Amore Caffè by Mancera

Exquisite gourmand scent with a coffee top note and a sweet vanilla base. An excellent choice for cold days.

The coffee note lasts only a few minutes; afterward, the fragrance transforms into a vanilla essence. The projection is moderate, and I feel there are many similar options on the market.

I expected a much stronger and more prominent coffee note, but the sweet notes take over almost entirely. That’s not necessarily bad; the scent ends up like a cajeta frappuccino with whipped cream: super sweet but very delicious.

It’s a very rich fragrance, leaning unisex but slightly feminine. The notes are well-blended; that liquor, coffee, and amber base make it smell like perfume, not melted affogato. It’s not what I look for in a coffee scent: too sweet for my taste. Performance is moderate (sillage and longevity) for the current price, but I think it’s fine—this with steroids would surely cloy and lose the finesse of being a Mancera (I’ve read there are Arab dupes with these characteristics). If you like sweet scents but not overly gourmand and cloying for all-day wear, go ahead, this is it.

It’s a very good fragrance and great for the price. It leans more toward amaretto than coffee; quite honestly, it doesn’t smell much like coffee, but it’s very rich and sweet. It’s like a coffee and amaretto dessert, but with more amaretto than coffee. Rating: 8.5/10.

I ordered a decant and I’m disappointed. The opening is an overwhelming amaretto, and since I don’t love that note much, I thought it would recede, but here it dominates the coffee. I’m hoping it mellows out in the dry down, because right now it’s too strong.

The concept is good, but the coffee notes don’t last at all, and in the end, it smells like vanilla cake and caramel, which can get cloying. Still, it’s one of the gourmands I enjoy the most. Those five minutes of coffee and amaretto are magical.

It’s definitely tricky to wear. It doesn’t evolve; it smells cloying and heavy the whole time. I have to spray my finger first and then apply small touches, otherwise, I can’t even stand it. It feels synthetic, like concentrated coffee candies to no end. There are better options; Qawha does what Amore Caffè doesn’t.

Mancera usually makes bold, sometimes excessive fragrances. This perfume is like a dessert that seems like a good idea but ends up cloying and leaves you craving water. It starts promising, like a freshly made Italian espresso, but then the brown sugar crashes in like a bull in a china shop, dominating everything and turning the fragrance into a disaster. It’s a gourmet coffee ruined by ten spoonfuls of sugar. It’s as if they spilled caramel syrup on the espresso and it’s worse with an eternal duration that clings to your skin like a bad decision. The sweet aftertaste lingers. The coffee and pepper notes get eclipsed by the sugar. If you want to smell like coffee cake, go ahead, you’ll pay too much and end up with a hyper-sugared frappuccino. YIKES!

In Colombia we have sweets called Coffee Delight and this perfume smells like that, a bit more alcoholic. It’s a delight, on a rainy cold day it feels like a hug and brings back good childhood memories. My only complaint is the dry down: after a few hours, the coffee disappears and leaves a brown sugar that’s a bit flat and annoying. For cold days when you invite your partner for Netflix and chill, it works wonderfully.

It’s like stumbling into 200 kilos of affogato and diving right in. If you don’t want to smell like this, don’t miss out. Powerful scent, great trail, and long-lasting. Almond, coffee, and vanilla notes, but the coffee is more of a sugary touch than an intense one. Vanilla is the star, with that ‘ice cream cookie’ vibe. It’s delicious, but ideal for smelling on someone else or in a bakery for 5 minutes, not for all day. Be careful in the heat; too many sprays can make you dizzy.

Sweet coffee opening that lasts for hours before leaving just vanilla and a faint coffee touch. It didn’t feel like anything new, very similar to many perfumes on the market. It’s rich and I like it, but I wouldn’t buy it. Normal projection and it lasts well.

Finally tried this Amore Caffe. First thing: it puts your blood sugar in the clouds. I would have preferred less sweet and more bitter, but it’s very well done. It’s an affogato on vanilla ice cream. The first 30-40 minutes the amaretto and coffee are very prominent; for me, the amaretto tastes more like hazelnut liqueur than almonds. Finally a coffee without roses stealing the spotlight (here it’s vanilla with coffee). Like any good Mancera, decent longevity and projection. Over 10 hours of longevity and excellent projection for nearly two. Unisex and almost mandatory in the cold, it’s quite sweet.

Unisex, right in the middle, neither feminine nor masculine. The coffee note combined with vanilla ice cream gives it the perfect touch to be very unisex. I was given a sample and loved it, gave it to my girlfriend and she thought it tasted great too, I liked it so much I ended up buying it. Projection is between 8 and 10 hours, best in the first two, then it fades and becomes more subtle, but someone right next to you can still smell it.

I had so many expectations with the name, the brand, and the main note, but it wasn’t what I expected. It smells sweet, you can really smell the ice cream, and I agree with the comments below: it smells like a frappé with tons of sugar. I expected a more serious and mature coffee scent, keeping the femininity.
