Weird Montale composition. Honestly, I perceive an immense bubblegum strawberry smell. It’s an incredibly sweet and potent fragrance, in line with Montale’s DNA, with great fixative and longevity. Still, despite this enveloping (and cloying) strawberry-vanilla scent, there’s something about it that’s addictive. In short, I’d define it as: energetic, narcotic, cloying, and ”artificial”. Although marked as unisex, it’s clearly feminine, and I’d only recommend it if you’re addicted to sweet perfumes; still… better to test before buying.

Montale surprises again with a weird blend: it smells like intense strawberry gum. It’s sweet, potent, and saps the life out of you, typical of the brand’s DNA. Although it’s cloying and synthetic, it has an addictive hook. I’d define it as energetic, narcotic, and enveloping. Despite being unisex, it’s clear it’s for girls who love sweets; better to test before buying.

  • Every time my parents took me to the fair, I smelled like this. I don’t detect the strawberry, but it’s a sweet and strange aroma. Cute for a young girl, I think I’ll buy it because there aren’t many perfumes that resemble it.

  • Every time my parents took me to the fair, it smelled like this. I don’t get the strawberry note, but it’s a sweet and strange scent. It seems cute for a young girl, and since there’s nothing like it, I think I’ll buy it.

Literal: Audi house air freshener. When you buy an Audi, they give you (or you can buy) a spray air freshener that’s amazing; it smells exactly like Mukhallat… weird strawberry jelly. As a perfume, I didn’t like it at all… but as a home or car air freshener, yes. Sillage and longevity… classic Montale.

  • Air freshener, floor cleaner, synthetic, shrill, sticky, and it tattoos itself onto your skin. On top of that, it projects everywhere so everyone knows you’re wearing it… According to my test, it spiked my blood sugar to 220. It’s not for me; it smells like strawberry caramel mixed with something balsamic, like throat lozenges but strawberry. I don’t see it for a man, and even if I did, I wouldn’t want my partner smelling like this on me…

  • It’s like an air freshener or floor cleaner: synthetic, shrill, sticky, and it tattoos itself on your skin, blasting everywhere. It raised my blood sugar to 220. It’s not for me; it smells like strawberry caramel mixed with something balsamic, a throat lozenge. I don’t see it for men; it might look good on a woman, but my partner wouldn’t want to smell like this on me.

  • Smells like a fancy car air freshener; I didn’t like it. Plus, it stains clothes because the liquid is red. Disappointed… totally, it’s not for me, and I’m not for it.

  • It’s a very particular perfume; at first, it’s strong—a synthetic strawberry with an incense smell, like walking into an Arab store. I don’t feel the sweet gum vibe; it’s darker and heavier, but it does remind me of an air freshener, and I like it.

  • Montale Mukhallat 🍓. Looking for a strawberry I’d like, curiosity led me to try this Mukhallat. It’s not horrible, but I think I should stop my search for freshies. It’s synthetic, smells like strawberry with sugared cherry, but has a medicinal freshness, like a granita. The almond gives it a cherry note, and there’s tons of musk. It smells to me like an air freshener called Cherry Blossom. Is it worth buying blind? If you like strawberry-cherry-musk, yes. If not, run away from it lol. Would I buy the bottle? In this case, no. Scent: 🍓🍓. Longevity: 🍓🍓🍓🍓

  • Mukhallat Montale 🍓. I was looking for a strawberry I’d like and got curious. It’s not terrible, but I think I should stop searching for fresh scents. It’s synthetic, smelling of strawberry with sugared cherry and even medicinal sorbet. The almond gives it that cherry touch, and there are tons of musk. It smells like that Cherry Blossom room freshener to me. Is it worth buying blind? If you like strawberry, cherry, and musk, yes. If not, run. Would I buy the bottle? No. Scent: 🍓🍓. Longevity: 🍓🍓🍓🍓

I was gifted a sample to try, and it smells like a brand-new doll and synthetic strawberry gum. I like strawberry scents, but spending what a Montale costs on something that smells like kids’ shampoo or room spray isn’t something I’d recommend. I prefer something more complex from this niche house.

  • There’s a baby clothing store in Chile called Limonada, and this perfume smells identical to their air freshener—a synthetic strawberry scent that’s almost incense-like. For us living here, you just have to walk into the store and you’ll know. As soon as I tested the decant, my first thought was that exact smell. Would I buy it? I don’t think so. 😅

It’s a synthetic strawberry with a new car air freshener vibe; nothing elegant, but… I absolutely LOVE it.

  • Hi! This perfume opens with a synthetic strawberry or like some lipsticks smelled in the 90s, that’s the first 30 minutes, then it turns creamy, a strawberry-vanilla syrup. When I tried it, I didn’t believe I’d use it, but I fell in love with its dry down. It would be ideal for a little girl, but I, who am not a woman over 40, love feeling it on my skin, my clothes. It has a longevity on my skin of about 7 hours, on clothes about 10. It’s very rich and yes, a synthetic touch, but totally worth enjoying.

  • verdepensativo

When I smelled it, I got an air freshener vibe. I remember synthetic school erasers from the early 80s that smelled of artificial strawberries, perfumed cases, and a bit of room spray. It generated some controversy for me; I found it very linear and unpleasant. On my skin, I only smelled the strawberry and it lasted only 5 hours. I wouldn’t try it again.

  • I think it’s an exquisite perfume. It’s true it smells like a brand new plastic doll, the same rubber fruit scent, but honestly, it’s very rich. Maybe you don’t want to smell like that and that’s fine, but it’s totally unconventional. It reminds me of my childhood. Maybe I wouldn’t wear it to a party or similar, but it’s a scent that lingers, leaves a nice trail, and makes me happy. I don’t feel much more than rubbery strawberry, and maybe a tiny bit of sweet almond-vanilla as it dries a few hours after application, but barely… I do feel that plastic scent, maybe it’s the Peru balsam, I don’t know, but I like it. It stays with me.

  • Exquisite. Yes, it smells like a new plastic doll and strawberry gum, but it’s delicious. Maybe you don’t want to smell like this, but it’s extraordinary. It brings back childhood memories, lasts forever, and leaves a beautiful trail. I only smell strawberry gum, and as it dries, a touch of almond vanilla. It stays with me.

I don’t know why people say this Mukhallat is a super-feminine scent. It’s totally unisex. As modern perfumery stands today, with Toy Boys and the rest, anyone can wear this, even my cat. Smells like Chupa Chups Koyak (acidic strawberry and morango lollipop on a stick). Synthetic? Like 98% of modern perfumery. Addictive and sensual.

This perfume reminds me of my childhood, specifically when a cousin was given a Barbie that came with a strawberry dress and a strawberry-scented cologne in a strawberry-shaped bottle; it’s the exact same scent. I can see myself at 8 years old thinking I wanted to bathe and smell that dress. Now, as an adult, finding this perfume allows me to wear the scent of strawberries and plastic, which while not everyone likes, I do. The longevity of this EDP is monstrous; I have a jacket that, despite being washed, still holds the strawberry scent. When I apply it and come home from work, the room still smells as if I just sprayed it. A tip: don’t apply it on light-colored clothes, as I stained a white shirt and since the liquid is amber-colored, it looked like dirt. But it’s the most smelly dirt I know.

It reminds me of my childhood: my cousin with her strawberry Barbie and her perfume. Now, as an adult, I can wear that strawberry and plastic scent. The longevity is monstrous; my washed jacket still smells of strawberry, and even my room smells like it was just sprayed. Tip: don’t put it on light clothes; it stains white shirts and looks like dirt, but it’s the smelliest dirt I know.

Compared to other Montales, this one is truly niche. It’s not for everyone. I expected artificial strawberry, but I got a cough syrup aftertaste. On skin, it’s interesting, like syrup with musk. It’s not versatile; it’s a nuclear weapon in terms of longevity and sillage. I think it’s more unisex than other reviews suggest. It goes beyond what’s common in feminine perfumes.

  • coke_zero

Compared to other Montale fragrances I’ve tried, this one I can definitely categorize as niche by definition. Without a doubt, it’s a scent not everyone will appreciate. I expected the artificial strawberry aroma that’s mentioned so often, but to my surprise, what I perceived was the aftertaste of cough syrup. (I know that doesn’t sound very attractive), but on skin it ends up being very interesting. It’s like the scent of cough syrup with a powdery cushion. I wouldn’t categorize it as versatile; definitely not for any occasion. As for longevity and sillage… it’s a nuclear weapon without a doubt, true to the Montale DNA. I see it as quite unisex, unlike other comments. It’s a very interesting scent that goes beyond the common ‘strawberry’ or musk expected in a feminine perfume.

  • It took me about 7 tries to appreciate the good in this perfume. The opening felt excessively synthetic and sweet, with that ‘strawberry’ smell reminiscent of plastic dolls and Avon lipstick. Over time, the strawberry loses its punch and gives way to a very comforting almond-vanilla note that, combined with the underlying strawberry, becomes quite original. It projects a lot (or gives headaches if you use more than 2 sprays) and lasts until the next shower or longer. I can’t say I loved it, but I found its positive side. It’s not really feminine, more childish. It’s for wearing with irony during certain winter moments, for personal enjoyment, or in open spaces since its penetrating scent can be annoying (my partner says it smells like a stable). Pleasant: 6/10 Interesting: 8/10 Versatile: 2/10 Original: 8/10

  • Woman in Love

I love it. At first, it’s bright, sweet, and dense, full of joy. Then it transforms into a huge strawberry caramel, a delicious lollipop treat. Later, the scent of an old powder compact appears, but so refined that it leaves only a soft sweetness, without any stale or retro notes. It reminds me of carefree teenage girl school life in American movies: young, beautiful, happy, with perfect smiles and pink dresses. A charming perfume. The longevity is excellent and the sillage is moderate.

  • Pure nostalgia. Smells like those pink glitter pens that used to be scented with strawberry. Once it dries, it becomes creamy and powdery with an almond note, turning into a red licorice vibe. I know not everyone will like it and some might find it childish, but it’s undeniable that it evokes strong emotions.
