Descripción

Euphoria by Calvin Klein is an oriental floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2005, this composition was created by Dominique Ropion, Carlos Benaïm, and Loc Dong. The top notes unfold the freshness of pomegranate, persimmon, and green accords; the heart reveals the sensuality of black orchid, lotus flower, and champaca; while the base settles on a foundation of cedar, amber, black violet, and whipped cream. This perfume was awarded the FiFi Award Fragrance of the Year Women's Luxe in 2006.

  • Purely feminine on a floral base of rose, violet, and orchid, with a modern touch from the dominant persimmon note, riding the wave of exotic fruit like Summer Daze from the same house. The creaminess and powdery dry-down push it to a classic style some call ‘old lady,’ but it’s the timeless chic of Paris. Sexy, invasive, and disturbing aroma, not for every setting.

  • Euphoria is a great perfume, undeniable. It’s one of those scents that no longer make, leaving a mark and having great quality. However, for me, it was too strong, and with two applications I ended up with a terrible headache. That doesn’t take away from it being a great fragrance where you can feel the floral touch, but the woods made it impossible for me. For those who like strong, non-mass-market scents. Preferably use in cold climates.

  • When I first smelled it, I thought I had to own it. It opens spicy and strong at first, then you feel the violet, a flower I love with woods. It’s more nocturnal, a winter scent, elegant, slightly powdery, unisex, and complex. I’d wear it for formal occasions or going out.

  • Nicaury Reynoso

It’s woody, floral, and a bit sweet. Not for everyone. I’ve gotten compliments. Try a sample before buying the full bottle.

  • I fell in love with it so much. If it’s hot, since it’s dry it doesn’t become cloying and works well. In winter, its strength can also be a plus. The notes are very different; honestly, it reminds me of a brand new Euro bill, with a sweet touch and power. That mix of acidic, bitter, and sweet also reminds me of persimmon/kinoto skin, definitely.

  • Smells like just stepped out of an expensive salon. I’d wear it on casual days today; it doesn’t have the presence for very special occasions, but it’s perfect for informal moments. It gives the effect of smelling clean, put-together with expensive lacquer and good makeup.

  • It was an exquisite, refined, and sophisticated perfume. Unfortunately, to make it more commercial, they changed the formula to sweeter notes and ruined it. What a shame.

  • A groundbreaking rarity like others. The opening is concentrated pomegranate juice, followed by deep wood and a subtle dusty dry-down, like old powder. I imagine a goth in a burgundy and black dress drinking wine. Mysterious and sexy, with a vintage vibe. I don’t find it as strong as people say; it’s compatible with temperate climates, though I doubt it for summer. I really liked it; if it had success, it must be for a reason. Edit: yes, it is strong and has great projection—I got called out at work for smelling too much (even after hours). People complimented me, and a girl even recognized the scent. Be careful ⚠️, but it’s an absolute fantasy and a bomb 🎇.

  • Just bought this beauty. I’ve always been magnetically drawn to it without knowing why, but for some reason I kept putting it off. My intuition didn’t fail me; it’s for me: magnetic, mysterious, nocturnal, and wild. So much complexity and evolution! It comes and goes with the warmth of the skin: first pomegranate and green accords that stick around, blending superbly with amber and violet—so much warmth! The heart dances peripherally, caressing everything but staying discreet, and the dry-down turns creamy, powdery, and dry, not cloying at all. Not for every palate, especially now that everything is sweet and artificial. I love this rarity. Longevity 10/10, sillage 8/10, projection 8/10.

If you’re nostalgic for the 80s and 90s, this is it. Elegant, not overly feminine thanks to the wood notes—a well-groomed man would wear it too. Powerful for a woman who owns her life, yet not heavy: starts citrusy then moves into amber. It has character, not playful. Lasts on skin and clothes for days. Beautiful, simple bottle. Perfect for nights out to conquer the world.

  • It ran out, and I felt bad because I used it to the last drop. It was a love-hate relationship, but I kept choosing it because it’s so impactful and unique. I’d buy it again, but it’s not my top priority right now.

  • Melissarinana

You have to smell it before buying. I heard a lot about it, tried decants, and so far it’s the perfume I’ve liked the least. It smells very strong, and the woods give it a masculine edge. That said, it has excellent sillage and longevity.

  • It’s very strong, too much perfume. It’s the kind of scent that made me think I didn’t care for fragrances at all. Smells like a tester mess and gives me a headache. But it has incredible longevity and sillage that stops traffic. The base is more amber than wood, with that dark orchid touch and bitter pomegranate. One drop lasts all day. If you like that style, it’s yours.

  • Euphoria is that ‘power woman’ scent—potent and overwhelming. It’s an oriental woody perfume that could easily be unisex. It’s sensual, with fruity pomegranate notes contrasting against woods and amber, giving it a formal and bold character. For me, it’s totally different, distinctive, and unmistakable, with great projection. I’m not a Calvin Klein fan, but this is their best.

  • It’s weird, but on a man for daily wear, it must smell amazing. For women, I love it at night; even though I’m not a fan of the campy stuff, this one has me obsessed.

  • It doesn’t work for me. I don’t get the sweetness everyone talks about, and to my nose, it smells super unisex.

  • Belenperfumada

Marvellous! I fell in love at first sniff. Don’t buy this blindly; it has a strong personality and nothing to do with those trendy sweet perfumes. It smells like a masculine rose, fresh at first, then explodes into flowers and wood, super exotic. Lasts about 6 hours with good projection, then another 7 on the skin. If you like Absolutly Irresistible, you’ll love this.

  • Coni Macarena Miel

It’s a violet with amber and whipped cream—very sophisticated and full of character. Not for everyone, but it pleasantly surprised me. I’d just cut the pomegranate or persimmon; they add a bitterness I don’t like.

  • Smells old and heavy, just like my mom’s perfume that clings to me all day. If you’re looking for something youthful, forget it; this is way too mature.

  • At first, that green pomegranate opening caught me off guard, but over time the flowers and amber blend into something beautiful. It’s not my everyday scent, but a great option for floral lovers.

Euphoria is a curious jewel of creativity, I’d say, like many that came out in its time. Currently, I don’t find creativity; they aren’t potent except for a few, and anyway… I don’t like smelling something related to food, whether it’s a lemon dessert or something associated with pastries. I love Euphoria for its compositional complexity and being a true orchid perfume, off the beaten path and genuine. I have to go back to that era or earlier to find something like this. The emergence of this perfume shows that sometimes you have to take a risk to create a jewel at this level.

  • Perla Vencis

For a reason, this perfume won an award in 2006, and besides, the Calvin Klein house is top-selling, it’s number one, after Eternity and CK One. Here we have a balsamic, herbal, woody aroma perceived from the opening. The star flowers are black orchid, lilacs, black violets with lots of cedar and amber. On my skin, I don’t feel vanilla or whipped cream as declared on this page. It’s an aroma where the black orchid shines with its own light along with the black violets and cedar. It’s a classic worth having and enjoying.

  • Despite not having leather among the declared notes, the aromatic vibe present in the trail of this fragrance relates quite a bit to Tom Ford Ombre Leather.

  • This perfume has always seemed super ‘overwhelming’ to me… that would be the most correct word to define it. It’s the type of perfume that doesn’t go with me… If I have to describe what it makes me feel besides that, it would be: a femme fatale perfume that you spray, it gives you a cough, and finally a headache that triggers terrible nausea 😅

  • Ƙörıchî Moonglass

Among my personal fragrances, it’s super rich and doesn’t seem as ‘masculine’ or strong as others say, but unfortunately, you can only enjoy it once applied; after two hours, you’ll barely feel anything, and that’s even though perfumes usually last longer on me. Minimal sillage, and I don’t even feel it on my clothes ;c

  • Without a doubt, whether you like it or not, it’s an interesting perfume, very peculiar for a designer brand; without a doubt, it’s different and special. It feels quite herbal, woody, and the orchid is present. It’s not something to buy blindly since it’s a strong scent, almost medicinal, and close to unisex. Then it softens and becomes creamier. It’s not my taste, but I recognize its originality.

  • It’s a perfume with a lot of character, so for people with a lot of character. It’s a very elegant and sensual woody; it doesn’t seem too strong to me, but if you hug the person wearing it, you’ll spend a while enjoying their fragrance. It’s nothing scandalous, it’s a very, very good and beautiful perfume.

  • Minimalister

I met it at a sample and I loved it. It’s something I’ve been looking for for a long time and couldn’t find: an original scent that catches attention and is pleasant to many people. The first thing that came to mind when I smelled it for the first time was a scene I never lived: getting ready at night to go out partying in the 90s. But no, it’s really a perfume where you can feel the wood spectacularly intertwined with the sweetness of orchid and a bitter note that makes it totally seductive. I could wear it every day, but it’s better suited for temperate to cold climates. In short, it’s not a simple scent, but it is exquisite.

  • EUPHORIA: WHEN DESIGN WAS ALSO EMOTION. FOREVER, THE SILVER BOTTLE. In this FIFI Award-winning fragrance, Dominique Ropion was involved, and it shows in that impossible balance: the opening feels like an explosion of exotic red fruits, then it quickly evolves into a floral heart, but with a dark, almost mineral edge, dominated by orchid, wrapping everything in an exotic and sensual veil, like a flower blooming in the shadow. Euphoria flows between contrasts: oriental, fruity, floral, woody, ambered, and slightly ‘patchouli’. It has that abstract femininity that touches androgyny, as it doesn’t anchor itself in a gender, but in an emotion. And like the song of the same name, it evokes that moment where everything rises, where love becomes immortal and everything else disappears. ‘Tonight, eternity’s an open door…’ An eternity that doesn’t promise a future, but a final-less now, suspended in desire. Euphoria is that: an eternal work of art, a heartbeat that seeks no logic, a shared ascent. ‘Forever, ’til the end of time.’ 🍀 Recently, its bottle has lost its original metallic armor, leaving the red liquid visible like the EDT. Is it an aesthetic redesign or simple cost-cutting by Coty? Be that as it may, the soul of Euphoria remains there, intact.

  • I’m going back to reviewing, something I rarely do, because this masterpiece deserves it. Yes, it’s Dominique, unleashing an art that I love more and more as I realize most of her creations are exactly what I adore; she has that intuitive talent, she doesn’t copy, she doesn’t just take inspiration from others, she’s always original! I’ve had this fragrance in my collection for over a year, and as I said before, it’s magnetic—my nose just wants to go with it. Believe or break? I choose to believe, as fragrances degrade or rather settle upon contact with oxygen. This one did. We’re in autumn in Argentina, a season that’s been warmer than usual around here. How splendid this fragrance is during these times; I bought it yesterday and put it on around noon. I must say, 24 hours have passed and I still get bursts of it—the skin scent is evident, and on clothes, wow, a delicacy. Fruity, balsamic, floral, and creamy. The order of factors doesn’t change the result, as they all reinforce each other, magnificent, but without fighting for first place, it’s like enjoying a great dish where you distinguish each component one by one. What harmony! As soon as my bottle runs out, I’ll run to get another; it’s an essential in my collection and luckily it’s very affordable. I just love him!

  • La esencia de la Victoria

Calvin Klein’s Euphoria grabs attention from the very first moment. Its fruity opening with pomegranate and persimmon is vibrant and modern, different from what I usually smell, and the floral heart of lily and orchid gives it a feminine and elegant touch without being cloying. The base of amber and ebony wood adds depth and warmth, making it last hours without losing its character. I especially like how it combines strength and subtlety: it’s not over-the-top, but present enough to leave a mark. Every time I wear it, I notice it accompanies me naturally, making me feel secure and giving me a small confidence boost effortlessly. For me, it’s versatile: it works just as well for daily wear as for special occasions, and I always find something new depending on how it evolves on my skin.

  • Angela pamela

This perfume is witchcraft… perfect for binding any lover. I received many compliments, especially from guys. It’s a bit dark but perfect. I’m not sure if it’s the reformulation, but before it lasted much longer. Now its longevity is a ‘meh’, but it’s so rich…

  • Ninoskaohm29

I love it. They gifted it to me in 2010 when I was around 20, and I felt confident and secure wearing it. Years later, I bought another bottle, and it brings back so many memories. Although the current Euphoria seems reformulated and isn’t the shadow of the potent version it used to be, it remains beautiful. I don’t know anything similar; it doesn’t smell like anything I’ve tried before. It’s mysterious, dark, and honestly, I don’t detect any specific notes. Simply a well-made blend that always has good chemistry with my skin. My all-time favorite.

  • Eugenia Argentina

I don’t know how to describe it; it’s super complex, but I can smell the orchid, the wood, and something else. I bought it on sale blind based on its notes and didn’t make a mistake: it’s persistent, has great sillage, and says ‘woman,’ not ‘girl.’ I know they’ve copied it a lot, but I wanted it. My son says it’s for ladies, but I share that it’s dark and mysterious. Perfect.

  • Edgar Allan Hoes

I didn’t use it myself; I gifted it to a relative. They liked the smell—it smells great—but it lasts a breath. Terrible in that regard.

  • I love it. It’s intense, sensual, and feminine. What I like most is that it stands out from the commercial crowd; it’s original and distinguishes itself among current scents. I see it as very autumn/winter, though it could work well on a cool spring/summer night. I keep it for special occasions; it seems too exotic for daily wear. I recommend trying it before buying because it’s very particular and might not suit everyone.

  • This perfume is a masterpiece, and I’m not going to argue. I agree it’s dark, sexy, and mysterious.

  • This is the definitive perfume. If you have a strong, commanding personality, you’ll adore it. It smells like violets with a sweet whipped cream touch that balances the black orchid and cedar; it’s unisex, hypnotic, addictive, mysterious, and sensual. The name does it justice, though I’d call it ‘Enigma’. It’s like the Jet X: cool and makes you stand out.

  • When I first tried it, I thought it had patchouli because on my skin it smells minty and bitter. I’m not sure if it’s the green notes, but I don’t like it.
