Descripción

Lucky Candy by Montale is an olfactive fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2023, this composition is signed by Pierre Montale. The top notes of bergamot, honey, and cocoa provide a sweet and vibrant opening. The heart reveals an exotic blend of frangipani, marshmallow, neroli, coconut, and lily of the valley. To finish, the base notes of musk, vanilla, toffee, and amber impart a warm and enveloping persistence.

I’m more into powdery floral or gourmand scents. I was recommended this as a fully gourmand perfume and… nope. It’s a good perfume with a faint honey sweetness, but it reads more as citrus-floral. I don’t detect the coconut; instead, bergamot stands out on a bed of white flowers with a very subtle (quite faint) hint of honey. Lasts forever on clothes, even after washing, but on skin it lingers for about 4 hours in a very subtle way (at least on me).

Despite its name and honey plus marshmallow notes, it’s not overwhelmingly sweet. I detect more floral-musk with a slight sweet touch. It reminds me of Toy Boy 2 Bubble Gum but without the gum smell and it lasts longer (though a bit pricier). It brings back memories of those heart-shaped perfumed candies I used to buy as a kid.

  • In my opinion, it smells practically identical to Moschino Toy 2 Bubble Gum. The opening is totally strawberry bubblegum, classic flavor. Once it settles… that’s when I started literally hating it. It smells like a mix of bubblegum and cheap deodorant after three hours. It also has a floral halo that just finished killing it for me. I tested it on my hand in the store, got home, showered, and I still smelled half of it; the longevity is beastly. I don’t like it at all.

  • In my opinion, it smells almost exactly like Moschino Toy 2 Bubble Gum. The opening is totally classic strawberry gum. Once it settles… that’s when I started literally hating it. It smells like a mix of gum and cheap deodorant after three hours. It also has a floral halo that just sealed the deal for me. I tested it on my hand in the store, went home, showered, and it was still lingering. Beastly longevity. I don’t like it at all.

  • Mitafragance

I can’t distinguish anything specific, maybe because this perfume barely stands out on my nose or skin. It’s a pleasant, quite feminine and sweet blend that sticks to the skin almost immediately after spraying. I thought those pink bubblegum Montale bottles were so cute, but in my case, it was a beautiful concept that failed miserably in projection, longevity, and sillage. I can barely appreciate it.

  • Woman in Love

Super cheerful and luminous. It has that little bit of sweet, acidic, and playful vibe that instantly lifts your spirits. To me, it’s very similar to Bubble Forever: the latter starts more acidic at first, but in the end… they’re practically identical. If you have one, the other will be almost its copy, with just small nuances here and there. The longevity is quite decent, and the sillage is moderate.

  • It’s a perfume with many layers. Among the Montale samples I ordered, this one and Mukhallat are the ones I liked the most. It’s a tropical and very sweet scent. Although it has fruity-floral notes, I don’t see it as suitable for very hot climates, but rather for spring. To me, it smells like coconut, frangipani, and neroli. Very delicious!
