It’s the twin of Gardenia Wao, a rich floral explosion. I love this perfume; it’s a shame it’s no longer available, but I accidentally bought Gardenia based on reviews, and to my surprise, it’s identical to Today. What a lovely scent, very elegant and attention-grabbing. Ideal for a special night out and elegance. It doesn’t envy anything from recognized brands, so if you can still find it in your country, buy it; you won’t regret it.
Today has a lot of personality; you either love it or hate it (something similar happens with the original Far Away). It’s a flash of flowers. The sillage is quite strong in my case and can linger until the next day. At first, I get a bit dizzy and even find it irritating due to the tuberose and jasmine, but over time it softens and feels elegant yet very cheerful. I’d recommend it for ages 30 and up, maybe (though I always say anyone can wear what they want, that’s just what the perfume projects).
Avon really nailed it with this perfume. It reminds me of the Cabotine style (not the scent itself, but that explosive floral vibe that shakes you up). It’s a floral bomb with great longevity for a catalog fragrance and moderate sillage. It’s not linear; it’s a complex white floral blend that’s incredibly interesting for the price. I don’t think it’s for everyone, but the best thing about Avon is that they sell miniatures so you can test it before buying. At first, it seems super strong, then it changes and isn’t overwhelming. It pairs perfectly with Avon’s matching body cream, lasting hours. Fun story: I sprayed it near a coworker, and he didn’t like the opening at all, thinking I’d put on insect repellent. Later, once it settled, he asked what perfume it was and loved it.
I’m not usually a catalog perfume user, but my grandmother gifted me the first bottle, and I loved it so much I now have two more. I love that it’s a sophisticated fragrance at a very affordable price. Like other comments, I recommend using few sprays because it projects a lot and can be overwhelming. I use two or a maximum of three, and it lasts for many hours.
The only thing I notice is orange blossom from start to finish. And it’s not as strong as they say, of course, it depends on the person. I admit I don’t mind it, and eventually, the scent becomes imperceptible to my nose. I would have preferred it to be heavier on jasmine or tuberose instead of just orange blossom; although I like that note, if I’m looking specifically for orange blossom, I’d go for Yves Rocher’s Matin Blanc.
My mother, who sold Avon, gifted me this perfume. I love it and have bought it again. It doesn’t smell strong to me at all, and although it lasts, it has a moderate sillage on the skin. The notes are beautifully combined. It feels serene and elegant, perfect for various occasions. It has great quality; you just have to enjoy it without any complexes.
What can I say? It’s an essential in my collection. It has everything! It’s the only Avon fragrance I truly love. Upon spraying, it’s intense—you can detect the orange blossom—but everything is well-balanced: white flowers, buddleja, that special cactus note, and a watery accords that doesn’t bother. To me, it feels very elegant, ideal for women over 20. It has great sillage, projection, and longevity. It lasts over 7 hours on skin and more than a day on clothes. I’ve received so many compliments; even though some don’t like the strong opening, the positives outweigh the negatives. It’s a high-quality gem created by Oliver Cresp, who has made perfumes for designers I adore like Carolina Herrera, Kenzo, Dolce & Gabbana, and Nina Ricci. Without a doubt, it’s a 10. As always, I recommend trying it first because it’s special. It’s still in Avon’s catalog as an exclusive in 50ml and 15ml sizes.
What a treasure! It starts with powerful white flowers and a zesty acidic touch that makes it super fresh and sparkling. It lifts your mood and brings joy. At first, it might seem strong, but then it settles into something wonderful and delightful. Far and away, it’s the best from Avon and one of the best jasmine and tuberose fragrances in history. I had it, I have it, and I’ll always have it.
I hated it. I have one from fifteen years ago that still smells delicious, but this new version is different: it lacks strength, isn’t very sweet, and has a musk note that doesn’t suit me at all. It was a total disappointment.
I’m not a floral fan; the combination of neroli and tuberose used to give me nose-tingles, but since it was cheap, I gave it a shot, and what a surprise. I absolutely loved it. The longevity is top-notch, and it smells like fresh, perfectly balanced flowers that aren’t overwhelming at all. I’m already itching to try more from Avon.
I don’t like it. It feels like a perfume for a lady over 50.
Reading reviews broke my prejudice against catalog perfumes; I bought several and tried this one yesterday… it’s a marvel! I adore neroli and it shines here. On my skin, the rest of the notes just accompany and embellish beautiful, fresh neroli, less creamy than usual. During the day, you notice it in waves, surprising you while you’re lost in thought. Moderate projection, good fixation (6 hours on skin), and suitable for all seasons, with a preference for spring and autumn. In short, if you like white florals, especially neroli, it’s a magnificent alternative that has nothing to envy from a designer brand and often surpasses them at a fraction of the price.
I fell in love with Today by Avon the moment it came out. It’s intense, feminine, almost oily to the nose but not to the touch. That touch of cactus surprised me; I always knew it had something, that ‘something special’ different from other Avon perfumes, more body, more essence, more personality. A rebellious, wild side accompanying the neroli. I bought the hand cream and it had the same intensity that captivated me. A catalog jewel, a classic award-winning perfume for a reason; Olivier Cresp already said it all. Their other versions didn’t even come close; they set the bar very high. I’ll be back for it one day.
It was a blind buy and I have no regrets. It smells fresh, floral, with a predominance of freesia and neroli. It’s a daytime perfume that lasts quite a while.
My favorite Avon perfume and almost the only one I like from the brand. It’s exquisite, and once I put it on, I can’t stop smelling my wrist; it’s super addictive. It’s a very special white floral with uncommon notes like cactus, buddleja, and bird of paradise. The neroli, freesia, and orange blossom stand out, with the cactus at the start, but the whole ensemble smells unique. Highly recommended; the trail is medium and the longevity is very good on my skin.
One of the best white floral scents I’ve ever smelled. Literally smells like a garden of white flowers. It’s beautiful and the bottle is heavy and elegant, perfectly reflecting what it is: powerful but classy.
Absolutely gorgeous. I don’t keep any perfume on my skin for long, but this one does, and for a good while. It has a huge trail; people noticed it from two meters away even with a mask on. It’s Avon’s compliment champion. I see it as youthful, for teens and young girls :3
One of my favorites from Avon. You can tell they dominate white flowers and it lasts forever. Simply delicious, fresh but intense, ultra-feminine. I love it.
Today is a classic white floral with a touch of cactus. More than musk, it smells a bit bitter, like soap, but very elegant. Sober for special occasions. Trail and projection are medium; it lasts about 5 or 6 hours on skin and longer on clothes. The bottle is a beautiful simple piece. For lovers of neroli.
It’s a luxurious bouquet of white flowers, super sophisticated for a mature woman. Just be careful because in the heat it can get a bit overwhelming. Ideal for semi-formal events.
I love its scent. On the opening, I notice the jasmine and neroli, then the rest of the notes settle over a very clean aquatic base. It’s what evokes cleanliness for me. Even after wearing it for several hours, it still projects. It has excellent sillage and longevity. It’s true that depending on pH and skin type, it creates extra nuances, but it always keeps the same base structure. Very interesting.
Today by Avon (2004): a delight. It comes out super subtle with freesia, then lets you be enveloped by jasmine and neroli. For me, it’s one of the lightest and most harmonious nerolis out there—nothing of those voluptuous, heavy ones. It’s a 2000s neroli accord. A composition worthy of its 2005 FiFi award. The aquatic notes add transparency to the refined floral bouquet. I don’t notice the rose, but the rest of the flowers, with all due respect (pure marketing). It has a beautiful musky base with a very subtle touch of cedar.
Totally floral; the jasmine is very noticeable. It’s like Tous Gold but softer, less penetrating, and fresher. I just started collecting Avon perfumes, and even though these white florals aren’t my usual style, I recognize it’s a good purchase: elegant, not invasive, and long-lasting (one spray lasts about 6 hours on skin, though projection is low).
Delicious! Very prominent white floral notes with incredible persistence on skin and clothes. Ideal for daytime and early sunny spring afternoons. I’m wearing it right now, and I’ll be buying another soon because I know they’re going to discontinue it, just like they did with ‘Tomorrow’ from the same line. What a shame, because they’re exquisite and the scent still sounds very current.
Avon jackpot. Projection, sillage, and longevity are all 10/10. It’s a white floral with character: clean, neat, feminine, and delicate, but with a creamy touch that wraps around you and makes you look great. A true delight for the nose. It breaks the prejudice that catalog perfumes are inferior; I adore them. At this price and accessibility, it’s a gift that never fails. Carpe diem.
I bought it recently because I was drawn to the notes; I love florals, neroli, and jasmine. It has great reviews and even won an award. Honestly, I think it has a lot of hype. I was excited, but I didn’t love it as much as I thought. It’s not that I don’t like it; it smells delicious. But I’ve already smelled something similar: a Miniso perfume called Charming Jasmine that sounds super close to Today. It feels like a slightly less sophisticated copy (it’s pure jasmine) but very similar at a lower price, around 60 MXN, though with less longevity. P.S. It would be cool if Miniso fragrances were in your database; they’re accessible and well-made, at least in my opinion.
One of my favorites, without a doubt. The blend of jasmine, freesia, and that green touch—probably the cactus—makes it unique, fresh yet intense, ultra-feminine. Perfect for any time of day and all year round.

I LOVE IT! It brings me so many childhood memories. My mom is a perfume fanatic and passed down her taste for white florals and aquatic scents. I remember the first time I smelled Today in a magazine; it flooded me with nostalgia because my mom wore it when she launched it. I bought it once and never stopped. This perfume is my signature scent; if I had to define myself in an aroma, I’d say Today by Avon is definitely me. I love it too much.
Today is a shameless clone of Armani’s My Way. How? Today is from 2004 and My Way is from 2020. It’s not new; it’s that sharp neroli I remember from the 80s, maybe an Avon body mist, those that stick in your memory. If asked if I’d buy My Way, the answer is no—I won’t pay for something that smells like so many things, just a bit more intense. Instead, I would buy Today to get the scent; it lasts well and isn’t expensive. Watch out for who composed Today; that’s when I realized why Avon had quality and style back then.
This perfume reminds me of my mom and an English teacher who would leave her scent all over the room; it smells so good. I feel it smells like a lady, but with class and elegance. I wear it when I want to project a formal image. I love it for winter; in other seasons, it overwhelms me a lot, but it’s a great fragrance.
What did they do to Today? The new reformulation is a disaster. It doesn’t project even after five minutes, and you can’t smell it anymore. What a shame, a perfume that always projected and received compliments, lasting on the skin and on clothes for days. Another disappointment.
Did they reformulate it? It’s totally different from the original. It used to be my favorite, but it coincided with a love stage I wanted to get over, so I moved away from anything that reminded me of the past. My sister bought one, and to my surprise, it’s not the same. Before, it was a powerful white flower bomb; now, as my mom says, it’s washed out. The woody note appears quickly. It’s not ugly, but for those who love the original version, it’s pointless.
It’s the scent of my mom’s friend; she always wears it. At first, it seemed like a mystery to me: a bouquet of orange blossom with the creaminess of neroli, a bit sweet. It doesn’t have a great trail, but when you get close for a hug or a kiss, there it is.
Pure jasmine and woods; it’s exquisite. The projection is brutal for the first two hours, then it drops to a more personal enjoyment. After about 8 hours, I can only smell it right up against my skin. For the price, it’s excellent.
I bought it to support a friend’s garage sale and I was impressed. I love the scent of neroli with freesia and orange blossom. It’s floral but fresh and woody. It’s not heavy; it has an amber and animalic touch. It smells vintage but more wearable. I loved it and will try the other scents in the line. For me, it lasts all year; I’m a fan of strong scents.
As someone else mentioned below, it smells a lot like My Way. I own both, and if they’re similar, Today is my favorite from Avon. It’s fresh, floral, and a delight. It lasts about 6 to 8 hours. You don’t need to spend a lot to get quality; you just have to look hard for it.
If you want a migraine crisis, this is the perfume for you.
At first, it gave me a headache; it was very strong. I tried it again years later and I’m not sure if it’s softer now or if my sense of smell changed, but I like it now. I wouldn’t wear it daily, just for going out. It’s very feminine with jasmines and clear neroli.
It’s another perfume, but my mom gave it to me years ago, and it smells like her. It’s gorgeous, unique, and super long-lasting. It reminds me of spring with fresh flowers. I’d wear it more at night or when going out because it lasts so long.
