Montale has always been synonymous with bold, standout fragrances, and Beast Love is no exception. At first, the opening is a slightly unusual blend that might confuse, but that’s part of its unique personality. Then, the heart offers a sweet, fruity touch full of charm, though it fades very quickly. What truly defines this perfume is the base: an intense leather note with woods that puts it ahead of everything else. If you love leather, you’ll adore it, but for me, it was overwhelming and I didn’t like it at all. The longevity and projection are incredible, typical of Montale, but that becomes a problem if the leather note is too strong for you. In the end, it wasn’t my perfume; the rapid transition to that dominant leather note didn’t sit well with me. It’s great for leather lovers looking for something long-lasting, but not the ideal choice for those who prefer more florals and fruits.
