  • One of my favorite Avon scents. Sophisticated, strong, and long-lasting. Sweet without being cloying; the pepper gives it a great exotic touch. Very seductive, perfect for night and special occasions. It evokes heat—not summer heat, but the warmth of an enclosed space in winter. I especially wear it in autumn. It’s one of those aromas you never forget.

  • One of my favorites from Avon. Sophisticated, strong, and long-lasting. Sweet without being cloying; the pepper adds a great exotic touch. Very seductive, perfect for night and special occasions. It evokes warmth—not summer heat, but the coziness of an indoor space in winter. I wear it especially in autumn. It’s one of those scents you never forget.

  • It’s a gourmand scent that makes you crave a dessert with fruit and cream. It’s sweet and powdery.

It’s super sweet; I can almost feel the stickiness of the pineapple and coconut, but I’m just joking. It transports me to a distant, paradisiacal beach, lying in a hammock with my Ray-Bans on, soaking up the sun and sipping a piña colada.

It’s super sweet; I can almost feel the stickiness of the pineapple and coconut, but I’m joking. It transports me to a faraway, paradisiacal beach, lounging in a hammock with my Ray-Bans, soaking up the sun with a piña colada.

  • What a joy, it’s delicious! A great creation by Avon. The opening is juicy, like tangerine juice with zest, then comes the ripe mango, and gradually the creamy coconut with that spicy touch emerges. The dry down is a blend of coconut and sandalwood. Unfortunately, it doesn’t last more than five hours, maybe less, but the scent is so rich that it makes up for everything.

  • Caught me off guard and didn’t disappoint; it’s one of Avon’s best. At first, it’s a tropical explosion of tangerine, coconut, and mango—super fresh. Then it turns creamy and spiced, like chai tea, revealing its oriental soul. It’s cheerful, not opulent. The tangerine dominates throughout; it doesn’t smell like a piña colada to me, though the creamy note does remind me of that drink’s coconut cream. It’s sweet, even a bit cloying, but not cloying. In the end, it’s soft, almost powdery, with milky tangerine. I wish it had more spice to live up to the name ‘Exotic.’ It’s not for formal events, but it’s perfect for the beach on a sunny day. It reminds me a bit of Hillary Duff’s With Love. Lasting power is average; you need to reapply, and the projection is weak—you have to get close. But in the heat, it comes alive and lingers throughout the day. Well done, Avon!

  • Too sweet for my taste; I definitely prefer the traditional Far Away. This perfume feels weak to me and lacks great longevity. It leaves no impression. In my case.

I’m fascinated!!! I thought all Avon perfumes smelled the same, but with this one, I realize Avon has improved so much. It’s sweet but not excessive; you can smell the spice and mango notes, but not coconut. I like its longevity on my skin; it can last up to 10 hours <3 I LOVE IT.

I’m fascinated by it! I thought all Avon perfumes smelled the same, but this one shows they’ve improved a lot. It’s sweet but not over the top; you can smell the spices and mango, but not the coconut. I love its longevity—it lasts up to 10 hours on my skin. I LOVE IT!

Just bought it. I don’t like the opening notes. Like the Far Away Paradise, they remind me of oven cleaner. The difference is that in FA Exotic, after 20 minutes, the coconut comes to the rescue mixed with something I couldn’t identify. Sweet but not excessive. Very rich. Not quite what I expected, but pretty good for a summer night. Also, my mom is an Avon rep, so I got it at a super price 😉

  • This scent is quite delicate but long-lasting. The downside is that many girls wear it, which isn’t good because you end up without a scent that identifies you.

They no longer sell it in Spain, and I regret not buying it a few years ago. I had to choose between the perfume and a sweater, and I picked the sweater (which I barely ended up wearing), and I haven’t been able to enjoy this fragrance that transported me to exotic, faraway places and other cultures…

Far Away Exotic is delicious, but I see it more as a night-out scent for winter due to its sweetness, semi-powdery vibe, with notes of peach and jasmine.

  • Although the rose and jasmine don’t quite work for me, the sandalwood, patchouli, and amber are the best combination for me, and they really shine in this perfume. The fragrance is very pleasant, unique, sweet, and has a tropical touch. It could be better for days that aren’t too hot, because when the temperature rises, it feels a bit heavy.

  • Charity Julieth Lara

It’s not a super sweet perfume, so don’t expect it to be. All I detect is orange and mango; I don’t sense any coconut at all. Low longevity and poor lasting power.

Far Away Exotic is a distinct fragrance from Avon. First, a strong mandarin that envelops you, followed by a soft sweetness leaving a creamy sensation of sweet coconut. Lasts about 4 hours with moderate sillage. Ideal for summer and ages 20 to 35.

  • June 2018: The title ‘Exotic’ fits perfectly in this flanker of Avon’s Far Away. While the notes evoke beach and summer, it feels contradictory; these fragrances don’t hold up well under a 40-degree sun. Maybe for cool summer nights, but I prefer mild days for sweet, dense scents. Interestingly, despite the coconut and mango, it doesn’t smell like classic suntan lotion (white flowers, coconut, vanilla). It’s different, more like a shot of tropical fruits: juicy mandarin, mango, and coconut with soft spices, creamy sandalwood, sweet amber, and a floral touch of rose and jasmine. It feels milky, perhaps due to the jasmine. A close relative would be Versace Cristal Noir (for the coconut and spices), but Far Away Exotic is much sweeter and fruitier. It’s more vibrant and cheerful. In short: if you’re looking for tropical, sweet, fruity, creamy, and spicy scents, it’s an original and accessible option. Moderate longevity and sillage. Highly recommended. Greetings.

  • When you first apply it, you feel a lot of mandarin and spices, something citrusy. Then, in the dry-down, it smells like a creamy, warm, enveloping coconut. Although the sillage isn’t huge, the scent is very pleasant; it reminds me a bit of Versace Crystal Noir for the coconut, I suppose.

  • I just bought it and it took me a bit to understand it. My first impression was a potent ginger smell, and yes, I know it’s not among the notes, but on my skin, it comes across that way. After a few minutes, it becomes sweet and pleasantly spiced; you can smell the fruitiness and the coconut. Satisfied with my purchase.

  • Lecherrysodaa

On my skin, the mandarin is very citrusy, almost sharp like a floor cleaner. Then the spices. I don’t smell the mango or the coconut. After my disappointment with Far Away Infinity, this one really pleased me. It’s special, fruity, sweet, and very interesting. I haven’t come across anything else like it, and in a sea of gourmands, originality is appreciated.

  • Now that summer is approaching, I’m enjoying it a lot. On me, it feels like a ripe, sweet mango with a touch of spices that, with body and ambient heat, manifests in all its glory. In cold weather, it doesn’t shine; it doesn’t unleash its potential. Curiously, it’s after hours of wearing it that it smells the best and is most noticeable. It’s as if it takes time to settle. Fortunately, it doesn’t resemble the original, which I bought blindly and can’t tolerate even a little of; it gives me nausea. It keeps an DNA but is totally different. And the best part: I found it at a super discount.

  • charlotinable

It’s extremely creamy and powdery on my skin. The mandarin, mango, and coconut shine in a perfect trio without overshadowing the jasmine and rose. It’s exquisite, soft, and elegant, evoking sunny beach days and hot summers. Totally summery. It doesn’t have ylang-ylang, but it’s a hidden note that comes out timidly. It’s very soft and long-lasting without being harsh, but it’s there, refusing to disappear. I plan to buy more bottles, as many as I can, since I’ve liked it so much and I find it delicious on my pH. It reminds me a lot of Dior’s J’adore In Joy; the notes seem very similar, and it’s another one I enjoy. It’s not for cold climates, but for hot summer days and evenings. A delicious perfume treasure.

  • I don’t know if everyone has the same impression. I read that some say it’s for summer, fruity… I don’t feel the fruitiness or tropical notes. In my mind, it evokes an oriental night, loaded with spices, spicy, woody, sweet without being caramel-like, warm, and spirited. Everything a seductive autumn-winter perfume should have. Its characteristics provide warmth in the cold. I love it!

  • This fragrance confuses me a bit. I have a memory from years ago when I bought it after smelling a sample, as a classmate at university sold Avon products. Completely in love, I bought it, went home, applied it, and liked it. The problem arose when I started wearing it. Maybe my mistake was the amount (too much) and the sillage, because honestly, I didn’t finish it and had to gift it to my mother, who used it without issues. I think I over-scented myself, and since it’s an exotic scent as its name suggests, with good longevity and a sweet profile, it became overwhelming, causing me nausea and headaches. In a word, I gifted it away. However, I remember it was rich and lovely, but one note was suffocating. Maybe I’ll try it again cold, being careful with the sprays. It piques my curiosity because I love Far Away Classic; it’s exquisite, but it causes me the same reaction if I don’t use moderation. I find it very intense, rich, but strong, which is why I prefer the cologne, which is super affordable in Argentina; it lasts great on me (several hours) and doesn’t overwhelm. It smells incredible, but without that intensity that suffocates me. In short, if I find it, I’ll give Far Away Exotic a second chance. I suspect that if I apply it delicately, I’ll enjoy it. Updated May 2021: Today I was able to buy it again. I agree it’s a cold-weather perfume; I couldn’t bear it in the heat. Although it has tropical notes, it’s not summery or fresh; it’s potent and intense. It’s discontinued in Argentina (people take advantage of the low price, but today I found it at an incredible promotion). It was the last one, and I took it. As the cold started, I sprayed it on at night, and magic happened… I love it! It’s exotic, it transports me, it’s sweet but not common, not gourmand or childish. It’s spiced, dry, powdery like all the Far Away scents, but not as much as the classic. I detect coconut, something citrusy (mandarin), sweet fruity (I assume mango), spices, and a hint of jasmine, but little. I don’t perceive the rose (fortunately, unless it’s camouflaged). A little sandalwood too. It doesn’t fascinate me as much as the original, but I like it a lot. It’s attractive, warm, seductive… a bottled elixir. This time, only twice on the neck and twice on the wrists, it didn’t feel overwhelming; it’s noticeable and much. I hope I don’t have to gift it again. I highly recommend it; if you find it, don’t buy blindly, test it and use it moderately to keep it delicate; it’s delicious. I can’t stop highlighting its longevity, incredible on my skin. I used it one night, and several hours later, I could still smell it, even after showering. It lasted about 12 hours, though it lingered close to the skin… It’s a beast of a perfume!

  • Meleagrina80

It’s a tragedy that Avon discontinued this gem; it’s a huge mistake for those who love it. I have half the bottle left and can’t find a refill. It’s frustrating that Infinity is still around—it’s more common but less durable—when they should have pulled this beauty from the market. It’s a summer scent with incredible sillage and longevity, original and unique, one of Avon’s best in years… what a shame!

  • This perfume has me hooked, and I can’t believe it’s discontinued, which is why I use it drop by drop. Delicious, intensely spiced, vanilla-infused, and oriental; sweet, it might seem cloying to some, but for me, it’s just right and incredibly sensual.

  • I’m going to miss this so much. It truly lives up to its name, a super exotic scent. It’s not for everyone; I think you’ll either hate it or love it. On my skin, the spices really come through, followed by the mango.
