Antoine Lie
Antoine Lie is a well-known perfumer from France who has made significant contributions to the fragrance industry. He was born in Strasbourg, France, where he studied chemistry before pursuing his passion for fragrances. Antoine moved to Grasse to study fragrances under the tutelage of Jean Carles, a famous perfumer. After completing his apprenticeship with Jean Guichard, Antoine spent some time in France and the United States, where he took part in the creation of popular fragrances such as Armani Code and Versace Crystal Noir.
Antoine’s desire for greater creative freedom led him to niche perfume houses, where he could express his own unique vision of fragrances. He became a renegade for the fragrance producer Givaudan and later worked for Takasago as Senior VP perfumer. Antoine is currently the founder and perfumer of ALOE - Antoine Lie Olfactive Experience in Paris.
Antoine has contributed to several perfume brands such as Etat Libre d'Orange, oneofthose and Nu Be, where he created fragrances that were unconventional and direct. His creations have been known for featuring a unique combination of materials such as vetiver, leather, iris, sandalwood, vinyl, metal and ether.
Antoine’s love of perfumery has led him to work on new and exciting projects, such as creating bespoke fragrances for brands and individuals, advising on perfume development, and specializing in the olfactory identity of brands. Antoine is committed to innovation in perfumery and is passionate about research and the extraction of new raw materials for fragrances.
