Exquisite fragrance. A delicious and enveloping vanilla. A total hit. A mature perfume that makes you feel empowered, sexy, bossbabe.

  • A friend used to wear it, she had many, and this was my favorite. It’s for special occasions; you put it on and know you’ll have a great time; for how mysterious, elegant, seductive, and feminine it is. One of the most delicious women’s perfumes I’ve ever smelled.

  • johaspring

I’ll just say I smelled it once on a girl at the movies and couldn’t concentrate out of curiosity; I couldn’t wait until the end to ask what she was wearing, and it turned out to be this wonder that I love.

If someone comes wearing this fragrance, they conquer me. Without a doubt, one of my favorite designer vanillas. Dior Addict has a bitter green opening with orange blossom and bourbon vanilla underneath begging to emerge. The citrus opens among the flowers, mainly jasmine, though they disappear quickly. It dries down to a velvet, creamy vanilla that blends with the jasmine, becoming intoxicating, sweet, and celestial. I admit it wasn’t love at first sniff; I don’t love its floral opening, but it has one of the most addictive dry-downs I’ve tried; that vanilla takes the crown and drives me crazy. It’s addictive, vibrant, feminine, seductive, captivating, elegant, and cozy. It envelops and embraces you. I don’t feel it’s too mature; I wear it well at 25. The sillage and longevity are moderate; I imagine it lasted longer before, but I’m not complaining. Dior Addict is one of those perfumes I want for life because it leaves me breathless every time I try it. I can’t stop smelling it; it’s ADDICTIVE AND ENIGMATIC.

I ordered a decant because I’ve always wanted to buy it. I realized two things: I don’t like Dior perfumes, and testing before buying is super important. Dior Addict goes straight for the indolic: green jasmine and strong powdery vanilla, almost unbearable. I read it was one of the best vanillas, which convinced me to try it. I was hugely disappointed. Like Poison Girl, it smells like human secretion—I hate it. I remember the smell of used baby diapers; not a lovely association. Although the dry-down is worse, the vanilla base also doesn’t work for me. It’s a dry, sweet, and very powdery vanilla. I don’t find anything I like. What a pity. Yes, I atomized it on a paper, and the whole room smelled like Dior Addict; it has incredible potency. The sillage is brutal; just standing in the door announces your arrival. If it’s your taste, it’s a perfume with presence, confidence, and elegance, perfect for signing or night. Not for summer, it’s too powerful. If you like Dior and powdery vanilla, you can find something here. For me, it’s a big no.

  • Dior Addict is a well-spiced, bitter, and citrusy vanilla at the start. I remember the first time I wasn’t thrilled. I think the magic lies in its dry-down: the citrus fades, and the spices settle to become noticeable but not overwhelming. It transforms into a sweet, powdery, and elegant vanilla, with a green note well-blended with white flowers. The green comes from tangerine leaves. The powdery aspect makes it sophisticated, sexy, and elegant. The spices make it dark, mysterious, and sensual. It’s an intoxicating, warm vanilla with many nuances. It smells spectacular on clothes, but on skin, it blends like a second epidermis—warmer, as if the scent is coming from within. I’m in love. I feel like a goddess, sensual, and seductive. I can’t compare it to previous versions because I’ve only tested this one. It’s perfect for autumn-winter, but I wear it more in fresh spring when its floral side shines. Longevity: 9 hours, sillage: medium. Scent: 10/10, Sillage: 7/10, Longevity: 9/10.

  • I have to say Dior Addict didn’t work for me. Fortunately, I tested it on my skin before buying, and it surprised me for the worse. I waited for it to dry, and that’s when I found it: on my skin, it smells like baby cereal. It’s not an unpleasant food smell, but not in a perfume at that price point. It bothered me so much that when I got home, I had to wash my wrists. I was eager to own it, but I ended up with a huge disappointment.

This perfume is hard to decide on. It means being a bomb of elegance and mysterious sophistication that never goes unnoticed, and one doesn’t always want to be “that” all the time. But for me, on specific occasions where my emotional state empowers me (and it’s not too hot), it’s perfect. It’s one of the few that recreates a mental image with movie-like details. I don’t smell it as floral, but super spicy, dry, sensual, elegant, and classy. It’s not my favorite because I’m not a team player, but it’s a perfume to own, enjoy, and savor.

  • I went to the perfumerie happy to buy it, and the girl tested it on my skin: wow, what a disappointment. They recommend it on YouTube, and I was left speechless. It smells masculine at first, but once it dries, it smells like baby porridge and a bit powdery. Extremely disappointed and grateful I didn’t buy it blind; I think I’ve learned my lesson: don’t believe the YouTube hype, always test first. I don’t think it’s worth the price.

Unique perfume that evokes memories. My wife had the 2012 gold bottle, and this 2014 silver one smells identical—an unforgettable jasmine-vanilla combo. I suppose the old one lasted longer, but you have to give it a good sniff before judging. The vintage version was more white floral and long-lasting. In my opinion, the scent has returned to its roots: very elegant, sexy, and wonderful.

  • Sweetvanille

What can I say? It’s my base perfume, I always have it… the others can come and go, but Dior Addict captivated me in 2012 and stayed with me. That’s why, 10 years later, wearing it for me is BEING ME. It’s opening my album of memories, of trips, and of friends… it’s my best years summarized in a scent. It’s highly addictive, a sum of elegance, it’s femininity, it’s WOMAN in capital letters. The opening of neroli is like a little girl, so innocent and mischievous. It develops into the maturity brought by bourbon vanilla, constant and very latent, with a know-how that only mature women know. You have to let it rest; it already knows how to make you fall in love.

  • Arasdepiel

As soon as I received it, I didn’t like it; it smelled like a mature woman, one of those perfumed aunties or moms, a rather classic, not vintage, but quite common aroma that I’ve encountered more than once, that’s my association. After some time, using it on a cold autumn night, I started to appreciate it and it became my favorite perfume for when I want to feel put-together and elegant. It has wonderful depth; the opening is herbal but sweet, the longevity is great, the trail is very pleasant and long-lasting. A small bottle can last a long time; it’s potent. Unwittingly, I discovered a wonderful jewel; plus, the bottle is so beautiful, minimalist.

  • Sweetalmond

Wow, what a piece of perfume, the scent is spectacular. I’ve felt love-hate with it because it’s such a mysterious scent. It’s very well blended; in the opening you catch the mandarin leaves, and then as it dries down, the jasmine and vanilla appear. Beautiful scent and very mature, perfect for a girl over 30. It lasts quite a while, then it dries down and you don’t notice it as much, but it’s still there, excellent work by Dior.

  • Pame.Betsabe

I bought it blind because I found it on sale. Since it’s a Dior and I already own a fragrance from this designer, I couldn’t fail… As soon as I received it, I wasn’t in love at all. On me, the mandarin leaf aroma dominated, making it too herbal. A few days later, I tried it again, and once the top notes faded, the jasmine mixed with vanilla started to show, making it more pleasant. It’s not just another perfume; I notice it for special occasions. I don’t dislike it, but since I have Poison Girl and am head over heels for it, I thought the same thing would happen. I recommend testing before buying, as they tend to be expensive. Edit: I gave it several chances but it just doesn’t work for me; it’s too herbal, I can’t handle it, hoping to exchange it.

  • BeatrizBlackwood

It smells different from the 2012 Dior Addict; I felt that version was sparkling, while this one (2014) is more powdery with a fine seriousness. I don’t know why the rose note emerges; I smell lots of rose in it. Don’t buy it blind.

  • Pachi San

I was gifted this perfume and at first, I hated it. It felt dense, very much like those heavy, cloying fragrances from the 80s. But I ran out of perfume and started using it every day. What luck I had to give it a second chance! At first, it still feels very heavy and invasive, but over time it becomes beautiful: the jasmine notes emerge over a vanilla base with a powdery, dry, and distinguished vibe. Now I like it, even though it’s not my signature scent or something I’d buy myself.

  • I bought it with high hopes because I smelled it on blotters and on two other people, but on me, the opening smells too herbal and the jasmine is sharp, like the Just brand oil—very synthetic. The dry-down is a miracle because the vanilla is crafted incredibly well. The trail is moderate, leaning soft, but the longevity on skin exceeds 7 hours. With more wearings, I’ll do an edit to see if I can adapt to the opening.

  • Dior Addict is different from every other perfume. I love it; it has class, presence, and elegance. When I wear it, I feel well-dressed. It’s sophisticated, with a scent of jasmine, mandarin, and vanilla that is captivating. I think it will always have a spot in my collection.

  • Addyi Spade

I own a Femme de Ungaro that smells almost identical to Dior Addict, even down to the notes, and it’s cheaper. It’s vanilla, floral, and super feminine. It costs $35 and the bottle looks nice. The trick is to let it rest for a while so the vanilla can do its magic. It’s powdery, feminine, and lasts about 6 hours, though I have poor skin longevity. I like Dior Addict, but on my skin the jasmine doesn’t stand out; instead, I get a bitter orange blossom, like it has sandalwood and heliotrope. Dior is elegant, natural, and sensual; on my skin it lasts 5 hours and I have an old formula. Hope my review helps you look into Ungaro, let it macerate, and try it.

  • Currently, it’s my signature perfume 🩷 It’s exquisite, elegant, long-lasting, sweet, and projects incredibly. I didn’t get the chance to smell the 2012 version, but the 2014 smells very good. Sophisticated vanilla.

  • DaviniaTolkien

Now I understand the hype for this fragrance; I went to the store to test it, and it’s simply DELICIOUS. It has such a sweet and beautiful vanilla! It’s not gourmand at all, nor would I say it’s super elegant (for me, that would be impossible, plus I already have Jadore Infinissime), but it makes a presence; it MAKES A STATEMENT. I smell my hand, and the vanilla this marvel handles is insane! The jasmine is beautiful, sweet… like crunchy. Undoubtedly, it’s an addictive aroma just as its name suggests.

  • Yadydecuba81

This fragrance is undoubtedly one of my favorites. I love it 💓 For those like me who love white flowers, this is a perfume you must try.

  • A full-blown murder, or how they ruined a perfume that was narcotic, sensually intoxicating… You just have to try the vintage and the current one; the creaminess of one versus the crackling water of the other. Dior’s move is screaming to the heavens, downhill and without brakes.

  • Qazle74i

I sprayed it on my wrist to test it and regretted it all day. It’s an extremely invasive aroma, like old flowers, like an older lady invading with perfume. The projection and longevity are incredible; I couldn’t get it off even after showering or washing my wrists many times. It was an aroma on the verge of giving me constant headaches; it bothered me even when I brought my hands near my face. It’s a perfume to make a statement if you like sweet flowers and extreme intensity; I see it on someone over 40.

DIOR ADDICT: AN ADDICTION IN DETOX. Well, my dear and beloved, because I no longer love you; it was like a breakup… haha. Since 2010, an addictive beginning, a unique persistence, a nocturnal vibe in an era of addictions where you got me drunk with your discontinued flower, the Queen of the Night, because that’s what you were: balsamic, oily when you sprayed. 3 sprays and a nocturnality that lasted past dawn and noon; oh, you kept going, not separating from me for a single minute in all my magical nights, casting magic too. How long did we last? 3 or 4 years… In 2014, you changed, and for the worse, very much so. You changed your scent; you stand out now, yes, but you’re not the ADDICTION you once created in me. You left me alone at 6 hours, maybe 8 if you’re feeling generous. After 2014, you were reformulated; they took away the dark vanilla, the Queen of the Night… You destroyed our relationship, causing me to detox from you completely. Do I miss you? Well, no, you played me in 2014… and marked me so much that you taught me a blackberry stain can be wiped away with another green blackberry… 😉 Bye Dior Addict, it was nice while it lasted… 😘

  • I’ve had this 2014 version bottle for about 4 years. I like the fragrance, but I’ve used it very little because I categorized it for fall/winter; in my country, the climate is warmer, the winter season is very short, and in some years it’s almost imperceptible. After 3 years, we’re having a cold fall, around 8 to 10 degrees, and I’m using it in that weather, and the cold eats it up entirely. Definitely not cozy for winter; it’s been kept in vain (that happens to me when I don’t give it a chance). I’d use it on spring afternoons/nights and autumn days, since with low temperatures, it projects almost nothing and I barely feel it. It’s a rich and fine aroma; it doesn’t seem very youthful/cheerful to me since those white flowers make it somewhat mature. I’m keeping it with me, but I don’t think I’ll replace it when the bottle runs out, as the scent doesn’t blow my mind.

  • BeatrizBlackwood

I let it macerate and wore it today; it improved so much, becoming mysterious and deep. I’ll be using this beauty more often.

  • It’s a super interesting perfume that evolves and develops over time, quite a bit actually. At first, it’s woody, oriental, and mysterious. Then a citrus note pops up occasionally, very pleasant and gives it a distinct touch. Finally, vanilla arrives (after a few hours), an elegant and mature vanilla. I’ll definitely add it to my collection; it’s different and classic all at once.

  • I’ve heard several people say they hated it. In my case, the opposite. I admit it’s not for everyone. It can come off as very mature, slightly powdery, or soapy. But it evolves in a very interesting and addictive way. It smells extremely fine and elegant, very balanced. I’d wear it at night and probably in winter, though I wouldn’t rule out a summer night. The notes feel perfectly paired throughout. The longevity is excellent; it lasted me over 12 hours.

  • This is my first review; I’ll try to be concise. I bought this fragrance blindly, thinking that based on the notes and reviews, I’d like it without a doubt. Unfortunately, I don’t like its opening at all. I perceive a very strong aroma, which I understand might be from the tangerine leaves it declares. It’s really a very strong scent that doesn’t convince me at all. After a while, as it dries down, it improves. In my perception, it’s not a fragrance worth buying blindly.

  • It was a blind buy; for some reason, it reminded me of Poison Midnight, but no, it’s not ugly, yet I feel it’s more for an older lady, very floral, but the kind an older woman would wear.

  • I bought it because an older woman let me smell it. Wherever she went, she left a very rich trail. It smells very floral. I like it, but for me, two sprays are enough; this isn’t for overdoing it.

  • To me, it’s pure elegance wrapped in mystery. It’s not easy for everyone, but that’s what makes it special. It has a sophisticated air that captivates from the first spray. I find it ideal for night, special occasions, or whenever I want to feel powerful and feminine; I use it year-round, season doesn’t matter. The sillage is noticeable and the longevity is impressive: it lasts all day. I wouldn’t recommend Dior Addict to someone looking for something light; this has personality, it demands confidence and style. It’s a treasure I never go without and one of the ones that gets me the most compliments. In short, intense, elegant, and addictive. Not for the timid, but perfect for those who love to stand out with class. I love it.

  • I don’t know what the previous version was like… For me, this is a true paradise… That tangerine opening, the orange blossom, and then suddenly that dense, creamy, intense jasmine that invades everything along with the vanilla. It’s elegant, sensual, and very feminine… And on a guy’s skin (I’ve only heard a man wear it once) it becomes irresistible. It’s a work of art, but I only use it when it’s fresh, well into October; in summer it overwhelms me quickly, but rescuing it later makes me fall in love again.

  • Paola Andrade

Four years after discovering it, it’s still a masterpiece… Addictive as its name suggests, putting it on makes me feel powerful and sensual, like walking on snow in heels, commanding presence. It’s not for everyone, but it is for me; it’s my personal perfume. Not many know about it, and I always get compliments. I’m 30, discovered it at 26, bought it blindly. I don’t assign an age to perfumes; it’s the best accessory for my personality.

  • It’s an interesting fragrance, almost intoxicating. I sense a spicy cardamomo note even though it’s not listed, then the citrus and vanilla come through. It gives off mysterious woman vibes, though it’s totally unisex. It’s good, but not my taste; I’ve had the bottle for years and don’t use it. To me, it’s too mature.

  • Paloma Sevilla

Well… I’d been searching for something long-lasting that I actually liked. Every time I tested it in stores, the white florals gave me fatigue; I thought the testers were stale because it wasn’t trendy. I insisted because it was top-rated for longevity but unpopular. I bought it blindly in 30ml. It just arrived, I sprayed it an hour ago, and I’m obsessed. I’m not an expert, but it smells fantastic: white florals, citrus, vanilla, and incense. This will be my perfume for years… great sillage and it promises great longevity. A total discovery.

  • Susana en esencia

Let me start by saying I only know the current version. It’s a pretty, long-lasting, and interesting fragrance, but I don’t think it’s worth the price. It deserves half the cost. It’s a nice vanilla with good longevity. I like it, but it doesn’t excite me. When I finish it, I won’t repurchase unless the price drops or the quality improves.

  • Yeli parfum

Perfumon… I absolutely love it. Intoxicating white flowers with a deep vanilla base… incredible sillage and longevity… It’s a masterpiece. I keep coming back to it without fail.
