A mix of absolutely all the CODEs. My first impression (bought blind for more adrenaline) was regret, as it only smelled like a sweet roll or those vanilla body sprays from Victoria Secret that my high school classmates would bathe in under the sun in a closed room. And I hated it. But after giving it more chances, it completely changed my perspective. Today, it smells to me like one of the most refined fragrances for dates and parties. The union of vanilla and tonka bean is exquisite, combined with touches of green apple and mandarin, making it spectacular because it doesn’t just stay sweet, but generates a pleasant, fresh, spicy, and gourmand sensation. I must say it’s not unique; it has flashes of Ultramale, Stronger With You, and a touch of the whole Code line. But that doesn’t make it bad, as it takes the best of each fragrance and mixes them very well. It’s a winner; on me, it has generated many compliments from ladies, and it makes sense, as it could easily be unisex. If you don’t have any of the Code line, buy this; they put the best of each one in a blender and out came Absolu, it has everything. Scent: 9/10, Longevity: 9/10, Sillage: 9/10, Occasion: Open and social places. God’s plan 🦉

  • I liked it, but in my city (warm and humid climate) it’s exclusively for use on cool nights and outdoors. It can be used to sleep after applying it 3 or 4 hours later with 2 or 3 sprays.

  • In mid-2019, when it was new in Buenos Aires perfume stores, I decided to go out for coffee and test it head-to-head with Pure XS Night. At first impression, the opening was great because I found it practically identical to its brother, Profumo. As hours passed, both evolved competing, but in opposite directions: while the Paco Rabanne improved its scent after a slightly sharp opening, this Armani seemed worse and worse to me, until it resembled the smell of street fairs with their penetrating incense. At the end of the day, after about 6 hours, the Pure XS Night was still very perceptible while Code Absolu was close to the skin, so I had no doubt about my next purchase. Almost two years later, I ran into this flanker again thanks to a sample, and the experience was radically different. That repellent, incense-like, bad-tasting smell I felt the first time was gone. It seemed so good that I took advantage of a deal and bought it. In my opinion, it’s an evolution of Profumo, landing halfway between this and TF Noir Extreme. Sweet, ambered, warm, elegant, and with quite good performance. Scent: 9, Versatility: 6.5, Longevity: 8.5, Projection: 8.25, Sillage: 8.25.

  • Having a romantic date? Want to seduce your girl? Want war? Use this and let it work… Pure seduction, it screams danger as if there’s no tomorrow.

  • The best in the line. I’m surprised this great perfume didn’t come out to dazzle. I bought it recently because the Profumo didn’t deliver on performance; I had a 2019 batch that was already very faded. I knew the Profumo had the power because I tested an older decant, but unfortunately, brands dilute the concentrate. I acquired this Absolu and they are very similar at first sniff, but it has nuances that set it apart. For me, this Armani is better because of that delicious rum note, making it warmer and a bit more mature. Super good for dates, parties, or gatherings; you’ll leave the impression of a dashing gentleman, as long as your outfit matches. It lasts a long time and has great sillage. I don’t understand why they discontinued it; on me, it has a heavy sillage of about 1.5 meters that lasts for about 2.5 hours quite well, with a total longevity of 10 hours. Undoubtedly, the best of the flankers.

  • Sweet vanilla and sexy! A fantastic option for romantic nights, dates, or dinners. It’s playful, tasty, and commercial. There are many similar perfumes in composition, but without a doubt, it’s a knockout of sensuality to conquer and attract attention. With this, you’ll get that desired comment: ‘Ayyy, you smell so good, what are you wearing?’. Good performance and reasonable price. The bottle isn’t my favorite, something uncomfortable for travel, but here we have a winning perfume.

  • Armani Code Absolu is warm, sweet, and spicy. The opening is decadent, smelling of woods and spices, almost like a cappuccino, and I loved that phase. Over time, it becomes creamy and vanilla-like, like a nut ice cream, which is more common. The final phase takes away a bit of personality because it could be confused with Ferragamo Uomo, Halloween Man X, or SpiceBomb Extreme, but it still smells great since they are all gourmand scents. It’s ideal for autumn, winter, night outs, or dates. It lasted over 8 hours on me with regular projection. Fans of sweet scents will love it, though other options are cheaper alternatives that also smell amazing.

  • I was blown away when I tested it and had to wait for it to settle on my arm to confirm the longevity. Then I bought it on the spot. It’s a Code with tonka and vanilla, like Code Ultimate mixed with Profumo. I like the dry-down more; the opening and heart notes are pleasant but stay true to the Code DNA. I detect carrot seeds, a sweet, vegetal, earthy touch that fades quickly. Ideal for mild or cold weather, great longevity (8h+), and moderate sillage. A huge hit by Armani.

  • Sofisticado

I tried this Armani Code flanker and, honestly, it did absolutely nothing for me. It smells like an overly sweet version of everything already on every shelf: a bit of Ultramale, a dash of Invictus, a drop of The Most Wanted. Nothing new under the sun. I won’t talk about performance since I tested it dry and it wasn’t the end of my visit. What is clear is that if you’re looking for the DNA of the original Code, this isn’t it. To me, it has very little to do with the OG or the Cologne, which remain the kings of that family.

  • The best in the Code line today, even though Armani has trashed it. It’s true that no one matches the original Code with its mysterious, magical, oily acidity that made it famous, but today it’s just a caricature (get it online, about 60 ml for $30-40, just for the pleasure of saying: I have the original). It’s not a risky bet like its sister Cashmere or Profumo, with that note hated by many. The purpose of a good perfume is to smell good and last a long time; originality and extravagance aren’t rewarded. And in that, Code Absolu triumphs. 8/10.

  • Lots of spiced vanilla, suede, and too potent for me. It’s a Beast Mode for making an impression, with 12 hours of longevity in the middle of winter. With 5 sprays, I’m going crazy. On clothes, it lasts a week. I recommend using it only in cold winter nights. Don’t use it in summer. 7/10.

  • I resisted buying it because my wife said it smelled like Spicebomb Extreme, which I already owned, but I wish I had bought it sooner! I love it. It smells and performs amazingly. My bottle (batch 38U60UB, June 2021) has excellent performance: over 10 hours of longevity and good projection for the first 3 hours. It’s more versatile than it seems, as long as it’s cold weather. It works for dinners with friends or business. Although it’s more of a night scent, I’ve used it on cold mornings and it works great; it could be a signature for cold climates. It’s one of the best in my collection and I recommend it to anyone who likes vanilla scents. Hurry up, it’s becoming hard to find!

Magnificent refinement for a golden night! It starts with an intoxicating explosion: sparkling apple floating in a creamy vanilla that lingers forever. Then it softens with spices, leather, and powdery tonka. Finally, talc and light leather close out the show. It’s an original flanker that moves away from the original Code, keeping only the tonka talc. Its weak point is that, with so much vanilla, it resembles others; but it’s so well-constructed that it surpasses them. It evolves vanilla to the next level. It works great below 20°C; more heat and it tires your nose. Although it’s attractive, I struggle to classify it as semi-formal; it seems more for mixing gala, charisma, and shine in the evening. It’s also perfect for romantic dates with a good outfit. It might appeal to the young due to its character. With 5 sprays between 10 and 20°C, it lasts 10-12 hours: strong projection at first, then arm’s length, near the shoulders, and finally on the skin until it disappears at the 10th or 12th hour. The trail lasts three hours. In the cold (0-10°C) it’s the same, just less projection at the start. I haven’t compared other batches. Don’t waste time! It’s discontinued and one of the best for elegant dates and parties. If you’re new to perfumes or prefer citrus, it might overwhelm you, but if you like sweets, you’ll notice its coquettish and elegant character. Irreplaceable for suit nights. Although you can’t test it, risking a blind buy could be an exceptional discovery.

  • IgnaFernandez

The best sweet scent I’ve smelled so far. If One Million is the quintessential sweet scent for the young, Code Absolu is its equivalent for those over 30. Yes, I didn’t notice it lasting as long; it was more average.

  • At first, it smells very similar to One Million Elixir, but once it dries down, it’s a soft, round vanilla thanks to the suede. It’s sweet, with vanilla as the star, but sober and very well-made to avoid looking juvenile or clubby, aiming for sophistication instead. I like it, but I feel they put too much hype on it, maybe because of its discontinuation. I don’t like flat vanilla fragrances; I prefer ones with more twists. In my comparison, I stick with Profumo: they’re similar, but this one goes straight for the vanilla, while the other has amber, leather, and cardamomo in the opening (and performs better on my skin), though both are a bit synthetic. Both are good, it’s just a matter of taste.

  • It smells delicious; I can feel the DNA of Armani Code. I bought it this year, though the batch is from 2021. My girlfriend went crazy (though I know it’s me, the perfume just adds to the fact that people keep complimenting me xD). It lasts about 8 hours, ideal for playful nights, but I wouldn’t rule it out for meetings in cool weather.

  • Jerković Molina

It’s the king of sweet perfumes: wonderful, refined, and with beastly performance, a true ‘beast mode.’ What I smell most is a sophisticated vanilla that makes it elegant, accompanied by the other notes. The ingredients smell natural, nothing synthetic. It’s for special occasions: parties, suits, or dates, to leave a great impression. People say it doesn’t last, but that’s just ‘sweet fatigue’; this one lasts and lasts. It’s no longer sold in stores in Chile and has gone up in price, so buy it if you find it cheap. I have an 110 ml bottle with 80 ml left, so I use it wisely. Far and away the best in the Code line.

  • nneestorr

At first, I thought it was Code with sugar, and buying it blindfolded was disappointing because it reminded me of other trendy vanillas. But once it dried down, what a change! The vanilla-tonka combo is rich and sensual, nothing harsh or overly feminine. It lost points at first, but recovers here. It’s not a beast, but it lasts forever on skin. If the opening were better, it would be amazing, but sometimes you can’t have everything. I recommend it, but don’t pay too much.

  • I love it, but watch out: it gives me headaches! It’s super intense, so I save it for events where I want to be the center of attention. You can smell it all day, and I absolutely love that.

  • ARMANI CODE ABSOLU: I don’t think there’s a woman who can resist it; one of the best fragrances in Armani’s Code collection, and it could even be considered a mass attraction weapon. This Code Absolu is bizarrely sexy, ideal for dates, slightly youthful if so, but usable for adults in their 40s without issue. A fragrance that seems made of pheromones, capable of unsettling the opposite sex, bewitching, inciting, and provoking them. It’s tempting, playful, and malicious, one of those fragrances that look like an irresistible bait. One must acknowledge the effect it has on women. A fragrance that could say… ‘includes a happy ending.’ Cool and cold climate, autumn and winter. Preferably at night. Scent: 9.0. Projection: 2 hours. Longevity: 8 hours on skin, a bit more on clothes. Recommended.

  • An exceptional vanilla, although it keeps the DNA of the original Code, I believe this flanker is the most sophisticated. Along with the vanilla and tonka bean, a soft leather is noticeable, like a suede jacket, giving it a plus for night outs and formal events… for dates it’s incredible because, although sweet, it’s also masculine, so compliments are guaranteed… just be careful not to overapply it.

  • LosPerfumesDeJavi

Is it the best Armani Code so far? I think so… Armani Code ABSOLU offers a warm and elegant PARFUM that projects meters away and lasts for hours and hours. Finally, Armani offers something truly good and nothing generic. It was love at first sniff; it smells so oriental, with that touch of unknown Arab perfumes. This perfume is the ideal Christmas gift because it smells like Christmas. For a kitchen where gingerbread cookies are being baked, it’s very sweet without being overly sugary. The bottle is a homage to the tuxedo. I recommend it for autumn and winter only because it’s quite hot, and that’s when you’ll enjoy it most.

  • SoldevillaESP

Discontinued fragrance in Spain. Ideal for cold days and also usable during the day, youthful and pleasant.

  • Amazing perfume, exquisite and feminine. With this, you’re safe for a night out, romantic date, or a crisp autumn/winter day. One of the best in the Code line. Its only problem is that it’s discontinued, which is why the price is very high. Performance: 8 hours of longevity and 1.5 hours of good projection. The vanilla, leather, and spicy notes make it very addictive. A must-have in a serious collection. Rating: 9.0/10.

  • Luckily I got it in 2024 since it’s discontinued. I love its scent; it’s very conquering, sexy, sweet yet serious, with an alcoholic-like vanilla, probably from nutmeg and suede. Rating 9/10. Honestly, it’s worth having in your collection. If you find it, you’re lucky.

  • SpecThunder

I had seen its accords and it caught my attention; one day I passed by a perfumerie and tried it. Since I atomized it, it left me crazy; I believe no perfume gave me such a good first impression—it’s marvelous. A somewhat citrus opening that evolves quickly into a vanilla and delicious leather base. This perfume is insane, beautiful, the best by Giorgio Armani.

  • JuanCruzE_

Just bought it as a decant; it smells great. It didn’t blow my mind, but it definitely smells very good. It starts with a scent reminiscent of the original Code EDT and quickly reveals a noticeable vanilla and suede. When dry, it leaves pure vanilla. Longevity is high, around 7 to 8 hours, with moderate sillage. I consider it overpriced since it’s discontinued and don’t see it as very versatile; it’s formal and sophisticated, ideal for dates or winter night outs.

  • Johan parfum intense

Smells very similar to Lattafa’s Hayaati Black, and for the price, it’s not worth it.

  • When I first smelled it, it reminded me of when I used to stink like a teenager with One Million to go out, except for the huge differences. But I fell in love and didn’t hesitate to grab it on sale. The opening isn’t my favorite; it’s citrusy and slightly fruity, undoubtedly sweet because from the second minute, the rest of the notes start to shine. From there, the undisputed star is the vanilla. It’s sweet but not cloying; the rest of the notes form a great accord, accompanying and giving, in my opinion, a super-rounded, elegant, and sensual aroma. I think the suede base note gives it that soft, masculine touch that makes this fragrance unique (though my girlfriend loves it too). At first, it didn’t last long, and no one could smell it; I only got occasional bursts now and then… A year later, it’s one of my longest-lasting perfumes. Yesterday I sprayed it at 8 am because it was a rainy day and I felt like it. I could smell it consistently all day. My surprise? Today, before even getting into the shower, it was still clearly perceptible (this motivated me to write this). Projection is good, not crazy, and compliments come freely; you can’t escape them. I also like it for layering, though I don’t usually wear it as the main scent. Should I recommend it? Yes. Just check the price and whether you like sweet/vanilla scents. If that’s the case and you don’t have something similar, it could be a blind buy.

  • Pffft, the best part is that citrus opening with tangerine and apple giving it a fruity touch. The acidity fades in minutes, giving way to vanilla with a leather note. It smells very similar to Profumo but with that extra citrus twist. In short, it’s an incredibly rich perfume, now discontinued at least in Mexico, though you might find it at a good price if you’re lucky.

  • SebastianC2702

Buy blind because it’s impossible to find in physical stores. I saw it online at a decent price and pulled the trigger. The EDT is my favorite, and I was thrilled to see it today. It’s very rich; I have the 30ml Profumo version I keep as a relic, and I like that one more. This one is even a bit unisex for my taste. I don’t know if my sense of smell is off, but after drying down a few hours later, it reminds me of Layton by PDM (which I hate); it’s sweet, and you can tell the fine leather. Rich, but I think it’s slightly overvalued because it’s discontinued and mythologized too much. There are better options today, so don’t go crazy over it. 7/10.

  • A standout option for cold climates. Its composition handles the cold well, projecting efficiently without being overwhelming. If you find it at a good price, it’s excellent value for money. Recommended for those seeking a characterful winter scent without losing versatility or elegance.

  • cocos ediondos

Wow, what a delicacy is the Armani Code Absolu. It’s a sweet fragrance with suede notes that make it totally masculine and seductive. The vanilla is present throughout the entire life of the perfume without losing the suede that accompanies this exquisite vanilla. It’s a winter night fragrance where it performs best; longevity is quite good, lasting about 9-10 hours on my skin without issues. An Armani jewel, unfortunately 100% discontinued. 100% recommended.

  • Alberto Brarda

A good perfume; I bought it for its performance, and its reputation is well-earned: excellent projection and longevity. The problem is that I don’t like things that are too sweet, and this one is, so it’s not one of my favorites. You can tell it’s high quality; it’s a scent for adults. It’s a sweet vanilla with suede. It will delight any female audience that smells it. If you like sweet scents, it’s your thing.

  • It’s a rich perfume, but you have to be careful. It’s a vanilla bomb and a beast in longevity (it lasts until the next day). At first, I liked it, but then it started becoming cloying and giving me headaches. Women love it, and I’ve gotten tons of compliments, but in my opinion, you need to know how to use it, because you can go from smelling exquisite to annoying and making people dizzy. I’d use it only on cool or mild evenings; it’s not extremely formal but not for daily wear either. Perfect for a date or hanging out with friends. The first time, err on the side of caution: no more than two sprays. If you overdo it or the occasion isn’t right, you’ll annoy people or look tacky.

  • Esteban Leonardo

I picked it up back in the day for an offer I couldn’t miss—what a great buy! It opens with a very citrusy mandarin, then the sweet base of the original Code does its job. After a few minutes, vanilla and tonka bean take over, accompanied by a bitter leather. On my skin, the leather is the main note, with that vanilla and tonka bean sweetness, and I sense a slight, subtle sticky note, like it’s been smeared with something, but very subtle. Every nose is different; if you also smell it this way, great that we share it. For others, it just smells like vanilla, which is incredible. Perfumery is like that; nobody is wrong. Cheers!

  • Emerson Aldair

I managed to snag a sealed 2018 bottle for $90. The 60ml version is pricey, but it’s worth it to own a discontinued classic. It smells amazing—seductive but not groundbreaking. What really surprised me is its projection: it’s the beast of my collection. The first time, with just two sprays in a small room, it gave me a headache because of the heat. Many sweet scents work in summer if you know where to apply them, but this one is exclusive for cold weather and outdoors. Only recommend if you can get it cheap. 8/10.

  • fco.alvaradob

My soul’s perfume. I’ve received so many compliments; it smells incredible and lasts all day. I don’t understand why they stopped making it.
