I tried it with a sample: it smells nice, warm, and sweet, but don’t expect something unique or unheard of. People say it’s similar to Babycat or Rosendo Mateu, but nope, they just share ingredients. On the plus side, it lasts a long time on the skin, even though the trail is light. It’s intimate, not a bomb, but I like it. I’d buy it for lounging at home, like on the couch with a blanket and a movie. It brings warmth and comfort, perfect for cold days. Overall, the cocoa is peculiar but dries down to vanilla with soft spice notes.

Ever since I heard Mancera was releasing this, my love for vanilla-wood blends made me rush to buy the set and count the days with excitement, hoping for a love at first sniff. I feel bad to disappoint you: it smells good, but nothing niche. If you told me it was a mass-market vanilla for $30 per 100ml, I’d believe it. I’m a fan of dark vanillas with wood, tobacco, incense, resins, or spices like Oud Vanille or Montale’s Dark Vanilla. This feels like a ‘want but can’t have’ situation. It feels like Mancera tried to rush this out at all costs but missed the personality and roundness, as if they hurried the perfumer and settled for something half-baked. I usually only review what I love, but I’m posting this to warn you: try it before buying blindly.
