Chloé Eau de Parfum by Chloé is a floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2008, this composition was created by Amandine Clerc-Marie and Michel Almairac. A while ago I tried Chloé with a friend and it smelled good and different, so I asked to try it. I hated it and discarded it. A year later, my friend gifted me the Nomada, and I kept it despite my hesitation from the previous experience. Turns out this second one actually surprised and delighted me, since I usually prefer sweet and intense scents. With so many fans and looking for something more wearable for good weather, I gave it another shot. Conclusion: I hate it; I can’t distinguish the notes, but there’s a combination that makes it bitter and clings to me all the time. My rejection is immediate even as it settles on my skin.
It’s everything I don’t like: roses, powdery, vintage, classic… Nothing sparkly, fun, young, or sexy. No, it’s not for me.
You can really tell the soft roses; it’s powdery, elegant, and sweet, making me think of tenderness. It’s perfect for days when you want to feel super feminine in a long dress.
It’s sweet and floral but fresh at the same time, like looking at a garden from a bench. It’s elegant, feminine, and pleasant. My mom uses it, but I’d recommend it for all ages. As soon as I can, I’ll buy my own, but for now, I’ll use the Mercadona clone; they aren’t exact matches, but they’re very similar.
It’s powdery floral, like opening a trunk of old white and pink flowers. Spraying it transports me to another era. It’s fresh, I wear it during the day, and I think it suits any age. They’ve already said Mercadona has an identical clone with the same trail, just in case you want to try it first.
I don’t get the good reviews. I’ve smelled it on many people and I just dislike it, even find it annoying. There’s a note that my nose can’t handle. Plus, it feels very cold and impersonal… Sorry Chloe, you’re just not for me.
I love it; it’s very feminine and fresh… super versatile, a true all-rounder!
My absolute favorite! I’ve owned three bottles; it’s always been long-lasting, feminine, and fresh. It’s the perfume people ask me about on the street to gift to brides or buy for themselves.
I have the Mercadona Rose Nude, and they’re like twin sisters. It’s worth trying the Mercadona one for around €10… if you like this, you’ll absolutely flip over the store version!
I bought this for my mom for Christmas 😂😂. She already has the Mercadona Rose Nude, and after searching online, I found out this is the original. They smell super similar, so I think I nailed it 😉
Not much is said about its longevity; it’s a real beast! The scent is charming, and although it’s massified, it’s definitely worth it, and even though there are a thousand clones, I still detect its touch of distinction… I adore its rose and lychee, they make a combo that is pure joy! A ray of sunshine on a gray day!
Before smelling it, I didn’t understand why so many people talked about it, and honestly, after buying a blind 5 ml sample, I could understand all the love for this fragrance. For me, it’s spectacular, with a perfect balance of notes, good projection, and hours of longevity on the skin. After years of trying to dethrone classic Pleasures from my collection, I’ve been defeated by this beauty. A dream made into perfume, floral, innocent but with distinction. A pretty girl, but one of those who puts on heels and walks strong through life.
I thought I’d like it for its floral scent, but I haven’t liked it too much. I find it too simple, common, and somewhat childish. I don’t feel it stands out. It is true that over time I like the scent more and I think it lasts quite a while on the skin.
I hate this perfume, I can’t stand it, it makes me feel very nauseous. It smells extremely powdery rose. It has good longevity, but it’s definitely not for me. Don’t buy it blindly…
A lovely, romantic, and elegant perfume. The rose note reminds me a lot of Idôle by Lancôme; I usually fear perfumes with that note, but as I mentioned, it’s a youthful rose. Refined, it adds sweetness without being excessive, it’s fresh and gives a clean feeling. It’s one of those perfumes that makes you feel calm, peaceful, and tranquil when you smell it. A true beauty ❤️.
Mixed feelings about Chloe… on one hand, I agree about its longevity on skin, but my disappointment is that its scent is so well-known; I think it’s been imitated too much. Unfortunately, I don’t think it’s worth the expense for such a common smell.
This perfume has become a new classic. I know several people for whom it’s their signature. It smells like fresh roses with a touch of lychee and green nuances. It’s clean, delicate, and very feminine. It has moderate sillage and lasts up to 12 hours, though it stays close to the skin after 7-8 hours. Although I acknowledge its quality after using many samples, I don’t include it in my collection because I have a very similar one, the discontinued Moments by Yves Rocher. I also used two bottles of Rose Nude by Mercadona years ago, which is very similar and has excellent performance for a fractioned price. Scent 6.5/10, Longevity 10/10, Sillage 7/10, Value 7/10, Versatility 8/10, Packaging 7.5/10. Would I buy it again? No, I didn’t.
I tested this fragrance at a huge perfume store and was so fascinated that I bought a 75 ml bottle. It has something nineties and minimalist. It seems delicate, feminine, and floral. On my skin, the freesias dominate with a bit of magnolia. It’s pretty, daytime-appropriate, and suitable for warm weather.
It does smell like roses, fresher and powdery, but noticeable. I’m still testing it, but I agree it’s a bit brash; it smells clean, but it’s an ‘elaborated’ clean. For me, clean has a simpler quality. By the end of the day, the scent fades but lingers, now more woody and pleasant than in the morning. I don’t have a clear opinion yet and will keep testing. Edit: I’ve kept using it and like it more and more! I feel a delicious freshness and less rose scent. When I first atomized it, it was pure rose, but not anymore, I don’t know why 🤔. Curious, but this reaffirms that you need to give perfumes more chances if they don’t convince you at first.
Smells very soft and powdery; I’ve used it a lot. I love it at first, but eventually it gets flat and tires me out. It’s wearable for daily use and people tell me I smell good, yet I end up trying other things. I’ve been using its Mercadona clone for years, which is incredibly identical, but I’ve smelled it everywhere lately and haven’t used it in ages.
It’s the ideal perfume to gift as a signature scent to a woman over 35 or a young girl, but here I see it as more formal; it’s rose, very floral and direct, yet nothing creamy or fruity, which gives it seriousness. It’s perfect to gift to a mother: clean, elegant, and long-lasting 😉 I bought it for my mother for Three Kings’ Day, and she says it lasts well.
I love it; I tested it at a counter, smelled my arm all day, and had to come back and buy it 😅. I love all its phases; I feel clean, fresh, and elegant. I always get compliments, and it lasts forever!!! The price is high, but these 75ml are worth it 🥰.
It smells quite feminine. In the classification game, it’s definitely feminine, but not through sensuality. Some say it smells like a pretty, innocent, neat, and delicate girl, and I agree. I was gifted a sample, and it reminded me of Mercadona’s Rose Nude. Of course, there are quality differences, but not so much that I can’t admire the clone’s good work. The opening didn’t please me much, probably due to the forced-sounding lychee, but the development is pleasant. I focused on the rose, which is very well crafted, and the other flowers and base notes elevate it in a simple, elegant way. There are no hidden lines; from the bottle to the end, it’s transparent in its simplicity (not to be confused with simplicity). Decent projection and good longevity. Surprisingly, I don’t see it for older women, but it depends on personality. I liked it. They say it’s trendy, and I don’t deny that it shows, but I appreciate it and find it classier than other modern offerings. Recommended.
The opening is exactly as described, but in the heart, I only notice the magnolia and the valley lily, ending in that woody part where the white flower never disappears, leaving a fine, elegant, and clean trail. I don’t detect the amber. In summary, it’s elegant, well-blended, with great sillage and longevity. Recommended.
A supremely feminine, clean, and elegant aroma. I think it can be worn both for daily wear and special occasions. It has an air of class and distinction; honestly, I feel very elegant when I wear it. I love it!
I love it; it smells super fresh with a very delicate touch of white roses. I’d wear it in autumn or summer. I had it saved to try it, and in the end, I was convinced. It smells like a rich, sophisticated girl to me; I feel like a princess’s daughter. It’s youthful and invites freshness. I like that it lasts. It’s distinctive and uncommon, but I see it more for daytime, not for night.
This perfume confirms my trend and fascination with florals; Chloé is pure flower, fresh roses, very natural and delicate. It feels timeless, reminding me of the scented funeral wreaths from my childhood. Suitable for anyone from young girls to mature women, it’s undoubtedly very good taste. While it keeps me in my comfort zone, that doesn’t stop it from being beautiful. I don’t love the opening as much as the dry-down: it’s strong but disappears in a minute. Once it dries down, the magic begins—good longevity, moderate sillage, and I don’t mind reapplying during the day. I consider the price a bit high.
What a beautiful perfume 🥹 Chloé never misses. Their fragrances are designed for a refined, classy, and clean woman. Chloe EDP is one of the few that doesn’t follow the ‘less is more’ rule; here, ‘more is more.’ It’s ambivalent: fresh yet perfect for winter too. It strikes the right balance between floral, green, and sweet. For an EDP, I’d ask for better longevity; on my skin, it lasts a maximum of 4 hours. The bottle is stunning with silver details. Beautiful—I give it 9/10 for its sillage.
An elegant and delicate rose perfume. If you have refined tastes and know what you’re looking for, this could be your next signature scent. You’ll love it if you prefer something floral and sophisticated without being overly sweet or heavy. It fits perfectly if you’re searching for a daily perfume that doesn’t lose its class and quality. It offers a classic yet modern elegance. The blend of rose, peony, honey, and musk is fresh and floral, yet has that depth that makes it special, similar to Elie Saab Le Parfum. Plus, it’s an accessible option for everyday wear without sacrificing sophistication.
Finally got my hands on this one; it’s a gorgeous, unique addition to my collection. While I own several rose scents, the initial lychee burst is quite sharp for me, though it quickly transitions into delicious florals. I barely notice the woody notes, which is a blessing—it smells a bit powdery and very personal, almost like I have to bathe in it to detect it. I’ll let it macerate for a few months to see if it improves, as the sillage isn’t wide right now and no one has commented on it. For the price, I expected more; I bought the 75ml, and I don’t think I’ll repurchase just for the cost and longevity. It reminds me a lot of Orlane’s Bouquets Autour de la rose, which share similar notes, though I prefer the latter. Despite being an EDT, it lasts all day with good projection, at about one-third the price of Chloé.
I absolutely don’t like it. I bought it blind and it was a huge mistake. It’s very cloying, not in the sweet sense, but a scent that sticks to your soul and doesn’t go away for many hours, very heavy, like powdery.
And there it continues, becoming a true classic. It may please some more than others, but this Chloe is a powdery floral that will withstand the test of time because it’s timeless, unrelated to any trend. It’s delicate, elegant, very chic (house signature), and perfect for all ages. My nose perceives a softly fruity and citrusy opening, perhaps from the lychee, which is soon nuanced by the freshness of the peony. It’s a small, well-kept garden, innocent, with rose bushes among indeterminate white flowers. The amber encloses a clean, radiant, and very feminine perfume. It’s the perfume May Welland would wear, without a doubt. I understand its success; it presents itself as a gentle scent, a little reserved, perfect for spring mornings. Despite being well-constructed and pleasant, like many new perfumes, I feel it has too docile a personality for my taste, though it’s not timid at all, because you can tell where it’s going. I like smelling it on other people, but I don’t see it for myself.
Does anyone else find a resemblance to the L’eau de Issey from 1992?
I’ve been wearing it non-stop for a week. I didn’t know it and doubted I’d like it, but now I think it’s exactly as good a fragrance can be: clean, feminine, just the right amount of sweet, and fresh. It smells like a walk in the park with the dew from the previous night 😂. I hate being poetic, but that’s exactly it. I think it’s the lily note that evokes that fresh, soapy moisture. Fresh and wet flowers, slightly sweet, very clean. I got the 125ml so it will last a while, although if I keep using it like this, maybe not as long. I agree it’s similar to Delina La Rosee.
I was pleasantly surprised; I added it to my collection because it’s a brand classic. It reminds me of walking through a rose garden after the rain, with wet petals on the buds. It’s a fresh, wet, and delicate rose scent. I imagine a young woman from the romantic letter era—not vintage, but evoking a romantic woman.
Delicate fragrance, timeless, a classic must-have. Its balance makes it ideal for quiet equinox afternoons. It works for any age, it’s not invasive, with moderate sillage and light projection. I see it as perfect for mixing with other fragrances. The best part: I just bought a 100ml set with lotion and a leather case at an incredible price, a third of the real value, cheaper than an 80ml Zara that went up 20% here. Re-edit: I used it for two days and it’s very fine and delicate but too light. Short longevity, doesn’t seem like an EDP, barely a perfumed water. What a pity.
It’s almost identical to the Lady Emblem by Montblanc, but this Chloe is softer, more delicate, ethereal, airy, exquisite, and elegant. The Montblanc is more potent and long-lasting. I’ll have to combine them thanks to my friend who gifted me the Montblanc. It’s a touch of finesse and beauty.
What I love most about this perfume, more than the scent itself, is its longevity.
Chloe is versatility and femininity in a bottle: floral, coquettish, polished, and sparkling. On my skin, the peony stands out more than the rose, and the lychee adds a citrusy touch that really enhances it. The woody base is minimal, lasting without being heavy. It’s an excellent wardrobe staple, perfect for the office, and a great blind buy or gift. It lasts 6-7 hours with moderate projection, and the bottle is beautiful. A total hit.
So feminine and sweet, floral but super soft, nothing invasive. It arrived in a mini size and I fell in love at first sight; I knew I had to own it to enjoy it without a doubt. It’s an easy-to-love all-rounder; the freesia, peony, and lily mix perfectly, without rose notes. It’s a youthful, coquettish, and feminine floral. I’ll definitely buy it again when I finish this bottle.
