I absolutely loved the Armani Code Profumo, a king of winter. It’s sweet and spicy: a timid cardamomo and mandarin opening, then amber takes the lead. Middle and dry down phases feature tonka bean that reinforces the sweetness. Magnificent result: seductive, nocturnal, almost sexual. Balanced, neither youthful nor mature. For one-on-one encounters on a cold night, there are fewer safer bets. Women love it a lot, but I do too; almost unisex with a masculine edge. Outstanding performance, 8-10 hours, medium projection for the first three hours. Winter season, it shines at night. Suitable for informal or semi-formal wear. Excellent quality/price ratio, great compliment getter. JGS.
Masculine, serious, and elegant, it smells expensive. It has the presence of Gentleman and is seductive. Amber leads all the stages and takes away versatility from this flanker. In my opinion, read the review for Code Absolu. Fixation: 8/10, Projection: 8/10, Masculinity: 7.5/10, Sensuality: 6/10. Total rating: 7.5/10.
I tried Code Profumo and Code Absolu; I liked both. In Profumo, the cardamomo gives it a mysterious touch and I loved the scent, but it didn’t last a whisper 🙁 I’ll go with the Absolu, which I also liked, but it feels more serious and very rich, plus it lasts for now… What a pity for Profumo’s performance on my skin.
Armani Code already wasn’t my thing, but this is worse: it smells like industrial disinfectant, synthetic, and bitter; it makes you scrunch your nose. Acqua di Gio from the same house beats it a thousand times in aroma and quality. I read that Luca Turin didn’t like the Chanel Allure Sport, and to me, it seems like a pleasure compared to this mess; I imagine the criticism would be brutal in that case. I thought it was a bad tester, but after trying it several times, it’s the same: I dislike it. The worst part is that it lasts quite a while on me. One of the worst perfumes I’ve heard? Au revoir.
It was a gift and I keep it for myself, but it’s one of the few that doesn’t leave me. The opening is intense, fruity but bitter, like fermented plums or cherries, not sweet. The cardamomo doesn’t compensate for that unpleasant acidity. The DNA of the original is there, that crayon wax or melted candle smell, but it’s overloaded and smells dirty, dark, and smoky, with a very unpleasant animalic musk. The middle notes smell like sweat; the mix of amber, leather, and tonka gives old, oxidized, wet incense, like an old book. I can’t justify wearing it anywhere; the trail is repulsive, not intoxicating, it stays as wax and smoke. It’s not versatile, not for me, not for a partner, not for special occasions, what a pity. The bottle is elegant, like an expensive whiskey, blurred black to coffee, mysterious and refined. Armani Code Profumo won’t have much history to write.
Playful aroma with formality. It comes out strong and can sting or make you sneeze at first, but then there’s caramel magic. Instantly it smells like almond syrup, but the lavender balances the amber, and together they lead to new car leather. When it dries, there’s a powdery tonka base, without anise or tobacco, very pleasant. Originality: reminds me of the original Code and sometimes of cinnamon gum (like 1 Million), but it has better construction and is less synthetic. Climate: ideal below 25°C; in the heat, the sweetness gets tiring. Versatility: it’s not a blue scent, suitable for formal or special occasions, conveying an elegant and youthful aura. Performance: at 15-25°C with 5 sprays, it lasts 10-12 hours, projecting to the arms at first and then to the shoulders, leaving a trail for two hours. If it’s cold, go up to 6 sprays for more power, but no more or you’ll overwhelm. Reformulations: I haven’t tested other batches. Do I recommend it? Totally, it’s the special touch for your event. If you use fresh perfumes, the sharp opening might scare you, but try it. Alternatives: Montblanc Legend Night (cheaper), Armani Code Absolu (creamier), or Stronger With You (less piercing).
I bought the Armani Code Profumo and honestly, it feels weak; it evaporates in hours. Maybe I tested it at 25 degrees, but I don’t think that’s an excuse for zero longevity. Cheers.
Although I’m not a fan of sweet perfumes, this one is well-balanced. It has quality and personality; the lavender and leather give it a masculine touch that prevents the vanilla from becoming cloying. It doesn’t smell synthetic like the Stronger With You line, which gives me a headache. It’s my favorite in the Code collection. If you’re looking for something special you’ve never smelled before, this isn’t for you, but if you want a good, high-quality gourmand, this is it. I don’t recommend buying it blind because it’s not cheap; I got it on sale and I’m satisfied. To this day, it’s the one that has given me the most compliments from women, a true confidence booster. If you want to play it safe on a date, wear it and see. Compared to the Absolute and the EDP, this is the mother of them all.
Armani Code Profumo is an incredibly rich fragrance, and the best part is that women absolutely love it, period.
I tried the sample and at first it smells like fluor, like a dentist’s office… then it turns sweet and rich, but it’s not my style. Does anyone else experience that at the beginning?
Okay, first review for Code Profumo. It’s that typical sweet fragrance with noticeable trail and projection, reliable, sexy, and nocturnal (or autumn/winter afternoons). The first time I smelled it, it was like a red fruit candy: cherries, raspberries, vanilla, leather, and amber. Years later, it’s still one of my go-to choices for special occasions (semi or formal) on cold afternoons or nights. I don’t wear it in summer. Longevity on my skin passes 8 hours; the first 4 hours project very well, gradually reducing without fading to skin scent. A good option if you like sweet aromas, but don’t buy blindly. If you’re a woman and want to gift it to your partner, they’ll LOVE IT.
A fragrance that doesn’t convince me. It’s very similar to CH Sexy Men, nothing more to say. Blindly, I don’t recommend it.
Proven longevity. If you’re looking for a fragrance for fresh, cold, cloudy, or rainy days that lasts your whole day (office, party, meeting), Armani Code Profumo is a good option. Its scent is sweet, dark, and comforting. You won’t have issues with longevity or projection; although the trail can be invasive at first, over time it settles into a moderate and pleasant bubble that invites people to get closer. It’s not a compliment-getter, but the tempting effect of making people want to smell you is undeniable. As Tom Ford said: ‘If you have a fragrance you love, why not be generous with it? Why smell good a little when you can smell good?’
I find it very similar to One Million EDT in everything: scent, projection, and trail, although the last two are a bit weaker.
I’ve been using it this Autumn-Winter season in my country. It’s delicious to my taste, it catches attention, and it lasts quite a while. I use it daily to go to work in the winter and have received compliments for that particular scent. I recommend it, but as always, better to smell it before buying.
Am I the only one, or does this smell identical to Le Male but sweeter? At least I can wear this one; Le Male smells like insecticide, while this Profumo has better quality. It has the same sillage as Le Male, just sweeter, but I’m not sure if my nose is playing tricks on me. Can anyone tell me if I’m crazy?
I think Armani has pulled the Profumo from sale. I can’t find it in physical stores or online; it’s out of stock everywhere. I suppose it didn’t have much success and they replaced it with Armani Code Parfum.
Leaving my first review: I’m a ‘street’ user, not really knowledgeable about perfumery beyond what attracts me. A newbie, I only spray in stores based on impulse. I tried Armani Code Profumo a few months ago; it didn’t grab my attention, but a sales associate recommended it for an event. I liked it, but I ended up taking the SpiceBomb Extreme (no regrets). However, I still wanted this one, so I bought it now (it cost me a fortune; it’s hard to find). I’m a fan of oriental ambers and gourmands; they have that sensual charm that invites people to get closer. It reminds me a lot of Carolina Herrera’s 212 Sexy Men, which I enjoyed and which brought me many compliments from women. This Armani one is better, rounder. Sweet, warm, enveloping, sensual; it smells like a cherry or blueberry tart with a rich vanilla touch. I wore it at noon today, 5 sprays, and at 10 PM, after showering, I can still feel it clinging to my skin. Ideal for special occasions or dates in the cold, or cool summer evenings in semi-formal settings, not for clubs. It’s a great fragrance, too bad it’s hard to get. To explain it my way: it’s a knockout for young guys, it smells insane, wear it on a date and you’ll win big; people will be all over you.
Love at first sniff. I spotted it in a retail store and it was the one that caught my attention the most. My first impression was like a heatstroke: a warm scent that transports you to a cool paradise in cold environments or special occasions. My bottle is from 2022, and with 5 sprays, it lasts about 6 hours. I don’t know about previous batches, but here in Chile it’s still not discontinued, and luckily I got a discount on the 30ml one. I love it.
Armani Code Profumo: A phenomenal masterpiece for pleasing girls. It looks like a striking creation. Although it’s warm and sweet, it’s not exclusive to cold weather; it’s ideal for going out, meeting people, pleasing, and standing out. It gives a chic, velvet, and truly exceptional feeling. Yes, it attracts the opposite sex and is for personal enjoyment. I don’t see it as similar to One Million, maybe they compare it due to the line, but they are aromatically distinct. It’s the sexy version of the Armani Codes. The citrus notes of mandarin in the opening, integrating later with amber, leather, tonka, and vanilla, make a provocative combination that, without being scandalous, is perceived persistently. I loved it. Although it doesn’t break the mold or invent anything, it stands out. If you find it between $70 and $90, it’s a good buy. Performance is satisfactory and noticeable. I use it at night. Scent: 9.0. Projection: 2 hours. Longevity: max 7 hours. Recommended.
It smells rich and addictive, though it’s very sweet and easy to like. I’d recommend it only for night or cold weather; in the heat, it becomes overwhelming. The longevity and projection are top-notch. I’ve gotten compliments, but only from older folks. Overall, I recommend it: 8/10.
A work of art. Along with the Absolu, they are the best in the line. I got lucky with a 2019 batch and even luckier today with a 2017 batch. It’s warm, sweet, and has an exquisite, addictive dry-down that makes me smell my wrist over and over; it’s literally bottled seduction. I see it as perfect for dates, mild climates, or at night.
Delicious fragrance; although I was looking for something a bit ‘more serious,’ I loved it. I see it as the bridge between the original Code and the Absolu (the latter being very unisex to my taste). The Code Profumo is a seduction beast: opens with a synthetic apple reminiscent of Y EdP, accompanied by cardamom that gives it a ‘dapper’ touch, without losing the acidity of the mandarin. It dries down quickly, the apple fades, and gives way to the mandarin, softly spiced flowers, and tonka bean that provide a welcome warmth. Sadly, I don’t feel the leather I was looking for for something more formal, but it didn’t disappoint. I use it for romantic dates because it incites closeness; it makes any encounter romantic and prowling. Scent: 9.5 (very good, not perfect). Longevity: 9.7/10 (up to 12 hours, the longest in the line). Projection: 9.8/10 (good for the first 3 hours, then fades). Recommended.
It’s one of those perfumes my husband bought blind… and we hate it 😅😅
There are fragrances made for specific moments and people, and this Profumo answers to both. If you’ve used it as a favorite for years, I wouldn’t recommend it for daily wear or in enclosed spaces, as it can get heavy, especially in summer. Don’t be fooled by its fresh and citrusy opening; it quickly turns amber with a subtle lavender. Finally, it dries down with great projection and spectacular longevity, leaving an incredible leather trail for lovers of that scent. Ideal for going out after a group, preferably outdoors. It’s a compliment magnet, manly and strong, but don’t abuse the sprays or it will weigh down those around you. In short, the Armani Code Profumo is a beast that, when tamed, is unique. For confident men with presence, it’s the perfect complement.
Seeing so many people insist that everything is unisex makes it clear that sometimes they just want to prescribe sweetness to anything. It seems for something to be masculine, it must have tobacco, leather, and lavender, and yet someone will still say it smells unisex because of the sweetness in the tobacco.
Men’s fragrance? Who says that? It’s an exquisite perfume whose only ‘masculine’ note is the leather, which here adds roundness and sensuality. The cardamom and nutmeg give it a spicy touch ideal for a cocktail night 🍸. The fruits and flowers add a warm but elegant sweetness. If you want to break the mold for winter and night, it’s perfect. It’s comforting and sophisticated.
Just got my hands on this in 2024. Here in Colombia, it’s almost impossible to find since it’s discontinued, but I caught it at a fair price; places with few units are trying to sell it at retirement-home prices. It smells seductive, nocturnal, and sweet, with a perfect balance. It oozes class and masculinity: starts citrusy and then settles into a sexy, sweet amber with tonka bean. I loved it. Score: 9/10. Ideal for conquering, cool nights, or romantic dates.
To me, it’s elegant and perfect for a date. It has that daring touch that gives it more edge than the original Code I’ve tried. I loved it; it’s sweet without being cloying, though the longevity can definitely cause olfactory fatigue.
Snagged this in a 2021 batch. Smells great; while purists might find it a bit simple, it’s an absolute bomb for the average girl who just says ‘yes.’ Lasts 6-7 hours, strong for the first 2.5 before settling. Very sensual and sticky, perfect with black clothes and an arrogant yet romantic attitude. 9/10.🔥🪵
An extremely sweet fragrance, masculine but understandable as unisex. Definitely for cold weather, day or night; the scent invites you to get closer, but moderate your sprays so you don’t become a cloying nuisance. It’s similar to Natura’s Homem Potence; to an inexperienced nose, they’d be the same, but side by side, you can tell the Profumo has a more vanilla-like sweetness, while the Natura is fruitier.
Natura’s Sagaz or Potence is very similar to this beautiful discontinued Armani fragrance; it’s just a matter of trying it, gentlemen.
La Mata Althair, and well, no need to talk about Liquid Brune!
For those currently looking for it: it’s already discontinued! At least this presentation, because the scent is identical to the new Armani Code EDP 2024. If you’re hunting for this scent, your best bet is the new Armani Code EDP.
A spicy, elegant fragrance with great depth, perfect for cold or temperate climates and special occasions. Longevity is solid: 8-10 hours. Projection is strong for the first 3 hours (about 1.5-2.5 meters), then it becomes more intimate (around 1 meter) without losing its trail or sillage. Very good and worth it if you can find it, since it’s discontinued.
For the nostalgic: Swiss Arabian’s Cardamom and Apple is very rich; side by side, they seem about 85% identical. Great longevity and very manly, nothing like Lattafa.
Do you compare it to the Natura Potence you have on your nose?
Elegant, sensual, and masculine, with compliments guaranteed. The main thing: it’s discontinued. If you’re looking for something in its line, try Dior Homme Parfum 2025. If you want something that reminds you of it, go for Armani Code Eau de Parfum, though that one is sweeter, less dense, and more versatile.
Delicious, sweet, and addictive night fragrance for men that always gets compliments, with great longevity and projection; women absolutely love it. If you can get your hands on it and are looking for something for cold weather or cool nights that women will adore, buy it without hesitation.
Armani Code Profumo holds a unique spot in my collection. I received it as a gift in 2019, and it still smells exactly the same today, as if time has stopped, even though I have changed. It’s a luxury I don’t want to use without reason, because I know once it’s gone, it’ll leave a hard-to-fill void. I value every single spray more than many full bottles. Olfactorily, it’s dark, warm, and spicy, with an elegant sweet base that settles beautifully over time. It feels clearly masculine, attractive, and charismatic, without losing that perfect balance of a great fragrance. It’s not for daily wear or for going unnoticed; it has presence, leaves a mark, and lasts all day from a sophisticated, mature angle. The trail is noticeable and the longevity is excellent—ideal for cold nights, autumn, winter, dates, and special moments. It’s one of the fragrances that gets me the most compliments, a scent you simply live in… and when it’s gone, you remember it. Honestly, I don’t understand how a fragrance like this has been discontinued. Rating: 9.5/10
