Descripción

Armani Code for Women by Giorgio Armani is a floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2006, this composition was created by Carlos Benaïm, Dominique Ropion, and Olivier Polge. Its top notes of Italian orange, jasmine, and bitter orange deliver a vibrant citrus opening. The heart reveals jasmine, orange blossom, and a hint of ginger, adding depth and elegance. Finally, the base settles into a warm, enveloping blend of honey, vanilla, and sandalwood.

Strong, very strong. I don’t detect any citrus whatsoever. Honestly, I perceive dried autumn leaves. Fortunately, it suits my boyfriend perfectly, and I enjoy it more on him than on myself.

  • It has an exquisite opening of bitter orange, which is what I perceive most when freshly applied. It feels citrusy yet warm at the same time with the sweetness of honey. I love it and it lasts several hours.

I owned it, and reading the notes now, I don’t remember it being citrusy. On me, it felt strong, somewhat bitter and spicy, then very vanilla-heavy, lasted a long time, and the trail was huge, perfect for cold winters.

  • It’s a citrus that could be perfectly unisex. I haven’t liked it much due to its acidity; I expected something more wearable. It gives me a headache when I wear it.

  • I’m increasingly convinced that fragrances have no gender. Of course, if you love perfumes. It has a sweet citrus opening to ready-to-eat, sweet and bitter oranges. Within minutes, sweet vanilla arrives to cover those bright oranges and calm them with its warmth; from there, jasmine buds emerge. What a beautiful scent! It has so many facets that you might think it’s masculine… For me, it has no gender. Beauty has no gender.

  • I had the luck to smell it at an airport perfume counter years ago and it hooked me. It’s a memory I won’t forget. Sadly, it’s not the type my wife likes. I perceived it as autumnal, floral, and elegant. I didn’t notice the citrus part much. I imagine a beautiful, clean, elegant woman with her hair done wearing it. If you’re a woman, I vote you buy it.

  • I’m talking about the old version with flowers on the bottle. The opening is slightly spicy, like sweet orange marmalade with honey, ginger, and vanilla. It projects strongly at first but fades after an hour. In the dry down, it’s a comforting, honeyed floral dominated by orange blossom. By 9 hours, it’s pure vanilla and honey, reminiscent (though not identical) of other scents from the brand like Si or My Way. It’s clearly feminine, a cold-weather scent for any occasion. Unlike many reviews and my partner’s opinion, I don’t find it sexy; instead, it brings me to mind winter pajamas, TV under a wool blanket, or cooking something sweet. Pleasant: 7/10 Interesting: 5/10 Versatile: 6/10 Original: 6/10

Exquisite! I bought it blind based on the notes and I didn’t make a mistake. Orange and orange blossom dominate, combined with ginger and a soft honey. I loved this delicate and complex composition where everything blends perfectly. And it lasts forever!

When I wear it, I feel like the sexiest woman in the world. It smells very sensual and isn’t for everyday wear; it’s for seducing on a special night. People won’t just want you; they’ll want to take your clothes off and make love right there. It’s fresh, perfect for warm nights. The projection is obsessive and drives men crazy. I’ve lost count of how many strangers at clubs have come up to ask what perfume I’m wearing…

I have the old one, the flower version. Personally, I prefer the current one because I feel it’s sweeter. The downside is that the longevity is even shorter. The Armani Code flower had a strong, very bitter citrus opening, which was unpleasant (in the current version, it doesn’t happen; it comes out as a sweeter, softer orange). It’s well-spiced; you can feel the ginger. When the jasmine and bergamot appear, the scent attracts me more. The base is pure honey and vanilla with touches of sandalwood. Ugh, at this point, I’m completely his. It reminds me of the ocean on a quiet night but with waves, so deep and dangerous. It captures and obsesses me, making me addicted. Anyone wearing it is seductive, mysterious, nocturnal, sophisticated, spicy, potent, feminine, and sexy, designed not to go unnoticed. The downside is that it doesn’t last long on me and the sillage is low, but I’m so in love that I tolerate it. I’d buy it a thousand times. A true staple for lovers of dark, sweet white florals.

  • Karina Sotelo

Definitely one of my favorites. It transports me back to my teenage years and my first love. ♥️

  • Perfumadict

Interesting… I liked the opening more than the dry-down. For me, it has a vintage touch and a bit of tar, but it’s pleasant and easy to enjoy.

  • Floral with a natural sweetness, light and soft like a tender yogurt cake. The scent evolves right after application, and as it dries, it gains a very pleasant, elegant sophistication. I’m finding again that blends of orange, bergamot/jasmine, and honey work for me—they fit and I love them. The same happened with Elie Saab Eau de Toilette and Lady Million, which have that combination and conquered me. Maybe it’s because that composition is exactly the level of sweetness I’m looking for. It’s a sweet brushstroke that has nothing to do with sugar, cream, or caramel. The honey and bergamot add that small, translucent, sweet note that beautifies everything. In short, it’s a perfect balance between flowers, vanilla, oranges, and honey. A winning combination for me.

Very rich, very elegant; I wear it when going out at night. I feel it’s for special events like New Year’s, Christmas, a wedding, or a date…

  • darlenerock

It’s been part of my collection for years. I finish a bottle and buy it again. It’s one of the few I can’t live without (and I own many, many for real). I like it more with age. It’s enveloping, mysterious, deep, has a strong presence, and leaves a wonderful trail. Every time I wear it, people compliment me. It starts citrusy but not acidic, rather a sweet citrus. Over time, it opens up into a sweet floral with bergamot and orange. Every time I wear it, I feel sexy. Although I liked the flower bottle better, it’s a fantastic perfume I’ll never leave. I simply love it.

  • theperfumist

If I had to define this scent in one word: SEXY. It’s provocative, youthful without smelling childish—a perfume that opens your mind and makes you want more.

  • An enigmatic and mysterious fragrance. I have the original, and while it’s imposing, ginger is noticeable throughout the composition, making it more masculine. The spices overshadow the jasmine and dilute the bergamot; a certain spiciness invades the formula. As a lover of feminine scents, I stay away from this one. It works great mixed with sweeter, airier fragrances. I’ve used it little; it has a winter and nocturne twist. It feels distant and a bit cold. For me, it’s not sexy, though elegant and sophisticated. The new versions seem more comfortable to me. It all comes down to skin chemistry.

  • One of my favorites. It’s more nocturnal, though I used to wear it during the day and felt super confident in it. It’s potent and very different from the rest. I noticed a vanilla note, but it’s a distinct vanilla mixed with other things. I recommend it if you like strong, unusual scents.

  • The old bottle had black flowers and the scent lasted much longer than the current one, which is all blue.

  • debcalvella

It’s a rare perfume—citrusy but not fresh at all; more like a condensed citrus perfect for night or winter. I have the old version and don’t know if it differs from the new one. It’s the only citrus I own and I absolutely adore it, even though I usually wear super gourmands.

  • Rosario.90

To me, it’s nocturnal and mysterious. It opens a bit stridently, where I perceive the citrus and floral notes, then settles into a honeyed and vanilla profile. Sometimes I get a smell of pencil wood, like when you sharpen it; no idea why. Its longevity, projection, and sillage are quite good.

  • It’s a different perfume. You can’t judge the notes based on current perfumes (one might expect a sparkling sweet floral); this 2006 gem has character and depth, mystery, and presence. My mom had one back then, and now I have a 2020 version that feels sweeter than I remember. It opens citrusy due to the orange, but not sparkling or fresh; instead, it’s acidic with a dense jasmine covered by ginger… The sandalwood is hyper-present with ambered touches of honey. It’s sweet at the base, but nothing as sweet as today’s perfumes. Definitely sensual; I see it for women over 20/25, something mature and not vintage. It has moderate sillage but lasts 8 hours on my skin, good performance. I don’t recommend buying blind, but I do recommend trying it. Personally, I love it; it has the same vibes as L’Interdit Rouge (the Givenchy one is sweeter and warmer due to neroli, while Code is colder and darker with jasmine). They aren’t similar, but they share the ‘vibe’; both are sensual and ideal for night.

  • A fragrance I’ve always wanted since its launch but kept delaying buying until now, when I decided to get the original version that I fell in love with. This bottle looks much prettier than the current one. Scent and performance: a wonderful jasmine experience. At first, there’s a lot of orange accompanied by honey, soon joined by the bouquet of white flowers. You can also detect vanilla, especially when it dries down, which doesn’t fade but softens over time. Lasts 6 to 7 hours on skin and even longer on clothes.

  • Hi, while cleaning I found an unopened Armani Code Women case that includes its body milk. It’s a 2007 batch; I bought it as a gift but ended up keeping it. If anyone is interested, I’m open to offers (I live in Andalusia).

  • ari_sweetperfumes

I found it stored away; it was my mother’s and she never used it. At first, it didn’t really ‘call’ to me, but it has something I like. As the white flowers and bitter orange come out, they dominate, and then as it dries down, I notice jasmine, orange, and a distant touch of vanilla. It’s a bit old-fashioned, not youthful, and in my opinion, it’s high category—perfect for night events or galas due to its distinctive scent. Curiously, the orange note reminds me of Cacharel’s Amor Amor, but they have nothing to do with each other except that one touch. It’s a fragrance you need to know how to wear; not for daily use, but for specific days and cold seasons.

  • Kimmbaekkie

I saw reviews calling it a masterpiece: feminine, mysterious, imposing, sexy, and something men loved. So I bought it blind. Does it deliver? Yes, but not as I expected. It smells citrusy, but not sparkling; rather, it’s strong, mysterious, and slightly bitter. If you’re a confident woman who wants to smell sexy and mysterious, this is for you; it’s more nocturnal than daytime. On me, it felt very masculine—I offered it to my husband, and he said it was very feminine. Try it before buying.

  • I love the orange-ginger-honey blend. I thought it would follow the Scandal line, but here the orange with its white flowers stands out more; I even see it as formal leaning toward elegant. After 4 hours, it becomes creamy and makes me hungry. Very pretty; if the price drops, I’ll buy it.

  • aromadicta

Armani Code… a perfume that today is just the ghost of its former glory. Before, it was overwhelming, powerful, sexy, and warm; it embraced you and wouldn’t let go, making us exchange glances. Now, reformulated to the point of imbalance, it smells like a watery mix of all its notes. I miss the old one.

  • Pame.Betsabe

I picked this up on sale. It smells floral and sweet; at first, it feels vintage, but as it dries down, vanilla and honey take over, even hinting at leather. It ends up being somewhat masculine, even though I didn’t declare it. I like it, but it’s very formal—perfect for a work meeting to project professionalism. It’s not sensual at all, and I’m not sure when I’d wear it.

  • I bought it months ago and it’s one of my favorites, although I bought it blind without knowing exactly what it was. I’ve read they reformulated it, but I didn’t get the previous version, which was probably better. For me, the bergamot flower stands out in the opening, balanced with jasmine and bitter orange, sweet but not cloying. When it dries, after an hour, it’s honey with sandalwood (I don’t detect vanilla). It has presence, it’s sensual, warm, and intimate. I wouldn’t wear it in summer; it’s for the night, rain, autumn, and winter. Ideal for a romantic date, with your favorite dress and candles lit. Also perfect for being comfortable at home, on the sofa reading or listening to music, feeling fulfilled. That kind of perfume is for you.

  • Andrea Carolina

I didn’t like it. The opening notes give me a headache. Once dry, it smells like old cardboard. Maybe it’s my skin, but it just didn’t convince me.

  • The opening doesn’t work for me; it smells like a man. But wait a couple of hours and magically the honey, jasmine, and a touch of ginger appear, giving it character. That’s the trail that lingers on your skin for hours. Very captivating.

  • danaebaeza

What a weird perfume! Mystical and sexy, the name fits perfectly. I recommend it if you feel mysterious, like a code to be deciphered. Too bad it’s not for me… it intoxicated me too much with those sweet notes. On my skin, I prefer white florals and woody citrus. But if you’re looking for sweet and warm perfumes, it’s a resounding yes.

  • I love it, it’s unisex, dark, and perfect for the night. Rich, it’s the brother of my favorite Alien and has a spot in my heart. I wouldn’t buy it again, but I use it in winter or when it’s very cold.

  • Velvet_martin

Armani Code Donna: a sensual and refined opening with Italian bitter orange and jasmine. The citrus notes are sparkling but last longer than usual, very enjoyable. The floral jasmine hints at sensuality from the very first moment. Explosive and effervescent heart: sensual jasmine, luminous bergamot, and spicy ginger that energizes. A sweet but non-cloying base, thanks to the balance of honey and vanilla; sandalwood adds body and creaminess, with an enveloping, warm, and feminine trail. The current bottle is sober and elegant, with a violet-to-white dégradé, very Armani, and the spray works perfectly. We miss the original, more iconic, dark blue, and mysterious. Fixation is good and the trail is medium, ideal for the night or moments where you want to leave a lasting but subtle impression. Sensual without being intense. Verdict: floral, sensual, and elegant. Perfect for cool nights or dates. A modern classic that combines sweetness, light, and depth with that seductive Armani style.

  • I bought a decant to try it because opinions are divided. Being Armani and already owning other scents from the house, I thought it was worth it. The opening is very spicy due to the ginger, the only thing noticeable at first, but then the citrus and florals come in, bergamot and jasmine, making it elegant and sophisticated. I don’t smell as much honey as I expected, but I do detect the vanilla, giving it an air similar to Paradoxe. It’s delicious, though not as potent as others say nor as nocturnal. It has good performance and projection, albeit moderate. I’m not sure if the 75 ml bottle is worth it, but I’d love to own it.

  • It’s one of my favorites! Unique, warm, and mysterious without being cloying. It has a sensual but subtle sweetness that captivates you little by little, like a velvet and lace embrace. It enchants you with that blend of honey and vanilla, and before you know it, you’re in its clutches, surrendering to its arms every night. It’s a sensual and mature bomb, perfect for the afternoon but made for the night. Too bad they reformulated it cruelly; my review is for the old version, the good one, which lasts hours on skin and comes in a work-of-art bottle with crystal that changes shape when you twist it. The new one is a simple inspiration, I like it, but the original remains my crush.

  • Misperfumitos.78

Armani Code is sensual, warm, and elegant. It opens with soft citrus notes that give way to sweet, cozy, and creamy florals. It takes elegance to the next level, like a suit with the comfort of jeans. Perfect for cool afternoons spent chatting, reading, or enjoying coffee, or for winter days with a coat on. Its trail is moderate, but the longevity is eternal, without schedules or rush. More than a perfume, it’s a poem, an afternoon of art.

  • Misperfumitos.78

Armani Code is charming, sensual, and has a dark touch. It starts citrusy, spicy, and warm, before transitioning into sweet, soft, and creamy florals, keeping that cozy warmth. The creamy vanilla base blends with floral and citrus notes, elevating its subtle and comfortable elegance, like a suit with the comfort of jeans. It’s sensual and confident. On my skin, the trail is moderate and the longevity is very good. Great for cool afternoons, nights, cloudy or rainy days, or for reading and coffee.
