Descripción

Wild Candy by Mancera is an oriental fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2015, this composition was created by perfumer Pierre Montale. The top notes unfold with fruity aromas, chocolate, bergamot, and lemon, accented by a touch of zesty lime. The heart reveals the presence of frangipani, alongside plumeria, plumaria, and atapaima, accompanied by Turkish rose. To finish, the base notes offer a warm, enveloping blend of vanilla, white musk, guaiac wood, sandalwood, and salt.

  • So rich! Wild Candy is sweet, creamy, and velvety, with no shouty notes. Its evolution is linear and smells like luxurious body cream with little fruits, frangipani, milk chocolate, and coconut, all whipped like a mousse. It’s a light, distant chocolate. Maybe the frangipani and musk create that exotic yet cheerful sensation. I’d wear it during the day, while eating, or at work; it’s not elegant, but it’s fun and easy. It’s great for winter, autumn, or fresh spring days. It has brutal sillage and lasts about 11 hours. I love it, although on one friend it smells like chocolate and on another it has an acidic touch that I don’t sense. It varies depending on the skin. Scent: 8/10, Sillage: 9/10, Longevity: 9/10.

At first, I thought it was a summer scent, but its opening is more tropical due to the fruits and coconut; it reminds me of the beach. However, as it dries down, it becomes sweet without being cloying and stays very linear. It smells like a cappuccino with vanilla and a hint of coconut, hard to define. In winter, it’s a delight: with the cold, people smell it from meters away, and I can still feel it all day, even the next day. It lasts forever on clothes, even after washing scarves. I’m not bothered by this sweetness because very sweet perfumes give me headaches.

  • I have a small vial (I don’t want to go bankrupt, haha). It’s very pleasant, but it doesn’t fit my personality. It’s sweet, highlighting the fruity chocolate pushed by the frangipani. It’s for cold days, with high longevity and noticeable sillage. Maybe I’m just going crazy, but it’s sexy, sexual, for wild occasions. A definite no for everyday use. 6/10.

  • Unfortunately, it’s not long-lasting on my skin. I’ve given it several chances and I’m glad I only have a decant: it disappears after 3 hours and becomes a skin scent. I love the blend and I detect a subtle, delicious chocolate that complements it well. I think it’s attractive for daily wear in any season, but I don’t like that it fades so quickly. It’s not the first time a Mancera has vanished on my skin. I recommend testing before buying blind, because the value might not suit your taste.

  • I wanted to own it because I adore my Manceras. The citrus, frangipani, vanilla, and salt really come through. It smells similar to Coco Vanille, but more citrusy, fresh, and salty. It didn’t surprise me, but I’m head over heels for Mancera thanks to their brutal longevity and projection.

  • I like it a lot. Despite comparisons, it feels more complex than other tropical floral-vanilla scents. It’s not elegant, but it’s high quality, relaxed, and informal. The opening isn’t alcoholic; it’s delicious and almost edible, smelling like Nutella and chocolate with nuts. Then, by magic, it develops tropical floral nuances with lots of frangipani, the star of the show. In the end, it’s very musky. In summer, I notice more of the tropical side; in winter, the creamy side. It’s versatile: cozy in the cold and delicious in spring or summer nights. It has good projection and lasts about 10 hours. It’s cheerful, well-blended, and for informal situations where you want quality. It’s not groundbreaking or seductive, but it’s for enjoying without pretensions. Bottle with a screw cap. Scent 8.5/10, Longevity 10/10, Sillage 8/10, Value 7/10, Versatility 8/10, Packaging 7.5/10. Would I buy it again? Yes.

  • I agree with the good reviews. It’s hard to describe: like chocolate fondue and fruits, a fancy body cream. I bought it blind and at first, it left me cold, no fireworks. Over time, I’ve grown to like it; it’s different and delightful, but it’s not my favorite from the house. I expected more chocolate; I only noticed it at the beginning. It’s like a body mousse: expensive, sexy, but in its dry-down, it’s very similar to Velvet Vanille due to the characteristic overdose of musk. Is it worth owning both? Yes, if you enjoy hyper-sweet scents that are different at the start but the same at the end. I feel this one is more natural than Velvet, though less potent than Wild Candy. I enjoy it at a good price, but I wouldn’t repurchase because it doesn’t ‘kill’ me. It’s not gourmand due to the sweet, fruity musk in the dry-down. There are better ones from this house.

  • I agree with the previous reviews. It’s hard to describe: it’s like chocolate fondue and fruits, an expensive body cream. I bought it blind, and at first it left me cold, no fireworks. Over time, I’ve grown to like it; it’s different from what I’m used to and delightful, although it’s not my favorite from the Mancera house. I expected more chocolate, but I barely noticed it at first. It’s like a mousse for the body, expensive, sexy, and different. As it dries, it takes time to arrive but resembles Velvet Vanille due to the typical Mancera overdose of musk. Is it worth having both? Yes, if you enjoy hyper-sweet aromas, although they are different at the start and middle, but the same at the end. I feel this one is more natural than Velvet, which is a beast in longevity, but more synthetic than Wild Candy. I bought it at a good price and I’m not complaining. They say it’s winter due to the sweetness, and it is, but it’s also an exotic summer cocktail for night. Good projection and longevity, but nothing compared to my Coco Vanille, which is a final delight of vanilla soufflé and white flowers. I have many milliliters left to decide if I’ll repurchase, but I predict no, because it doesn’t kill me personally. Others don’t seem to find it gourmand either, probably due to the sweet and fruity musk in the dry down. There are better ones from this house to discover.

  • Don’t bother with the YouTube hype. If you already own several Manceras, it won’t clash, but if this is your first Mancera, don’t go for this one. Unless you find it on sale for 80 bucks, don’t even think about it. There are better options. Of the ones I own: Velvet Vanille is the beast, Roses Vanille is more elegant with more rose, and the underrated Coco Vanille is the best for me. Choco Violet smells like wheat and cereal later on. Once you’re in with this house, there’s no going back, but there are some misses. I know it’s hard to try them, but don’t get fooled; read reviews and test them out.

  • Beautiful. On my skin, it smells like Coco Vanille with iris. Sillage and longevity are medium-low, but the scent is incredibly delicious.

  • Wow, this is rich! At the opening, the frangipani is strong and reminds me of Yves Rocher’s Monoi; in 5 seconds it changes to a Butterfinger-style chocolate with salted peanut butter that lasts 3-5 minutes. Then the fruity notes come out mixed with rose, vanilla, sandalwood, and musk. For now, I don’t smell coconut. It’s a rich little sweetness, nothing cloying. Since I hate sweet perfumes, this doesn’t bother me much. It’s not the big deal due to its simplicity, like a Will Smith song, but it is tasty. Later I’ll update on its behavior and longevity. I tested it with 7 sprays: it’s a pleasant and feminine scent, and I still don’t perceive the coconut. Longevity: my 2021 bottle didn’t last long, about 4 hours. Sillage and projection: low for the first hour, then skin scent. The scent is pleasant, but I think it’s not worth it because it’s simple and easy to find, plus it projects almost nothing. My 2021 bottle will cost me letting it macerate for a few months to see what happens. I’ll update again if I see changes.

  • First impression! Wow, it’s delicious 🥹. At first, it smells like strong frangipani, kind of like Yves Rocher’s MONOI, and within 5 seconds it shifts to a Butterfinger-style chocolate with roasted peanut butter that lasts 3-5 minutes. Then come the fruits, rose, vanilla, sandalwood, and musk. I don’t detect coconut. It’s a tasty little treat, not overly cloying. Since I hate sweet perfumes, I like this one because it’s not that sweet. It’s not a big deal due to its simplicity; it smells like a catalog entry, but it’s as good as the Will Smith song. I tested it with 7 sprays: pleasant and feminine scent, but I didn’t perceive any coconut. Poor longevity, about 4 hours. Low sillage and projection, barely skin-scent after the first hour. I think it’s not worth it for a simple scent you can get cheaper. I’ll update again if it muddies more.

  • Out of all the Manceras, this is the one I use the least. It’s rich, but it dries down quickly with tons of musk. It’s very similar to Velvet Vanille, though the latter is sweeter, more special, and playful. I’ll definitely stick with Velvet.

  • Pure summer scent: coconut, frangipani, and a sweet chocolate that makes it unique. It’s not overpowering or legendary, but it’s beautiful, creamy, and wonderful to wear. The chocolate really makes the difference. Lasts 4 to 5 hours.
