Descripción
Far Away Rebel by Avon is a fruity-floral-gourmand fragrance for women. Launched in 2018, the nose behind this composition is Jean-Marc Chaillan. The top notes reveal an explosion of whipped cream, blackcurrants, raisins, and red fruits; the heart unfolds with Madagascar vanilla, orange blossom, and sambac jasmine; while the base notes land on chocolate, caramel, salt, patchouli, and ambertonic.

If you love sweet scents, this is for you. It’s delicious: a mix of red berries, toffee, and chocolate. A pure treat.
Smells super sweet with a strong bergamot, whipped cream, chocolate, and caramel vibe. After a few hours, it settles into a subtle scent reminiscent of the original Far Away. It has a definite gourmand feel.
Very sweet and comforting aroma, very much in the line of Black Opium. It has nothing to do with the original Far Away. I loved it, although I miss more projection and longevity. It smells like red fruits with chocolate and toffee, which gives it that little coffee kick typical of the gourmands it resembles. A great addition to my collection, although sometimes I boost it with body mist or Arabic oil before spraying. Scent 8/10, Longevity 5/10, Sillage 6/10, Value/Quality 8/10, Versatility 7/10, Packaging 8/10. Would I buy it again? Yes.
My first review and it’s for this delicious Avon fragrance, Far Away Rebel. I love the blackcurrant note that’s perceptible from start to finish, softened and creamy thanks to the whipped cream. On my skin, the toffee just blends in, the chocolate gives it body, and I barely notice the orange blossom, but maybe it softens it and is the finishing touch that adds freshness to this well-made mix. For me, it’s a version of Black Opium EDT (the first one from 2015). The opening of that EDT (I think it’s already discontinued) was sweet, delicious, and fresh blackcurrants. Unfortunately, that note didn’t last long and the EDT had the flaw of poor longevity on my skin. So I’m happy to have found this perfume, of better quality and cheaper than the Black Opium EDT 2015, where my favorite notes stand out and last about six hours. It’s not the typical sticky gourmand; it’s elegant in its own way. A pleasant surprise. My advice: try Avon fragrances, they’re super affordable, very well made, and some beat designer perfumes.

It’s very pretty but it doesn’t last even 40 minutes.

Hello. In my experience, it opens with blackcurrants and shy grapes peeking out, adding to a soft whipped cream. The orange blossom starts emerging like a wave breaking within the opening notes, fusing softly but precisely. It reminds me of the orange blossom in Scandal and La Vie est Belle, but with the seriousness and depth of Poison Girl EDP. The base notes take over: it starts with sweet, soft chocolate, with some dulce de leche drops, and deep down, a vanilla begins to pulse, giving prominence and… surprise! An intense jasmine starts. That vanilla and jasmine make you remember something, leaving you disoriented and desperate to recognize that sensation, and then, closing your eyes, you start to feel and discover the original Far Away. Everything becomes pleasant and ecstatic in this great fusion of Rebel. A bonbon filled with an intoxicating, mysterious, and tempting spell.

Avon EDP Far Away Rebel: a little perfume with a strong opening of blackcurrants, orange blossom, and medium sweetness that evolves into salty chocolate over time. Lasts 2-3 hours with moderate sillage. A pleasant and addictive fragrance for the nose. Recommended for ages 15+, all day, and cold weather. Yes, it resembles Black Opium.
I loved it! I love sweet fragrances, so this joins my favorites. It lasted forever on my skin and on clothes too. Like any scent, it doesn’t always feel the same intensity; over time it fades depending on the perfume’s quality. In the case of Far Away Rebel, it lasts quite a while on my skin. I love the top, heart, and base notes. I wore it today from 8:20 AM to 9:30 PM, and it’s still on my clothes. Not as much on my skin, but it’s a treasure worth it. It’s better for cool weather, fall, winter, and maybe spring; it’s overwhelming in summer. Recommended? If you like sweet scents, obviously! It’s very different from typical bubblegum sweets; this feels floral and creamy.
I loved it! I love sweet fragrances and this has joined my favorites. It lasted forever on my skin and on clothes too. Like any scent, it fades in intensity over time; it depends on the quality whether it disappears or lingers. On my skin, Far Away Rebel lasts quite a while: I sprayed it today at 08:20 and at 21:30 it was still detectable on my clothes. Less on the skin, but it’s a gem worth the price. It’s best for cool climates, autumn, winter, and maybe spring; it’s overwhelming in summer. Recommended? If you like sweets, obviously! It’s very different from bubblegum scents; here you feel floral and creamy♡
I bought it based on reviews. With the bottle empty, I’d say if it had better sillage and longevity, it would be perfect. The scent is amazing, but the fact that only you can smell it is super lame. It lasts about 4 hours at best. Well, considering how cheap it is, I’m glad I got an empty bottle.
I love it! I use it a lot. The little purple bottle was a bonus. I’m not a huge sweet tooth and Avon scents are usually powdery, but this isn’t. How to describe it? Dark, creamy, enveloping, and it stands out on my skin. Remember, every skin is different; what doesn’t work on one might last longer on another.
It arrived! I ordered it here and I liked it. I expected it to be sweeter, but that acidic touch makes it exotic. On my skin, I don’t sense any chocolate. It lasts well but has weak projection. It’s the distant cousin of the original Far Away (for the better) 👏
On my skin, it leaves a strange scent; I don’t smell chocolate at all, nor does it feel gourmand. I smell violets, but they’re not listed among the notes. The scent is quite heavy and dark. I’m torn between liking it and not liking it; it leaves me feeling unstable because I’m not sure if it smells good or what. Honestly, sometimes I smell baby vomit.
I love the entire Far Away line; now I’m using Rebel thanks to a 1 ml sample a distributor gave me. What does a floral and citrus fan who prefers those over gourmands say? It comes across as sweet (I prefer florals and citrus), but I like it. Like in other reviews, I don’t smell the chocolate; the blackcurrant, cream, and toffee make it sweet, and the surprising fusion with orange blossom makes it creative. Jean-Marc Chaillan, the perfumer for Jennifer Aniston, Taylor Swift, Calvin Klein, Liz Claiborne, Estee Lauder, Dolce & Gabbana, and others, really did magic.
It feels weird on me. Zero chocolate or gourmand vibes; it smells like violets despite what they say. It’s heavy and dark, making me feel unstable: does it smell good or like baby vomit? I don’t know, it’s a ‘maybe’.
Its scent is very similar to YSL’s Black Opium: sweet, warm, and creamy… totally addictive, but in a celebrity style with small sillage, low projection, and short longevity. Still, I love it because the price is accessible and it doesn’t hurt my wallet with re-applications.
I just don’t get along with Avon perfumes. I wanted to give this another shot with those appealing notes… and, as always, disappointment. It reminds me of Black Opium, which I love, but the longevity is a joke—barely half an hour. Plus, they label it Eau de Parfum; I don’t know if that’s a joke. The scent is rich and not bad, but it lacks power or strength, missing the captivating spiced coffee notes found in YSL. It’s indifferent, just like everything else from Avon 🙁
Just like the On The Edge by Oriflame, I don’t smell the listed notes; instead, I get violet, leather, and caramel. It’s more gourmand than the previous one.
Did you know people say it smells like Ilia Secreto by Natura? It’s because it smells very much like grape, even though the notes say blackcurrant. It’s a potent, somewhat synthetic grape scent; the Natura version smells like higher-quality grape. Despite that, it’s rich, super fruity, and sweet. The sillage is non-existent; you only smell it if you’re practically touching the wearer. I also didn’t detect chocolate or toffee, just a sweet syrup-like finish. On skin, it doesn’t last even half an hour, which is a shame—I wouldn’t buy it again.
Avon only lists four notes: salty chocolate, toffee, orange blossom, and red berries, so I’m basing my take on that. Far Away Rebel is gourmand and fruity, smelling like a candy shop—you could practically eat it. Sweet orange dominates at first, followed by the toffee. The salty chocolate is barely noticeable at first but appears subtly at the end. Longevity is moderate-to-high with a soft sillage. Perfect for temperate and cold climates. It seems more expensive than it is; a real bargain.
I haven’t tried it yet, but based on the notes, it could be the old Black Opium Eau de Toilette. Of course, I need to test this Avon one first before writing a more complete review.
This is the budget version of Natura’s Kriska Drama.
A vanilla dream with hints of Black Opium Nuit Blanche, very purple with blackcurrant and a faint plasticine vibe. On my nose, I didn’t detect the toffee or whipped cream—probably because I only tested one spray. The trail is weak; you have to get your nose close, and then other fragrances devour it. Worth the price, but I wouldn’t buy it since I already have similar scents.
The scent is rich, reminiscent of Black Opium but a tad sweeter. It fades in a jiffy, making it perfect for everyday wear.
Hehe, well, let’s see… I just say I won’t buy it again. The notes are promising but… buy it and you’ll see. If it happens to you like it did to me, you can’t even smell it.
Delicious, creamy, and powdery. You can smell all the notes. The opening is identical to the discontinued Amor Amor Temptation, ufff. Now I’m testing the dry-down and longevity; for a little over 100 Mexican pesos, you can’t ask for much.
I smell whipped cream, caramel, white chocolate, vanilla, and salt. It doesn’t seem like a dupe of Kriska Arrasa because that one has dark chocolate. It’s my new favorite for daily use. After several hours, the DNA of the traditional Far Away (which I hate) comes through very softly, but I love it here. Being gourmand makes it super youthful and enjoyable. It was hard to get my hands on, and I’m happy to have it.

I had a hard time getting my hands on it, and I’m so happy to have it.
The only downside is that it doesn’t last long, but it’s worth having in every woman’s collection. It’s extremely delicious, sweet, and delicate; you can really taste the blackcurrant, patchouli, caramel, and whipped cream. It’s a gem.
Smells like sweet chocolate and I loved it.
Far Away Rebel is love and disappointment: it smells delicious, like a creamy dessert of berries, caramel, vanilla, and a floral touch, simply adorable and nothing like its family, it’s modern and gourmand. But the performance disappoints: moderate sillage and ephemeral two-hour longevity, the worst in my collection. It’s sad because it’s truly delicious. Ideal for gourmand lovers.
I like it: at first it smells like grapes or blackberries, then whipped cream. The combination is very deep, justifying it as a fall/winter scent, though on me it wasn’t as potent; I can barely smell it when I bring my nose close. If you don’t want to draw attention, it’s ideal. I would wear it all year because it doesn’t bother me; in fact, I smell it more in the heat than in the cold.
Smells amazing, like grape juice, and matches perfectly with Bath & Body Works Dark Vanilla, both purple. Lasts 6 hours on its own and up to 8 with the lotion, a steal and a delight.
It’s not an exact dupe of Black Opium, but very similar, especially when dry. The opening has delicious blackberries with whipped cream creaminess, and as it dries, the coffee and vanilla take over, reminiscent of the original. Lasts over 6 hours with moderate projection. It’s sweet, sensual, and perfect for winter or fall outings. I fell in love with it for the price, quality, and bottle; a blind buy. On Notino, 90ml costs less than 10 euros. I loved it, smells delicious and takes me back to the 2000s, but it’s a bit disappointing because it doesn’t last long enough to even smell it well.
