Smells very similar to the discontinued Code Profumo. If you liked the last one, go for it.
Is it supposed to smell like the old Armani Code Eau de Parfum? 😅 haha…
It has the modern Code style of the Parfum. It resembles the old EDP, the Profumo, and any vanilla-flavored Code flanker… more of the same, meaning exquisite things 😁
I’m a huge fan of the original Code EDP, but when I tried this new version, I was blown away: it smelled incredible. You can tell the heavy lavender and musk from before are gone. It’s spectacular! It has a crunchy touch from the nutmeg that, mixed with mandarin and tonka bean, creates a super rich, addictive, and powerful aroma. Yes, it reminds me a lot of Profumo and a bit of Absolu, but I love the Code EDP 2024 more because it literally smells like another world: extremely seductive, masculine, and with a conqueror attitude. Honestly, every time I wear it and walk into a place, people stare. 😃 For me, along with Guerlain L’Homme Ideal Parfum, these are the best launches of the year. 👌
Although I’m not a huge fan of sweet men’s perfumes, I needed something less formal for weekends but with an elegant touch for daily wear, so I bought it. Does it have class? Yes, but the longevity fails. I’ve been wearing it for 3 days, and after 3 hours, I can’t smell it anymore. Occasionally it pops up, but it’s not present in my personal bubble. I tried the EDT before, which projected much more (for me, too much, even overwhelming), but it lasted the same. Olfactory fatigue? Maybe, but I don’t think that’s it. I’ll put it away for a while to see if it improves like with other perfumes. In short, I’m happy with the scent (it’s not enchanting but not bad either) but disappointed with the performance.
What an exquisite scent! I fell in love the moment I tried it and had to buy it the very next day. The opening is very citrusy and sparkling for a few seconds, then the real magic begins with a creamy, musky nutmeg and vanilla. I’m saving this for fall in my area to use this masterpiece. But it’s not perfect: the trail is moderate, like any regular Code, and the longevity is too, although it lasts 9-10 hours on my skin. The only downside is the inevitable olfactory fatigue.
What an exquisite thing; as soon as I tested it, I fell in love and had to go buy it the next day. The opening is very citrusy and sparkling for a few seconds, then the magic of the nut begins with a soft, creamy, and musky vanilla, making me wait for autumn in my region to use this wonder. But nothing is perfect; the sillage is moderate like any other Code, and longevity is moderate too, though it lasts 9-10 hours on the skin (for me) without yet hitting that damn and inevitable olfactory fatigue.
The Armani Code Eau de Parfum 2024 is spicy, sweet, and amber-heavy. It starts with a fleeting citrus touch before launching into a spiced, vanilla scent loaded with tonka bean, nutmeg, cardamom, and a green edge. It’s elegant and very pleasant. It leans closer to the new Code Parfum than the previous version, even sharing similarities with Luna Rossa Black, so if you like those, you’ll definitely love this. It’s more of a night fragrance, though on cool autumn or winter days it could work for daytime too. Perfect for couple outings or special occasions calling for elegance. Longevity was good, lasting 8 to 9 hours, with decent projection for the first hour before settling closer to the skin.
The 2024 Armani Code is a spicy, sweet blend with an amber base. It starts with a fleeting citrus note before unleashing its full spicy and vanilla character, dominated by tonka bean and nutmeg, with hints of cardamom and a green edge. It’s elegant and very pleasant, more similar to the new Code Parfum than the previous version, and even reminds me of Luna Rossa Black, so if you like that style, you’ll love it. It’s better for night wear, though on cool autumn or winter days it can work during the day. Ideal for dates or events calling for elegance. The longevity was good, lasting 8 to 9 hours, with strong projection for the first hour before settling into a skin scent.
I bought it due to the Profumo rumors (both for men and women) and knowing it was very similar, I got it. I had tried the Parfum before, and this is much better… now I understand the Profumo’s success. It has a deceptive citrus opening that later becomes very powdery with vanilla… a clean scent yet sexy and stylish, the perfect definition. Longevity is about 8 hours and projection isn’t bad. It’s very well priced lately. It could be a blind buy, although few people will like it! 😀
I bought it because I’d heard so much about the Profumo (both for men and women), and knowing it was very similar, I decided to try it. I had already tested the Parfum before, but this one is much better… and now I understand why the Profumo was so successful. It has a citrus opening that deceives you, then turns into a very musky vanilla… a clean yet sexy and stylish scent… this is the definition that fits it like a glove. Longevity seems to be around 8 hours and the projection isn’t bad. It’s very well priced lately. It could be a perfect blind buy, although not many people will like it! 😀
Mmm, rich perfume. I smell a lot of leather or suede up close. Honestly, this is for dates. I wouldn’t wear it during the day for the life of me. It’s in between the EDT and the Absolu: heavier than the EDT but not as sweet as the Absolu, which is almost gourmand. I stick with the classic because I’m not a big fan of woody accords.
Mmm, smells good. I detect a lot of leather or suede up close; honestly, it’s for dates, I wouldn’t wear it during the day for anything. It sits between the EDT and the Absolu: heavier than the EDT but not as sweet as the Absolu, which is almost gourmand. I’ll stick with the classic because I’m not a huge fan of woody accords.
To me… I didn’t like it, even I disliked it. I don’t understand or comprehend, but simply, I didn’t like it.
At first, it smells good, with a masculine mandarin, but as it dries down, after 20 minutes, it becomes extremely sweet, nothing masculine. It has no note that highlights it as such; it smells like pure tonka bean with a bit of amber, too sweet. In the dry-down, it becomes unisex. A disappointment.
Pleasant, versatile, and clean. Smells like soap, slightly woody and sweet; it’s synthetic but rounded and pleasant. I love the tonka. Performance is satisfactory. No one has ever commented on it; it’s rich but doesn’t draw much attention.
A scent exquisite, formal, for closeness, ideal for late afternoons and cool nights. Citrus opening with a slightly dusty nutmeg, reminds me of half-hour candies, and as it dries, it smells like baby wipe cleanliness, total tidiness. Yes, I have to spray more than 10 times to feel it; it’s very for closeness and doesn’t project much while walking. I give it 8/10, its scent is fantastic.
It smells great on the opening, with mandarin and a masculine vibe, but after 20 minutes it dries down to be extremely sweet, not masculine at all. Nothing stands out as a masculine note; it smells like pure tonka bean with a bit of amber, overwhelmingly sweet, making it unisex. A disappointment.
It fulfills its purpose: to please. I could say it’s super synthetic (but rich) and hard to distinguish the notes, except for the tonka at 100%. Fun fact: it smells like strawberry wafer cookies from the supermarket, very funny. Use it informally, at night, on cool evenings, to go out for a drink or a club where you can catch attention by being playful. It projects and lasts, but I don’t recommend over-applying in enclosed spaces. It doesn’t dazzle, but it works in those situations.
This isn’t my final review, but I’ll share key points for anyone thinking of buying it. The most important thing: the longevity passes eight hours. However, the scent doesn’t fascinate me. It’s sweet but distinct from vanilla. I recommend NOT buying blindly and being over thirty years old.
Upon application, a clean and citrusy fragrance at first, rich and masculine as it dries down. Something weird happened to me: it smelled like a known perfume but I didn’t know which one. It was very familiar, and in the end, I remembered it, crazy, but its dry-down has a great resemblance to One Million EDT. I’d say it’s more refined. I’ll test its performance better and come back. PS: Good performance, about 6-7 hours, good projection. I insist, there’s something that reminds me of Om EDT, but I guess it’s just my thing.
For Code Profumo fans, this new EdP is 80-90% identical to the original; the difference is a fresher touch that makes it feel modern. The best Armani scent is back with a new name!
If I have to define it, it’s a mix of color and scent: green and spicy, almost peppery, with a soft woody base or an overdose of tonka bean. Masculine, formal, pleasant, and high quality. It’s not groundbreaking, but it leaves good impressions. Recommended.
Spectacular and phenomenal. The best reformulation of Soy by Armani so far; it revives the Profumo but is less sweet, therefore more usable. Period. I no longer seek the original Profumo. Thanks Armani.
Spectacular and phenomenal. The best reformulation of Armani Soy: it brings back Profumo but makes it less sweet and more wearable. Done, I won’t be looking for Profumo anymore. Thanks, Armani.
On skin, the dry-down is a nod to the golden Code Absolu: sweet, vanillaized, with a dry touch and that original DNA. Ideal for autumn and winter.
What a rich fragrance, reminded me of Carolina Herrera’s 212 Sexy with a citrus touch at the start and then you feel the vanilla, very easy to like.
What a perfume. Elegant and of spectacular quality. When you smell it, you feel something superior… Some recommend it as versatile, but I don’t think so; during the day it feels out of place. Best for dates or going out at night for quiet plans (not parties). Armani perfumes never disappoint; so far I’ve liked all of them and they set the trend rather than following it.
I’m an untrained user, I have all three reformulations of Code waiting for the Elixir in Argentina. The three share the essence but are distinct with different uses; it’s not just the concentration that changes. This is the sweetest, richest version. You don’t notice the iris or cleanliness as much as in the EDT or the Aromatic Parfum, but rather vanilla, amber, and sweetness. It’s already much more durable, the scent persists, and has good projection. On skin it lasts 7 hours, on clothes much longer. It’s much more wearable and less sweet than the Stronger With You line, which is distinctly for winter. I see it as all-year-round, just fewer sprays as the heat rises.
Top-quality perfume. It is true that it leans more towards sweet, but I see it as versatile for moderate heat, the office, or night outings where it shines. It doesn’t evolve much: opens with an energizing mandarin that lasts a minute, then becomes clean and spiced with lavender and nutmeg, always creamy thanks to the tonka bean. Lasts 8 hours on skin and longer on clothes. I’ve received many compliments from people more than a meter away at work, even after 3-4 hours of wearing it, so it has good projection.
Very particular scent, nothing like the rest… you can really smell the nutmeg and tonka bean giving it a special roundness. To me, it smells like a brand new car tire; that fresh rubber scent is super pleasant and elegant.
Arrived beautifully and I loved it. Starts citrusy, evolves with nutmeg, and closes sweet with tonka bean. Ideal for those over 25, it adds formality and maturity; perfect for work or dates, it creates intimacy but isn’t for clubs. Medium projection for the first hour, then it becomes skin scent.
I own the Code EDT, then the Parfum final version, and now this EDP; it’s the least versatile, with a very marked and distinctive vanilla, making it my favorite ‘negative’ despite having the best performance. The EDT is super versatile, the Parfum is similar but deeper, and this one feels like an EDT with vanilla turned up to max. ⭐⭐⭐☆☆
