If it were possible, I’d love a fresh, light, delicate pink rose—squarely feminine and innocent, with a hint of acidity. If we could separate the flower from the musk, it would be gorgeous, but that’s not what happens here. This rose struggles to emerge from a mountain of dense, heavy musk, trying to survive the dust without achieving elegance. It’s a rough, coarse musk that drowns the flower. I haven’t seen anything like this in two years. If you like acidic roses buried in musk or pink musk like cotton candy, you’ve found your fragrance. What about the jasmine? I can’t detect it, same as Wally. The good news is it lasts forever and has great sillage, but it’s a shame that because it’s so persistent, you never get to enjoy the actual scent. Condemned by Murphy’s Law. Please, use common sense and test niche perfumes before buying; the disappointment can be brutal. This is my opinion, but I really wished I’d like it. At least it was just a sample.
If it were a rose, it would be a pink, fresh, light, and delicate one. Utterly feminine, innocent, youthful, with a slight acidic touch. If we separated the rose from the musk, it would be beautiful. But we can’t. Here, the rose struggles to emerge from a mountain of musk, fighting to reach pure air and survive so much dust. A rose trying to stand out above a thick, coarse, and rough musk that prevents it from being elegant. I haven’t encountered a denser musk in two years of fragrance. If you like acidic roses buried in musk or a pink musk like cotton candy, you’ve found your fragrance. What about the jasmine? Like Wally, I’m still looking for it but can’t find it. Positive side: gloriously long-lasting aroma with magnificent sillage. What a pity that with persistent perfumes, which I like, I can’t enjoy the scent. Condemned by Murphy’s Law. Please use common sense and test before buying. Blind buying niche is forbidden. The disappointment can be brutal. That’s my opinion; I wanted so much to try it and like it. Luckily, it was just a sample.
The best perfume in the world, full of sensuality. I don’t know how anyone could dislike that scent; luckily for me, because it’s my own scent. Exquisite perfume, thank you Montale.
Like all Montales, it has good performance, sillage, and quality. I agree with another review: this rose, if you close your eyes, is pink, not red; not sensual, but rather romantic, innocent, and pure. On my skin, the musk and jasmine blend together so indistinguishably that it’s a soliflore: a fresh rose that sometimes releases a green note, like dew on the stems. I like it more than ‘A la Rose’ by Maison Francis Kurkdjian because this one is less delicate and aquatic, but has more presence. If you’re a rose lover, you’ll adore it, although at this price, I think it lacks originality.
Clean, light roses with a touch of sweetness. Lasts a long time, great sillage, great perfume. I prefer it to Mancera’s Roses Vanille because this one is more versatile and less sweet. It’s very similar to RV but without the sugar or vanilla that make it heavy. I see it as suitable for any season, but it works better for me in cool or cold climates.
I have a generous decant of this, and frankly, it didn’t hit me. It smells good, but it’s nothing surprising: a strong rose with a musk that gives it a slight sweetness. It’s very linear; it still smells the same hours later. Good sillage and longevity.
I have a generous decant and I must say it hasn’t caught my attention at all. It doesn’t smell bad, but it didn’t surprise me. It smells like a strong rose mixed with musk that gives a slight sweetness. It seems very linear; it still smells the same hours later. It has good sillage and longevity.
It doesn’t smell bad, but I’ve found it very synthetic with poor longevity. It’s a total fail and way too expensive for what it is.
It reminds me of Creed’s Spring Flower with those ‘dry’ flowers and is almost identical to Roses Vanille, just without the liquor note. It doesn’t smell bad, but it doesn’t ignite passions either…
Haha, rose jam. That should be my name, because that’s all I smell—I love it! But it lacks evolution; on my skin, I just smell sugary roses from start to finish. I feel it’s very feminine and delicious, but unfortunately, it seems like this house’s lighter scents, like its sibling Mancera, don’t last on my skin. Moderate sillage; after an hour and a half, it’s right up against the skin, with no more than 4 hours of longevity. I’ll stick with its brother, Intense Roses Musk, which smells the same but has high projection and lasts over 10 hours. Edit: I like it for daytime; it’s less invasive and more versatile than IRM.
I gifted this fragrance to my girlfriend, and I must say I love the scent; it reminds me of a very red wet rose, as if it were rubbed with intensity. A scent that fascinates me in my girlfriend.

It has a very nice rose scent, but the downside is its longevity on my skin; saying it disappears after two hours is an understatement. A real shame.
Chileans will understand: it smells like chicha. The good part is good longevity—I made the mistake of spraying it on a stuffed animal, and now my room smells like fermented wine. It’s nice on skin after a few minutes, but watch the amount; less is more. I wouldn’t buy it again.
I love it; the roses are very noticeable with a sweet touch. Longevity and sillage are excellent. I LOVE IT!
Lots of roses, and I like it… I recommend it for fragrance lovers who enjoy floral scents. Very long-lasting.
I love it. I think the best dupe is Zara’s Rose Gourmand. They’re almost identical.
It’s a rose that shines for hours, but not a youthful one—it’s a mature rose with stems and herbs. Reminds me of Mancera’s Pearl. The longevity is beast-like, around 12 hours on skin with great projection. Honestly, I don’t love it; it’s flat, doesn’t evolve, and stays the same until it starts bothering me a bit. I’ll keep searching for the right season; I think in heat, it will saturate due to that herbal and musky note that doesn’t blend well with my skin. Anyway, if you’re looking for a powerhouse pink scent with projection and enjoy herbal and musky touches, you won’t regret it. If you prefer subtle fragrances, you’ll have a hard time.
I was very curious about this perfume. So curious that I almost bought it blind, and in my case, I would have been right. It smells like rose soap from a vanity. It reminds me of my grandmother; it’s a beautiful rose. And no, it doesn’t resemble Montale’s Intense Café. Not all rose perfumes smell the same. Not like Delina, nor Delina Exclusif by Parfums de Marly, nor Roses Vanille, nor any of Zara. Not even like Atrappe Rêves by Louis Vuitton. If I had to compare, it would be closer to the discontinued Rose Essentielle by Bulgari. It’s a feminine rose without being cheesy, long-lasting, and more exuberant than Rose Essentielle, yet equally mature and feminine. For those who appreciate a good rose perfume. Timeless. It’s not sweet.
I was so curious about this perfume that I almost bought it blindly, and in my case, I got it right. It smells like rose powder soap, reminds me of my grandmother, it’s a beautiful rose. Roses aren’t in my comfort zone, and this Montale one feels very harsh and sharp. Plus, it doesn’t evolve; it stays the same from application until you shower it off. It just smells like old roses, not a fine rose like those in Valentino; they feel artificial and annoying, like Mikado room fresheners. From the brand, it lasts hours and hours, but I can’t stand it.
The review for Clear Eyes is so accurate (definitely soapy, in a good way) that I almost didn’t write anything else. I’ll just say this fragrance exudes class and femininity, not necessarily sensuality. I see it as the ideal gift for a woman you appreciate.
Roses aren’t in my comfort zone, and this Montale one feels very harsh and piercing. Plus, the scent doesn’t evolve; it stays exactly the same from the moment you apply it until you shower it off. It just smells like old roses, not fine flowers like those in Valentino; they’re artificial and annoying, the kind used in Mikado air fresheners. Out of all the brands I own or have tried, this lasts hours on the skin, but I can’t stand it.
Too sharp and flat; I can’t really smell the jasmine. It lasts a long time on the skin, but the first hours can be overwhelming; once it dries down, the roses soften and it improves.
It smells too much like detergent or cleaning products to me. The rose is the typical Montale kind—silky and opulent—but it fails to balance the sharp, metallic musk. Performance is excellent; it lasts 12 hours on the skin.
To me, it smells too astringent, like detergent or cleaning product. The rose is the typical Montale kind—silky and opulent—but it fails to balance the sharp, metallic musk. The performance is excellent; it lasts 12 hours on the skin.
It’s not a bad perfume, but I think Roses Musk is the brand’s example of a sin with its synthetic dyes, especially the musks, which polarize opinions. They are fresh, slightly sweet roses, but above all very musky with a grating, uncomfortable texture that fades over time until it balances out and becomes fresher. The white floral accord stands out more. The result is acceptable, but knowing Montale, this falls short on quality. It’s strictly feminine, for temperate climates, with beastly longevity. Recommended for those seeking a loud, intense rose. Note: 6/10.
I love this perfume; it’s in my top 3. It’s very feminine, smells intensely of roses, and is very sweet. It lasts 8 to 10 hours on me, and on clothes, it lasts even after washing. I recommend it with my eyes closed.

A very balanced fragrance that combines elegance and personality. The opening is pleasant and enveloping, with notes that blend softly into a warm, lasting heart. It has good projection and considerable longevity. Ideal for both daily wear and special occasions. Without a doubt, it’s worth trying.
Call me crazy, but I smell the DNA of Intense Café or Ristretto, just with less pronounced coffee. The musk is absent on my skin and I don’t smell the jasmine; it’s pure Montale rose with an undeclared light coffee note. Does it smell bad? No, but I was very disappointed because I expected something musky and clean, not a cousin of those others…
I’m a guy and lately I’ve become addicted to rose perfumes; marketing tells us it’s a girl thing, but I’m not afraid to try what I like. This is one where the rose feels more wearable, fresh, and soft. I love that astringent note that bothers others because it gives it character and strong presence, making it unisex rather than just feminine. Let’s break the cliché: from my first Toy Boy to nearly-bursting mature roses like Damasco, they have me hooked. Sometimes due to the synthetic nature, the trail smells less like rose and more like a clean white floral, almost marine and green, like lavender and iris mixed. It’s a casual and pleasant scent. If you find it astringent, apply it to someone else and let it settle; on your skin the rose explodes, but on the trail it smells like clean flowers. I’ve already convinced my friends and their girlfriends; they all say it smells incredible, fresh, and different, and they’re buying more florals because they suit them well.
