I’ve tried the Armani Code and I think this flanker has very little to do with its parent fragrance. It seems more like a flanker of Armani Eau Pour Homme, or am I wrong? In my opinion, it’s a good (and worthy) substitute for the classic Armani Eau Pour Homme. Very, very good.

  • azuriiita

Smells great. I don’t see what’s so ‘sporty’ about it… unless you’re used to super intense and complex perfumes, in which case, compared to those, this one is definitely for the gym, haha. It could work well in warm climates since it’s not heavy, and also in cooler weather thanks to the energizing vibe from the ginger, citrus, and amber notes that make it appealing to my nose 🙂 Definitely has potential to be used much more than just for the gym 😀 I’m not familiar with the fragrances Shiseido mentioned, but I get the impression it’s Dior’s ~Eau Sauvage competitor for Armani.

  • horaciohvmasek

I agree with Shiseido that this flanker has nothing to do with the original Armani Code. It’s a fresh scent with a soft to moderate trail (depending on how much you spray). The standout note is lemon, giving it a zesty but not overpowering touch. I didn’t detect the tangerine, just a hint of mint and aquatic notes in the base. The scent doesn’t evolve much over time; it just smells like lemon all the way through. Overall, it’s pleasant but lacks seductive notes—better for post-gym use or personal enjoyment, nothing like the magnificent original Armani Code.

This fragrance was a bit of a letdown in my juice collection. It smells nice but just didn’t grab my attention. The mint note was way too dominant for my taste, so it didn’t quite convince me. Anyway, won’t be buying it again. Cheers.

  • I agree with Roger, but it does its job. It’s fresh and not intrusive. It doesn’t mark a before or after, but when you don’t know what to wear in summer, it’s the first choice. It was my first perfume and I never really fell in love with it, but I also can’t take away its merits.

  • zaccaria_azzurro

I don’t think it’s a sport scent; it’s heavier than the original Code. I prefer the other Codes (the original and Ultimate); this is the one I liked the least.

Armani Code Sport smells synthetic, like most of their products. There are many better sport fragrances out there; it only saves itself from being that synthetic mentholated perfume that Code Ice was (the worst in the line) thanks to the ginger and amber. On the plus side, it has minimally decent longevity, almost the same as Code Ice. Scent: 4/10. Versatility: 6/10. Sillage: 5/10. Longevity: 6/10.

  • I like the fragrance. It’s a good ‘Sport’ that highlights ginger and lemon, reminding me of Burberry Sport. The mint, tangerine, and aquatic notes are a bit quieter but still present. The amber is very well placed. It lasts 6-8 hours, and if you spray it on clothes, it will last even longer. The trail is moderate throughout. It’s ideal for casual days; it smells clean even when you’re sweating. If you’re looking for an innovative Sport, this isn’t it—it doesn’t offer anything new—but it’s very good and does its job.

  • Smells great, people have made jokes about the scent. Lasts about 4-5 hours. The trail is moderate; people can smell it from less than a meter away for hours.

  • I used it right when it came out, back in 2011, and it was one of my essentials. At the time, my nose preferred woody, spiced, or aquatic citrus over oriental scents. However, I was gifted a 100ml tester for Christmas, and here we are again, united by that so uplifting and refreshing vibe in this season of temperatures over 30 degrees. It’s good: you can detect the tangerine and intense mint in the opening, the vibrant ginger sweetened by amber and aquatic notes. Then… youthful, casual, versatile, persistent, honest, simple, and detoxifying against heavy scents. UPDATE: We are in 2018 and my heart and nose have again leaned towards spiced woody citrus. Unfortunately, Code Sport and Ice no longer exist; they’ve been discontinued.

  • I tried it right when it launched, back in 2011, and it was one of my must-haves. At that time, my nose preferred citrus, woody, spicy, or aquatic scents over oriental or complex ones, like I do now. But I was gifted a 100 ml tester for Christmas, and here we are again, united by that uplifting and refreshing vibe in the middle of a summer over 30 degrees. It smells amazing. At first, it smells like tangerine and lots of mint, then the vibrant ginger sweetened by amber and aquatic notes. It’s youthful, casual, versatile, persistent, honest, simple, and detoxifying against heavy scents. UPDATE: It’s 2018 now, and my heart and nose have returned to citrus, spicy, and woody scents. Unfortunately, Code Sport and Ice no longer exist; they’ve been discontinued.

  • Armani Code Sport is one of the best ‘SPORT’ proposals, a label I personally hate for its cluttered classicism. But what matters is the fragrance. This Code Sport left me with a pleasant encounter with one of my favorite notes: mint. Armani assembled something valuable by mixing three types of mint (unlisted) that at times smells like peppermint. The result is great. As Jimblue says, it’s detoxifying; I’d add that its vibe is honest, attractive, and quite sexy. It has great longevity and effective trail if body heat rises; it’s a magnet. One of the best from Armani, almost indispensable if you collect.

  • Armani Code Sport is an absolute gem despite its ‘SPORT’ name, which I personally dislike for that cluttered classic vibe. What truly matters is the scent: I loved rediscovering mint, one of my favorite notes. Armani has blended three distinct types (though they aren’t specified) to create moments that smell like pure peppermint. The result is fantastic. As Jimblue says, it’s detoxifying; I’d add that its vibe is super honest, attractive, and quite sexy. It has great longevity and a very effective trail: if body heat rises, it becomes a magnet for attention. One of Armani’s best, almost indispensable if you collect fragrances. A solid 9.6.

  • Totally agree with the previous reviews. Armani Code Sport is pure action perfume; it competes in the semi-formal league but moves much better than others in the sports category. The opening is super energizing, with that crisp cocktail of mints and citrus. The ginger gives it a clean scent, and together with the aquatic notes, it creates the feeling of a cold, refreshing shower. Then it becomes a bit herbaceous and woody due to the vetiver, with an anise touch that reminds me of the original, closing with its classic sweetness of vanilla and tonka (which here is amber). Smells great. It’s very versatile: one of the few sports perfumes that works perfectly for skiing in winter, biking in spring, or going out for drinks at night in summer. In winter it becomes drier and more invigorating, while in summer it’s sweeter and more romantic; in both cases it has charm and is one of the most loved. Plus, it lasts well: on my skin it lasts at least four or five hours and gets boosted a lot by sweat or water. If you apply a little more (but much less than other sports), you easily reach seven or eight hours of projection at first and good sillage. It delivers and earns its rating. I love it so much! xD 9/10

  • Totally agree with the previous reviews. Armani Code Sport is an action fragrance. It plays in the semi-formal league, but for me, it performs better in a sporty context. The opening is energizing, with that crisp cocktail of mints and citrus. The ginger adds cleanliness, and together with the aquatic notes, it builds the sensation of a cold shower. Then you perceive a touch of herbaceousness and woodiness from the vetiver, something that reminds me of the anise in the original Code, finishing with its sweet touch of vanilla and tonka (perhaps the amber). Smells super good. It’s very versatile: one of the few ‘sports’ perfumes perfect for skiing in winter or biking in spring, but also for going out at night in summer. In winter it becomes dry and invigorating; in summer, sweeter and more romantic. In both cases, it has charm. It performs well: on my skin it lasts 4-5 hours and reactivates with sweat or water. Even with a little over-spraying (much less than other ‘sports’), it reaches 7-8 hours projecting at first and leaving a trail. It delivers. I love it!

I waited a long time to care for a decant of this beautiful fragrance before finally acquiring this piece, which isn’t easy to find. The scent is super fresh, reminding me a bit of Guerlain Homme: well-executed mint, lemon-lime, and something that smells like peppermint (even though it’s not in the official notes). It’s super versatile: great for the office, casual outings, sports, or the beach. The only thing I wouldn’t wear it to are formal events like weddings or graduations. On my skin, it projects moderately and consistently for 4 to 5 hours, and close to the skin, it lasts even longer than 8. I don’t detect any amber or anything that would make it creamy; on the contrary, it’s light, easy to digest, and friendly. It’s almost impossible for anyone to find it heavy or intrusive. Without a doubt, it’s one of the best sport options on the market, although I believe they’ve already discontinued it. I’ve seen elsewhere that the 2016 Armani Code Sport version has different notes. It stays in my collection for its aroma and versatility. Excellent fragrance! Cheers!

After taking care of a decant of this fragrance, I finally got the original bottle, which is hard to find. It’s a very refreshing scent that reminds me of the opening of Guerlain Homme: very well-executed mint with lots of lime-lemon and something that makes me think of peppermint, even though it’s not listed. I find it very versatile: office, casual outings, sports, and beach. The only thing I wouldn’t wear it for is formal events like weddings. It sits well on my skin with moderate and consistent projection lasting 4 to 5 hours. Up close, it lasts even longer, up to 8 hours. I don’t detect any amber or creamy notes; it’s light, digestible, and friendly. Hard for anyone to perceive it as heavy. One of the best sport options on the market, although I believe it’s already discontinued. I saw there’s a 2016 version with different notes. It stays in my collection for its aroma and versatility. Excellent fragrance.

  • Aromatic Nightmare

Exquisite; the combination of mint and lime along with other notes makes it very refreshing and natural. It gives off a vibe like Coca Cola mixed with Sprite.

  • centauroaromatico

I was gifted this for Christmas; the citrus opening is very strong, I recommend wearing it in the summer.

  • sejano77

Smells very much like lime and lemon. I agree with those who say it reminds them of SevenUp. Ideal for hot days when you’re going out to eat or for a walk. Good projection.

  • One of the most potent citrus scents I’ve ever tried, and it’s fantastic. Code Sport delivers that freshness and elegance typical of Armani; it doesn’t smell like body spray, but rather a high-end citrus perfume. The opening is the best phase, with mint and lemon taking center stage for a long time. Then, the heart and dry down reveal perfectly balanced ginger and aquatic notes, even with the mint still present. It’s an extraordinarily fresh, timeless fragrance (suitable for young and old in any season, though it shines brightest in summer), elegant, and not just for post-workout use; the ‘sport’ is purely about the freshness. Definitely worth buying. The sillage is surprisingly good, which is rare for Armani where longevity is usually weak, but this is an exception. Recommended.

  • I already tried to look for it at the perfumerie the other day to restock it, but couldn’t find it. On eBay, the 125ml versions are already over 200 euros: I suppose that’s the definitive proof of discontinuation. But several online perfumeries still have stock at the normal price. For me, it’s tragic; I think it’s the best in the line. A modern mentholated, fresh, and raspy scent that shines on the skin over a base of the original Code, with excellent performance. What a pity. And I won’t say anything more to avoid being dramatic or a hater.

  • I have a strange effect with this perfume; for some reason, I tend to forget about it because I lean towards green or marine scents, but the truth is that when I remember it, I can’t stop smelling it; I just love it.

  • Juan Antonio Borbúa P.

Hello fellow fragrance enthusiasts. Just an observation: FragranceNet in English states that Armani Code Sport was only released in 30ml, 50ml, and 75ml. It strikes me that they’re offering it in 125ml on eBay. Either FragranceNet is wrong, or the 125ml version is counterfeit. If anyone can clarify, greetings.

  • I love it; one of my favorites. It’s discontinued in Argentina and can’t be found anymore.

  • It has always been my favorite perfume: fresh, sophisticated, and versatile. An excellent scent for any situation; I wore it at university and got compliments left and right; I met my girlfriend wearing it, and she’s obsessed with it, going crazy every time she smells it. If I could find more in stock, she’d buy them all, haha. Unfortunately, it’s been discontinued, but I saved a quarter bottle from my last purchase and now use it only for special occasions.

  • I absolutely love it; it smells exactly like squeezing lemon on food with the juice dripping onto my hand; the most realistic lemon scent imaginable. Mandarin and aquatic notes linger in the base. It lasts over 6 hours on my skin. Very good.

  • It’s a remarkably interesting perfume because it’s a complex citrus; besides fresh and interesting citrus notes, it has a minty quality that breaks the linear citrus profile, giving it body and turning it into a full olfactory experience. It has a mature and sober base due to vetiver and a slight sweetness from amber. It’s fresh, seductive, and aromatic. Ideal for casual outings, daytime wear, or the gym, but the quality also allows use in semi-formal settings or offices. If you like fresh citrus perfumes or are looking for something non-linear, this is an interesting recommendation. The mandarin/lemon combo gives it a unique quality.

  • I was looking for a versatile scent to replace my beloved Dutti Sport (I love it, but its performance is terrible) and stumbled upon this Armani at a good online price. The opening is sharp, citrusy, and mentholated. Then comes the lemon, very tasty and slightly spicy. In the dry-down, all the base notes are present but not highlighted. I liked it and will save it for when temperatures rise. If you like citrus, don’t hesitate to try it.

  • Armani Code Sport: I’ll admit I’m not a fan of the line, but this Code Sport is the best Armani has ever made. It’s a green, herbal, and citrus fragrance with hints of the original’s DNA, featuring mint as the standout note that cools the scent and gives it a fantastic character. It balances marine notes, evoking a summer day with sunny skies and a blue sea background, no heat—like being on a yacht with a white shirt half-unbuttoned to let the breeze in. It carries a luminous freshness from an incredibly natural lemon and an uplifting dry-down that wakes you up and puts you in a good mood. It’s perfect for turning Mondays into Fridays. A totally and purely daytime aroma, one of the best in its class. Unfortunately, it’s pricey and I don’t know if it’s discontinued. Performance is average but noticeable without being overwhelming. Definitely a must. Scent: 9.0. Projection: almost 3 hours. Longevity: 6 hours. Recommended.

  • It reminds me of that citrus scent that pleasantly soaked your nose; it was subtle yet commanding. Unfortunately, I can’t find it in my country anymore, nor have I seen it since. I’m eagerly awaiting the return of this sleeping titan, though I might be dreaming too much.
