They gave it to me as a gift, and honestly, I loved it. It has a pleasant, intense smell with medium projection, neither too much nor too little. The longevity is normal for a cologne rather than a perfume. It’s great for winter, autumn, and even spring, but I find it suffocating for summer. I think it works well day or night too.

  • I use it in my daily routine: if a perfume is wearable, I use it, period. This adds something different to my rule of smelling different every day; it’s a sweetness that doesn’t overwhelm, with that oriental and leather touch that makes it elegant yet youthful. Watch out, I don’t recommend it in extreme heat because it doesn’t mix well with sweat. If you’re looking for something different, striking, that people like and generates compliments, here it is: it lasts a long time, though the sillage is moderate (ideal for the office). I also use Sauvage, Invictus Legend, even Scandal (I live in a moderate climate) and I’m moving toward Kenzo EDT Intense. Enjoy fragrances according to the day’s outfit, how you feel. That’s the function of aroma: not just to enchant others, but yourself. Cheers.

I got it as a gift three years ago and keep it as a good memory. It’s ideal for Saturday nights out when it’s cold, but not for daily wear. In the heat, its sweetness can be suffocating, so it’s a very specific-use fragrance. Cheerful, wearable, and perfect for winter parties. I give it an 8/10 because the price has dropped, and although the reformulation makes it more linear, it remains effective with its essence. A good option to gift to a recent high school grad heading to college.

Hi! I’m not an expert on perfumes, but I use fragrances frequently. In my opinion, it smells enchanting, but prices here in Argentina are high, and I was hoping for better longevity and sillage. It’s warm, ideal for autumn, sweet without being cloying, and perfect for the night.

  • It starts citrusy and calms down quickly, smelling like Axe Chocolate Cinnamon—it’s apple and chocolate instantly. The liquor, leather, and vanilla come in later, blending with the sweetness. The woody cedar stays in the background, like apple and cinnamon air fresheners, without being overpowering. As it dries, it becomes woody, a bit generic but spicy and pleasant; it manages to keep that first-hour aroma. Over time, the wood takes over; I think it’s all cedar. My skin dilutes it quickly, but the sweetness lasts 7 hours close to the skin with a chocolatey wood touch. By hour 9, only the distant cedar remains, almost imperceptible. For nightwear, it can be overwhelming in the heat. The box is pretty; I imagine chocolate instead of blue suede. The bottle is typical of the XS line and one of my favorites, but before buying, I’d try similar ones with one or two different notes.

  • Out of my boyfriend’s entire collection, this is one of my favorites, right alongside Le Male Le Parfum and Scandal EDT by JPG (though Pure XS might be number one because of how much I love it). It has me completely hooked: it’s not invasive, but you definitely notice it, and it has a mysterious vibe that I adore. The best part is it’s not as trendy as other Paco Rabanne scents; in my circle, no one uses it except him. It’s perfect for fall and winter, though it also works in spring. While it’s ideal for nights out, dates, or events, its citrus opening makes it valid for daily wear too. Verdict: a sure hit 😊

I’m having trouble distinguishing the notes; I just smell liquor, myrrh, and cashmere. It’s fine for cold weather, but it’s not my favorite. Without a doubt, I prefer Pure XS Night; this one smells more mature and a bit powdery. Final rating: 6.5/10.

  • I’ve found my favorite. These warm autumn scents are a dream. On my skin, the citrus top notes give way to vanilla and cinnamon tones, with a standout resinous, chocolatey vibe from the myrrh. I thought the liquor note would be too obvious and hold me back since I’m not a fan of smelling like alcohol, but here it’s just a subtle hint for a playful touch, nothing exaggerated. It could be a signature scent for fall and winter: works for daily wear (though it might get tiring if worn every single day) and is ideal for going out or a date where you want to make an impression without being overwhelming. It has an interesting mysterious-playful edge; I think the myrrh is key. Good power and longevity, about 8 hours. Price: around 50 euros for 100 ml, not bad at all.

Just bought and tried it; I’d never heard of it before and I really like it. It smells amazing, or at least, it’s my style. It’s very different from Invictus Victory—it’s a fresher, more versatile version. I think it’s wearable year-round; I’ll keep using it and give my final verdict later. Just to add, girls love it 😉

  • If you’re over 30 and looking for something powerful for the night, this is it. It stands out from the crowd, and compared to its competitors, it’s the best option: mature and well-balanced. It has great longevity and projection, perfect for dates and nights out. You can wear it daily in winter, but alternate scents so it doesn’t get old. Buy blind, it never disappoints.

  • It smells like chocolate deodorant, or straight-up Axe chocolate, which isn’t bad. However, the cinnamon feels uncomfortable, heavy, and hot to me, like a mix of sweat, cinnamon, barbecue, and sunscreen. After 3 hours, it becomes more tonka-based and pleasant. It reminds me of Hugo Boss Bottled.

  • It reminds me exactly of what the XS smelled like years ago; I guess the puree they added is painless.

  • CarlosMHG23

I could start by talking about its unique aroma, which is outside the norm for what we expect from PR. Its citrus, sweet, and woody notes make it a compliment bomb and a seduction magnet; when I wear it, I know someone will ask what I’m wearing, and for perfumers, that means a lot. On my skin, it lasts more than 6 hours, invades any space, and even more so in enclosed areas. Without a doubt, one of the best fragrances I’ve ever used.

  • Bought in March 2024, it lives up to the good reviews: delicious aroma. I don’t find it as nocturnal as expected; it works perfectly for daytime too. However, projection and longevity are low; after a while, I only smell it on the application points, and after a few hours, not even that. It’s true that this transition season brings colds that affect the nose. We’ll see if it works better with maceration and a clear nose, because I love the scent.

  • I think this is an underrated gem among all the One Million or Scandal options. For cool night weather, it’s one of my preferred choices; it performs well and most people like it. It’s a different scent with that myrrh and that ‘Coca-Cola’ aroma; I absolutely love it. Compared to XS Night, I lean slightly more towards this one for better versatility and a more charming scent, though it loses the Night’s incredible longevity.

  • Julian Gil

I’m updating my review again: I confirm everything, it’s a charming, unique, and personality-packed scent that performs phenomenally. From the 2022 batch, 7-8 sprays last 8-12 hours and project strongly for almost the entire day. It has the best of both commercial and niche worlds: candied fruity vanilla wrapped in whiskey and a leather base, combined with exotic, strong myrrh from the start. A masterpiece. It has a distinctive character and a common side that everyone likes. It smells a bit like Coca-Cola with incense, sounds weird but it works. I don’t recommend it blindly due to the resinous-incense myrrh, which isn’t for everyone. But if you like it, you’ll love it. It’s my favorite.

  • It has become one of my favorites. The aromatic green notes remind me of 212 VIP Black, but with a warmer, sweeter twist, making it more versatile. I recommend it blindly if you like this style. Note: many people say it smells like Coca-Cola or vanilla, but for me, it’s something else; it seems they can’t distinguish scents.

  • Paco Rabanne Pure XS is pure seduction and excess. For the bold man, perfect for standing out on special nights. Opens with ginger, thyme, and grapefruit; the heart warms sensually with vanilla, leather, and cinnamon. The base of myrrh, cedar, and sugar adds a sweet woody touch. Moderate-to-high price. Warning: it’s intense, use it sparingly in enclosed spaces or heat. Scent 9/10: spicy, fresh, warm, and sweet. Longevity 9/10: high for all-day wear. Projection 8.5/10: noticeable without being overwhelming. Highly recommended, meets expectations, and is a standout choice.

It’s rare to go for the eighth bottle of a fragrance I don’t like, but every time I wear it, girls say they want to literally ‘bite me’ because I smell so good. I think it’s the only one with that strange characteristic and I’ll definitely keep using it, even if I don’t enjoy it as much and the dry-down is moderate.

  • Leonardo Quiroz

It’s a delicious fragrance, spiced with cinnamon and tonka, soft and not cloying. Lasts about 6-8 hours. Perfect for men over 35.

  • JoseCarlosMC

Well, it’s my signature. I’ll try to be impartial and not let good memories cloud my judgment. I’ve been wearing it daily since 2018 and it remains one of my favorites. Although I don’t smell it on myself as much anymore, I’m convinced it’s one of the ‘hidden gems’ of designer fragrances. Even with imitations and similar versions, Pure XS maintains unique quality and character. It’s a true ‘compliment bomb’: it attracts praise without being intrusive. The sillage is moderate, projecting about a meter, ideal for everyday wear without being excessive. After 40 minutes to an hour, it settles on the skin showing powdery and slightly vanilla notes, a delight for those who get close. It’s versatile, not unnoticed but remains subtle. Its composition isn’t new anymore, but it remains attractive and reliable, perfect for an elegant and captivating aroma.

Just left the store with my second bottle. Simply the best designer fragrance I’ve ever owned and one of the few I’ve repurchased (along with Sauvage EDT, ADG Profondo, and JPG Scandal EDT). Coincidentally, it was one of the first I bought when I started collecting perfumes. My first love, super original. Works for night and day, with character. Intense and sweet but not cloying, just vanilla and rum. Very good longevity, moderate projection with bursts of sillage for the first hour and a half. Easily my signature scent, though only for very hot climates. In that case, I’d switch to Light Blue or Dior Homme Sport.

  • It used to cost around 2300-2700 pesos and was a great investment. Years ago, I picked up a 200ml bottle at that price, and it’s one of my little treasures. Charming, and you never look bad wearing it.

  • IvanPerfumista

According to Curly Fragrance, it smells like Coca-Cola with incense. I can confirm that’s nowhere near the truth. What stands out most is the vanilla, sugar, and some spices. It’s very sweet and well-suited for unisex wear. It’s not my type; I prefer fresh and masculine scents. 4/10.

  • It smells like Axe chocolate. Coca-Cola? Yes, but it has nothing special about it. In my opinion, it’s boring. Normal longevity, about 4-5 hours, and acceptable sillage of 1-2 hours. I give it a 6 because it’s cheap and good for everyday wear, but there are better options. I wouldn’t buy it again.

  • I bought it and used it a few times. Every time it overwhelms me; it’s suffocating. The myrrh is brutal and clings too much with the vanilla and sugar; I didn’t like it. But I respect those who praise it. If you’re not a fan of sweet and potent scents, avoid keeping it in your closet.

  • I bought it on a whim and it turned into one of my favorites. Women love it if you pair it with the right outfit. To me, it smells like Coca-Cola with incense, but on skin, it’s a sexy scent.

  • I grabbed a 5ml decant of Pure XS and can confirm it’s pure party night. It smells rich and enveloping, though it does get a bit sweet over time. From the start, it screams boldness and seduction; many say it smells like rum and Coca-Cola. You can definitely detect the spicy oriental touch with ginger, vanilla, myrrh, and cinnamon—a warm blend that’s addictive. The projection on skin and clothes is huge, leaving a trail and class. It’s so strong it practically invites you to have a drink. A 10 for going out with friends. I’m already looking forward to trying XS Night for another nighttime option. Final rating: 6.7/10.

  • Jose Espinoza

What a perfume! It lasts me a long time, and even after hours, I still feel that burst of scent because I love its smell. Haha. I’ve received compliments, although more with Scandal to be honest, but in my personal taste, this is my favorite scent, more than Sauvage or JPG or others I’ve heard are rich, but this one is at the top. First review I’m writing, and I’ll be buying it again soon, but in 150 ml.

  • It was my first perfume. Not knowing anything about fragrances, this one convinced me several years ago. Some women react ‘very positively’ to this scent, haha. Sweet but not cloying, well-spiced with a noticeable myrrh, 100% masculine smell. FACT: Once you’re told it smells like Coca-Cola, you can’t stop noticing it.

  • A perfume I have a special affection for and it’s my girlfriend’s favorite. I don’t consider it a great fragrance, but it does leave an exquisite scent and sillage. Very sexy, charming, and seductive. I find it very versatile and at the same time not overwhelming, something that often happens with perfumes in this profile. Ideal for young audiences; for the price, you rarely find something like this. I’d like to give it a second chance in my 20s, but maybe I’ll go for the XS to compare. 4.4/5

  • FrankGrance

I bought it blind on a trip taking advantage of a duty-free discount. There were no testers, only the bottle. It didn’t disappoint me at all; it has an exquisite myrrh note with a very particular sweetness. It’s quite versatile, and its longevity and projection are pretty good, though not outrageous. Would I buy it again? Definitely. It’s a fragrance that completely stands out from the crowd.

  • If you’re looking for a perfume for dates, this is the one. It’s the kind that easily generates compliments and is easy to like. Something striking is that when I’ve worn it, people tell me the scent sticks to their skin or clothes, and even in places, so I see it as ideal for dates.

  • Smells like black pepper and that’s all. The first time I tried it in 2019, it smelled very sweet and incredible. So much so that I gifted one to my brother, and when he wore it, he said: ‘ugh, smells very seductive.’ But he stopped using it and kept it stored for 5 years without wearing it. And when I tried it again, it smelled very different, and I thought: ‘how can it smell so different? Did it concentrate or did the alcohol make the notes change?’ It had the 2018 batch.

  • Daniel Henderson 77

It’s a sweet, seductive perfume, the kind that draws attention in a good way. I used it a while back, around 2017/18, and it gave me excellent results. People say it’s ideal for dates… I’d say no, not for first dates. Maybe with your partner, since it’s quite strong. Very rich, but it’s somewhat potent and penetrating. It might bother someone if you overapply it on a first date when you want them close; you’d want something lighter for that. Back to the scent itself, it’s fantastic, feels vanilla-spiked and boozy, giving it that seductive touch. Cinnamon complements it very well. It has excellent longevity on my skin. Although I’m not sure if I’d buy it again (now my 16-year-old son uses it), I think it’s a great option for cold climates and deserves a try. I recommend it widely.

  • In my experience, I bought it blind and honestly, I didn’t like it. It has a heavy smell; I don’t know which component is causing it since I’m not an expert in perfumes. But I never liked it when a girl told me she liked the scent. I didn’t. I wouldn’t buy it again; I bought it in 2017 and still have almost the whole bottle, 100 ML.

  • Super youthful perfume, perfect up to age 30. It screams party and night out. It’s a vanilla bomb spiked with alcohol, cinnamon, and sugar, reminiscent of a cola drink with a sorbet. Ten years ago I hesitated between this and Pure XS Night; I went with the latter because it’s more oriental, featuring myrrh and ginseng that give it a chocolatey twist, and it’s better for those over 30 in fun, casual settings. Both are very similar. I don’t know what the reformulations did to it, but back in the day, the longevity and sillage were brutal, typical PR Night performance. Obviously, wearing it outside of cold weather or at night is crazy. Easy to like and fair price.

  • Simple scent: basically whisky, cola, and vanilla, with the latter taking the lead throughout the entire life of the fragrance. Versatile for day or night in autumn and winter. Lasts about 8 hours with a decent sillage. Very rich, plus it’s usually found at a great price. Recommended.
