Viktor&Rolf’s Spicebomb awakens the senses with a bold combination of spices and masculine elements. The opening is an explosion of pink pepper and saffron, spicy and vibrant. In the heart, cinnamon and leather add warm, sensual depth, balancing intensity with soft nuances. The base of tobacco and vetiver gives it a lasting, masculine signature. It settles with elegance, a persistent but balanced trail. Recommended for those seeking an intense and distinctive fragrance. Although price is a factor, its complexity and longevity make it attractive for a memorable olfactory statement.
Rich perfume, which today doesn’t live up to its name. The same feeling I got when I smelled Versace The Dreamer. Neither here nor there, for personal enjoyment, going to work, intimate moments. I expected more. To sum up: pleasant fragrance, not invasive, doesn’t project, doesn’t last even 4 hours.
Smells good, generic, not eye-catching, doesn’t stand out at all. It comes across like many other sweet fragrances you’ve smelled before. Not worth it. Maybe it was good when it first launched. I don’t know why it has so much popularity. Simply not for that much. It’s indifferent to me.
I love this perfume; I see it as very different from the rest I own. Those notes of cinnamon and tobacco make it so elegant and high-quality. It’s not strong; I see it as versatile; it’s my favorite perfume.
I wouldn’t ‘wear’ it ever due to the sweet opening, but I recognize a chord evolution typical of a chameleon. It’s a FOUR-TIME JOURNEY to enjoy at home: 1.-The citrus punch is moderate; the opening is too sweet cinnamon (that sweetness kills me; personally, I don’t want to smell like that). 2.-When the cinnamon mellows, the combo WINS BIG: blend of blond tobacco and velvet, nothing scratchy, far from a macho vibe. A clean accord is perceived, slightly talc-like, towards peach (unlisted notes, don’t overwhelm me). Saffron rounds off the opening and heart. 3.-It changes everything again, very balanced. Tobacco and velvet soften, the talc-like peach fades, and it becomes a more mitigated (and dry) cinnamon close to the skin, with a final pepper spike that fades. The pepper emerges as a sweet concession and disappears quickly. 4.-Everything mellows towards clean incense while the vetiver smooths out the tobacco and velvet, leaving it as the finale. At this point, support your obsession with enjoying fragrances; you won’t believe the symphony in a single bottle. I’m not exaggerating, treat yourselves to this taste and let me know.
Friends, the new ones, the most recent in store, how long do they last??
Very good fragrance. At first spray, rich pepper and bergamot; an hour later, cinnamon and pepper with a light citrus touch. It’s long-lasting, but close to the skin, for personal enjoyment. Don’t look for a trail or for it to stand out, because that’s not the case. It compensates with its characteristic scent, which, in my opinion, isn’t that similar to Bulgari Man in Black; ByB is heavier and has harder notes. It’s recommended, mostly for its low cost.
I’m usually into high-quality niche perfumes, but today I’d say Spicebomb is one of the three designer scents I’d take to a perfume store. It’s so good; that rich, sweet, and spicy blend is very appealing and gets lots of compliments. It has a sweet base but isn’t cloying like Paco Rabanne’s Scandal or recent launches, with spices where pepper and cinnamon stand out. Don’t hesitate to buy it; it’s top-notch. The other versions seem terrible and don’t come close to this original, the only one that stands out and is worth it. I’m going to try the new one, Spicebomb Dark Leather, to see what they did there.
I passed on this fragrance for years because I’m not a fan of spicy scents; in my cities (GDL and León), it’s hot almost all year, cooling off only in Dec/Jan. A few weeks ago, I got an irresistible deal on Amazon (under 1000 MXN) and bought it. The scent is cinnamon with a good handful of spices and a touch of leather. It’s more versatile than I imagined; moderate projection but outstanding longevity. I’d say it’s usable all year, especially at night. Sensual aroma, good for dates but not for a first date. 7/10.
Very delicious, from opening to dry down cinnamon takes the lead. Spiced with sweet touches, smells like a cinnamon dessert.
After the 2011 crisis, I decided to refresh my collection in 2023. At Primor, I spotted a bottle that called my name and design: Spicebomb. I tested it dry and thought, ‘Come on, this needs to be on skin!’ It fascinated me; it smells like spices with cinnamon, sweet yet spicy. Since then, watching YouTube videos, I’ve rediscovered this hobby that’s emptying my wallet. It’s original, eye-catching, and fun; some perfumes suit certain personalities. People always tell me, ‘I don’t know what you smell like, but I love it.’ My batch from late 2022/23 (bought in Feb 2023) lasts 5-6 hours, far less than it did at the start, but the scent is fantastic. With so many perfumes, you don’t need them to last 8 or 10 hours if you’re not going to finish the bottles. Apply well and reapply whenever you want. With joy!
Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb: Explosion of spice and sensuality. Since 2012 it has captivated with its distinctive aroma. Pink pepper and cinnamon opening, followed by intense leather and saffron, with a tobacco and woody vetiver base. Medium longevity and projection, lasts a couple of hours without being loud. Metallic pomegranate bottle that reflects its explosive essence. Sensual and sophisticated, leaves a good impression. Visit my channel Rosko Perfumes for more details.
As a woman, I hate it.
Sweet juice of the gods, can’t wait to try Extreme.
Absolute madness of deliciousness. I can’t even think about Extreme, it’s delirious, an atomic bomb.
Good for cold climates. Nice opening, lasts 6-7 hours on skin and days on clothes. If you like spices, you’ll love it.
In my top 10 alongside Extreme. Both are beasts in longevity and projection. The opening is citrusy and spicy (pepper, bergamot, cinnamon) giving way to saffron, then a spiced tobacco with leather. Round and far from the common, even though it’s an EDT. Lasts 24 hours on skin, projects strongly at first then stays close to the skin. It’s intense, better in cold weather than summer, and while it’s not a blind buy, it could be a signature scent if you dare.
Oct 2022 batch: Delicious and versatile cinnamon, but on my skin it fades in a heartbeat. At this price in Colombia, it sounds like a scam.
Stupendous perfume for cold weather: spicy, cinnamon-rich, and delicious. Extreme is better, but this one is fantastic.
Spicy opening with tons of cinnamon, smells a lot like room spray. Lasts 8 hours on skin, but I’m not buying it; great for testing if you like cinnamon as the star.
Exquisite, sophisticated, and unique. That’s how I would describe this masterpiece. I’ve never heard anything like this delight before. Its creators were clearly inspired when they made it.
I love it, it’s a delicious scent: spicy, sweet, and slightly spicy from the cinnamon. It’s become one of my favorites, but I wish it lasted longer. I don’t know if it’s my pH or a weaker reformulation, but I’d like it to last more than 4 hours. Also, for the price, I’d want a better atomizer; the one included sucks, and due to the bottle shape, I’ve missed sprays. Recommended for those who like sweet-spicy scents, but better to try first or buy a decant, as there will surely be some who won’t like it. And in my case, the longevity is a shame: although it’s not extremely expensive, it’s not cheap either. I understand that for some, having to carry a decant or lasting only 2 or 3 hours is unacceptable.
Just like the first Spicebomb EDT. The spice bombs from V&R, the Dutch duo Vitorio and Luccino, were a hit that brought them fame and fortune. This creation by Olivier Polge, Chanel’s master perfumer, was the first in the saga back in 2012. Polge, a sharp guy who knows his stuff, crafted a lighter version of the near-niche hit Tom Ford’s ‘Tobacco Vanille’, but tailored it for the masses who spend their money on pop perfumes. What could possibly go wrong? Nothing. The grenade-shaped bottle even spawned imitators. The scent is a remake: a non-green fougère base, heavy on the spices (pink pepper, cinnamon, paprika, saffron) creating sweet-spicy bursts, all loaded with super-sweet elemi and a background of ambered blonde tobacco and vetiver, kept very soft for a seductive touch. Does it work? Yes. Is it a rocket? No. Reformulated down in 2024, which is scarier than death. I have a batch from Nov 2023 and it lasts max 5 hours, barely skin-deep on the last sprays. If you have old bottles, enjoy them. The Extreme, pricier and harder to find, is the same thing with oversaturated vanilla and a hint of whisky. I neither love nor hate it, and it’s not the nightwear scent the charlatans claimed. To me, it’s unisex; it reminds me of a Lattafa Kahmrah without the cinnamon cookies. Plus, they reformulated that one too, and the price is staggering. I’m sticking with this first EDT, which despite being 12 years old, has aged well. Salut i força al canut. Carpe diem.
No doubt it deserves the name ‘bomb’. From the start, an explosion of spices that gives energy and power. It’s like the warmth of a fireplace in winter mixed with adrenaline. Intense, loaded with sweet spices made for the cold. The first impression is that dose of pepper and cinnamon, warm and enveloping. It has a sweet layer that balances the energy, giving it a unique personality. The intensity and depth are perfect for autumn and winter. Champion longevity: it lasts all day and projects well, filling the room. But it has a downside: in enclosed spaces it can be overwhelming, excessive if you’re not careful. Not ideal for small offices or places without ventilation. It’s striking that the tobacco and leather are barely noticeable. Although they’re there, they aren’t as prominent as I expected. I would have liked more tobacco, which is one of my favorite notes. Still, the spices and sweetness work perfectly without them. It’s bold but not aggressive, perfect for those seeking confidence without intimidation. Immediate and lasting impact, ideal for standing out in cold climates. Just make sure you’re in the right place, as the intensity can be excessive in the wrong circumstances.
Viktor & Rolf’s Spicebomb is a classic, an olfactory spice bomb noticeable from the very first second. Strong opening of pepper, tobacco, and a citrus touch (bergamot or grapefruit). As it dries down, cinnamon gives a sweet warmth alongside a subtle leather. Over time, the light pepper, cinnamon, more noticeable tobacco, leather, and vetiver stand out better. Great option for cold days, from morning until dinner or dates. They say it doesn’t last as before, but I bought it in 2024 and it lasts at least 8 hours, even passing 12. Good projection for the first hour. Good price if you don’t grab it at department stores; look for deals (around $100 for 100ml). Not a blind buy, test on skin first. Ratings: Scent 8.5/10, Price 7.5/10, Longevity 8.5/10, Projection 8/10, Overall Smell 9.3/10.
Cinnamon, lots of cinnamon. If you don’t like this note, run. It’s the younger sister of ‘Bulgari Man in Black’—this one is for the young crowd, while Bulgari is for the gentleman, more nocturnal and sophisticated. Here, cinnamon rules; in the other, it’s all about leather. It’s an innocent ‘Spice Bomb,’ Christmas in a bottle. Smells like a candy stick shop, bathed apples, and sweets. Total gourmand aroma.
Pleasant surprise. Looks youthful but with character. The opening is a citrus bomb—sharp and radiant—with spicy undertones pushing through, especially pink pepper. As it dries down, cinnamon and saffron take over until the very end. Then comes the subtle tobacco and leather that give it body. It’s youthful, but in a mature, formal way. Perfect for cold weather, night, and semi-formal occasions. Leaves a great trail and the performance is solid. For the price, it’s a real steal.
A fragrance that truly exists and is top-tier, but the battery life is terrible: 1 hour on skin, 2 on clothes. I’m not coming back.
Absolute beast for winter; it projects like crazy and I’ve gotten compliments left and right. It’s a bomb. I bought it in summer, but on those freezing nights, it was a monster. Lasts 10-12 hours on skin, and on clothes? Forget about it. Can’t wait to try the Extreme version.
The crown jewel among designer scents, hands down the best pick you can make.
A real treat.
A bomb. 💣 On these cold days, it’s explosive and absolutely delicious. You can smell the cinnamon, tobacco, pepper, and other spices. Decent projection, about two hours of intense sillage, even a bit of sillage invasion. Longevity is just right for an EDT, around 5 to 6 hours. I hadn’t tried the Spicebomb line before and loved it. I’ll try the other flankers soon. Despite its age, I feel it’s modern and masculine. It leaves an impression, it’s for getting compliments and being the center of attention. 10/10 ❤️
I like it a lot, but its longevity and sillage aren’t its strong suit. I spray it on my clothes and neck, and I can’t smell it after two hours. I’ve gotten compliments, but otherwise, I don’t think I’ll buy it again.
Very delicious; the cinnamon is what really stands out.
Curious bottle; the packaging makes you want to own it. The opening is a rich spice bomb, but after an hour, I stopped smelling it. Then it came back, and so on for about six hours, waxing and waning. Maybe it’s me; at times I can’t smell it at all.
Exactly as the name suggests. If you want to smell like pepper, cinnamon, leather, and vanilla (even though it’s not listed), this is the one. I’m fascinated by it, but it can be overwhelming in the heat. It’s sweet, very spicy, projects well, and lasts quite a bit. I’ve gotten compliments. Authentic, mysterious, and extroverted.
At first, it hits a bit hard. Cinnamon, saffron, tobacco, leather, and pepper are a spice bomb. Then it dries down to be balsamic and sweet, almost vanilla-like over tobacco. It’s like a lighter version of Tobacco Vanille, not cloying, but overwhelming for many. Only for fall or winter. Performance is just okay. The bottle is great and the atomizer is excellent. Don’t buy blindly.
I tried this pomegranate scent and it tastes like cinnamon—warm, woody, and spicy. You can definitely smell the cinnamon mixed with leather, tobacco, and chili. Perfect for nights and cold weather, plus I love the pomegranate bottle design.
At this point, I split fragrances into two: those that perform and those that barely last. Savage Elixir costs a fortune but delivers like an elixir. This Spicebomb, however, while original and characterful, neither lasts nor projects; it’s a waste for its price. If it performed better, I’d buy it, but it doesn’t. Scent: 8, Projection: 6.5, Longevity: 6.
Great perfume. For an EDT, it lasts quite a bit and projects really well. It’s very masculine too. The spicy notes really stand out, especially the paprika. Highly recommended, for sure.
