Sicily by Mancera

I was really excited about this perfume, and while it’s not bad, it didn’t meet my expectations. The quality and longevity are top-notch, but I was disappointed that it’s so feminine; I was hoping for something unisex and more neutral, suitable for any age or gender. From the first spray, it smells like very feminine perfumes, so it works well for a woman with an elegant and fresh touch, though it feels a bit generic, like something I’ve smelled before. A friend gave it exactly that ‘lady’s perfume’ vibe. However, the longevity and projection are excellent, making it ideal for hot weather.

It’s very potent. At first, it smells synthetic, but you immediately notice the quality. Then, on my skin, it’s a blend of peach, lemon, and apple, perfect for the heat. It lasts a ridiculous amount of time! I specifically looked for this for summer. It’s very similar to Guerlain’s Granite Pear, but this one is less sweet and a bit more citrusy.

I was gifted this a while ago. Pure venom. Lemon with apricot that sticks hard. More synthetic than a Blade Runner replicant.

The first time I smelled it, in the middle of summer, it seemed identical to Omnia Indian Garnet in the dry-down: peach and hyper-vitaminized orange, with a soft floral musky touch. In short, it smells like expensive shampoo. It also has a hint of pineapple, which I hate in perfumes. Trying it on a cold spring day, it still has that shampoo smell, but without the pineapple. There are differences: the opening is more citrusy, but it settles into a pleasant, feminine peach scent that doesn’t bother anyone. Although it’s not my type (I find it too fruity), I think it’s a good unisex all-rounder leaning feminine if you like this style, ideal for spring or summer. It’s fruity but not fresh. Medium projection for the first 2 hours and skin scent for the next 8. @vodkatonic, it doesn’t resemble Cacharel’s Eau d’Eden other than being fruity. Pleasant: 6/10, Interesting: 4/10, Versatile: 6/10, Original: 6/10.

Today, with 34 degrees in Málaga, I tried Sicily. It’s my first wear and the opening gave me a huge joy. It reminded me of my childhood at the beach, opening those famous lime and lemon calipos. It’s a youthful perfume that lifts your mood to the max and gives a fresh sensation. Its longevity is pretty good for a citrus, and the sillage is high during the first hour.

I love it. It’s unisex, a non-strident citrus-fruity scent that’s super pleasant to wear and smell, with excellent fixation and longevity. Ideal for spring and summer, although I wear it in autumn and winter too from time to time because it has enough power to withstand the cold. It’s going into my must-haves.

It’s a super rich fragrance, like citrus with sugar if that even exists. It’s bitter and sweet at the same time. It throws a bomb of citrus wrapped in something sweet without being cloying. I love it, lasts hours, and in the end you get floral notes, but I perceive it as citrusy-fruity. It’s adorable for heat, but I’ve worn it in the cold too and it shines because the sweet touch keeps it from feeling as icy as other citrus scents.

I tried it in a decant and it smells great, very sweet, long-lasting, and projects a lot. To me, it feels 90% feminine, but it’s a gem… perfect for your wife.

Even though it reminds me of shampoo… I love it.

I bought a decant and fell in love the moment I smelled it; it’s the best citrus I’ve ever tried. Notes of grapefruit, jasmine, and Mancera’s typical musk are very prominent. It’s summery, fresh, and energizing, like a summer morning. I ended up buying the 120 ml bottle.

I loved this perfume. On my skin, it smells very similar to Hermès Jardin Sur Le Toit but with incredible longevity and sillage. Wonderful!

The opening is fruity, fresh, and citrusy: oranges, lemon, and a touch of apple. But it doesn’t last long, and in the end, only the lemon scent remains. I need to test it more, but for now, this is my take.
