It’s literally a teenager in a bottle: loud, sweet, and fresh, ready to scream to the world that you’re here until you drop… everyone else.
Personally, I think it lacks sillage; it doesn’t project much, but it does last quite a while on the skin and clothes. It has a rich mix of vanilla and sweet touches with a citrusy breeze sensation. At first, the citrus and fresh notes stand out, but once it settles on the skin, the sweet tones really shine. It’s a fragrance for afternoon or night use, youthful but not too much, and it does its job well.
I was dying to try this, and honestly, I loved it. It gives a sense of sensuality and comfort that few achieve. My experience is that you can wear it day or night, but the heart and base notes really shine in the afternoon/evening. The longevity is super good, and the trail is great too; anyone who gets close will be smitten (like when greeting with a hug). Although it’s a very popular fragrance, I don’t think you should skip it; it’s versatile, smells great, and has decent longevity. Projection: 7, Longevity: 9, Scent: 7, Versatility: 8. Total: 7.7.
Rich and simple, delicious and good, but nothing special right now. Very common and you smell it everywhere. It was pretty good in its time, but currently, it’s not worth the price and what it offers. 7/10 just for the nostalgia of being the perfume that started my collection.
The classic Eros: simple, vanilla with that ambroxan twist that makes it stand out. It’s very common and overused; I consider it full-on party wear or for projecting confidence, not recommended for excessive heat. In my case, the performance was low compared to others. Longevity: 6 hours, Projection: 1 hour, Sillage: quite strong. Personal rating: 9/10. I don’t care that it’s overused; it’s an exquisite fragrance, and I give it a 9 for the low performance it gave me.
This is where my collection started and the first one I spent my money on, back when it was $85 in 2021. It’s the king of night outs, perfect for cold weather and evenings. It feels a bit burnt, but I love that scent, especially the vanilla that drives me crazy. My ex-girlfriend loved it, and it’s the one that got me the most compliments. Maybe I’ll buy another bottle this winter, perhaps the EDP. If you like vanilla and a sweet fragrance that fills you with compliments, this is the one. You won’t regret it; it lasts well and projects nicely.
I just can’t stand the smell, maybe it’s that vanilla.
Very rich, and the knockoffs can’t even come close. It dries down to a soft, unique vanilla that’s nothing like the feminine versions; the lime and apple notes are beautiful and not overpowering like in others. I loved it, but I wouldn’t pay full price for it. I inherited it, and while it lacks potency, it makes up for it with quality and a unique scent.
It might be one of the most used, but it’s one of my favorites. It’s incredibly rich, and I absolutely love fragrances with a minty opening. For some reason, the EDT version lasts forever, which I adore.
Eros is a youthful and super pleasant combination of vanilla, tonka bean, mint, and apple that creates a ‘dough’ aroma and attracts compliments. Sometimes it’s criticized for being very common, but its profile remains relevant. Its performance isn’t the best, but there is an EDP version if that’s an issue. In short, it’s easy to like, attractive, and I recommend it for those seeking something versatile and charming.
I’ve always wanted this, and finally I have it… but watch out, I think they reformulated it. In 2021, it had more projection and potency than it does now. I’m not sure if they tweaked the EDT to push the EDP or the Parfum. Still, it’s great for spring, summer, or going out; Versace Eros EDT never fails. When I finish this, I’ll switch to the EDP. Rating: 8.5/10
Very rich, but it doesn’t even last two hours.
I’ve had this fragrance for six months, and although it’s not bad, I don’t quite like it. A synthetic vanilla with cedar predominates, smelling like that 80s room spray called ‘Vanillo Cotorro.’ It lasts about 4-5 hours. Although it’s a men’s fragrance, I feel it’s unisex. I only recommend it if you like pure vanilla; for women, something more feminine would be Coty’s Vanilla Fields.
The scent is amazing, but the longevity is a disaster: the sillage and projection are almost non-existent. Note, I tried the EDT, not the EDP, and although the aroma is top-tier, it’s gone in no time.
Excellent perfume that I used daily. The vanilla and green apple notes stand out a lot. The disappointment is the longevity; being an EDT, it lasts very little for its quality. Literally, a $20 perfume lasts me longer.
I was expecting to try it and had high expectations. Did it meet them? Yes, but only halfway. Rich aroma, poor longevity and sillage.
Versace Eros EDT: A perfect fragrance for parties and night outs. They say it’s ‘overdone,’ which was true years ago, but nowadays people don’t seek it out, and it’s very rare to smell it. It’s exclusively for parties; I don’t see it anywhere else. The scent is a very minty, sour vanilla due to the green apple; it smells like peppermint gum but with sweet vanilla. Box: Simple, thin cardboard, good design (8.0). Bottle: Square, dry green glass; in my opinion, one of the best, especially that sculpted Medusa and the cap that supports the weight (9.5). Atomizer: Good, distributes the perfume well (9.0). Price: A bit high; I bought it for $40 on a tester, normally it ranges from $60-80, so (8.0). Longevity: Many say it was eternal, I don’t know about that, but for me, it lasts a fair 7 hours on skin; the seventh hour is noticeable, then it disappears (8.5). Projection: Incredible, 1.5 meters for 90 minutes, then it becomes intimate (8.5). Sillage: Noticeable for the first two hours wherever you go (8.5). Compliments: It gets compliments, but that’s not its strong suit; you’ll surely get a few, but don’t expect them every time (8.0). Final Note: 8.5. Conclusion: If you’re looking for something for a party, it’s perfect. If you like mint, buy it. For the price, you can find better options, but it remains a good fragrance SO FOR NIGHTS AND PARTIES.
It smells quite good; I don’t understand all the hate, besides, it’s true that women love it.
They took the potency out of it to give it to the EDP. That’s just it. Killing your own fragrance and continuing to sell it (as happens with La Nuit de l’Homme, Bvlgari Man in Black, and others from designer houses) should be illegal, but it turns out to be less unethical than sending an email asking for cash claiming you’re an African prince in trouble. I think consumers are quite neglected with these reformulations: when you buy something with the same brand, the same name, the same price, and the same packaging, it should be the same scent, not the watered-down mess they keep bottling up. I ask myself: what are so many reviewers on social media for if then (almost) none of them warn about these things? Anyway… Interesting aroma (though less balanced than the EDP and Flame, which are better in every way). Longevity and projection are almost non-existent. Do not buy it. Aroma: 8. Projection: 5.5. Longevity: 3.5.
If reggaeton were a perfume, it would be Eros. Most people love it; it fits perfectly into a daily routine without you having to think about it. It’s pure dopamine that slips easily into anyone’s nose. It doesn’t raise eyebrows or generate questions; it’s just there in the background. It reminds you of adolescence and is its natural habitat; it’s appropriate for school or first outings with friends, but it does feel a bit immature. I don’t see anyone over 25 wearing it regularly, but that’s not a bad thing. There are stages in life where you just want pleasure and quick acceptance, and in that regard, it’s unbeatable. That’s why it gets so many compliments and is copied by cheaper fragrances, because its formula is simple with notes everyone likes: a blue-vanilla scent. The longevity felt normal to me, about 5 or 6 hours with good projection for the first hour; nothing extraordinary, but it meets the designer standard. Don’t use it in extreme heat because the vanilla is synthetic and can smell like plastic when mixed with sweat; use it in moderate climates. In short, it’s not a bad perfume; it’s pleasant and appropriate, you’ll get compliments by the dozen, but its greatest virtue is also its flaw: being a formula made to please and so successful, it suffers from being generic and smelling immature. Some people get tired of it quickly and lose interest. There are people who just want to smell good, and this smells good, so it’s enough for them, but men looking for personality and depth will never be satisfied with something like Eros.
Casual consumer review: Honestly, I don’t know where they get so many things, it’s a very simple and rich vanilla scent. It’s that with a green and fresh twist. The apple and lemon keep it from being too sweet; the geranium and cedar give it a calm and wearable aura. The vanilla is noticeable but not strong. A rich and versatile scent. Lasts 6 hours, moderate projection: you feel it and if they get close, they smell it, but nothing more. A perfume everyone should have.
A simple but rich scent: apple, mint, vanilla, and then cedar after a few hours. Too expensive for what it smells like; we’re paying for the brand and the bottle. There are many similar ones for much less. Even in a Spanish dupe store, they have an identical one, just in a square bottle, and it costs $18 for 100ml. It’s identical from the start to the dry down.
Very rich. You can tell the vanilla is masculine and authentic. It’s very versatile for any occasion. It doesn’t have as much projection as I’d like, but I’m sure it’s appropriate for its aromas. It’s not overwhelming and is a fairly unique and familiar scent.
Nice fragrances, but beware! Only in temperate or cold climates. In heat or tropical cities, it’s a nausea bomb that makes you want to vomit and gives people disgusted looks. It feels ultra-sweet and repulsive. Don’t buy blindly, especially if you live in a tropical city or are in full summer.
Probably the most used designer fragrance, but good and usable by almost everyone. In my opinion, the EDT is the best: longevity is moderate to weak, but it makes up for it by projecting well. You have to reapply, it doesn’t stand out, it doesn’t clash, it just feels and smells good. Its downside is that everyone has it, but it’s a great daily perfume to smell good without a specific purpose.
Smells like an old cat from Puerto Madero. It’s crude and unpleasant, nothing more or less.
A youthful and charming fragrance, not just for parties. Despite its vanilla touch, it’s fresh and green, usable all year round without issues. I wore it this summer and, unlike others, it didn’t seem heavy to me. It’s easy to like: even people who don’t know much about perfumes told me it was ‘the best cologne you’ve ever worn’, and I have rivals who cast a good shadow. Despite its popularity, I haven’t smelled it on anyone else, not even in crowded places. I’ve noticed many repeated scents, but not this one. Plus, I have a special fondness for it because I wore it on my last vacation; those memories add value.
If there’s a versatile scent, this is it! Simple and effective, perfect for all day. In any weather or occasion, the Eros EDT is worth it. It opens with a sparkling green apple and mint, sitting on a vanilla base that takes the lead as it dries. It’s sweet, fresh at first, and warm at the end, simple and effective. Projection and longevity are moderate, and it’s available at a good price. A true workhorse!
Good perfume, everyone knows it and it smells great for everyday wear, but only when cold in my opinion. People say it smells divine, though others claim the EDT version smells like a buttery pastry. I definitely love it and you’ll probably like it too. The only downside is it doesn’t last long, about 3 hours on skin, though it lasts a bit longer on clothes.
Versace Eros, The Blue Beast! Starts off with juicy lemon and green notes, super clean. In the dry down, a soft menthol gives way to incredible freshness. As it settles on the skin, that citrusy vanilla emerges without losing the menthol. It’s refined, nothing too loud, and works great. I have the EDP and it’s exquisite: good projection and lasts 4-6 hours on skin, all day on clothes. For the bottle and the scent, 10/10.
I don’t get what people find in this if reviewers are irresponsibly hyping it. It smells better than the concierge’s bathroom cleaner. It’s annoying and the scent is the most synthetic I’ve ever smelled; it gives me headaches and makes me want to vomit.
A relic and a beast. My dad gifted this to me, and having this 2013 batch, a year after launch, is something else: powerful, soapy, and serious. The crisp mint and apple blend with vanilla and woods for a brutal projection. New batches leave much to be desired. This bottle is heaven for quality, beast-mode longevity, and sentimental value. A designer who once smelled like niche. Masculine, seductive, and marking territory. ⚜️ Scent: 10/10 (Classic, powerful, soapy, serious). ⚜️ Longevity: 10/10 ⚜️ Duration: 10-12h (Easily). ⚜️ Projection: 10/10 (A bomb). ⚜️ Final Score: 10/10 ⚜️
Hi! First review, hope it helps. Eros is youthful and takes you to the Greek pantheon, evoking gods and desire. It opens with soft mint and a potent, characterful lemon, though it fades quickly to give way to a sweet cocktail where tonka bean and vanilla dominate, adding joviality and masculinity. Technically, the performance isn’t the best: on my skin, it projects for an hour, then 4 inches from the skin, lasting about 5 hours total. Ideal for exploring designer scents or starting a collection. Versatile, its best season is fall and winter, though also good for mild afternoons or warm nights. Thanks for reading 😀
It gets roasted, but it’s the one that gives me the most compliments, even compared to PDM or YSL. For real, women love it.
I bought a 2024 batch, and if it doesn’t last long, you need to use multiple sprays. It was my first perfume, mostly for parties; if you ask me, there are better options like Scandal or the Mandarin dupe. It’s a good scent, but it feels very generic now, nothing new. Will you smell good? Yes. Will you get compliments? Yes. Are there better options? Also yes.
Ideal for going out without pretensions. I’m picky about this, as it’s the DNA I used a decade ago, and the reformulations haven’t helped with the poor performance. If you just want to smell good and stay under the radar, it’s your toxic: youthful, chill, no attention-seeking, just smells good. I use it on sunny mornings or casual outfits. It’s not bad, you just need to know when to wear it. I love it, but only in those moments.
I saw in collector groups that this is a basic and a favorite for many men, so I was curious to try it and now I get why. I don’t know why most men I know like fresh, citrusy fragrances, but this one fits the bill. What I didn’t find was the vanilla note, maybe it’s just present in very small amounts.
Short version… I have a 2018 batch. Don’t freak out about the batches. The mint and vanilla combo deserves a medal and two high-fives to the guy who created it. Lasts more than four hours on skin, which isn’t bad. Nice bottle and looks great with its other flankers. Feels youthful, fresh, and has a bit of a daily vibe, though that’s up to you.
I was torn between this and Eros Flame. At first, it’s rich, but for about 15 to 30 minutes, the notes feel off, with a lemony acidity I didn’t like, so I went with Flame. Later, that green apple, mint, and vanilla combo floats up and is really good. If it’s on sale, I might buy it despite that initial hiccup.
Nice aroma, but nothing groundbreaking. To me, it’s versatile, but I think you should only get it if it’s heavily discounted; at regular price, there are better options out there.
