Prada Paradoxe is an oriental floral fragrance for women, launched in 2022 by the house Prada. This composition was created by perfumers Nadège Le Garlantezec, Antoine Maisondieu, and Shyamala Maisondieu. In its opening, the fragrance unfolds top notes of pear, tangerine, and bergamot. The heart reveals orange blossom, neroli essence, neroli, and sambac jasmine. To finish, the base notes offer Bourbon vanilla, amber, white musk, and benzoin.

  • On my skin, it dries down very similarly to Givenchy’s L’Interdit Eau de Parfum; they share many notes so it’s no coincidence (pear, orange blossom, jasmine, bergamot, vanilla…). If you’re looking for something that doesn’t resemble any other, don’t look here. Longevity is very good; I applied it yesterday afternoon, took a shower, and I can still smell it on my wrist; I must say that the powdery scent it has now is a lot to my liking. It’s quite wearable in general, and if I had to gift one, I’d go with this.

  • If the pear/neroli/orange blossom note doesn’t appeal to you, stay away. How beautiful it is to test perfumes! With a free sample and a full day of testing, I concluded that maybe the problem is me. I’m not attracted to its olfactory pyramid; it’s too sweet and floral, and I’m a bit tired of neroli/orange blossom. I have a Tesori di Oriente (Hammam, €9) that shares notes with this Prada and I dislike it less because it’s not so sweet; it could be its low-cost distant cousin. It doesn’t smell bad, it didn’t give me a headache, it’s correct and feels quality, but it’s not a perfume I’d buy because I simply don’t like it. I don’t hate it either, but it doesn’t give me that love I need to spend my money on it.

  • A very sweet perfume that, when I wear it, reminds me 98% of Armani Code for Women; I had to look it up to compare them, and they literally smell the same. Nothing new. It lasts forever, muchiiiisiiiiimoooooo, with significant sillage. Very feminine and girly, I almost imagine a young 15-25 year old, a Milipili from Argentina or a Cayetana from Spain. Obviously, every nose is a world, which is why there are thousands of perfumes. Note: I won’t be buying it again.

Yes, it’s sweet and vanilla-forward, very in tune with its era, but it has magic: throughout its evolution, you can feel waves of notes. From the start, you feel the vanilla-infused tangerine, but the flowers peek through constantly; the bergamot sparkles playfully among them and the amber. The musk refreshes that sweetness. For me, who doesn’t like overly sweet scents too much, it’s magical, delicious, and very long-lasting.

I loved it! I agree it’s quite simple and doesn’t bring anything new, but it’s exquisite. Although nothing is declared, what I basically smell is grape, grape caramel. In its dry down, that sweet touch from the vanilla and benzoin becomes more noticeable, and you can perceive the amber.

  • The opening is barely fruity and citrusy, then comes a flood of jasmine ending in a short but intense dry down that’s sweet and enveloping, with a hint of caramel without being heavy. The finish adds warmth and cleanliness. Ideal for feeling sparkly yet polished. It’s not disruptive and might disappoint a bit (I expected more). I’m a fan of the brand and its quality, but in this case, I don’t feel it’s a standout in my collection. Though honestly, I love it.

Pear, orange blossom, jasmine, vanilla… where have I heard this combination? In countless perfumes. Paradoxe has good marketing but it’s just average. It doesn’t stand out; with so many similar scents on the market, it should have had something unique, but it didn’t. It stays there, trying to mark territory but fading into a somewhat diluted aroma that you could cover with any other without spending as much, because it’s not worth it.

I didn’t think I’d like it, but surprises do exist. At first, I thought it was cloying, but then it reorganized itself and the notes took shape. It’s not groundbreaking, but it’s not bad either; it has a lot of presence. Bergamot, orange blossom, neroli, and vanilla (which I noticed at the start) dominate, followed by a citrusy touch, but flowers take over at the end. I love the bottle with the brand logo, something rare these days that’s much appreciated. Longevity is 4-6 hours with good sillage and better projection close to the skin. The only flaw is the price, around $200 for 90ml. Scent 8/10, Sillage 9/10, Longevity 10/10.

  • I searched everywhere for this because I didn’t have it here, so I brought it back from abroad. What a disappointment… It just smells clean, soft, and moderate. I can’t detect any trace of vanilla or pear. Nothing that impressed or caught my attention. I feel ripped off, believe me.

  • Monty Phyton

Warm floral and amber with that ‘clean’ touch everyone loves, though at first it feels a bit generic (reminds me of L’Interdit, Libre, or Voce Viva). But watch out, because over time the resin transforms it into something incredibly delightful. It lasts all day, projects massively, and you only need a single drop. You can detect mandarin, orange blossom, jasmine, and musk, with the benzoin conducting the orchestra from the basics to the complex. It’s pure intrigue, a contradiction that evolves in crescendo. The dry down is spectacular. 🕯️ 7.5/10.🔥

  • Ara Betancourt

I loved it: it’s floral, fruity, sweet, very elegant, and sexy. It lasted me the whole day. The scent is one of my favorites and I wouldn’t trade it for anything 😍

  • White floral with the perfect amount of sweetness for summer. On me, the orange and orange blossom really stand out with a caramelized base. I find it perfectly usable in any season.

  • Definitely the perfume I was looking for for summer. Since I almost always like heavy gourmands, this one is beautiful and feels great to wear.

  • White floral with a light vanilla base. Unfortunately, it gives me a headache, maybe it’s the jasmine note. I liked the opening, a bit fruitier, more than the dry-down.

  • I love the sweet aroma, but it’s a pity it doesn’t last long. It’s light and soft, like an EDT. I thought it would be more imposing, but that’s not the case. I’ll have to try the Intense version. Scent: 8/10, Longevity: 2.5/10.

  • I adore it, but it’s like with Devotion: everyone wears it, and I have this quirk of not wanting to smell like the majority. It’s wonderfully pleasant, lasts forever, and leaves a trail. I like it for winter because that final vanilla and amber give it a very warm, sweet touch.

  • PerfumeurAmateur

True, it’s not a wow, but it’s ideal for traveling. It has notes from several perfumes that are my favorites, and I usually carry them separately for different occasions, but with this one, it’s more than enough. It’s a blend of L’Interdit EDP, Libre by YSL, and at the end, the musk smells like Narciso Rouge Musc Noir.

  • It’s a floral-fruity sweet scent, not too strong and more wearable. I like the dry-down more than the opening, where it smells nice and lasts. Still, I wouldn’t buy it because there are prettier ones on the market; this is a bit of the same thing, a sugary perfume though softer.

  • I bought a decant to test it on my skin and it’s very nice: starts citrusy, almost unisex, then turns floral and sweet into an elegant, woody vanilla without being over the top. The citrus notes stay and balance everything. It feels more feminine to me, but on a man, you wouldn’t notice it’s a woman’s scent; it has its finesse and works for any occasion. The trail isn’t potent despite the price (Lancôme level) and it doesn’t last all day, maybe my nose gets used to it quickly; it lingers better on clothes. I’m not sure if I should buy the 90ml bottle for $200 at stores in Mexico; better as a gift for birthdays or Christmas. For now, stand by.

What can I say? This perfume is perfect. You can’t stop smelling it on your wrist when you test it. Many don’t like it because it’s not innovative, but on me, it made me appreciate florals, which I usually resist because they’re too strong. It doesn’t lose freshness, it’s powdery, and smells clean. Sweet and soft, without headaches. It evokes tenderness, youth, and femininity. Longevity and projection were excellent; my partner noticed it all the time. On skin, it lasted until the next day, and on clothes, two days. Being soft, it’s versatile for any season. I use it in summer, but it would work in all of them. It’s more for day than night. I’m happy I found it. For aroma, longevity, and versatility, it’s a 10/10 for me.

  • ElChapoGourmand

This is a 360-degree perfume: works day and night, in cold or heat. It’s a marvel. Very feminine, youthful, attractive, sweet, and fruity, with a charming white floral. It’s in my top tier along with the Gucci Flora EDT from 2009. It has good longevity; I understand it doesn’t last as long for some, that’s just pH-related. I recommend and defend it with both hands.

  • Daniela constanza

Yes, very generic but rich. No one wrinkles their nose at the smell; it’s quite agreeable. I see it for days in any season and formal situations. For women over 30, it’s divine in the office.

  • I tried Prada Paradoxe in a decant and it’s lovely, feminine, and versatile. The white florals with their sweetness are the soul of it. It works in all seasons, even at 45 degrees. Personally, it’s pleasant but not my favorite from the line; I always prefer the Intense for its definition and strength, though I wouldn’t wear this one during the day in such heat or with just a few sprays. On my skin, the original doesn’t last: after two hours, it’s just skin scent and the trail never arrives. It depends on pH, but if you have grateful skin, it’s the most versatile in the line. I won’t buy it because the Intense works better on me and Virtual Flower is ideal for daytime.

  • ChikisCruz

It’s a battle-ready perfume for any occasion: day, night, parties, office, or vacations. It’s all-terrain. While it doesn’t offer anything groundbreaking, it’s not a bad fragrance; it’s a safe option.

  • Gabriella Sophia

This is the REAL PERFUME. Wow. I feel wealthy, happy, sophisticated, and like a chic lady. It lasts all day on my skin and for days on my clothes. It’s not bothersome; quite the opposite, it creates an atmosphere of abundance and elegance. Who complains about the smell of a new car? That’s exactly what this produces. Everyone asks what I’m wearing. It boosts my mood and self-esteem. I wear it day or night, at the beach, in winter or autumn. Everyone wants it. I recommend it with my eyes closed. 10/10.

  • I absolutely love it; it’s exquisite and fills me with happiness just by smelling it. The issue is it doesn’t last or leave a trail; I sprayed it up to 10 times and can’t smell it from a distance, only right on my skin. Maybe I’ll try the Intense when I run out of this.

  • I liked it; it’s floral but not one-note; the citrus note elevates it and keeps it lively. I’d definitely buy it again. It gives Good Girl a breath of fresh air but feels livelier. Edit: it’s not actually Good Girl, I tested it the same day and mixed up the scents. It’s rich, smells like clean clothes, freshly ironed or sun-dried in the summer.

  • The scent matches the flowers, but the vanilla feels weak. It’s soft, not addictive or memorable; too innocent for my taste. Reminds me of those Chilean children’s books with scents: you’d rub the fruit and smell it, but here it smells more like orange blossom and shredded paper. A definite no for me, even the Intense version.

  • In February I reviewed that it was on standby, and I ended up buying the 90ml bottle because the decant was addictive. I know it’s not original or mind-blowing for many, but for others like me, it has something unique: even though it has notes found in countless perfumes, it develops differently on each person, and the sensations are personal. I’m already halfway through the bottle waiting for a refill; although the cost is outrageous, it’s worth it because it makes me happy and lasts all day. It stays on my clothes until I wash them. The citrus notes with orange blossom and jasmine give a freshness I love, well-balanced sweetness and final musk. Without a doubt, it will stay in my collection, and I hope for God’s sake they don’t reformulate or discontinue it; lately, all houses are coming up with every idea.

  • The more I try the Paradoxe line, the more I like it. My favorite remains the Intense. In my hometown, oranges are common, and this perfume evokes spring for me: rain, first rays of sun, and blooming orange blossoms. I read many saying it’s ‘generic,’ but more than that, I see it as CLASSIC. It’s a classic, elegant, clean scent with a sensual touch when dry. Projection and longevity are good, about 7 hours for me.

  • Today I ran into a sample and I really fell in love. It’s primarily floral (the neroli hits hard), with fruity and vanilla undertones. I see it as elegant for work events, formal lunches, or casual dinners if you want to make a statement just with your scent and leave an olfactory mark. It reminds me of Libre Intense in a floral version, although they don’t share components, my brain linked them. Paradoxe is much rounder and more harmonious. Give it a chance, it’s worth it. It’s on my wishlist; I love it deeply 😍😍😍

  • charlotinable

I didn’t think I’d like it; it’s true it’s not the most novel or grandiose in perfumery, but it’s very pleasant and wearable. Very much in the style of Lancôme’s Idole and YSL’s Libre. Pretty and elegant.

  • I bought it the same day I tested it in-store, but it was very different at home: much subtler and the color was yellowish, not pink like in the tester. I’m absolutely sure I tested the regular version, but the batch must be different. It has an office-formal aura; you notice it in a meeting, but it doesn’t impose elegance. I have samples of the Intense, which is richer, more robust, and fuller-bodied without changing the essence. Moderate longevity of about 6 hours, though it fades; I was told it still smells good after 4 hours.

  • J`adoreunbonparfum

My best friend wears it and I have a soft spot for her. It’s feminine, clean, nothing groundbreaking but very pleasant. I like it, it smells rich. Bonus points for being refillable.

  • Prada Paradoxe is an ode to neroli. In my case, it smells more like tree resin, herbaceous, so a citrus, green, and slightly bitter accord takes over. The vanilla softens it up eventually, but never takes the spotlight; I almost feel it’s astringent and dry. It’s not much like My Way or Voce Viva (which are purely floral and creamy); rather, it reminds me of Natura’s Una Blush. Contrary to general opinion, it’s more special than I imagined: understated, flat, yet surprising and it lasts over 12 hours.

  • It’s soapy, clean, very Libre-esque. Nothing new, but if you like the scent of cleanliness, it works.

  • It’s delicious, delicate, feminine, and unpretentious; it gives me a sense of calm. I loved it the first time I tried it, but when I wanted to smell it again, it was completely gone, not even an hour 😔. If it lasts on you, great—it’s a lovely fragrance—but I’m not going to pay its price with such low projection and longevity on me.

  • It’s a super versatile and potent guy; I loved the extreme longevity. It has an DNA I don’t think anyone has managed to copy. When it first comes out, neroli dominates the jasmine, but dry down the vanilla gets intense; at 12+ hours it leaves a clean, round orange with white flowers. Worth the hype—it’s the longest-lasting on skin I’ve tried, even at arm’s length you can’t tell it’s gone. Leaves a beautiful orange blossom trail.
