Descripción

Phantom Intense by Rabanne is an oriental fougère fragrance for men. Launched in 2024, this composition was created by Dominique Ropion, Anne Flipo, Juliette Karagueuzoglou, and Paul Guerlain. In its opening, the top notes unfold with cardamom, lemon, bergamot, and rhubarb. The heart reveals a harmony of lavender, cedar, geranium, and patchouli, while the base settles with vanilla, balsam of Peru, and vetiver.

  • There are people who have the perfume before it hits the market, sure, there are haters, but it’s normal to find reviews from people who haven’t tested it in real life.

  • marcocaurelio

I have this one early on, just for those who complain I do reviews before the official launch. It’s about 80% Phantom Parfum with that spiced orange blossom note that gives it more class than its siblings. Perfect for nights and parties. It’s a good fragrance, but I recommend smelling it before buying.

  • I went to Druni at CC El Deleite in Aranjuez to try it out. At first, it smells like Phantom, but over time, MYSFL comes through. You don’t notice that lavender-chocolate touch from the original as much; instead, an orange blossom very similar to MYSFL really stands out.

  • So I have to agree with roberv27. The opening impressed me, perhaps because I noticed it very differently from my olfactory memory of the original Phantom. This is much lighter. Very much in the MYSLF line, though with the difference that this one leans more towards that damn toasted vanilla (Phantom line), but much less marked than in the original, whereas MYSLF goes more towards ambroxan. It didn’t disgust me at all; in fact, I’d say I liked it, but these are scents not in my style, so I’m not considering buying it.

  • Tested at Primor, very similar to its sister the Parfum but has enough to be the best of the entire line. It’s a super sexy sweet scent, not cloying. I just sprayed it twice on my wrist and the scent lasted until 8 hours. Before getting this, I’ll go for the Scandal Parfum, which is worth more.

  • Another Phantom with a different colored bottle, lol, the scent is the same as the original and the Parfum, they don’t even try to hide it anymore, I have it and I’m going to gift it to a friend. Citrusy that dies after a few minutes to settle into an ultra-vanilla lavender that is extremely synthetic. Watch out, it’s not a bad perfume, it’s made to please the masses, but for god’s sake it smells exactly like the other two, lol, it’s a rip-off. If you’re a fan of this line, I recommend buying whichever of the three is cheapest. Projection and longevity: well, like everything Paco Rabanne releases… excellent, 8 hours without messing up. Scent: It doesn’t smell bad, nor is it personally my favorite, but it makes me sick that it smells exactly like its older siblings.

I smell an acidic plum that adds to the typical citrus opening of its Phantom siblings, in the style of some Bad Boy. As for the dry down, it’s very similar to the Parfum; that vanilla/lavender duo is felt throughout the perfume’s life, which should be around 2 hours of projection and 8 hours close to the skin. Rich, not much more.

  • WichoLePue

So: nothing new, I expected something fresher and in the end it is, but basically it’s a refined version of the Parfum. That said, it projects like a beast for a good while, then tames down and stays close to the skin for a bit. I like that it’s refillable.

  • ValenValen

I get an acidic plum note that adds to the typical citrus opening of its Phantom siblings, in the style of some Bad Boy. The dry down is very similar to the Parfum; that vanilla/lavanda duo lingers throughout the entire life of the scent, which clocks in at around 2 hours of projection and 8 hours on skin. Rich, but not much more.

Paco Rabanne Phantom Intense is a woody, spicy, and aromatic fragrance. Its opening is similar to the 2021 Phantom: sweet and fruity, like a mango. The difference is that over time the scent becomes spicier, blending cardamom and black pepper with vanilla, which gives it a very appealing charm. You can also detect a hint of lavender, but the main focus is the spicy and woody accords. Being fruity and spicy, it could be worn on fresh days like early spring, but mainly in autumn and winter; never in heat, especially with what we’re experiencing in 2024. Suitable situations are casual rather than formal: school, hangouts with friends, or nights out. Regarding longevity, it’s been very good, over 10 hours, with a noticeable trail in the first few hours. It’s undeniably a pleasant fragrance, but you must like modern, sweet, and spicy scents to enjoy it. Personally, I like it dry, but the scent tires me out very quickly.

It’s like if the Original Phantom and the Phantom Parfum had a child with an intensity touch as the name suggests… You feel the fruit from the first one, the EDT, in the opening, and then the vanilla from the Parfum in the dry down. Honestly, it’s very similar to its predecessors, so if you have both, this might not add anything new. That said, it’s a rich scent like the other Phantoms, a smell everyone will like. If you buy it, I don’t think you’ll regret it if it’s your first Phantom. Good longevity, moderate projection. By the way, in the opening it’s very similar to Baharara King due to the fruity notes; here they feel less synthetic, but it still resembles it quite a bit.

Paco Rabanne’s Phantom Intense is woody, spicy, and aromatic. It starts just like the 2021 Phantom, sweet and fruity like a mango. Then it turns spicier, blending cardamom and black pepper with vanilla, very pleasant. There’s a hint of lavender, but the spice and wood dominate. Thanks to the fruity and spicy notes, it could work on fresh spring days, but mostly in fall and winter—never in heat like this 2024. It’s better for casual wear: school, hanging out with friends, or nights out. The longevity is brutal, lasting over 10 hours with a noticeable sillage at the start. It’s undeniably pleasant, but you need to like modern, sweet, and spicy scents. I like it dry, but it wears off on me very quickly.

  • diego2020

I liked it and bought it. Easy to wear. Sweet but not cloying like the Original Phantom, with slightly sparkling and spicy notes, subtly mature ones that accompany the entire wear. It’s a Phantom Parfum with a more mature profile. Projection and longevity are good, but don’t expect it to be a beast. Edit: it reminds me a bit of One Million Lucky.

  • This is the best Phantom I’ve tried, even though I haven’t tested the Legion version. It has a very conquering opening, though nothing groundbreaking; it’s an outstanding fragrance.

  • santoscalero

Sweet, spicy citrus opening. Lavanda hits quickly and becomes the most lasting note until vanilla with woody nuances kicks in before everything fades. They’ve toned it down like in Bad Boy Cobalt or Sauvage, essentially ‘blueing’ the fragrance. Good longevity, over 8 hours on skin with decent projection for the first hour or so, depending on the heat. This is what I liked most of all the Phantoms; while not original, it’s the winning horse today. Versatile, suitable for any age and informal use.

  • BenjaParfums

Citrus and spicy opening with sweet notes that become noticeable gradually. To me, it’s exactly the same as its predecessor, Phantom Parfum, except for a citrus opening that later turns sweet, not heavy but noticeable. I see it as versatile for daily wear, but not for hot climates because it can get cloying. Longevity is average, depending on the person, but it doesn’t drop below 6 hours on skin, projecting well during the first hour without issues.

  • Ángel Jiménez

It follows the Phantom line, though it has ‘Intense’ in the name, that’s where it stops. It doesn’t improve projection or longevity. It has a citrus opening that transforms into a sweet, vanilla scent, almost identical to Phantom Parfum, though I think this Intense is more wearable. It can get cloying if you overapply. It has good longevity, 7-8 hours on skin, and strong projection for the first 2-3 hours. Good for cool or cold climates, though not as much as the Parfum; this one could even fit into daily wear better. High price for what it offers, around $100; if you find it cheaper at duty-free or on sale, it’s worth it, otherwise, I don’t think it’s worth it. Performance: 7/10, Price: 5/10, Longevity: 7/10, Projection: 7/10, Scent: 8.4/10.

  • Ángel Jiménez

It follows the Phantom line DNA, but despite the ‘Intense’ in the name, that’s the only thing. It doesn’t improve projection or performance. It has a citrus opening that turns sweet and vanilla, almost identical to the previous Phantom Parfum. I think the Intense is more wearable, though it can get cloying if you overapply. Good longevity of 7-8 hours on skin and strong projection for the first 2-3 hours. Good for outings in cool weather, though less so than the Parfum; this one even suits daily wear better. Price is a bit high at $100; if you find it cheaper at duty-free or on sale, it’s fine, otherwise I don’t think it’s worth it. Ratings: 7/10 Value, 5/10 Price, 7/10 Longevity, 7/10 Projection, 8.4/10 Scent.

  • I wish I had this type of fragrance 25 years ago for going out. I think this Rabanne DNA is excellent for that. Young people especially will enjoy it a lot.

  • Acceptable longevity, but it’s a very ordinary perfume… Try it before you buy, don’t waste your money on these perfumes…

  • The Phantom line attracts me with that rare sweetness. In this flanker, they tried to make it more accessible with fresh elements, which takes it away from the Phantom I actually like. I won’t deny you can feel the DNA, but this version’s dry down reminds me of Invictus Victory Elixir, and I stick with that because it does a better job with scent, longevity, and sillage. Maybe I’ll buy it as a collector’s piece, but for now, despite being a fan, no thanks.

  • Van der wiel

I don’t understand some of the comparisons; I don’t see the resemblance to what they mention. It’s the classic Phantom but fresher, with reduced sweetness, making it more wearable for daily use. It’s not cloying, ideal for everyday wear and I think for any climate, though in extreme heat there are better options. It’s the one I’ve liked most from this brand.

  • It’s the evolution of the Parfum, leaving behind the intensity to be lighter with sweeter notes, ideal for any occasion, though it stands out more at night. Longevity is moderate, lasting about 5 hours while holding its notes. In my experience, I’ve seen it priced higher than the Parfum, probably because it’s recent, but then it dropped to almost match it.

  • It reminds me a lot of Versace Eros Flame, probably due to the geranium, vetiver, vanilla, and cedar. Honestly, it smells like a generic party fragrance for teenagers; it adds nothing new. You can pick up a stone and find ten dupes. The opening is rich, but the heart and dry down are very similar to Eros Flame or the original. I wouldn’t buy it or recommend it.

  • dan_Guardian

This Phantom is my favorite. It smells like citrus cookies with vanilla. It’s linear, but I love it.

  • For me, this is the definitive Phantom. That orange and vanilla blend is brutal. The performance is top-tier for PR; they never miss. Projection is light, nothing heavy, but enough to get noticed. In short, a good perfume: 8/10.

  • To me, it’s the best Phantom; that mix of orange and vanilla is spectacular. The performance has no complaints, as is typical for PR, which never disappoints. The projection is light, not heavy, but enough to make people notice. Overall, a good perfume, 8/10.

  • emporioblanko

The notes are wrong; you’re listing the same notes as Phantom Parfum, and it has nothing to do with it. On the other hand, the Phantom line is by far the worst in Paco Rabanne; not a single one saves the day, not even the bottle is horrible. I thought this could be interesting, but it wasn’t either. Invictus, One Million, and the XS ones they no longer release and were the best are what’s worth it. I wouldn’t use the Phantom ones even if they were given to me.

  • Just tested this… 4 huge noses behind me. The result is an earthy, vanilla-scented perfume with a caramelized citrus opening that I didn’t perceive in other flankers. Then lavender and slightly resinous vanilla, and nothing else. Its performance is weak compared to the parfum; in my opinion, the parfum is much more substantial and long-lasting than this one. I didn’t like it at all.

  • Delicious fragrance with that spicy and warm touch, very good; it was my first perfume. I bought it in summer and wore it even in winter; compliments came as expected, and it’s not cloying at all.

  • I own the Original and the Elixir. This Intense follows the path of the original with several modifications. Almost the same opening, but the dry down changes the sharp or stinging character of the original for a sweet caramelized touch, like TMWI. It smells good. Among the three, I prefer the Elixir as it offers something different, however, this one isn’t bad; if you like the original but want something less ‘sharp’, go for this one. In terms of longevity, it fell short compared to the other two. We’ll see if it improves with time…

  • Cuero Azafranado

The fragrance opens explosively, very aromatic, with accords that could make it seem fresh (which it isn’t), probably due to citrus in the opening, but these disappear as it dries, leaving only a slight reminiscence throughout the entire duration. It also lends a clean character thanks to the presence of a somewhat creamy lavender that combines perfectly with the youthful and sweet soul of cardamom and vanilla, plus a slight but noticeable woody touch that adds masculinity. While it’s not fresh, it has considerable versatility; it’s not totally sweet, considered a blue fragrance but sweeter than ideal for wearing year-round without issues (depends on the climate; if you live in a low-temperature zone, it could be all-terrain). In summary: creamy, vanilla-scented aroma with a clean lavender touch, quite enjoyable. If you’re looking for originality, follow the modern trend of sweet fragrances like other Rabanne or Jean Paul Gaultier ones. Occasions: where it shines most is in night outings, parties, or dates, with that Rabanne flirtatious and playful character; but thanks to the lavender and subtle citrus, it has greater versatility and isn’t bad to use as a daytime scent if the temperature doesn’t exceed 25 degrees. Longevity: 6 or 7 hours, projecting well for 3 hours, then more discreet (depends on pH). Rating: 9/10.

  • Diego Leon289

Very rich, youthful perfume. Aromatic and citrusy opening, but not too fresh (a plus, very rich opening), and the dry down is rum combined with orange blossom and other components that make it unique and distinguishable from other perfumes. Ideal for people under 25 and for parties or casual, informal events; can be used daily too if it’s not hot.

  • DISAPPOINTED BY ITS PERFORMANCE: The scent is pleasant, very reminiscent of the original but with a more herbal opening that fades quickly. Lavender/vanilla stand out with a subtle woody touch; it’s a more versatile flanker that ends up sweeter than it starts. Unfortunately, it didn’t generate any compliments or negative comments; that department is lacking. I find it relatively versatile for day and night, heat (not extreme or beach) and cold, for casual wear; I wouldn’t use it for sports, the gym, the office, or formal events. It’s a daily fragrance, maybe for a date, but I’d probably choose something else. Its performance disappointed me; it claims to be Eau de Parfum Intense but lasted only 6 hours with low sillage and projection, so it wasn’t very noticeable to me or others. The price, for what it offers in performance, seems excessive, almost a rip-off, too expensive for what you get. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone; just my personal experience. Compliments: 5, Longevity: 6, Projection: 4, Sillage: 4, Price: 4. TOTAL: 4.6

  • A lavender and cardamom bomb that evolves into soft vanilla tones. It’s a modern, aromatic, and smooth fougère. People who get close to you will give you compliments. The longevity is quite extensive; after 8 hours, you still detect it when you move. I found the Elixir more original and distinctive, though it has nothing to do with this one.
