrance for men. Launched in 2014, the nose behind this composition is Jacques Polge. The top notes reveal grapefruit, lemon, mint, bergamot, pink pepper, aldehydes, and coriander; the heart unfolds with ginger, nutmeg, jasmine, and melon; while the base notes close the olfactory pyramid with incense, amber, cedar, sandalwood, Amberwood, patchouli, and labdanum.

What can I say about this classic… The truth is, it’s an exquisite and versatile fragrance from any angle. Strong citrus opening, then settling into incense and woods. As a scent, it’s a 10/10: super sexy and masculine. Best for summer/spring (though it can be worn year-round), both day and night, for the office or a date. Compliments: 10/10. Longevity on skin is about 5 hours (2022 batch). Weak projection: noticeable for the first half-hour at arm’s length, then a personal bubble. After four hours, just a skin scent. Highly recommended; pity the high price, but if you can get a bottle at a good deal, don’t hesitate. Buy blind.
Super rich perfume for men, clean and masculine. Can be worn for any occasion of the day since it doesn’t smell annoying or overly invasive.
It’s not a pretentious perfume, and that, along with its scent, are its greatest virtues. Amidst so many sweet colognes and ‘beast mode’ fragrances, it seems we’ve forgotten that sometimes what matters is wearing a pleasant scent that doesn’t numb or burn the nostrils of those around you. It’s a mature aroma; I wouldn’t recommend it too much for young guys, but don’t go crazy with age limits either—I wore it at 24. It’s the ultimate all-around cologne: dates (without overwhelming the person next to you), office, weddings… For any season and time of day, it won’t feel out of place. There’s life beyond the vanilla note, and often it’s enough to just smell good up close, even if later your colleague in the JPG Le Male Elixir overshadows everyone.
Hi, hope you’re all doing well. I bought the 150ml bottle over a year ago and just realized I never left a review. It’s a perfume I like; I got it because of the hype, and while the Parfum version is one of my favorites, this one didn’t quite blow me away. It’s good, with the typical Chanel quality, but on my skin, the opening feels a bit acidic. I get that it comes from citrus, especially grapefruit, but on me, it feels dry and bitter, mixed with that typical aquatic shower gel vibe. Over time, that acidity fades, leaving a scent like a high-end shower gel with smoky incense notes. In the dry-down, the aquatic notes recede and some clean, pleasant woods take the lead. It’s versatile, but due to its modest projection and longevity, I think it works best in warm climates, during the day, and for casual or semi-formal occasions. The Parfum version, on the other hand, is suitable for all seasons and thanks to its depth, it’s much more impactful. Greetings from Argentina.
The ultimate office and date perfume. From the very first time I smelled it, I fell in love. The only downside is its low longevity and projection, which is why I’m thinking about buying the Parfum version to see how it compares. The 150ml bottle I have now, which I bought a year ago, is almost empty. I’ve used it on many occasions and it’s earned me several compliments.
Honestly, I was disappointed. It smells very similar to much cheaper fragrances, so it doesn’t justify the price. The scent isn’t bad—lightly woody citrus notes that turn amber later, which no one will dislike—but for that reason, I’m giving it 7.6/10.
It smells nice, but I find it a bit too precious. I wouldn’t recommend it.
I love this perfume; it smells amazing and is very versatile, suitable for all ages. I feel like wearing it all the time. The only downside is that it projects very little; it’s extremely subtle. I have the EDP version, which lasts quite a while, but the sillage is minimal. I’m not sure if I’d recommend it, but the scent absolutely doesn’t disappoint. Maybe it projects more for others.
An excellent fragrance—fresh and elegant. The only thing missing is longevity; on my skin, it barely lasts an hour or two, which is a shame for something this good.
If I had to choose just one fragrance for the rest of my life, this and Acqua di Giò Parfum would be my top two picks. They’re absolutely delicious and super versatile for any occasion: winter, summer, day, night, weddings, baptisms, or even just grabbing bread.
Some perfumes scream at you, but Bleu de Chanel whispers with elegance. It doesn’t smell like the sea or a forest, but rather that hard-to-achieve balance of vetiver, incense, and grapefruit that doesn’t compete—it dominates. It’s the scent of a successful lawyer or an architect who doesn’t need to show off on Instagram. No nonsense, no cloying sweetness; it’s an attitude that makes you seem more interesting than you are. A masterpiece that, if it suits you, leaves a mark effortlessly.
Honestly, I love this fragrance and it’s one of my favorites, but the longevity really leaves something to be desired. I recommend it for its high-quality ingredients and its great, versatile aroma, but if you’re looking for a perfume with incredible staying power, this isn’t the one for you.
Delicious scent with that initial minty touch and a fantastic transition and evolution. Too bad about the performance; the trail is very weak and the longevity is short. If it had acceptable performance, it would probably be my signature fragrance, but at least my batch smells amazing, even though it’s like invisible ink.
I just picked up Azul Brutal Dulce Amaderado. Low projection and longevity, but if it’s in your budget, it’s a beautiful scent. Similar dupes exist but they aren’t the same. Here, you get class and a fragrance brand ahead of the competition.
I owned this a few years ago; it was love at first sniff. I wore it to work, and the office would always carry that scent. It was my signature fragrance for parties and even on my wedding day. I don’t know why people say it doesn’t last or project well; I could smell it on my clothes for days and on my skin for over 9 hours. I guess they reformulated it, or maybe it’s just a batch issue. I finished two bottles, now I’m trying other options and giving Arabic perfumes a shot, but for me, Bleu de Chanel EDP always has a special place in my heart. The quality is unmatched, even with dupes trying to replicate it. It’s a fragrance you have to try at least once in your life and keep in your collection. A timeless classic, 10/10.
I’d say it’s spectacular, but… it’s a rich, woody citrus scent with a dense, smoky feel, but nothing matters if it doesn’t last or project. I wore it today and no one around noticed it, despite several sprays. That’s why I wouldn’t justify its price; paying almost $160 for such poor performance isn’t worth it. If I run out, I’d opt for YSL Y EDP or Dylan Blue. Scent: 10/10, Sillage: 5/10, Longevity: 6.5/10. P.S.: I put it on at 6:50 am and still feel it on my arms at 5:00 pm, but very subtly.
For me, Bleu de Chanel EDP is round, almost perfect. Not just because of its fame or reviews, but because it’s versatile, clean, attractive, and pleasant anywhere. On my skin, lime, mint, melon, sandalwood, and incense stand out, giving it that balance between freshness and depth. It’s a safe bet that never fails, ideal when you’re indecisive. It has incredible projection and longevity, lasting literally days. It’s a compliment bomb. Among the ‘big three’ blues (Sauvage EDP, YSL Y EDP, and this one), this is my number one. I wore it today at 35 degrees, and it wasn’t cloying or intrusive. Two sprays are enough to leave a mark without being overwhelming, and as it dries, it has a notable creamy touch from the sandalwood. It has everything: class, freshness, presence, and an attractive masculine touch that never goes unnoticed.
A masterpiece, the best in the Bleu line, and it projects amazingly well on me. By the way, the Iconic from Club de Nuit does an incredible job as a dupe.
Grapefruit, lemon, and mint are clearly noticeable notes. The grapefruit brings life to the start, but then it gets a bit powdery, which might be what some perceive as an ‘old man’ smell. I think it’s clean, neat, and perfect for any occasion. Yes, it’s delicious and incredible, but the longevity and projection are poor. Even with over 25 sprays, after two hours it stays purely skin-scented. If it lasted longer and projected better, it would be something else. It’s given me between 4 and 7 hours, which is rare. Only the first hour is detectable if you hug someone, then it’s just a nice body scent. Still, I love it madly; it’s just a pity the performance is so bad.
I had high expectations, smells nice but doesn’t last or project anything. Barely 2 hours before I need to reapply. For the price, it leaves a lot to be desired.
Rich, fine, and clean aroma. Citrusy and semi-sweet, perfect for formal gatherings. Not annoying, though projection and longevity are low; need to reapply every hour.
It’s not the most powerful on my nose, but the opening is rich and fresh with intense grapefruit. It darkens later without losing that freshness, confirming it’s a classic blue fragrance. I appreciate that it’s not sweet, though sometimes I feel it’s a bit boring but very pleasant.
The most sensual of the three Blues. More refined and mature than the original, perfect for dates. Lacks punch in polluted environments. Subtle citrus and pleasant woody/smoky base. Performance below its price and concentration; the Parfum lasts better and outperforms this.
Starts fresh and light, evolves into something warm and sweet. Perfect balance between casual and elegant. Good longevity without being overwhelming, ideal for daily wear and events.
I tried it in-store and was disappointed. Smells nice, but the projection is non-existent; after 2 hours, I barely feel it. You’re paying for the brand, not the perfume. In this line, Dior Sauvage is much better.
Positive surprise! Amazing scent, the opening is a bomb (I carry 10-8ml of refills). Lasts about 6-7 hours. The first hours are a bomb, then it becomes a personal bubble. I lack experience, but it smells sexy, not clean. Versatile for guys 24+ for daily wear and casual occasions. Not for cold winter. The clone Club de Nuit Blue Iconic smells worse, though it lasts longer.
I thought I’d love it more and it didn’t meet my expectations. A bit pricey for what it is. Didn’t captivate me at all.
Rich, but didn’t blow my mind. You can find better options for less money.
Good blue fragrance if you ignore longevity and sillage (on my skin it lasts 6 hours and is subtle); otherwise, it would be the king of blues.
Best blend of elegance and masculinity, super versatile.
I loved this BC EDP. In Mexico, if you want to buy it original, I’ve only found it at Liverpool and Palacio de Hierro. The good thing about those stores is that you can smell it before buying. I liked it a lot because I think it’s the most versatile of the BCs; the P and L Exclusif versions feel more like night or cold weather scents, but I can wear this at any time. The scent is citrusy yet serious, catching the attention of those nearby. It doesn’t last more than 7 hours.
Probably the best blue perfume on the market. It’s quite rich and addictive. However, it doesn’t justify its price.
I don’t like how it smells straight out of the bottle; the opening is ‘meh’, but once it dries down, it improves completely with that sweet touch that makes it pleasant. It’s not as ‘office-appropriate’ as people say, nor is it for suits due to that slight marine note; it’s more casual for daytime without extreme heat. It can come across as generic because it’s a very replicated DNA, so nowadays it might not make much of an impression and could smell common to others. That’s why I wouldn’t wear it on dates or parties to stand out. The brand stands out more than the scent since it’s so copied. Still, what I enjoy most is the dry down with the amber and patchouli. PLUS: Before buying it, I tested Club de Nuit Blue Iconic, and it doesn’t resemble this Bleu de Chanel version at all.
Batch 2019: This perfume demands you dress well. The grapefruit scent is exquisite; I haven’t smelled another that comes close to that quality. Maybe it’s not the most novel and won’t please everyone, but the opening is elegant due to the incense, fresh from the grapefruit, and dries down woody, where it shines the most. If you just sniff it from a distance or right after spraying, it seems very simple, but the magic happens when it dries down. It’s a delicious aroma even in 2025. Occasions: Dates and special events, but not outdoors because it projects almost nothing and doesn’t last long. Seasons: All of them, but especially spring and summer. Ages: My first bottle was a gift from my mom when I was 14, so I see it as very versatile for all ages. Longevity: It’s among the worst; it lasts less and less, in my case about 4 hours. Projection: 1 hour with a very weak trail. Price: $192. Recommendation: Honestly, it’s not worth it for the price; I keep buying it for emotional value, but coldly speaking, it’s not worth it and there are better options. There’s no rival in quality, but in price, longevity, and projection, there are better choices.
I bought it and the reality is it’s very good, but the longevity is poor; at best, it lasted me 2 hours. That’s why I’m giving it 5/10 and concluding I wouldn’t buy it again.
Definitely my favorite version of Bleu de Chanel, and it has to be the EDP. It’s rich, elegant, and super versatile; works in any moment or weather. The Chanel blend in this 2014 version is flawless. I tested it extensively in stores and airports until I managed to get a 2ml decant for $15. On my skin, I can finally confirm it’s worth it. The only con is longevity: I wish it lasted more than 10 hours, but nothing is perfect. Ideally, carry a 10ml decant and reapply every 2 hours. Still, the quality and versatility make up for it. My final rating: 8.3/10.
I love it; it’s definitely my favorite perfume.
Rich aroma; the only downside is that it doesn’t last long.
Clean scent, masculine, elegant, and crisp.
It’s an absolute beast, my favorite even over Parfums. It has everything: elegance, versatility, and a complexity that many struggle to accept. Yes, it’s pricier than direct competitors, but it’s worth every penny.
