Rabanne's Fame Parfum is a fruity-floral-gourmand fragrance for women. Launched in 2023, this composition was created by Alberto Morillas, Dora Baghriche, and Marie Salamagne. The top notes unfold with mango, bergamot, and pink pepper; the heart reveals jasmine, incense, and patchouli; while the base notes settle on benzoin, sandalwood, musk, and Helvetolida.

I tested it in-store, and it’s identical to the first one, except this one makes me feel it more. I applied it to the back of my hand, and with every movement, I felt an aromatic breeze. At first, I don’t smell mango; it’s a bit alcoholic, but after half an hour, the mango appears along with the sandalwood. It’s pretty; I don’t feel incense or resins, and I fear my subconscious is a victim of marketing into believing it’s more long-lasting. To be honest, I think it’s the same, blatantly identical, just in a black bottle. I’m unsure if I should add it to my wishlist.
I tried it in-store and have to say it’s identical to the first one. The only difference is that this one makes me feel it even more… I sprayed it on the back of my left hand, and with every movement, I felt an aromatic breeze. In the opening, I don’t sense the mango; it’s somewhat alcoholic…, but after half an hour, the mango 🥭 appears along with the sandalwood. It’s pretty; I don’t sense the incense or resins at all, and I fear my subconscious is a victim of marketing, believing it’s more long-lasting and intense. To be honest, I think it’s the same now, blatantly identical, just in a black bottle. I’m unsure whether to add it to my wishlist or not…
Finally got mine! The new twist is that it’s now a PARFUM, offering more intensity and longevity. This one lasts 3 to 4 hours; compared to the previous two, it sticks around “forever” 😅 and smells stronger. Nothing spectacular, but there is definitely a difference. The old ones, being eau de parfums, only lasted about an hour.
Third time’s the charm. A summer perfume that smells great, like milky mango and jasmine. Without a doubt, the best of the three Fames in quality. You can tell it has a soft to moderate trail and lasts about 2 to 3 hours. I like it a lot, but I’ll stick with my Marc Jacobs Daisy Ever So Fresh, which has citrus mango and additionally rose and cashmere.
This perfume is more intense than the original Fame. I love both, but in the original, I don’t feel the mango, just lots of bergamot; here, the mango is much more pronounced. The sandalwood, resins, and incense make it perfect for night, especially on cold days.
It’s a work of art, powerful, and lasts a long time. It evokes a party and screams ‘let’s go,’ standing out wonderfully. I’ve loved it. Since I also own the Silver Suit Fame, which I see more for daily wear in summer and spring, this one completes my collection for autumn and winter. With both, you’re recognizable by your scent: they’re similar but with different intensity and reach. It smells sophisticated and modern, with complexity in blending the clean and fruity with the musky and talcum-like. The mango reminds me of pineapple or sweet, juicy tropical fruits. There are also flowers like jasmine and rose, almost hidden, just like the woods and a velvet-like note similar to cashmere.
This smells stronger than the original Fame. Of course, I love both, but in the original, I don’t notice the mango; there, bergamot dominates. In the Parfum, the mango is much more pronounced. The sandalwood, resins, and incense make it perfect for night, especially on cold nights :3
At first, the bergamot and mango make it fresh, sweet, creamy, and fruity; the mango stands out much more than in the original. In the heart, the jasmine is sweeter and more fragrant thanks to the mango, without overpowering it. As it dries, the creamy mango combines with sandalwood; the dry-down is more prominent than in the original. It lasts between 5 hours and 30 minutes with moderate projection.
It’s rich. It smells like clean clothes to me, though I’m not sure if that’s just my perception. And the longevity is very good.
Incredibly rich aroma, perfect for cold weather and autumn. It’s the perfect balance between fresh and sweet. Starts citrusy, then incense, and finally the mango blends with sandalwood to create a creamy, sweet touch. It makes me feel clean and cozy, like a safe place. It’s become my favorite of 2024; it’s addictive. You have to try it to believe it—I recommend buying it blind. It’s exquisite, and I won’t get tired of it.
You wouldn’t believe it, but it can be hit or miss. However, it has an incredible trail that lasts for days and projects meters away. Stop giving opinions based on olfactory fatigue and asking hours later if it still smells. Don’t trash perfumes by saying nonsense just because you can’t smell anything.
This is an amazing scent, definitely for cold weather and autumn; for me, it’s the perfect balance between fresh and sweet. At first, I sensed citrus, then a light touch of incense emerged, and that’s when the mango appeared. It was incredible to notice the notes! The mango blended with the sandalwood; that woody touch made it creamy, something sweet but rich that made me feel good, clean, and wrapped up, like a safe place. It definitely became my favorite of 2024; it’s addictive to smell. I’ve read many reviews, but nothing beats checking it out for yourself; I think I’d recommend buying it blind—it’s exquisite and I don’t think I’ll get tired of it.
It’s an exquisite fragrance, but unfortunately, I don’t like feeling so much musk because it smells like shampoo to me. However, for lovers of clean-scented perfumes, this is a fantastic one.
My mom gave this to me, and at first I thought it was a men’s scent, but after testing it properly, I fell in love. Dry down is super fruity and woody—a exquisite, delicate mango that gives off a feminine, sweet, and innocent vibe. It lasted 7-8 hours on my skin and more than two days on clothes, which is great longevity. My mom never misses; all her gifts are unforgettable, and I adore this one.
I received this as a birthday gift. At first, I thought it smelled somewhat masculine upon application, just testing it on my wrist. Since I couldn’t return it because the box was already opened, I wore it anyway. Then, after several sprays, I fell in love, especially with the dry down: it smells super fruity yet woody at the same time. I’ve never had a perfume smell like mango with such sophistication! It’s a delicate scent with feminine vibes—sweet, innocent, and playful. A great discovery. It lasted about 7-8 hours on my skin and more than two days on my clothes; for me, that’s good performance. My mother never misses, all her gifts are unforgettable, and I’m loving this one a lot.
In my opinion, it boils down to coconut. You can tell that tropical, summery vibe. It could work well in any season or time of day. I think it’s an informal fragrance. But I believe there are much cheaper options if you just want to smell like coconut.
Super tropical perfume; the mango is much more prominent than in the original Silver Dress version. This one lasts many more hours on the skin; the aroma is rich and very versatile. I’m wearing it during winter days, but it will surely look great on summer nights. Plus, the bottle is gorgeous.
I’m in love with this perfume; a clean, fresh, and sweet scent with a milky mango that really stands out. It’s elegant and versatile, with great longevity.
It’s hilarious. A nearly 100€ perfume that smells like multi-fruit juice. Every time I smell it, I’m transported back in time to when my mom was setting the table with tomato macaroni and a glass of juice while watching The Simpsons. Although, with a touch of luxury and glamour, lol. Don’t get the wrong idea; it smells super delicious, not heavy, almost clean and fresh. It makes me want to wear it both in the morning and when I go out or stay home. It’s VERY versatile. The scent is VERY rich but lacks a bit of spark, precisely because it’s so fresh and clean. The trail is good, but the longevity on my skin is shorter than it should be. In my opinion, it’s worth having for daily wear, even.
It smells a lot of mango at first, but after 10-15 minutes, I notice the jasmine without losing the mango. It smells good at first, but sometimes it reminds me of gas… It’s very weird; I first thought it smelled rich, then that gas scent hit me, but intensely. I even noticed it on my skin after leaving. I’m not sure why; I guess it’s my nose. However, once it dries down, that smell goes away and it feels creamier. Personally, I didn’t like it; it’s too intense, sweet, and has that strange gas-like note…
In the dry down, the opening smells very much like mango; after 10-15 minutes, I start sensing the jasmine, but without losing the perception of mango. At first, it smells good, but sometimes it reminds me of the smell of gas… It’s very strange; I first thought it smelled rich, then that gas smell, but intense! I applied it to my skin and still perceive it after the opening. I don’t know what’s causing it; I imagine it’s my sense of smell… However, in the dry down, that smell fades, and it feels more creamy. Personally, I didn’t like it; it’s very intense, sweet, and has that strange smell…
I bought this blind because the bottle looked cool. It’s quite an intense perfume; the opening with its woody scent made me wonder if it was as summery as they claimed, until I tried it on a cold night and woooow. The incense, musk, and wood exploded in full force. Plus, it has extensive longevity; my clothes still smelled the next day. Definitely, as an autumn/winter perfume, it’s wonderful.
I bought it blind because the bottle looked cool. It’s quite an intense perfume; the spray smelled so much like wood that I doubted if it was as summery as they claimed, until I tried it on a cold night and woooow. The frankincense, musk, and wood exploded in full force. With extensive longevity, my clothes still smelled the next day. Definitely a wonderful autumn/winter perfume.
Smells great, though it’s not among my favorites. Many people say it smells amazing and ask what perfume it is. It feels sexy yet elegant at the same time. I love wearing it in winter, especially at night. It’s an intense and very distinctive scent. If you’re comfortable wearing it at 100%, I highly recommend it; however, if you prefer to be more subtle, you might feel uncomfortable because it’s very noticeable.
A very rich fragrance where frankincense and mango really stand out. I prefer wearing it at night or in the cold. Even though it’s good, the longevity isn’t what I’m looking for; I had to reapply it twice in one night (I like to smell strong and leave a trail), and this just doesn’t do that. Compared to the Fame (Silver Dress), I lean more toward the Fame: they smell very similar, almost identical, but the Fame lasts longer and has better projection. In short, it’s good, except the frankincense fades quickly and the mango is the same as in the Fame.
Yup, mango again. As usual, a 10/10 on projection and longevity.
Mango and sandalwood. It strikes me as very similar to the original, but with a creamy wood note that makes it more nocturnal and mature. It feels less childish; I’ve received tons of compliments. The longevity is decent, lasting about 6 to 7 hours. I love wearing it with black clothes; it elevates the whole look, giving off a slightly sexy vibe. It definitely draws compliments—it’s a gorgeous scent, though you have to really like the sandalwood to pull it off.
