One of my favorite fragrances.
The Salvatore Ferragamo Uomo Casual Life is, as its name suggests, a casual fragrance with a woody, fruity, and aromatic style. The opening is pleasant: a sharp fruity touch like green apple mixed with something sweet like tonka, vanilla, chocolate, or perhaps the declared coffee, lasting about 10 minutes. In the middle phase, it stays fruity but violet leaves appear along with that trendy ambroxan. As it dries down, what lasts the most is the wood, with the fruity and green notes lowering though they don’t disappear. Thanks to its freshness and carefree vibe, the name fits perfectly; it’s casual and ideal for any occasion in warm or temperate climates, best for spring or summer. It doesn’t project much but doesn’t smell like a skin scent either; on my skin, it lasted 8 hours. It’s not a 100% original nor totally generic aroma; it’s in the group of fragrances like Abercrombie First Instinct, so if you’ve tried that, you get the idea of its style.
Coffee, lemon, and ambroxan dominate on my skin. I love it, but the projection and longevity are very weak compared to the original Uomo. Imagine 40% of the original Uomo and 60% of a very soft Sauvage Dior; that’s what it smells like. A good option for any occasion, but avoid cold climates due to its low projection. If it were stronger in trail and longevity, I’d give it a 9, but since it’s not, it only reaches a 7.
On my skin, what stands out most is coffee, lemon, and ambroxan. I really like it, but unfortunately its projection and longevity are super weak compared to the original Uomo. Imagine 40% of the Uomo and 60% of a very soft Dior Sauvage; that’s what it smells like. A good option for any occasion, but not in cold climates due to low projection. If it were stronger in trail and longevity, I’d give it a 9, but since it’s not, it only reaches a 7.
Very good fragrance, fresher than the original Uomo. An interesting blend of woods and citrus where violet leaves, green and crisp, join the spicy nuances of cardamom; the lemon seems sparkling and adds freshness. The heart starts with coffee, a classic Italian ingredient, mixed with Ambrox and the vibrancy of geranium, creating a bitter yet luminous sensation. It’s a perfume I like, delicate and attractive; it’s not a monster in projection or longevity (moderate), but it smells refined and very elegant.
A very good fragrance, fresher than the original Flanker Uomo. It’s an interesting blend of woody and citrus notes, where violet leaves, green and crisp elements join the spicy nuances of cardamom. The lemon seems sparkling and gives freshness to the whole composition. The heart starts with coffee, a traditional Italian ingredient, mixed with Ambrox and the liveliness of geranium, creating a bitter yet luminous sensation. The result is a perfume I like, delicate and attractive; it’s not a beast in projection or longevity, which remain moderate, but it smells fine and very elegant.
I just picked this up because I love Ferragamo perfumes; I already own five and none have disappointed me. The opening is citrusy with musky touches, it settles well, and although they say it doesn’t last as long as the original, it’s held on me for 6 or 7 hours. It’s not as potent as the Uomo, but it doesn’t do badly or fall short. With this, I’m even more into the Ferragamo Parfums line; next, I’ll get the new one to see how it goes. I see it as semi-casual use, with sweatpants, trousers, and a shirt, and it works well for dates or the club because it’s noticeable from a distance.
Smells good and does its job, though it’s a bit generic. The notes are fresh, it lasts 3 to 4 hours on my skin, and projects discretely. I usually reapply to finish the day with the scent intact.
The perfume has a good aroma but is quite soft; on skin and clothes, it doesn’t last at all.
The scent is good, but it feels very subtle; it doesn’t last even a minute on my skin or clothes.
I started off disappointed by the initial scent, but once applied to my skin, it was a total surprise: very clean and pleasant. It’s nothing like the Signature; although both have coffee notes, this one is creamy with citrus touches that give it rich nuances. The longevity is moderate, about 16 hours in total, but on my skin it lasts around 4 hours because pH plays a key role. My coworkers and strangers keep looking at me and asking what I’m wearing, and my partner loves it when I wear it. Of course, I’ll be buying another bottle. Greetings to the community, have an excellent day!
Ferragamo Casual Life: Frankly, I consider it a very ‘basic’ scent. Nothing extraordinary, surprising, or even attractive. If it’s pleasant in the dry down, it’s bland. It offers nothing more than a scent that says ‘it’s okay’ and that’s it. I think it’s for daily office wear; as a Ferragamo, one expects elegance, refinement, originality, presence, cleanliness, and personality, and it falls short in all those areas. I wouldn’t buy it again, not even an Avon one is better. I’m not saying this to disparage Avon; they have better fragrances. Comparing Ferragamo Casual Life to Avon’s Segno is like saying the Italian national football team was hammered 5-1 by Trinidad and Tobago in Milan. In short, it’s disappointing both in scent and performance. Scent: 6.0, Projection: 4, Longevity: 5 hours on skin. Not recommended.
Just bought it, and after a few days of testing, I differ from many who say it’s not worth it. For me, it’s very good. It’s hard to find a coffee note so soft to wear in summer, and ‘Casual Life’ makes it possible. It ends with a bitter musk like many, but the heart smells like coffee: that soft coffee after a good meal, nothing heavy, very pleasant. One of my best designer value buys.
I smelled it first in my dad’s collection and loved it. I bought it and it didn’t disappoint at all. It smells very sweet, like a desert. Girls will want to eat you up; it’s very reliable and I highly recommend it.
A fresh, floral, and relaxing coffee scent. The opening is citrusy but lasts only seconds; instantly we feel the cardamom and violet leaves, which harmonize the opening and add creaminess. The next phase is the coffee: soft and fresh, relaxing but with a slight kick that makes it the protagonist and gives it a distinctive touch. The geranium, always rich, accompanies it very well and harmonizes with the ambroxan and the initial violet, generating a soft mix. At the end, I only detect musk, geranium, and the last traces of violet, as the woods are barely noticeable. In the dry down, it’s a musky floral aroma; the coffee, the protagonist, departs leaving a good feeling. Casual Life is a more ‘casual’, versatile, less sweet, and less nocturnal Ferragamo than the original (which I haven’t tried). In terms of projection, performance, and trail, I see it as a perfume for personal enjoyment. I’d call it ‘Ferragamo Uomo Relax’ :P. Beyond that weak part (performance), it’s something delicious, relaxing, and a pleasure to smell.
Fresh coffee, floral, and relaxing. The opening is citrus for a few seconds, then cardamom and violet leaves that add creaminess. Followed by soft, fresh, relaxing coffee with a slight kick that makes it stand out. Geranium pairs well with ambroxan and violets, creating a soft mix. In the dry down, I only sense musk, geranium, and a hint of violet; the woods are barely perceptible. Dry down is floral and musky, with the coffee fading leaving a nice impression. Casual Life is a more ‘casual,’ versatile, less sweet, and less nocturnal Ferragamo than the original (which I haven’t tried). As for projection and longevity, I see it as a personal fragrance. I’d call it ‘Ferragamo Uomo Relax.’ Beyond its weak points, it’s delicious, relaxing, and a pleasure to smell.
It strays from its original, having a critical opening that reminds me of another fragrance, though I can’t recall which one, maybe some CK, but it’s light. It’s a light lemon followed by a coffee aroma, but a coffee that feels like when someone is smoking… I’d dare to say it has a bit of tobacco, like Tous Concentré. It’s not bad, just that it doesn’t resemble the original Ferragamo Uomo as much. In my opinion, if you buy blind and like light scents that don’t suffocate, it’s good. Personal enjoyment and close contact only.
It diverges from the original, with an opening that recalls another fragrance, maybe a CK one, but it’s light. It’s a light lemon, and then suddenly a coffee note emerges, but like the kind you get when someone is smoking… I’d dare say it has tobacco (like Tous Concentrée). It’s not bad, just doesn’t seem like much of a Ferragamo Uomo original. If you like light scents that don’t overwhelm, it’s a blind buy. Personal enjoyment and close contact only.
Exquisite fragrance but terrible performance. I’m not exaggerating: after 45 minutes, you can’t even smell it on my skin. I asked the people with me, and even when they leaned in, they couldn’t detect it. What a shame with this performance. The original Uomo is definitely worth it; it’s a beast. I haven’t tried the Signature here because it’s not available in Argentina. Cheers.
This fragrance smells like celery or culantro in some LATAM countries. Or rather, it smells like crushed culantro leaves over some citrus and faint woods in the background. It’s unpleasant. I don’t find anything of the sweet coffee aroma like a cappuccino from the original Uomo. If it has any of that coffee note, it would be the very green fruit. I repeat, it smells like celery and besides, it has a high price in my country. A completely dispensable perfume.
In LATAM, it smells like celery or celeriac. Or crushed culantro leaves over faint citrus and woods. It’s unpleasant, and I can’t find any trace of the sweet cappuccino coffee from the original. If there’s coffee, it’s a very green fruit. I repeat: it smells like celery and it’s priced too high. It’s dispensable.
My favorite among my perfumes; it’s the one my sister likes the most.
Simple and effective scent: citrus, coffee, and musk. It’s not trying to be head-turning; it’s easy to like and get compliments on… if people can actually smell it. Performance is awful; I have fragrances with bad reputations that last 4 hours, and this one doesn’t even make it on my clothes. You have to overapply to make it last, which is a shame.
Bought it for the bottle, but on skin it smells like herbs—celery or parsley—and it just doesn’t work for me. Plus, the longevity is terrible.
