Descripción
Legend Night by Montblanc is an aromatic woody fragrance for men. Launched in 2017, this composition was created by Antoine Maisondieu and Olivier Pescheux. The top notes unfold with cardamom, mint, helichrysum, and bergamot; the heart reveals apple, lavender, cedar, violet, and fir resin; while the base notes close the structure with black vanilla pod, Akigalawood, musk, vetiver, and patchouli.

It has a very sweet scent, I loved it, but the sillage is very poor; afterwards it turns woody and light.
Very sweet scent that I loved, but the sillage is very poor; afterwards it becomes woody and light.
One Million plus Versace Eros plus a repulsive synthetic stench = commercial trash. It’s not even worth reviewing; I have to protest so they stop releasing these cheap junk.
No doubt it smells good, but I find it quite generic, very similar to others. And to top it off, before an hour I could only smell it right up against the skin. Disappointing.
My next purchase. I tested it in-store and liked it a lot. It seems captivating and sophisticated, with fresh notes that blend perfectly with creamy and masculine notes. The bottle is also pretty. Update: unfortunately, longevity and sillage aren’t up to the standard of the scent, which is gorgeous. It lasts really very little.
I’m going to buy it. I tried it in-store and loved it: it’s captivating and sophisticated, with fresh notes that blend perfectly with the creamy and masculine ones. The bottle is also pretty. Update: unfortunately, the longevity and sillage don’t match the level of the aroma, which is gorgeous, but it lasts very little.
You can’t deny it smells rich, but I find it quite generic, very similar to others. And to make matters worse, before an hour I only perceive it as a skin scent. Disappointing.
Legend Night 2017 surprised me. It’s not bad, but I think it’s among the ‘best’ Montblanc offers. If the notes were more natural and projection and longevity improved, it would be an excellent purchase, because the scent is good and notable, although sometimes synthetic notes give it a plastic aftertaste. Still, I’d use it for moments when I’m not in a rush to decide. I like the mix of vanilla, apple, cedar, and lavender. It’s very sensual, clean, and I think women won’t be indifferent to it in a man.
Well-built concept and design: a bottle that evokes sunsets in ochres and blacks, with a scent that also ‘sunset’s’. Starts with fresh bergamot, cardamom, and green apple, moves through a dry vanilla note thanks to coumarin, and closes with resins and vetiver that masculinize it for night. It’s sweet, masculine, and sexy, intimate due to its moderate projection, ideal for evening dates. My favorite from the ‘Legend’ collection. The fragrance isn’t unique, but with its visual concept it makes total sense; I love perfumes that tell stories. Scent: 7/10, Sillage: 6/10, Longevity: 6/10. Age: 30-45. Style: Elegant/Sexy.
It’s a very well-crafted perfume. The bottle, with ochre-to-black tones like a sunset, and the fragrance also ‘sunset’: it starts with fresh bergamot, cardamom, and green apple; then the aromatic notes lead to dry vanilla from coumarin, resins, and vetiver to masculinize it with warm, dark notes that mark the entry of night. Between the sweet, it’s very masculine and sexy, intimate in character due to its moderate projection, but perfect for that ‘night date’. My favorite facet of the ‘Legend’ line. A fragrance that isn’t very different, but with its visual concept it makes sense; I love perfumes that tell stories. Scent: 7/10, Sillage: 6/10, Longevity: 6/10, Age: 30-45, Style: Elegant/Sexy.
At first, it reminded me of a mix of Armani Code and Super Playboy For Him. The first hour smells like coffee with vanilla, very sweet. Then it becomes softer, pleasant, and cozy, but it disappears in very little time. It’s fine for elegant evening wear, but at first it can be overwhelming, and afterwards it loses its sillage radically, resembling, without smelling quite as much like trash, Zara’s Tobacco Collection Rich Warm Addictive.
Legend Night smells generic, but rich, aromatic, and sweet without being cloying. It has a seductive side; you can detect the lavender, apple, vanilla, and woods. It seems like a mix of Eros, 212 VIP Black, and a bit of the new Uomo Signature, giving it that generic air, though it’s cheaper than all those fragrances. The downside is the projection and longevity: the projection is skin-scent only and lasts at most 6 hours (supposedly an Eau de Parfum), but it’s not bad, especially for a date; it’s enough. I like its scent.
Legend Night has a very generic scent, but also very rich; it’s very aromatic and sweet without being cloying. I think it has its seductive side; the notes of lavender, apple, vanilla, and woods are pleasantly perceptible. It seems like a cross between several fragrances like Eros, 212 VIP Black, and even a bit of the new Uomo Signature, which gives it that generic characteristic; yes, it is cheaper than all the mentioned fragrances. Another aspect where it falls short is projection and longevity: the projection is skin-scent only and the longevity reaches at most 6 hours (supposedly an Eau de Parfum), though they’re not entirely bad, especially if used for a date; they are more than enough. I like its scent.
A very solid bet from Montblanc. The vanilla and apple notes bring the sweetness, while the lavender adds that fresh touch. The rest is a bit undefined; you have to use your imagination. It works well for both men and women; it plays with the fresh-sweet duality and comes off effortlessly, with incredible versatility. It’s suitable for fall, winter, spring, and cool summer nights, because the vanilla isn’t as cloying as the tonka bean in Armani Code Profumo. The longevity is weak for an Eau de Parfum: about 4 hours of projection and sillage, then another 2 hours close to the skin. It’s sufficient. You have to apply it generously on the skin or clothes, as it lasts longer on fabric than on skin. Scent: 9, Versatility: 8.5, Longevity: 6.5, Projection: 6.5, Value: 8.
Good sweet and masculine scent; you can smell the vanilla, apple, musk, and mint. It surprised me despite being a generic smell I already knew, but with better quality. It would be a good purchase for the price. Longevity isn’t its strong suit, as Montblanc ones usually don’t last more than 6 hours, but as a perfume it’s very good. 100% recommended, pleasant sweet scent.
Nice sweet masculine aroma, you can tell the vanilla, apple, musk, and mint. I was surprised despite it being a generic scent I’ve smelled for years, but with better quality. It would be a good buy for the price. You can’t ask for much more longevity since Montblancs don’t last long (not more than 6 hours), but as a perfume, it’s very good. 100% recommended, pleasant sweet aroma.
I was looking for something vanilla, sweet, sexy, and youthful, and this was my choice. It’s very similar to Armani Code Profumo, Polo Red, and Ferragamo Uomo and Uomo Signature. But this is the only one I feel is more youthful, maybe simple but without those complex notes that sting and give me a headache like the others. I’m 25, and for me, it’s the ideal for going out at night or a date without looking too adult. I recommend it for those seeking something sweet and youthful; I think it’s a great alternative (believe me, I tried many before finding this).
I don’t know much about perfumes, I’ve had several, but this is by far my favorite for dates or night outings. It expresses seriousness and sensuality. I love the sweet and woody aroma; I can still smell it easily about 6 hours after applying it.
Delicious scent, vanilla dominates as I like, but watch out!, longevity is totally scarce: 2 or 3 hours and then nothing.
Delicious aroma, vanilla dominates as I like it. But, surprise!, the longevity is totally scarce, 2 or 3 hours and then nothing.
I bought it when it launched and I had a lot of affection for it. Despite having experience with fragrances, this is the only one that has given me a real compliment, the kind YouTubers give. I wore it again today and the scent still holds, but the longevity leaves much to be desired. I’m not regretting the purchase.
It resembles L’Homme Ideal by Guerlain: the opening lasts 10 minutes and then turns into Versace Dreamer. It’s a delicious ‘Night’ version, suitable for all climates if you know how many sprays to use. It smells rich and is worth it. Absolutely delicious, if you like the ones I mentioned, you’ll love this. Delicious and at a good price. Nothing to do with the original Montblanc Legend.
Very rich, but it stays in a very personal bubble. I absolutely love it and I’m a bit addicted to the scent.
The fragrance that opened my eyes to trying new things. Before, I used catalog perfumes and none made me feel what this one does. At first glance, it smells like vanilla with citrus touches, a woody base, and yes, synthetic. It lasts about six hours; at the end, it sticks to the skin and projects for a couple of hours at the start. I love it, but my partner is the one who hates it the most. I haven’t received compliments or complaints. If you find it cheap, it’s worth it; it’s not worth department store prices. It has good packaging and I’d buy it again; I haven’t found anything so identical.
A rich and charming fragrance. I’ve received many compliments. Longevity and sillage are moderate. I recommend it for cold days or the office. Although it says NIGHT, it works better during the day.
Of all the sweet scents I’ve tried, this is the king. It’s generic and nothing new, with an DNA similar to Armani Code, but Legend Night is the freshest pick from the lottery. Smells youthful and sexy, like Eros EDT but with a stronger vanilla note. Ideal for dates or short dinners (max 4 hours) because the longevity is poor. If you’re looking for your first night perfume, forget it here. I like it and own it, but I don’t recommend it much. 6/10
Mediocre and bland aroma in the line of Armani Code Profumo. Respect to those who like it, but there are much better options.
Mediocre and bland scent, in the line of Armani Code Profumo. Respect to those who like it, but there are much better options.
Mr. Maisondieu was the nose for this perfume in 216, woody and spicy, and also responsible for Code Profumo (ambery and spicy) from 2016. Does this say something? No, definitely not, but both fragrances share similar characteristics. Let’s talk about this Legend Night… The opening is rough, with a mandarin (peel) and an intense, green, aromatic cardamom and mint that push that ensemble. Not to mention the sage that adds its bite. The heart is resinous-floral, the sweetness begins to show with something light and fruity from the apple, and the base is very woody, deeply alcoholic, with bourbon-type vanilla dominating the aroma. It’s good, youthful, nocturnal, sweet and spicy, and falls into the category of trendy, cheesy fragrances. Performance: poor
I see it as quite similar (but not identical) to Versace Eros EDT, yet more complex and interesting, less mass-market, and not as cheesy, though it is quite sweet. The opening has the spicy tones of cardamom and certain fresh, spicy, aromatic nuances of mint and hyacinth. The heart and base feature a pairing of vanilla, and although they don’t declare it (they don’t fool me… they list certain notes but this has everything: cloves or eugenol, cinnamon or cinnamal, lemon or citrus notes like limonene, etc.; all perfumes have that), it has a substantial amount of iris/orris or lily flower notes or powdery notes. It’s quite ambered and not purely vanilla as one might think, and fairly fruity. In the dry down, I don’t detect much of a green nuance. Naturally, it has certain woods to provide fixation and other nuances that go unnoticed by the nose. Regarding longevity, it seems good; it lasts about 6-8 hours without issue, and there’s always the option to apply it on clothes, like flannel or porous fabrics, where it easily lasts 12 hours or much more. The olfactory construction it achieves is quite good, pleasant, easy to enjoy, and within what’s considered “trendy”, yet it remains distinguishable from similar perfumes. It seems the ingredients come from Givaudan, synonymous with reasonably synthetic aromas (but in this case, noses didn’t construct something particularly synthetic; it feels very natural). Taking a different approach to the whole review, it’s a perfume that’s really rich in a literal sense; it’s rich to smell, rich to wear. Final line: Those who don’t recommend it, frankly, what were they expecting? I do recommend it; it’s not a bad perfume, especially not for its price. P.S. RIP Olivier Pescheux, always in our hearts, God bless you and blessings
At first, I liked it for that prominent cardamom touch, but overall the perfume ends up smelling synthetic and personally, this becomes unbearable for me
I bought it as an alternative to the discontinued Armani Code Profumo. The truth is, it smells rich, but I feel the longevity is very short. The scent is great, but it also reminded me of CH 212 Sexy (the bronze one), which I think performs much better. So if you find it cheap, it’s fine; otherwise, I’d try something else
Legend Night by Montblanc is elegant and versatile, perfect for any occasion. It stands out for the soft creaminess of cardamom, which adds a warm, spicy touch, while the energetic and fresh lavender gives it a fougère sensation that balances everything. The blend of sweet and woody notes creates an enveloping richness, making it a sophisticated perfume that works well day or night. Its aroma is refined without being heavy, ideal for those seeking something distinctive and modern. Rich, rich, not suitable for super-sensitive noses
This fragrance definitely earns compliments… highly recommended!
Smells rich, a very soft sweet scent but with poor longevity
Montblanc created a work of art with this; it’s a one-to-one match with Armani Code Profumo, talking about 100% scent similarity
It’s the clone of Nuit de l’Homme Intense… even the bottle is identical, hehe
