Opens with intense citrus. The scent isn’t bad, but it doesn’t immediately make me say ‘wow, this smells good.’ Interestingly, if it smells good on someone else, then I consider it good. In my opinion, it’s a better dupe of Creed Aventus than Club de Nuit.

Very alcoholic opening, but dries down to something more pleasant, though it doesn’t project as much as claimed. Medium longevity. I’d much rather have the quality and aroma of Explorer Platinum: this one is fresh and long-lasting, but the other leaves a lot to be desired.

I’m young and I love strong, formal scents. I wear it for special occasions with a suit or tuxedo, though it also works for elegant sport, although something citrusy and formal like Sauvage EDP fits that better. It’s for an adult crowd, but if you’re young and like strong masculine aromas, this is for you.

They took the DNA of Aventus and trimmed it down to make it more commercial, gentle, and easy for the casual crowd to enjoy. It’s worth noting that ladies tend to prefer Explorer over other Aventus clones or derivatives, so if you’re looking to catch a female eye, this is an excellent choice. In detail, they made it much less smoky, swapped the fruity notes for soft citrus, toned down the green woodiness, and instead of moss in the dry down, they filled it with ambroxan. They also reduced the slightly bitter heart notes typical of this DNA and sweetened it up, but without overdoing it.

Perfect fragrance for formal occasions or for those over 25 wearing it daily. Smells serious, formal, elegant, with an addictive touch. Fresh, woody, with that rich ambroxan base. Ideal for making a good impression. Despite moderate performance, the projection helps keep it from being aggressive. Scent 8/10, projection 7.5/10, longevity 7/10.

Exquisite for most occasions. Long-lasting with excellent quality-to-price ratio if you want to stand out and smell good. Final note: 9.5/10, though on my skin it doesn’t last as long as it should.

Gentlemen, I don’t usually use that term, but I LOVE IT! Forget the generic fresh scents that dry down to bubblegum or smell like a hospital; this is on another level. It’s the best of Montblanc and, so far, the most incredible fresh fragrance I’ve tried. Explorer is a sophisticated all-rounder: a fresh, slightly sharp citrus opening, drying into a clean, masculine woody base. Picture beige bermudas, brown loafers, and a white shirt unbuttoned halfway; it’s the perfect combo. It’s gotten more compliments than L’Homme Idéal, though Explorer is even more versatile. It will never leave my collection; it has something unique today. I’ll be buying the Platinum soon. On me: lasts 8 hours (longer in the cold), projection 2 hours, personal cloud 2 hours, trail 4 hours, and sillage 1.5 meters. Recommended for signing, office, dates, and hanging out with friends. Not for sports or very formal events. Suitable from age 15. 7/10: masculine, clean, and attractive.

For me, the best Aventus clone at this price point. It smells super masculine, with juicy leather and presence, mixed with citrus and a soft spicy touch in the dry down. It’s super versatile for any time or weather, perfect for offices or indoor settings. Given the price, longevity, and scent, I think it’s the best option for any man, whether he’s 20 or 10,000 years old.

I love this fragrance, although the longevity is short, max 3-4 hours in cool weather. It’s almost identical to Club de Nuit Intense but with a brighter, cleaner bergamot. Between the two, I prefer this one for the scent profile, but it doesn’t last long so I stick with Club de Nuit. I own both, and on the opening, this one feels richer; the fragrance is higher quality, but due to longevity, I use the other more often. Both are great Aventus inspirations.

Although I haven’t tried the original Aventus to compare, this smells luxurious: fresh citrus with smoky touches and a hint of pepper that gives it a spark. As it dries down, the acidity fades and vetiver rises, adding more body. It’s super masculine, conveys confidence without being too formal. Not for all seasons, better for outside of winter. Projection is moderate, but longevity on skin is a beast, lasting up to 10 hours. Regardless of the comparison to the original, as a perfume in itself it’s a 10, and the best part is the price.

It’s a bomb, smells like Creed Aventus and tastes rich. I’ve gotten tons of compliments and it lasts way longer than the original, which lately fails on longevity.

Smells very similar to Aventus and smells better than Club de Nuit, but fails in the same way as the original: longevity is not its strong suit.

Greetings. I have four empty 100ml bottles and one almost finished, time to buy another. Montblanc Explorer is very well known, everyone knows about it. It’s very similar to Creed Aventus but has its own personality and women love it. It’s not linear, it has stages and each one is a delight. It tiring the nose a bit, which is why many say ‘it doesn’t last’, but I have batches from 2019 to 2023 and it has never failed me. It has a dark and mature vibe, nothing like those gum and strawberry scents young people are looking for today, it’s for old-school men, radical in their masculinity. The presentation is wonderful (Montblanc produces with class) and the quality of the notes too. If you have the guts, buy blind. 10/10.

Super versatile, it was one of the first I bought blind, they say it’s an Aventus clone, something like that… I don’t know, they didn’t have Aventus and I haven’t smelled it, but this perfume is great… good price and very good performance… on my skin it lasts up to 8 hours with 2 hours of moderate projection.

I got it for a steal. The resemblance to Creed Aventus gave me confidence, but the truth is, without smelling bad or anything, it doesn’t convey much. At least in my case. Moreover, the black beast with its synthetic touch conveys more to me. It fulfills its function and doesn’t stand out, but it falls short for me. 6.75/10.
