I’m here to sign off on the fragrance with the 1st review… I love it ❤️. Although originally it’s feminine, for me it’s my fragrance… (If you reapply in the same spot, your nose can get a bit saturated). You will never go unnoticed: it’s elegant, intense, by no means casual, very bold and floral with a soft sweetness. It usually smells better in cool climates. As for age, it reflects maturity and modernity at the same time. It’s not the typical fragrance that half the world might smell; Armani Code Absolu denotes confidence, it’s imposing. You’ll have to be very sure of who you are and what you want, as it’s very personal, one of those fragrances you can easily love or hate depending on your personality, and that makes it not suitable for everyone.
I was waiting for it to arrive in Buenos Aires. When I found out it had landed, I ran like crazy to the perfumery because, the crazy narcissus lover that I am, I needed to try it. Total letdown. The opening is strong, intense ginger, but soon the orange blossom from the narcissus emerges, intense and piercing, and stays that way for a long time. At the half-hour mark, the narcissus appears, but combined with tonka bean and vanilla, they become too sweet for my nose. Unfortunately, the fragrance never worked for me: not in the opening, not in the middle, not in the dry down. A total letdown.
I was waiting for this perfume to arrive in Buenos Aires. When I finally found out it had arrived, I ran like crazy to the perfumery because I, the neroli freak, needed to try it. It was a total disappointment. The opening is strong, intense ginger. But soon the orange blossom appears, intense and piercing, and stays there for a long time. Around the half-hour mark, the neroli appears, but combined with tonka bean and vanilla, which transform into a different fragrance, too sweet for my nose. Unfortunately, the fragrance never really grew on me, neither at the start, nor in the middle notes, nor the base. A total disappointment.
I tried it when it arrived in Argentina less than a month ago. It doesn’t retain the elegance of the Codes; it’s super sweet, with lots of vanilla and neroli, but not very long-lasting. On my skin, it messed up the flowers. I’m going to try it again because I had high expectations and maybe the weather didn’t favor the perfume. There are certain molecules that on humid days don’t work on my skin and smell like rotting grass.
A few months ago I was looking for Alien Essence Absolu and was surprised to find out it had been discontinued. Another out-of-stock gem, I couldn’t believe it. Today, during my usual walk through a perfumery, I dared to try it alongside its original sister, one on each arm. First off, this completely outshone the original Code at EVERY MOMENT, brutally. 1-0. (I’ll have more time later to test the original alone). I don’t like writing reviews based on a single test, but it seems to have a sweet freshness at the start, with my favorite flower (orange blossom), the citrus orange, mixed with honey (which curiously doesn’t appear in the notes). I loved it. On the way home, I noticed how it clung to my skin, strong but not suffocating. In enclosed spaces like a car, I could easily notice its presence. While it dried down, I couldn’t believe it: the base of Code Absolue reminded me a lot of Golden Alien (is it a coincidence that they share the same last name?). For fans of Alien Essence Absolu: forget it 😉
What a wonderful scent! It’s a deeper, richer, and more intense version of the original Code, which I also love, and it reminds me a bit of Code Cashmere but with its own personality. The scent is very well-rounded. The trail and longevity are excellent: over 8 hours on the skin and it lasts for days on clothes. It’s a well-balanced, woody, and sweet fragrance. It opens with a well-crafted ginger that gives it a sparkling touch, along with neroli and a delicious tangerine. The heart is exquisite: jasmine, orange blossom, and very chic neroli. The dry down with tonka, vanilla, woods, and sandal gives it a cozy, enveloping touch. After a few hours, a slight caramel note appears, how beautiful! I can definitely smell everything in this harmonious combination. It’s perfect for the cold of autumn or winter, day or night, for special outings; it’s not a fragrance for everyday wear. It’s for confident women. The box is matte gold and simple. The bottle maintains the design of the other Codes, but with matte gold on top and bottom, and clear glass in the center. It’s a floral oriental for women, launched in 2019. It’s dense, deep, and has a romantic touch. It smells classic, but not vintage. I love this creamy floral from the first spray to the end; it’s beautiful, very seductive, and enchanting.
I wore it today after a shower. I used Natura’s sweet almond body oil and it was a perfect combo! It’s incredible how much I’m projecting it. I love it! It’s much sweeter with the oil than without. From today on, I’m going to always use it this way!
I wore it today after my shower. I used the Natura almond milk body oil and it was a perfect combo. It’s incredible how much I’m projecting it! I love it. It’s much sweeter than without the oil. From today on, I’m going to always use it this way.
It came to me as a blind buy. At first, I didn’t smell anything resembling Dior Addict; what I detected most was a candied ginger note that reminded me of baby powder, with a very faint warm vanilla or tonka base. With these 30-degree days we’re having, maybe the weather suppresses it. I don’t think it’s the projection monster they claim, but I’d try it more. Edit: I gave it to my sister; I couldn’t handle it. It wasn’t the ginger that overwhelmed me, but the orange blossom—super potent. It’s orange blossom-ginger with a bit of vanilla. The performance is good, but it fatigued my nose until I stopped smelling it; my sister wore it all day.
Just arrived in my hands, a blind buy. At first, I didn’t find any resemblance to Dior Addict. I think the most prominent note is ginger, a soapy scent that reminds me of some baby cologne. In the dry down, there’s a warm note, perhaps vanilla, tonka, or something similar, but it’s very faint. Worth noting that it’s 3 degrees in my city right now, so maybe the climate is dampening it a bit. I also don’t think it’s the sillage monster some reviews painted it to be, but that will be a study for these days since I’ve barely tried it. Edit: I ended up gifting it to my sister; I couldn’t handle it. It wasn’t the ginger that overwhelmed me; it was the orange blossom, which is super potent in this perfume. Orange blossom-ginger-some vanilla, that’s it. Performance is very good, but I think because it’s so potent, it saturated my nose and I stopped smelling it, but when my sister wore it, it lasted all day.
The ginger note gives it a spicy kick at the beginning, making it very interesting and adding freshness. Within minutes, you start to detect narcissus and orange blossom, wrapped in the warmth of the base notes. The trail is moderate to high, and the longevity on me is over 8 hours. If I apply several sprays at night for a night out, I can still smell it when I wake up the next day. In its dry down, I sense a kinship with Dior Addict Eau de Parfum, but less vanilla-heavy. I see it more as a winter fragrance, for very cold autumn days, and especially for night outings.
I loved this scent: it’s somewhat creamy flowers, with a fresh and slightly spicy opening. It lasts a long time and it’s similar to the reformulated Armani Code which doesn’t last as long. So I loved this one. It has the right amount of sweetness. I use it on cool days and on autumn and winter nights.
I loved this aroma; it’s somewhat creamy florals with a fresh, slightly spicy opening. It lasts a long time and reminds me of the reformulated Armani Code, which doesn’t last as long for me. So, this one is a hit. It has just the right amount of sweetness. I use it on cool days and autumn-winter nights.
It’s addictive; I wear it at night or in smaller spaces where you want people to notice you. 😏 I tried this flanker before the original blue, and while they’re similar, the original highlights honey and narcissus more, whereas this one emphasizes tonka bean and vanilla. The ginger in the opening makes it not your typical sweet night vanilla perfume, but something more exotic and characterful. Every time I wear it, I can’t stop thinking about how well-balanced the notes are. ❤️❤️❤️
It’s addictive, for me it’s a night fragrance or for smaller environments where you want people to smell you and be this emoji: 😏. I tried this flanker before the original blue and I’d say they’re similar, but in the other, honey and neroli stand out more, and in this one, tonka bean and vanilla. The ginger in the opening makes it not your typical vanilla night perfume, but something more exotic and with character. Every time I use it, I can’t stop thinking about how well-balanced the notes are. ❤️❤️❤️
A powerful, overwhelming fragrance. I don’t know why I get a leather scent from it. It’s vanilla-forward, and the ginger gives it a very special touch. It lasts all day on my skin, and forget about clothes. It feels creamy, but I insist, it’s potent. I consider it ideal for winter and even for nightwear. It’s for someone with character, style, and great taste.
I didn’t like it; I’m sticking with the Code straight up. On my skin, it leaves a dry sandalwood, like walking into a dark, closed-down Indian shop, though it also feels creamy. It reminded me of Ralph Lauren’s Woman and Intense, which I didn’t like for the same reasons, so neither do I this one. They smell super similar on my skin. I don’t detect the orange blossom, the honey, or the tiny spicy kick of ginger that I love so much in the Code. It just didn’t work on my skin.
I didn’t like it; I’ll stick with the original Code. On my skin, it leaves a sandalwood scent that feels dry, like entering a dark, dry Indian shop that has been closed for a long time… it also feels creamy. It reminded me of Ralph Lauren Woman and the Intense from the same line, which I didn’t like for the same reasons, so I didn’t like this one either. They smell super similar on my skin. I didn’t detect the orange blossom, honey, or the spicy ginger kick I love in the Code. It just didn’t work on my skin.
This perfume didn’t grab my attention too much on the first try. Over time, I’ve learned to enjoy it, but I also don’t think it stands out too much in my collection or is absolutely novel. It has a sparkling citrus opening and a slightly spicy touch due to the ginger. Then it becomes a nice combo of jasmine and orange blossom (with the latter being the most predominant note) with a perceptible touch of neroli. It’s versatile, with a touch of elegance, but like many perfumes. The vanilla in the dry down that wraps around the floral part is subtle and not cloying; in fact, I miss a bit more sweetness in the composition. It has a moderate-soft trail and a longevity on my skin of 8-9 hours. To my nose, it seems much more floral and fresh than Dior Addict, I don’t remember it too much because the vanilla in Addict is much denser. It’s also much more floral than the traditional Armani Code, which I like more and projects better. It doesn’t remind me of Alien Essence Absolue at all. For me, it’s a daily wear fragrance that we can even use in office environments, as at least on my skin it’s not a projection bomb. It’s suitable for multiple occasions and seasons, although I especially like it in autumn and spring. I really wanted it, but it didn’t move me, I don’t think I’ll repurchase. Scent 6/10, Longevity 7/10, Sillage 6.5/10, Value/Quality 5/10, Versatility 8/10, Packaging 8.5/10. Would I buy it again? No.

It’s versatile with a touch of elegance, though common to many perfumes. Armani Code is my all-time favorite perfume, and while searching for an alternative, I found this younger sibling. It’s quite similar but not as spectacular as the original. It opens with a zesty, slightly spicy citrus note that dries down into something feminine and elegant, dominated by sandalwood and tonka bean rather than anything else. I find it versatile, less flashy and opulent than Armani Code, and ideal for cool days or nights. It has excellent performance, a respectable trail, and lasts more than 8 hours on skin and days on clothes. It’s a beautiful, warm fragrance without being over-the-top; perfect for a feminine, sober, and stylish woman.
My mom has this discontinued gem. It smells amazing, perfect for fall (10/10), and lasts quite a while.
