Smells like a classic that everyone knows and uses, but my wife and I absolutely love it; if you wear it, people will tell you it smells great.

Sweet and sticky, it accompanied me through my entire teenage years and I never lacked compliments in class; that’s why I’ll always want it. Sure, it’s very trendy now and many no longer pay attention to it, but for me, it’s still spectacular and marks a special stage of my life.

A very popular, easily recognizable, and commercial scent. It’s heavy; people notice it. Maybe they’ll say nice things or recognize you as the One Million. It works well in open spaces, parties, or special events. It’s like the Western cousin of Arabic perfumes due to its scandal. Be careful with the amount; it can be too sweet and overwhelming. Citrus, rose, and leather notes fade into the background behind the cinnamon and amber. I think it’s not very versatile for Latin America due to the heat; not for daily wear and I don’t see it as a serious signature scent. I was gifted a bottle and haven’t finished it in ten years.

Delicious scent; I don’t understand the complaints about it being overused. It stands out less on the street compared to other similar fragrances. The people hating it are the same ones complaining about the fig note that many dislike.

My son received this as a Christmas gift, and it’s a bomb; I love spicy perfumes and wouldn’t mind using it myself. You can detect the tangerine, cinnamon, sweet spices, and a beautiful amber base. It lasts well, has a trail, and good longevity. Is it overused? Maybe, I didn’t even know it with my huge collection. My husband finds it heavy, but I think with moderation it’s a gem, ideal for cold months. My son adores it.

An overused perfume, but it’s because it’s good; a sweet and warm scent that was my first perfume. You can tell the tangerine, cinnamon, and spices, quite tasty. Unfortunately, it’s very overused, especially for autumn or winter and maybe some nights.

I used it once, finished a bottle, and hated it, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t good. Every time I wore it, people told me how good I smelled or how nice the perfume was. Sometimes perfumes don’t please the wearer but others do; in my case, I love being told I smell good. Now I use dupes and the same happens: compliments and more compliments. Most can’t be wrong, and I repeat, it’s not a smell that kills me, but others’ opinions weigh a lot. Greetings to perfume addicts.

I have a little bit left from a purchase five years ago or so, and I already had two or three bottles. I don’t use it anymore, but smelling it takes me back to 2010, 2011, or 2012, a very special time for me associated with going out partying and hanging out with friends all night. Say what you want, and despite being in the top of the most hated (I don’t understand why), it smells like hell and that’s undeniable.

No matter how hard they try, there’s no way to speak badly of the One Million. It’s very overused, yes, but that doesn’t make it less good or functional. If we think about its success, becoming one of the best-selling perfumes in less than 20 years, just smelling it makes us understand it was made to please the masses. No nonsense, if we want to be specific, it smells like gum or Bubblegum; the accord is generated by rose, tangerine, and cinnamon, maybe with some leather and vanilla, but my interpretation is that very sweet floral-fruity accord. Currently, I don’t know about its performance because my father’s batch is over 8 years old, but I understand it’s not the same as before and is quite timid. If you like the One Million DNA too much, I don’t see why you shouldn’t buy it now, being a modern scent and, as I said, made to please. Yes, very overused, but it won’t disgust anyone, not at all, as long as you like it and make you happy wearing it on your skin; what others say shouldn’t matter in the slightest (and I repeat, I fully doubt anyone will come close and tell you you smell bad).

The fragrance that made me addicted to these, a classic of the 2000s. Many hate it for being overused, but it’s amazing, one of the perfumes that has brought me the most compliments and I have many anecdotes with it. Simply put, it’s my favorite perfume. I prefer this EDT a thousand times over the others. I love it, 9/10.

I don’t know, but I absolutely love this plum scent. I’ve only received compliments from men, never from women.

Jorge Fonseca
Smells like ‘gentleman,’ it’s neither great nor bad, but it doesn’t stand out at all. It’s an odor that goes unnoticed, with no special occasion to wear it. A very light leather with a barely spicy, slightly alcoholic base. I wouldn’t buy it again, and if you’re looking for something similar but better made, I recommend 1 Million Parfum.

This is definitely a beast of a perfume! Ignore the new reviewers chasing trendy vibes and overpraising Arabic scents above this gem. I’ve worn it for years and it was one of my favorites. It got super mainstream at one point, but I don’t think it’s the same today. No one can say anything bad about this fragrance.
-
meshuggah1
It was fantastic back in the day! Nowadays, I think if I smell a 7 Macho or Varon Dandy, I tolerate it better. It’s too overused, everywhere, even in car scents. It’s having the same fate as Santal 33 and its clones right now. But this perfume is good, grand, sexy, well-balanced, and long-lasting. A true gem.

My signature and my DNA will always be 1 Million EDT; nothing is done poorly here. The intense tangerine and grapefruit hit you when you apply it, and as it dries, it gets more mature until it becomes addictive and warm. There’s no better fragrance than this one that has earned me so many compliments. If it costs, it’s worth it. You can throw hate at it saying everyone has it, it smells the same everywhere, or that it’s generic. In short: if you don’t look like a 1 Million, you won’t smell like one. The bottle is luxurious, looks beautiful on shelves, and if you collect, it’s the one that will always catch attention. I’ve worn it during the day to go to university and even to weddings, and it works perfectly. The longevity is beastly: it lasted 10-12 hours, and that was with the EDT version. I’ve had almost the whole line, but this 1 Million EDT is the best, and I’d repeat it without a doubt for its caramelizing, seductive scent, its beastly longevity, and its projection.

I’ve loved this bottle since I saw it in a cable commercial, and now, upon smelling it, it smells like caramelized gold with notes of spices, tangerine, mint, cinnamon, grapefruit, and the leather that can’t be missed. Recommended for cold, nighttime days, as it’s not as great in heat, but you can use a minimum of 2 sprays.

Whoa! What a perfume. So many people have used it, and at the same time, it was “mass-produced” so much that people stopped using it, and in some parts of the world (I’d say most…) it smells like it came out a couple of years ago. Like some classics such as Green Irish Tweed, Le Male, Polo, Drakkar Noir, or similar (someone else mentioned Paco Rabanne Pour Homme below, which makes sense), it can’t hide that it comes from a previous era, but the quality of the scent makes it absolutely irrelevant. This perfume is so recognizable that one of these days I’ll dream about it and recognize it immediately. Many undeclared notes. I’ve always perceived a bouquet of fruity and spicy notes, plus the cinnamon, a bright cardamom, a red Canel’s gum note, and a base from a dated perfume: rose, leather (closer to Russian leather), patchouli, woods, amber, and something no one mentions but I perceive: A LOT of musk, like freshly washed clothes at grandma’s house. If I had to review this perfume, I’d send a blank letter with an approval stamp. Wordless.

It happens with good perfumes: people use them a lot, and they end up seeming generic or associated with people you don’t like, making them less appealing. This perfume is great in every way—it lasts, projects, and smells good—but it’s a bit outdated and reminds everyone of too many people, making it very non-unique. Still, I insist: it’s a good perfume, though very expensive.

Dinamita
A classic party perfume, a good scent, nothing more. I’m not joining those people who say this fragrance is “burned.” Yes, many people use it, but do you say you smell it everywhere? Nowadays, almost everyone uses popular Arabic perfumes on TikTok and no one says anything. In fact, if they changed the name and bottle of this perfume, I bet many would be praising it. It should be noted that I also use Arabic perfumes. This “hate” towards the fragrance comes more from the influence of some YouTube or TikTok channels repeating that “this fragrance should be dead.” My summary, as I said above: it’s not the most “wow” fragrance you’ll find (obviously), but you won’t smell bad. I agree there are better options on the market, but if you already have a collection and want to add this, it’s totally valid. And watch out: it can guarantee you infinite compliments at a party. The downside: it’s not a novel scent and the atomizer is an “XD.” Otherwise, a good fragrance, nothing more.

One of my first frags in college, gifted by a friend who knows her scents. It brings back great memories, and I wear it on dates. A youthful aroma where cinnamon takes the lead with a moderate sweetness of amber and spices; leather and wood emerge as it dries. It was my favorite for years. Now there’s some hate due to ‘massification,’ but I haven’t heard much of it. A total success; you probably have a bottle of One Million in your collection.

A well-balanced and pleasant fragrance from the very first moment. Its opening is fresh and enveloping, the heart is soft and harmonious, and the base is warm and long-lasting. Ideal for daily use or special occasions. A versatile perfume that leaves an elegant and subtle impression.

An absolute classic for winter nights. Warm, amber, and spicy with a sweet finish that’s utterly enchanting. People say it’s oversaturated, but I haven’t noticed it in Lima; here, it still feels unique. The longevity and projection are top-tier.

One Million is for those seeking a bold fragrance with serious presence that won’t go unnoticed. Ideal for going out at night or events, but not for discreet daily wear or for those who prefer subtle or sophisticated scents.

What would I choose for Roxanne? A battle between the shine of 1 Million and the classicism of Pour Homme in a Moulin Rouge key. There are perfumes that don’t whisper, that don’t approach in silence. 1 Million enters like Satine in the Moulin Rouge, all dressed up: smoke, lights, and a golden bottle like a gold bar. Both 1 Million and Satine know exactly what the audience expects: warm notes, cinnamon, vanilla, tonka bean, and sweet amber, plus tamed leather to seduce without subtlety. It impacts, it’s noticeable, it touches on the vulgar but has charisma and knows how to grab attention. I understand why it’s been so loved: it’s magnetic, youthful, theatrical. Its thing is impact and presence; it doesn’t seek depth, it seeks applause. And then comes Roxanne’s heartbreaking tango scene, trapped between Christian’s love and the Duke’s duty. I imagine Satine surrendering to whoever carries classic masculinity: the Pour Homme. The classic, a dry fougère aroma, elegant, needing no gold to be unforgettable. Sometimes true corruption doesn’t shout; it just smells like freedom.

Oversaturated? I want to know where, because in a city of 10 million (plus 11 million in the metro), I don’t smell this anywhere. People claiming it’s oversaturated have their heads in the clouds: on every corner, you see copies of the contemporary male icon—same haircut, same beard, same tattoos—and they complain about the scent. One Million is here to stay; it broke the mold and paved the way for modern perfumery; Rabanne nailed it. To me, it doesn’t matter if 20 million people use it; taste is personal and it’s for yourself. I share it with my wife, not to see if the synthetic copy smells the same. I simply like it and wear it.

I disagree on a couple of points. Where I live, a city of 600k in Mexico, I barely smell 1 Million at all. It’s not oversaturated; Sauvage, Aventus, etc., are way more common. I value the unique and original, but for most, having an original scent is impossible and unnecessary. Also, the myth that gender doesn’t exist in perfumes is false; it’s a marketing strategy. Both sexes are attracted to different profiles: men in shoe stores, furriers, workshops; girls reject those aromas. Each sex has a different hormonal generation that influences body scents. To anyone who thinks gender doesn’t exist, I invite you to rethink it and discover the fallacy.

LosPerfumesDeJavi
Their shelf presence and top sales rankings worldwide don’t escape notice. Probably every millennial and Gen Z has a bottle, but that’s an ENORME problem because EVERYONE smells the same: the negative side is its massification and zero exclusivity. It’s very sweet, pleasant, warm, and smells good. I won’t say anything about those who think it’s more feminine than masculine: perfumes are aromas, people and brands assign gender, it’s nonsense. Longevity is amazing and the trail is very potent and invasive. The cinnamon and spice scent is intoxicating; the leather and amber are very strong. Every time I try it, I feel it smells like everyone else, and that I absolutely dislike.

The bottle: a mined gold bar from Minecraft. Opening: blood orange, mint, and grapefruit. A citrus explosion with premium disco aspirations. It’s like that colleague who walks into the bar shouting ‘Let’s party!’ in the same 2009 shirt, but you forgive them because they buy the round and smell like a cocktail and a desire to conquer the world. It’s sparkling, yes, but with the fizz of an energy drink that doesn’t taste like fruit, but like a party. In the heart: cinnamon, rose, and spices. Here it gets interesting, or at least tries to. Cinnamon is sexy, rose is sophisticated, spices… that’s what perfumers add when they don’t know what else to put but want it to smell like ‘character’. Result: a sweet, cloying, and dangerously addictive cocktail. Like that Erasmus girl who broke your heart in first year. In the base: leather, amber, patchouli, and white woods. No more pretending: it’s a leather sofa on the floor with LED lights. Leather says ‘I’m a catalog alpha male,’ amber whispers ‘I’m warm and enveloping,’ patchouli shouts ‘Look at me!’. White woods are there just in case you ask about elegance. Does it work? Yes. Just like Big Brother in its early editions. Just like reggaeton in the summer. One Million doesn’t want to please; it wants to dazzle. A perfume for teenagers who feel like gods and adults resisting aging. And damn, sometimes that has charm. Is it vulgar? Of course. Is it exaggerated? More than an influencer’s Instagram in Dubai. Does it have personality? That of a $500 bill with sunglasses and an open shirt. And the worst (or best) part is that it smells good. Like sin. Like the memory of a kiss at a party that ends badly but is remembered well. In the end, we all have a poser inside; some just perfume them better.

One Million is another modern classic. Rich, but very oversaturated for obvious reasons; it revolutionized the industry. From my perspective, it’s very youthful; the desire of every young enthusiast of the time was to own it. It’s for cold weather; it can be very sweet and strong for warm climates. I don’t recommend it today due to its massification and price; perhaps another fragrance from the collection if you like the DNA, there are many that replicate the nuances with good performance.

Ale2003
They gave it to me to try on my arm, and honestly, it’s very meh. It smells like a 13-15-year-old kid and a shoe store. It doesn’t smell bad, but it doesn’t drive me crazy. Yes, poor longevity: at best 3 or 4 hours, even though I drenched my arm in perfume.
-
Crisp7
A classic from my teenage years. I use it almost exclusively in winter; it’s a nostalgic perfume that nowadays only evokes memories.
-
Gonchi
Rich scent that doesn’t get tiring; perfect for cool climates between 17 and 25 degrees. I see it as super versatile for any age or occasion. Scent: 8.7, longevity: 7, projection: 6, value: 6.3, compliments: 6.3, overall: 6.9

Dassbartender
Unforgettable the revolution of the Golden Bar! Nowadays almost everyone hates it, not because of the smell, but because of everything surrounding it. It brings back great memories of my youth.
-
Bryanlp4
Its sin is being a classic scent! I like it, but it doesn’t blow me away, and I don’t hate it like others do. Nowadays there are plenty of options to avoid the common stuff, but in the end, it’s all about taste: if you get hooked, you’ll enjoy it.
-
Jhonas IG
How did they kill this gem? It’s still a hit since 2008 and it’s wonderful. The problem is that after using it so much, it no longer smells unique, but you’ll definitely smell spectacular. I’ve been using it for 15 years, give it a chance; women still go crazy for it. It has no age limit, don’t let the haters fool you.
-
Javier_V10
It’s a solid performer, smells good, and has adequate longevity and projection. The downside is that it smells very burnt, which isn’t bad per se, but probably 80% of men aged 20 to 40 use it, so you won’t stand out, though you’ll always get compliments from women. I made the mistake of wanting to wear it daily; it’s a heavy scent for daytime and summer, better suited for night and cold weather. Still, it’s a safe purchase: you’ll smell good and get compliments, albeit at the cost of not standing out for originality.
-
redruM69
I loved it at first, but over time I only wear it in winter or on an autumn night due to the heavy notes. It lasted a long time, but nowadays in 2024 there are better options with those notes because sometimes it feels too heavy. It’s still part of my repertoire, but when I finish it, I’ll surely opt for something more modern.

A very masculine and attractive perfume; my partner wears it and I love it. Definitely I consider it the best men’s perfume.

A gift from my uncle abroad. As a young person just entering the perfume world, I didn’t reject this request even though it smells very burnt to my nose, since it’s one of my father’s favorite fragrances that I’ve smelled since I can remember. It’s a sharp, spicy mandarin with ambered cinnamon: cinnamon is the star, along with mandarin and amber. Gradually the mandarin fades, giving way to spicy ambered cinnamon; it smells somewhat synthetic, weird, like plastic-sweet. In the end, that spiciness mellows and softens with the amber and leather, giving an earthy sensation with spicy cinnamon and a minimal trace of mandarin before fading. I coveted it as a kid (I guess it smelled better before, now I’m not sure with the reformulation), but since I’ve heard so much about One Million in the last two years, it doesn’t convey anything particular to me anymore, even though I still love the scent. I won’t say I love it because it’s super overused for me.
-
Pablo09
It was my first perfume and it’s not exactly a great wonder: the gold bar smells like sweet empanada with spices on my skin. It lasts about 4 hours, it’s for cold weather, and it came in handy. In summary: scent 7, longevity 6, versatility 7.

I’m not sure which sample it was since they all look the same, but it’s a very sweet fragrance; without the mint, grapefruit, and patchouli, it would seem like a feminine oriental.
