Tested on skin at The Niche Corner (Tenerife) and I loved it. At first, it reminds me of layering Red Tobacco with Sauvage Elixir. The opening is sharp, but then the amber is delicious: creamy and dark. The woods and oud are smoky, like incense. The longevity is tremendous, 10 hours. I fell in love completely. Edit 14/01/2026: I loved it so much I grabbed it on sale at Brasty. Now, in perspective, I clarify that I’m bad at reviewing 😂. I’ve tried Oud for Greatness and bought Lattafa’s Oud for Glory for that rich “saffron” oud. The truth is, Eternal Wood goes that way, perhaps at a quality level between the two. I still like it, but the first impression, seen from afar, maybe I got too excited.
This Mancera launch would make sense if it were from 2018-19, but in 2024… not so much. Basically, it’s the same scent as Initio’s Oud for Greatness and its clones. That burnt sugar, intensely woody and ambered aroma. Yes, the ingredients are higher quality, on par with Initio but at a lower price. Lasts about 10 hours and projects well for three. It’s very correct, but it arrives six years too late.
This Mancera launch makes sense if it had dropped in 2018-19, but in 2024? It just doesn’t fit. It’s basically the same scent as Initio’s Oud for Greatness and its legion of clones. That burnt sugar, intensely woody, and amber profile. Sure, the ingredients are higher quality, on par with Initio but at a lower price. Great longevity around 10 hours and strong projection for about 3 hours. It’s very well-made in every way; it just arrived 6 years too late.
I love it, it’s a beast. It smells quite similar to Initio’s Oud for Greatness Neo from 2024.
A masculine woody perfume with sweet and mossy touches. Honestly, it smells similar to Lattafa’s Oud for Glory but with better quality. Use it at night in the cold; don’t even think about it in the heat.
Smells good and isn’t an unpleasant oud; it seems like many could like it. At first, I notice the palo santo, and as it dries, that touch of toffee appears—a spiced sweetness like caramel with cinnamon. I sense the cashmere very lightly, clean and warm, like a garment in the sun. I don’t detect moss. In the opening, it smells a lot like Initio’s Oud for Greatness or Lattafa’s Oud for Glory, but without the floral lavender notes and less fresh. At the end, the toffee dominates, like those caramel waffle cookies from Mercadona, and it’s much warmer.
Smells pretty good; I’d say it’s not an unpleasant oud and could be a crowd pleaser. Woody, oud… personally, I detect palo santo more in the opening, and as it dries down, that tonka note emerges. For me, it’s a spiced sweetness like tonka-caramel with cinnamon. I barely notice the cashmere; it’s very subtle, clean, and warm, like a garment in the sun (not in the style of Zadig & Voltaire’s This Is Her). I can’t really smell the moss. It smells very similar, especially in the opening, to Initio’s Oud for Greatness or Lattafa’s Oud for Glory, but without those lavender floral notes and less fresh. Here, tonka dominates the dry down, like the caramel gummy cookies from Mercadona, and it feels much warmer.
Let’s be honest: Eternal Wood was my choice for Christmas Eve and it did not disappoint. It smells like top-tier wood, with immediate class and a sweetness that gives it a very masculine vibe. The performance is brutal, lasting over 16 hours without issues, with huge projection and sillage. It’s warm, perfect for night events or cool outdoor days. But watch out: if you’re not into woody scents, don’t buy it blindly.
Smells like a millionaire and elegant. It’s the perfume for people with presence and confidence, who speak for themselves. Ideal for very cold climates; otherwise, it gets heavy.
