First thing that comes to mind is Angels Share. If you’re looking for something similar but more affordable right now, Zara’s Sand Desert at Sunset is the option.

Never caught me; the only time I tried it, it was too intense. Very sweet and spicy, a resounding NO. Nothing like the DNA of One Million. 5/10.

Very elegant, lasts all day, and delivers on everything. I adopted it after seeing a TV ad. Its scent is almost identical to the original, but with an oriental twist—strong and woody.

A curious perfume, curious, curious, because it doesn’t carry apple notes… but to me, it smells like sweet apple with cinnamon. It has a very sophisticated bitter touch; the tobacco and patchouli are way below, almost unnoticeable. You look at the notes and it seems heavier than it is. It has nothing to do with the rest of the line; it totally breaks away from the collection.

Personally, I don’t like it, but it’s a different scent and VERY masculine in my opinion. It feels too mature—not old, just very special—not for everyone, even though it’s already discontinued.

  6. marcelo0908

It will always hurt that they took it off. As always, Paco Rabanne stops making its best perfumes and only sells the mediocre ones.

  7. Salvador Sandoval Luna

The best of the entire saga so far. It was totally different; that tobacco note made it stand out in the cold, rain, or at night. It’s marvelous. Too bad it’s discontinued; I take care of mine like gold.

  8. 1 Million Original gets women’s attention, but it’s not super masculine; the spiced version is the real deal, perfect for mature men, not teens.

  9. I don’t know about you, but I associate this scent with Le Male Elixir by JPG, just a bit subtler and less scandalous.

  10. Perfumería el Kami

One of my favorites, a delicious scent I don’t want to run out of; it keeps me hooked the moment I smell it, pure Paco Rabanne quality.

  11. ChrisRivO

I got this one used, so it must be well-macerated. The opening is weird, but once it dries down, it’s rich, similar to Spicebomb Extreme or Azzaro Wanted by Night. My take: I’m not an expert.

What a shame it’s no longer in production; it’s the best of the best and definitely the king of the One Million series.

  13. It was my signature scent back in 2016 or 2017… I’ll be using it again!

  14. becker32

It has brought me the biggest compliments of my life. I don’t detect the mandarin, just fresh green apple with cinnamon. Sounds simple, but everyone around me loves it. The longevity and projection are a bit weak.

Neither fish nor fowl. The opening is a timid splash of cinnamon with a hidden bitter patchuli. Second disappointment from Puig: it doesn’t project or make a presence. I paid too much and should have looked elsewhere. We got swept up in the hype. Maybe a collector will buy it from me to store. What a rip-off and a letdown. 2019 batch, gold box.

The 2016 batch lasts forever. Without a doubt, it’s the best flanker in the line, even though the original sells the most. The best of them all.

One of the richest scents I’ve ever tried. Out of all the OM versions, this one tops the rest. If you like D&G The One, you’ll love it. It’s discontinued, but I hope they bring something like this back. Incredible projection, but the scent is the only thing that lasts.

Smells good, but the hype is way overblown. Opens with a strong tangerine note that settles into cinnamon and sweet tobacco—nothing heavy. It’s decent, but lacks projection and longevity (only 4-5 hours). For me, it does the job, but it’s not top-tier. There are other One Million versions that smell better and last longer; this one is quite soft.

What really stands out is the quality of the ingredients. As a designer fragrance, it shows. While other homages have lost their appeal, this one still delivers that quality that makes it shine.

  20. Jorge karpiuk

Found it where I least expected. Perfect for cold weather and guys in their 30s. Powerful opening of cinnamon and tangerine that explodes into sweet, pleasant tobacco. It completely escapes the DNA of the original 1 Million. It’s a gem!

The best in the saga, by far. I’m not an expert, but this perfume is pure chocolate. Elegant, captivating, inciting, and provocative. Excellent projection and longevity. Maybe it doesn’t last as long as a Fleur du Male, but if you’re looking for dates or semi-formal gatherings, this is it. It was discontinued last year, so you have to hunt for it if you don’t already own it. Good projection all the time and over 8 hours of wear. The best 1M, no doubt.

The Privé is my favorite in the line, unfortunately discontinued as of 2023. Watch out: if you search, you’ll find it, but prepare your wallet. That’s the power of nostalgic fetishism and speculation. From the original, only a faint scent of apple, spices, and sweetness remains. It’s an amber blend of cinnamon, tobacco, tonka bean, myrrh, and patchouli. Puig doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but they do it brilliantly and people love it. That’s why it’s so popular. Haters or jealous people, whatever. It’s an adult version for 25-30+, ideal for intimate dates. If you want to hit the night out at pubs or clubs to compete, I recommend the classic EDT (even though reformulated, it lasts 7-8 hours), the Parfum, or the Elixir. They say it resembles the niche Oajan by PdM or the Angels’ Share by Kylian. I haven’t smelled the PdM one, and the Kylian one disgusts me. Comparisons and pretentious hype-beasts spending 250-300 euros make me sweat. I’ve smelled it before. Imagine an impossible mix of Azzaro Wanted by Night, the first batches of CH Men, and 20% of the original EDT. Some say it’s like Mercedes-Benz Club Black, but I don’t get that. Nowadays, perfumers perform miracles with computers. I’d wear it in the evening, all year except summer when it’s above 28-30°C. Made to be stylish without looking like a clueless teen, a slob, or a wannabe. Lasts 6 hours without issues, just enough to charm without being overwhelming. Great trail for the first two hours without being a nuisance. An absolute steal.

1 Million Privé is very masculine, nothing like the traditional one which is more for teenagers. This one is more mature, refined, and elegant. It was my partner’s Christmas gift in 2019. I was head over heels for the cinnamon and tobacco. I usually don’t like tobacco in fragrances, but this smells great and is unique. Elegant, sexy, and sweet. Irresistible. It reminds me of The One by D&G, but it’s much better. Now the longevity is moderate, not more than 6 hours, and the trail is soft. The bottle is gorgeous. I couldn’t finish the bottle because I ended up hating it; the tobacco got too much for me, and I ended up using it as a room spray. I always say the 1 Million bottles look better in 100ml because they’re streamlined and look like gold bars, though they’re more like copper.

This perfume has nothing to do with any other 1 Million. The tobacco and leather make it perfect for parties and night events. It’s a shame it’s been discontinued 🙁

Rich aroma that hits the spot. Ideal for dates and closeness, but not as an all-night club fragrance because the projection is short. It reminded me a bit of Man in Black by Bvlgari.
