Opens with honey and oud, quite a bit of oud at first. After a while, the honey makes its presence known and the sweetness almost overwhelms me, but then the cinnamon kicks in and the honey becomes less sharp. In the following hours, the cinnamon blends well with the honey and the oud stays in the background. The vanilla is noticeable but not aggressive, more of a background note like the oud. In the end, the amber shows up, though it doesn’t dominate. Basically, honey, oud, and cinnamon predominate, each highlighting itself in its phase. The longevity is very good and noticeable with just a few sprays. I’m not sure if I’d buy it, but it’s worthy compared to Montale’s latest. Definitely for winter and night. Totally unisex.
A very good Montale perfume, among the best in their line, and I fully agree with Oscarsh86. The oud doesn’t smell synthetic or medicinal like in Black Aoud, but rather resinous and realistic, present all the time. It opens powerful and a bit rough, but dries down to gourmand, reminiscent of Ambre Narguile thanks to the blend of cinnamon, honey, and vanilla. It didn’t fully win me over because that oud sometimes saturates me, perhaps too rough. Anyway, it’s one of Montale’s best. The performance is exceptional: if Dior Sauvage is a monster, this multiplies it by ten. Bath gel fans, better to abstain. Fragrance: 8/10, Longevity: 9/10, Sillage: 8/10. P.S.: You can’t imagine how much I enjoy writing something positive about a decent perfume.
I considered getting a split or buying blind vials, and I’m glad I didn’t. The notes don’t lie, but as other times, it smells different from what they say… The stable oud doesn’t seem well-mixed with the sugary notes. A perfume that does this well is Oud Bouquet. After reading about its performance, I expected to smell it from miles away, but with one spray, I can’t detect it more than other perfumes with the same amount. I think this house doesn’t have much that excites me, and this is no exception.
A singular proposition (with Honey Aoud, you won’t smell like anyone else). I’m trying to decipher it: excellent projection and longevity. It smells sweet, woody, oriental, and unisex. The honey is different from what I’m used to and fades in about two hours. The oud is distinct here, more muted; on my skin, the sweet notes dominate with cinnamon and patchouli, occasionally bursting with vanilla. It changes a lot over time, the notes bouncing back and forth like a tennis ball, which I love. I agree with oscarsh86: sometimes one note takes over. It’s sweet and long-lasting, though it doesn’t grab me much in the first 40 minutes; afterward, it really catches attention. A different kind of work from Montale.
I stole it from my boyfriend, and it’s a beast. The first spray screams oud, but once it dries down, it becomes a balanced blend of woody, resinous, warm, and sweet notes with cinnamon, honey, amber, and vanilla. At first, I thought it was for men, but then it turns unisex thanks to the gourmand notes. It’s the best introduction to the world of oud I’ve tried: easier than Lancôme’s L’autre Oud but more intense than Oud Bouquet. It projects elegantly in the room (not as animalistic as others say) and lasts all day. Montale, after all, has done something excellent.

Smells rich, but to me it leans more masculine than feminine; the oud is quite sharp. I found Alexandre J.’s Zafeere Oud Vanille and it smells identical, just softer and more feminine. The downside is it projects and lasts less (about 5 hours), and they cost the same, but in the end, I prefer it.
Spectacular aroma for me, very beautiful and addictive. I let my daughter and wife smell it, and they said it smelled a bit like syrup, and I agree a little. It’s warm and sweet. For a sweet and warm fragrance, I find it very versatile in the cold. I’ve worn it to work and it’s very pleasant; I feel sophisticated and confident. A 10/10 for me, I recommend it 100%.

For those expecting Tabaco Vanille-style honey from Tom Ford, you won’t find it here. This is a heavy, sweet, woody scent, even with a smoky edge, yet exquisite. The opening is very similar to Tauer’s Aire del Desierto; I was very surprised. It’s not the same, but it follows the same line. This Montale lasts longer and is more potent; I tested one on each arm and the opening was similar. Then, as it dried down, it became a bit more medicinal and honeyed—a true jewel. It lacks Tauer’s magic, but for some reason, I prefer this one. From Montale. I’m not a huge fan of oud scents, but I have to admit it has great quality; you can feel the typical elegance and sophistication of Montale and Mancera. Excellent work. Edit: After a few days, it finally wrapped around me, and I like it more than the Tauer now. I recommend trying it before investing. It’s not an easy perfume, not for everyone; an average nose might find it tedious. With each passing day, I like it more and enjoy it even while watching TV at night.
If you were expecting honey, tobacco, and vanilla à la Tom Ford, forget it: this is heavy, sweet, woody, and smoky, yet exquisite. The opening smells very much like Tauer’s Air du Désert and surprised me—it’s not the same, but it follows the same line. It lasts longer and is more potent than the Tauer; I tested one on each arm and the opening was almost identical. As it dries down, it becomes slightly medicinal and honeyed, a true gem. It lacks Tauer’s magic, but for some reason, I prefer this one more. I’m not a huge fan of ouds, but I recognize the quality, elegance, and sophisticated Montale/Mancera style. Excellent work. Edit: After a few days, it finally wrapped around me, and now I enjoy it even while watching TV. I recommend testing it before buying; it’s not easy, as an average nose might find it tedious at first, but with time, I’ve come to love it more.
Spectacular aroma that unites the sweetness of honey with the bitterness of oud. It’s a fairly linear combo between the two. The oud comes out sharp, bright, and markedly medicinal, though synthetic. At first, it can be complicated, a bit dirty and aggressive, though the honey sweetness is there. After fifteen minutes, the marked cinnamon appears, giving that spicy touch and a layer of sweet amber and vanilla that pops up occasionally, perhaps dominating more in the drydown. The leather and flowers aren’t very noticeable. It has exaggerated potency and spectacular performance for a mid-range price. Winter only, because the honey can be your enemy. Highly recommended.
It reminds me of my childhood in Mexico, when I’d come out of school and buy those cinnamon-coated candies that burned my tongue, the famous canelitas. I recommend it for cold weather; it projects a lot, easily reaching two meters.
I told the saleswoman I expected it to handle the honey like Elie Saab, but it’s not the same. Basically, it’s leather with spices and amber notes—a unisex composition but leaning more masculine. The bitter touch of the oud is appreciated. It’s not bad, but it didn’t blow my mind. I’ll give it another chance because the leather here is exquisite.
I picked this up casually without many expectations and I really liked it. Let’s forget whether Montale makes synthetics or not. This honey-sweetened oud, or that oud-darkened honey, delivers a pleasant and interesting result. Honey, oud, and spices. The opening is strong, but the drydown is well-executed, tasty, and easy to wear. It lasts a long time, over 8 hours. Ideal for cold weather with a very competitive price. Great scent overall.
Super powerful and masculine fragrance. I didn’t like it; I tested it on my skin, and while Montale often gives off synthetic notes, I wasn’t expecting this. The first half-hour smells medicinal; you can detect a bit of honey, but it’s very artificial, mixed with strong cinnamon and leather. I couldn’t take it, so I washed my test patch several times, yet the scent lingered for 6 hours. By the 2-hour mark, it was a more realistic (though still synthetic) honey blend with cinnamon and woods. Longevity is 10/10. Don’t buy blind—I know many people love this, but I think it’s a case of love or hate.
Maximum potency and very masculine. I didn’t like it much; given Montale’s reputation for synthetics, I wasn’t expecting this. The first hour smells medicinal, with very artificial honey mixed with wood, cinnamon, and strong leather. I had to wash up several times, and it was still noticeable after six hours. By the two-hour mark, it smells more realistic (though still synthetic) honey with cinnamon and woods. Longevity 10/10. Not for blind buys; it’s a love-it-or-hate-it scent.
Today’s Bachs aren’t the beasts they used to be, but this one is still a honey and oud bomb—super sweet and quite synthetic, and I love that side of it. Longevity is decent on my skin, around 6-7 hours, with average projection.
At first, it smells like whiskey alcohol with honey and spices, then the leather and oud woods kick in. Throughout the entire wear, that honey is the star. The longevity is brutal, lasting over 10 hours, and it’s a fragrance totally for winter.
A house jewel, definitely one of the top three. It’s pure sweetness with hints of honey, flowers, and cinnamon, while the oud gives it a unique twist. It reminds me of fresh-baked cinnamon cookies, but without being too gourmand. Final note: 9.4/10.
