Tonka Cola by Mancera

I gave it 2 stars because the cinnamon doesn’t bother me as much as I expected, even though I usually hate it. The Coke note is there, but it smells like it’s gone bad 😖. The only saving grace is the longevity and sillage, and wow, the oil is incredible, so spray it from a distance.

Smells like flat Coca-Cola. Nothing else. I don’t detect cherry, cinnamon, or anything else, just Coke that I left in the fridge three hours ago with the cap loose.

Want a cologne that people love, that stands out, and that makes them ask what it is? It’s this one. Great for night out and dates, to turn heads and please everyone. In my opinion, it doesn’t break the mold we’re used to with perfumes, but it has something sexy, like the smell of a Coca-Cola lollipop, but add cherry and cinnamon; those last two notes play an incredible role in the fragrance. For me, it’s definitely in the top 3 of Mancera.

Kudos to Mancera for launching this type of fragrance; nothing like what’s on the market. It opens with an effervescent Coke note accompanied by a very prominent lemon. As it dries down, it fixes the cinnamon, nutmeg, and more spices. After 5 or 6 hours, the dry down is a sweet and sour lemon, ugh. It has more sharpness in its notes when used at night or on very fresh mornings.

I bought it blind since I love spicy perfumes and it was a total hit. Sweet cinnamon with touches of lemon sweetened by cherry, that’s all in the opening; then you feel a Coke with lemon and spicy notes, at least I can sense some fizziness. It’s delicious, long-lasting, but you have to be careful with sprays in enclosed spaces. It’s not for everyone. But if you like spicy, sweet, and unique, it might be for you.

The most special fragrance I’ve ever smelled. I don’t own it right now, but it’s unique, complex, playful, and serious all at once. It’s one of those perfumes that makes you think for a long time. If you get the chance, buy it; I regret not having it yet.

Explosive opening that wonderfully evokes the fizz of Coca-Cola, with citrus, nutmeg, and cinnamon, dressing up a delicious cherry. It’s deceptive because the start seems youthful and feminine, but as it dries, it becomes serious and unisex. Good perfume with many twists, even with a smoky, spicy touch. Regarding performance, I’m quite disappointed; I expected more, though I wear it in summer over 30 degrees. I’ll have to try it in colder, more humid climates.

Smells like those sweets sold in Chile called ‘Media hora’. More than Coca-Cola, it’s very similar to that candy; it’s equally delicious and striking, maybe usable for a party in weather that’s neither too cold nor too hot. Good perfume. 8.5/10.

Tonka Cola: Opening: A sweet and sharp burst of cherry, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Heart: The initial blend lives up to its name, featuring a powerful, very indulgent, and fun note of Coca-Cola. Dry Down: The final stage is defined by a Coca-Cola note that gradually becomes slightly resinous and clean. Projection and Longevity: Projection lasts about 4-5 hours, with longevity around 8 hours. Conclusion: Sharp, sweet, and sparkling… incredibly fun! It’s a supremely festive fragrance that invites you to walk under the sun and go to the beach to end up at a night party. The Coca-Cola note is very realistic and exquisite, giving way to a slightly resinous and clean finish that prevents it from being cloying (which is a relief). Rarely do I write with such enthusiasm about a sweet perfume, but I have to admit that Tonka Cola has hooked me and fallen in love with it.

On the other hand, I was hoping for a fresher, fizzier cola scent. Does it smell like cola? Yes, but more like cola candies (think Selz) and old-fashioned sarsaparilla. Then it carries a touch of Mancera’s Lemon Line and high doses of cinnamon. I haven’t disliked it at all. It’s a good fragrance with great performance, original and fun; I’m sure many people will love it… simply it’s not my favorite tea (or cola 😉).

For me, this fragrance starts with a strong chemical cola and cherry smell, like washing a cheap candy with a can of Dr. Pepper. After 10 minutes, the cola fades and gives way to warm, spicy nutmeg. Almost simultaneously, a strong benzoin emerges, enveloping you in a cloud of incense that reminds me of an Orthodox church with a priest lighting incense. Over time, the aroma transports me to a place of luxury where everything smells of ‘status’. The fragrance’s life ends with the fading of the notes, supported by vanilla and tonka bean. Unfortunately, I didn’t feel the interplay of cinnamon and patchouli; for me, they simply weren’t there. P.S.: Longevity on my skin is excellent, almost 8 hours strong and another 4 hours of fading scent.

A carefree fragrance that delivers on its promise, although its real name should be Cinnamon-Cola: an exquisite, spiced cola candy scent. It’s a bit flat but has great harmony. Too bad it doesn’t stand out in projection or sillage, as the aroma is addictive, but buying Mancera no longer guarantees a bomb. If it had more body, it would be a 10; it’s an excellent signature scent, but it just lacks punch.

I like it; the opening is Ceylon or Cassia cinnamon (spicy) with Coca-Cola sweets and cherry. After the initial hit, it leaves a scent of Coca-Cola and cherry with lots of vanilla and tonka bean sweetness. It’s playful, ideal for daily wear in cool-weather climates, better for night. The downside is that the cinnamon feels synthetic, detracting from its value. Worth it. With more experience, the opening is Coca-Cola gummies, cherry, spicy cinnamon, and Sicilian lemon, but as it dries down, the cinnamon dominates, with a creamy patchouli, tonka bean, vanilla, and benzoin resin. Definitely for autumn and winter.

Smells like cold cherry Coca-Cola, projects quite well, and lasts a long time. If you have money for just one perfume and are looking for something for everything, don’t go for this, but if you’re a collector or like curiosities, get it in your collection, at least the 50 ml.

Spiced Coca-Cola, the cinnamon is noticeable. The cherry stays in the background. Unisex fragrance. I only spray 2 times and it works well for me. It gives the vibe of Zara’s Sand Desert. If you like this or Khamra, Tonka Cola is a blind buy. If Instans Crush is the inspiration for Baccarat Rouge, Tonka Cola is the inspiration for Ángel Share (same vibe).
