Totally hyped, it’s not that good, I give it 7/10. It smells good but smells like one of the crowd, nothing special.
Although they don’t share declared notes, I detect a similarity in the base to the EDT version, being very different. The truth is it smells very good, but it doesn’t quite enchant me, though I understand it does for others. It’s a simple fragrance, which isn’t bad; it smells quite vanilla with a touch that some might recall as lip balm. It’s very sweet but not heavy, so I don’t think it will bother those who can’t handle sweetness. In longevity, it beats the EDT, although personally I prefer the scent of the EDT; if you like sweeter and vanilla-based fragrances, you’ll probably like this one more.
A very synthetic opening that I don’t like at all, but the dry down is excellent; it feels like a very high-quality vetiver. In summary: opening 2/10, dry down 9/10, final note 9/10. For me, the dry down is more important because it’s the scent we keep for most of the time; the opening smells like cotton candy or those factory sweets (synthetic).
One of my favorite Designer scents. The smell is generally pleasing, with decent longevity without being heavy. Without knowing much about scent notes, the perfume has consistency and even improves as it dries down. Fragrance 9/10; in the end, what I’m chasing is that I like it and that people around me like it, and this delivers on both counts.
Good projection and longevity, plus its versatility: can be worn late/night or in climates that aren’t too hot. Works well from casual to elegant. Its scent is liked by everyone who perceives it.
1. I bought it. 2. I used it. 3. I wore it. 10/10.
Actually, it’s good; I love that opening lavender that caresses you as it dries. It smells delicious and reminded me of a rainy November night in 2015, when I wore something with that rich, sensual vanilla. The dry down has that vanilla with a vetiver note that reminds me a lot of Scandal EDT’s dry down. A rich scent just for that memory.
Simply a poetic fragrance, like it was pulled straight from a fairy tale. The vanilla opening is delicious and evolves slowly into a fresh, aromatic lavender. It’s not for making a statement with crazy trails, but it does give a clean, crisp scent that, with the right outfit, makes you stand out. The vetiver adds a dreamy dry touch; together with the lavender, it’s a show-stopping fragrance. Totally recommended for those seeking a mature and crisp scent.
A formal vanilla with lavender, rich and giving a clean man vibe. It has good projection and longevity, ideal for dates or important meetings. I feel it’s all-rounder: works in spring and summer. It’s not a heavy or cloying sweet. Highly recommended, everyone likes it. Just to clarify, I own several sweet Designer fragrances and each has its charm; this one is an elegant sweet.
Very rich fragrance. Women really like it. I usually wear it on night outings and get tons of compliments.
Smells exquisite, moving away from the typical sweetness with a sophisticated touch. It’s not a projection bomb; it lasts well for the first few hours, but for me, the longevity is short. Is it good? Yes, totally recommended.
Metallic, soapy, sweet, intense, addictive.
Almost a perfect fragrance. Personally, the opening doesn’t love me; it comes out fresh and clean with a very marked lavender that feels weird and doesn’t convince me, but when it dries down, buff, an absolute gem: the lavender almost disappears and a dense, warm vanilla appears that I’m in love with. It’s sweet, but a sweetness that’s not childish and zero cloying. It projects sensuality; the feeling is enveloping and quite long-lasting. I see it for cold climates in winter, something that fills the room without being a beast mode, but it is noticeable, leaves a mark, and women love it. If you want to stand out on a night out, a date, or a special event, this is your fragrance.
Valentino Uomo Born in Roma Intense: I get why some describe it as a hybrid between La Nuit de YSL and SWY by Armani. Sure, you can, since it has bits of both, but they’re well combined, mixed to interact yet separate, conspiring to deliver modern sophistication and authentic, different romance. It manages to get lavender and vanilla to share their qualities, adding freshness, cleanliness, and a barely sweet warmth to complete a work that will capture looks and attention. It definitely reminds of other fragrances, but this is the ultimatum, the renewed and complete version of those that had their moment of glory, surpassing 212 VIP Black, SWY, YSL La Nuit, and others. It doesn’t break the mold; it’s a known fragrance and a safe bet if you want to make a difference. For men over 24, preferably at night and in cold climates. Performance is average. Scent: 10, projecting 2 hours, lasting 6 hours. Recommended.
This perfume has something special that makes it stand out from the very first moment. Its exquisite vanilla note unfolds with elegance, enveloping the senses in deep, addictive warmth. It’s enjoyed much more on cold or fresh days, where its seductive character shines in all its glory. I don’t consider it ideal for daytime or intense heat, as its true essence is best appreciated when the air is cool. It’s one of the few perfumes that has truly earned my praise, and for good reason: it has an irresistibly sexy aura that draws looks and leaves a mark. More than a recommendation, I dare to say it’s an essential, almost mandatory piece in any fragrance lover’s collection seeking elegance, personality, and sensuality. Rating: 9.2/10.
If there’s one thing that defines me, it’s that I have a good nose. I’m not fooled by people who disguise their armpit smell with perfume. That said, this ranks second in my top 3. Though less sweet, it has a significant resemblance to ‘Emporio Armani Stronger With You Absolutely’, which is my number 1. So both can coexist in your collection, just like in mine; don’t tell me any stories. With the Valentino, you attract more dominant people; I think it’s a formal perfume for work meetings or important people, without being annoying; whereas the Absolutely is better for surrounding yourself with family, friends, or lovers. What stands out most to me is the cured wood and vanilla… I wouldn’t say lavender (thank god), but rather the spice makes this perfume special. I’ve tried it in all seasons, and although it varies a bit, you still like it, and it lasts quite a while on clothes and skin.
A captivating fragrance, one of the best lavender and vetiver scents I’ve ever smelled, overflowing with sensuality and delicacy. All true if it’s for a woman, because as a man, I’d never wear it; in fact, I’d love for my girlfriend to use it. Longevity and projection are incredible, but it’s too sweet and has a dark floral vibe at the start and heart. Once it dries down, it does take on a more masculine aroma, but I still can’t see myself wearing it during the first hour as a woman, sorry but no.
I’ve worn it many times for uni or hanging out with friends, but it just doesn’t fully convince me. I know it’s a commercial fragrance, so I can’t expect an ultra-authentic smell, but it feels flat and boring to me. Don’t get me wrong: I like it, others do too, and I get compliments; it’s a winning DNA but lacks originality. It’s good at everything but stands out for nothing. The development is static, with slight variations in the heart and a dry vanilla finish due to the vetiver. Lavender is the star, giving it versatility for everything: school, work, night, day, dates. Its vibe is informal and urban. Longevity is moderate, around the good mark, lasting about 6 hours, sometimes more or less. Sillage and projection, contrary to content creators hyping it up, are moderate and mediocre: about a meter for the first hour and a half, then I only smell it on my clothes when I get close. Scent: 6/10, Compliments: 8.5/10, Versatility: 9.8/10, Longevity: 7/10, Sillage: 5/10. Cheers.
Heavily criticized for being flat or boring, this is my favorite designer perfume. I think that’s the magic: everyone wants something special or distinctive, but the value of this perfume is how easily it stands out without being complex. The notes are well-defined, and that lavender opening lightens it up and makes it versatile. You can smell all of them, and they feel high-quality. It evolves a bit slowly, but the vetiver complements the vanilla well. I get tons of compliments whenever I wear it and it’s one of the women’s favorites, who mention its distinct masculine scent. Maybe it won’t drive us guys crazy, but it definitely works on the female gender. I think that’s the magic: something simple that stands out without needing complexity, one of the best, if not the best of the brand. My review is coming to my TikTok this Friday: @_ulisescents.
Smells very feminine, like an 80% women’s scent, so I can’t see myself wearing it. I had higher expectations, but the scent is flat, lacks evolution, and feels nothing new. Over.
I bought it because of all the hype and mmm… I don’t think it’s worth it. I feel like the hype is overblown for something so normal; it could pass for any current Scandal or other sweet fragrance like Phantom, etc. I actually prefer the classic version.
I bought it yesterday because of the hype, and to my surprise, it’s genuinely pleasant. It’s not my favorite in my entire collection, but it easily makes my top 3. The quality is good, though not outstanding: some ingredients feel synthetic, which isn’t necessarily bad. It’s a sweet lavender with vanilla and vetiver, giving a youthful, party-ready, and perfect date vibe. I don’t consider it excessively sweet just for cold weather; it works in warm nights too, with moderation. It lasts 6 to 8 hours on skin, with moderate sillage for about 3 to 4 hours. This lavender reminds me a bit of Halloween Man X (though it’s not the same); I get why people compare it to Green Stravaganza. Regarding price, due to the hype, it might feel overpriced. If you love this profile and want it no matter what, it doesn’t disappoint. But if you can save a bit more, it might be worth looking into niche options like Parfums de Marly.
Soft but exquisite scent, quite versatile.
I wore it and the dry-down is lovely. If I go out with friends, my girlfriend, or to work, people have asked me about it, and it’s not the first time they’ve approached me on public transport even when there’s plenty of space; yes, they asked what I was wearing. I find it versatile as long as you don’t over-spray.
Even though some call it simple or boring, my experience is different. It feels very well-crafted, especially in how it blends lavender and vetiver (notes that usually sound ‘old man’) with a sweet vanilla that adds modernity without being cloying. It’s a versatile fragrance for any age, masculine, elegant yet accessible, with that touch of sweetness that softens things up without losing presence. The only thing I could improve is the projection: it performs well, but it doesn’t stand out as much as you’d expect from an ‘Intense’.
It’s a charming, sweet, and attractive scent that turns heads. It’s a compliment generator, but watch out… this fragrance with a good outfit, a good shower, clean skin, and a nice haircut and beard… you’ll be the star wherever you go.
I’ve been wearing it for a while and something curious happens: even though I like it, I don’t find it very exciting. It’s quite boring; it just smells like lavender and vanilla without many nuances. It feels like they tried to please everyone: the lavender makes it mature, the vanilla makes it youthful. The problem is that, being stuck between two worlds, it fits neither. That said, it feels high-quality and lasts pretty well for what designers offer nowadays (about 6 hours).
Just received a 2ml decant to test it out slowly. After a few hours, the vibe is ‘ehh-okay.’ It’s pleasant, sure, but nowhere near as impactful as the reviews claim. Personally, I’m sticking with Valentino Uomo Born In Roma Coral; that’s the one I’d buy full size. With the Intense, the vetiver base (which smells mossy) is what I least like; it just doesn’t fit my taste. The vanilla and lavender are fine, but they don’t make up for that base as it dries down. Luckily, I only spent $10 on the decant, so no major regrets. Rating: 6.8/10.
This is the real ‘Attracts Men.’ One of the best in the line, right up there with Fantasy, though it doesn’t bring anything new to the table. It’s perfect for dates, parties, or special nights out. It’s one of those perfumes you love but that don’t last long, so I recommend grabbing a decant if you’re on the fence. If you’re looking for something similar but with better longevity, go for the Extradose version instead.
I’ve had this on my wishlist for a while, and buying it blind was a win. At first, that lavender-vanilla combo is a bit much—maybe it doesn’t scream ‘super masculine’ to you—but as the lavender fades, the vanilla settles into a nice woody note. It’s true that after a few hours it gets a bit boring once the lavender is gone, but it’s still a solid perfume. I’m giving it 9/10; great blind buy. If I had to describe it, I’d say it’s a black outfit with a pompadour.
A pleasant, crowd-pleasing scent, which makes it a bit boring. It’s rich, vanilla, and little else. I’d prefer buying Asad Bourbon, which is much cheaper and I’m sure has better projection.
I don’t know why people say it’s not worth it; for me, it lasts all day without losing intensity. It’s one of the perfumes that gets the most compliments from women. Spectacular.
I’m really sorry, but this is an absolutely overhyped and overrated perfume (thanks, TikTok). It’s not bad by any means, but the price is outrageous for what it offers. The scent is nice, but I find it a bit simple: it’s just a sweet lavender perfume. Passable, nothing special. Lasts about 4-6 hours, which is decent. The trail is soft; no one will notice you’re wearing it. It’s not the best in the Valentino line; Extradose crushes it in terms of trail, longevity, and depth.
Very delicious; the lavender is the most prominent note, which confirms what gon97 said. I find it more intimate—not for going out to parties, but perfect for a date or a cool afternoon. The longevity is great on my skin, lasting more than eight hours. The trail is moderate.
For going out, dinners, cool afternoons… it has spectacular performance. It’s a fragrance that embraces you and is loved by many, earning plenty of compliments.
Starts with a very intense lavender blast and stays that way. It’s a great perfume—not overly complex but pleasant and attention-grabbing. Recommended.
Now that I have it, I understand the hype. I’m not usually into this type of scent, but I admit it’s a huge hit, especially with younger people and women. Incredible longevity, easily 12 hours, and good projection. If there’s a downside, it can remind you of designer scents like Scandal or Le Beau—note: not identical, but having them together would be redundant. Otherwise, it’s excellent for blind buys and gifting.
It’s a rich, seductive, and sweet fragrance. Even though I’m not a huge fan of overly sweet scents, this is really good. I like it, and so does everyone else. The price here in Argentina is high, as it is with most perfumes. If I could find it at a better price like the first time, I’d consider buying it again. For me, it’s worth it.
Smells great and you can buy it blind with confidence. It’s a simple scent but super easy for everyone to enjoy; it smells like vanilla with a touch of talcum powder added. I’d definitely buy it again.
I’ve been using this for three days, and here’s my honest take: right out of the bottle, it hits you with a strong blast of lavender—not a hint, but a real punch. Then comes a light vanilla note to balance it out. As a niche fragrance, sometimes less is more, but to be honest, I was a bit disappointed; I expected something more complex based on the reviews, and almost no one mentions this. It causes olfactory fatigue after two hours, though it lasts eight on the skin and projects three to four hours. It’s ideal for mild weather, indoors, or with AC, since the projection isn’t suffocating. For the price, it delivers on its design. It’s not for everyone; if you’re looking for something sweet and vanilla-focused, I wouldn’t recommend it because the strong lavender dominates and the other notes get lost. The first thing that came to mind was a church; it fits that vibe perfectly. If you adore sweet scents, don’t get this unless you want to try something different. 7/10, good for special occasions or daily wear if you don’t overdo it.
