Invictus Parfum by Rabanne is an aromatic aquatic fragrance for men. Launched in 2024, this composition was created by Anne Flipo and Caroline Dumur. The top notes reveal a marine freshness accompanied by lavender and pink pepper; the heart unfolds a clean elegance with soap, violet leaves, and myrtle; while the base notes land with the warmth of musk, the softness of cashmere, and the wood of sandalwood.

It smells like soap. If you don’t have a versatile one and find this on sale, it’s a steal. Otherwise, don’t buy it.

  • I HATE IT. It’s a simple aroma with the Invictus DNA: marine notes, lavender, soap, and citrus, resulting in a powdery, sweet scent that gives me a headache. It reminds me of Kenzo Homme Marine; both give me headaches. Others love it; it’s youthful, versatile, pleasant, and simple, with perfect projection. There’s no flaw, but you might have the same experience I did. I don’t get a headache with Tobacco Vanille or Jazz Club, but I do with Invictus Parfum.

  • One of the ones I like the least, even though the opening is good. The soapy scent it develops smells like some cleaning product (to me, it smells like scented toilet paper, very sad). Not recommended for 30-degree heat or cold. I feel it lacks something in the evolution and doesn’t stand out. For those temperatures, I have perfumes with better personality.

  • I want to be direct: if you’re young and looking for something versatile for daily wear or nights out, this is your perfume. The opening is an incredible journey; it smells like gummies but quickly turns masculine and soapy. Then it evolves into something easier to wear, with that really pleasant soapiness. I’ve gotten tons of compliments. Excellent longevity, 10/10. If you’re looking for something reliable and versatile, it doesn’t fail.

  • If I had to define it in one word: VERSATILITY. It works for dates, the office, beers, or the club. Just adjust the amount, and you get a clean, fresh, or powerful aroma depending on the occasion. It’s a safe bet; it’s not original, but it delivers on performance and compliments. Don’t overdo it with more than 5 sprays, because like the Legend version, it’s very potent and can be overwhelming. Scent 8/10, longevity 9/10, projection 10/10. Would I buy it again? Definitely.

I got a bad batch (42691, date 2024-09-25). I bought it because I’d tried it before and it projected well, but with this new batch, the longevity is terrible. How can a perfume fade to skin scent in just 4 hours?

  • I was going to buy it blind because it’s a ‘safe yes,’ but I was disappointed after trying it in-store. It smells like dirty laundry soaked in purple floor cleaner. It lasts well, but the scent isn’t worth it. 4/10.

  • A classic men’s fougère. The opening is curious, with a spicy kick and marine notes. Then it settles into a classic structure featuring very pleasant woods. I don’t detect any soap; it’s aromatic from start to finish. Lasts long, projects well. Recommended and versatile.

Invictus Parfum by Rabanne: Rabanne has blended the best of the line to create a fragrance of pure energy. A touch of ACQUA 2016 adds beachside freshness, like sea breeze and salt. The soul of INVICTUS ELIXIR takes you to a Caribbean paradise with tropical flow. It’s super versatile for any season. Excellent longevity, you won’t go unnoticed. Renewed bottle and bold attitude. Bravo, Rabanne.

  • Fresh, clean, and soapy, with a slightly more mature twist than its older sibling. A rich fragrance that’s nothing groundbreaking.

  • I’m a bit disappointed with this blind buy. It smells great, no doubt, it’s a mix of OG + Platinum + Victory, but the longevity is really bad, especially considering it’s a parfum.

Very rich daily-use perfume, clean and soapy with a sexy masculine touch. It has given me many compliments, although it’s not overly projecting; it does its job well. If you don’t want to complicate things and are looking for something easy to like but not the regular Invictus, this is the one. Highly recommended.

  • A perfume with unique and characteristic accords: fresh, spicy, soapy, clean, woody on the inside, with an exquisite scent and a very long-lasting trail that gives tropical fruity and earthy vibes. It’s sexy, elegant, and suitable for daily or nighttime use, for school, work, nightlife, or important dates. Adaptable to all seasons. It gets compliments, sparks joy, evokes feelings, emotions, and memories, and leaves a mark. It feels marine and ozonic, with violet, musk, sandalwood, and cashmere that are very unique, as well as lavender and pink pepper; that touch of essence is pleasant. Always Invictus, go for the safe bet and be unique; more so with this than with heavy use, as it doesn’t feel overused, making you original by being the best in the line. There’s also a subtle presence of myrtle, bergamot, lime, salt, and orange, something citrusy but not uncomfortable.

I bought this fragrance a few days ago and have a few things to say: I understand that every skin is a world, but I read comments saying it doesn’t last or project. In my case, two sprays on my wrist exploded in a 30m² office; several colleagues asked what I was wearing, and it was noticeable from the other end. After 3 hours, the intensity drops, but it’s still perceptible at 1 meter. Rarely does a perfume change so much facets; from the opening to the dry-down, it’s another world. It reminds me of Invictus Legend, a bit of Y EDP, but mostly I’m surprised that no one has mentioned Dolce & Gabbana Pour Homme Classic; it really has a similar dry-down. In summary: a projection bomb in the first hours, a scent reminiscent of Invictus, reliable, and an extremely heavy trail. If you like the Invictus line and reliable, heavy perfumes, it’s a blind buy without a doubt.

  • Van der wiel

The fragrance is good, but, like all current ones, it gets confused with similar scents. Then you don’t know if it’s BD Cobalt, Invictus Legend, or Y EDP; they all share that soapy DNA.

  • Despuesdel8

This perfume doesn’t move me much; it smells soapy, like a grape soap, similar to Victory, but the cypress is almost not felt, replaced by something unknown. It seems youthful or for a young adult on casual outings, maybe the office, but it could smell like grape bubblegum and be weird there. It doesn’t work for a bar. From this family, I prefer Victory. Rating: 7.

  • PerfumeNoob

Without a doubt, my signature and favorite fragrance. It changes with the skin but keeps those sparkling fruity notes in a marine, sweet, fruity, and clean opening. Shades of freshness keep it as a semi-blue fragrance. In the dry-down, it’s more fougere, but the base remains sweet, fruity, and sparkling, soapy with fougere vibes. It’s very versatile, though better for heat, not extremes, but daytime warmth.

  • Rick Azafranado

Great perfume, slightly heavier than the EDT. I recommend it to those who love smelling like clean sheets and clothes with a marine touch. It’s classic, pleasant, and very well-balanced. You won’t go crazy with the scent because it doesn’t project much in the perfume store, but it works. Watch out, it’s not potent, which makes it seem more expensive than it is.

  • jorgeluiscabani

Smells like clean lavender with soap, a sweet and rich scent. I would buy it again.

  • JesusRuiz

I think this is the best Invictus in the entire line; I’ve tried them all, and this is the most versatile. It’s my signature; on clothes it lasts forever, and on my skin it sticks until the shower, about 24 hours. It drives me crazy, it’s super addictive. It might sound soapy depending on the occasion, but for me, it’s the best so far.

  • Reynaldo Linan

Classic Invictus but with steroids. Excellent projection and longevity. Clean fragrance with a sweet touch.

Finally a serious, mature, and elegant Invictus. Goodbye to the classic Invictus smell, ergo the overly sweet bubblegum sensation, feeling 100% synthetic (according to Flanker, sometimes more laurel, sometimes more mentholated, sometimes more marine, sometimes more vanilla-habano, made in Puig-Rabanne). The Invictus aroma was a huge success a few decades ago. In fact, it’s already a totem of modern pop designer perfumery. Specifically targeted at young Western boys, middle class, between 16 and 30 years old (note: there are also some mature ‘Peter Pan’ types who hooked on it back in the day and still belong to the Invictus cult) who simply wanted a youthful, modern, attractive, attention-grabbing, and seductive scent to separate them from their parents’ fougère or barbershop smell and serve to hook up with any living creature in the place, preferably in a nightclub. What’s the problem with the classic aroma today? The usual one: nose fatigue from saturation, massification, nauseating wild flankering, cheap drugstore or flea-market cloning, and massive sales success. This recent Invictus Parfum, with the eternal champion cup, redesigned and modernized now with straight profiles in its base and overall aroma composition, has a good base from the previous 2019 Invictus Legend flanker with its fresh marine note (note: don’t get confused, it’s not a headstrong salty marine clone like Megamare, or some Azzaro Chrome, or Armani AdG Profondo, or some Issey Miyake marines) and retro soapy, watch out for not smelling like Mercadona shampoo or fabric softener. Here, perfumers Anne Flipo (one of the best of the last decade) and Caroline Dumur have added nocturnality, masculinity, seriousness, elegance, maturity (for men 30-35 and up, kids out, go for other flankers or One Million), a retro 80s touch with a lavender and violet contribution (note: it’s neither a clone nor a cheap inspiration of Dior Fahrenheit), woody notes, and plenty of musk with longevity and performance, 7-8 hours without issues, already standard for the Rabanne-Puig house. Pass on this Invictus Parfum if you already like another flanker, if you’re a hater of the saga, a hater of the Rabanne house (there are many), if you already have 200,000 fragrances and similar ones in your collection, if you prefer the minority, the rare stuff, like smelling like Harley Davidson grease, Cambodian oud, Russian leather, Moroccan bazaar, the incense of Santiago de Compostela Cathedral, if you have cash to bore yourself, or if you’ve gotten into the theatrical ‘waus’ and fake exaggerated notes released by some perfumery YouTubers, especially the most ‘viral’ ones, the snobby battalion, and logically you’ve already passed the mainstream vulgar, populist stuff, and you’ve turned into the weirdo only catchable on the internet or the 150-euro niche… In those cases, NOT A CHANCE with this Rabanne sweetheart. Rest of the world, smell it, try it, enjoy it, and judge for yourselves. Although Rabanne prices have skyrocketed in the last 5 years, this one is worth it. Did they invent gunpowder? No, that was invented since a Chinese guy decided to mix chemical components back in the 9th century AD. Does it smell good? Damn right. Watch out, not for the nasty laurel bubblegum smell of the original Invictus EDT. Recommend? Yes, test it on skin and drop your silly prejudices.

  • It’s my second favorite Invictus: fresh, sweet, and soapy, perfect for men. It generates lots of compliments and is super versatile, a real gem. I bought it blindly in 50ml and regret not grabbing the 100ml. Today I tested it properly, and with my skin hydrated and good pH, it lasted over 12 hours projecting like a beast; even a colleague asked if I had reapplied at the 8-hour mark. I was blown away.

Invictus Parfum – This is the good one! Attention, fragrance lovers! If like me, you had doubts about the Rabanne Invictus line due to past experiences (yes, the original wasn’t exactly my favorite, I felt it was too… ‘awful’), prepare for a pleasant surprise. Invictus Parfum has arrived to change the rules of the game, and it does so in a fascinating way! This fragrance is a world of two facets, and that makes it special. Its opening is a delicious tropical explosion: imagine ripe, juicy fruits mixed with those aquatic notes that transport you straight to paradise. It’s a vibrant, sweet yet fresh aroma that envelops you from the first spray. But here comes the curious part and what really blew my mind: the drydown is a totally different story. While the opening has that tropical vibe, on the skin, as hours pass, clean and super fresh notes emerge, accompanied by that distinctive violet leaf touch. This gives it an elegance and freshness that makes you feel impeccable, almost like just stepped out of a luxury shower. The most surprising thing is how it behaves on different surfaces: if you spray it on clothes, that tropical opening lasts and lasts, projecting that paradisiacal vibe for hours! But if you put it directly on skin, the drydown with that clean and violet aroma becomes the absolute protagonist. It’s like you literally put on two different perfumes: one for your clothes and another for your skin. I thought it was such a curious and unique detail that I had to share it! Invictus Parfum is, without a doubt, a delicious fragrance and, in my opinion, exactly how Invictus should have been from the start. My initial skepticism vanished completely. It met all my expectations and exceeded them. My final verdict: 9.5/10! For that surprise factor and its dual personality that has conquered me!

  • Canary Scent

Hello, my opinion: at first sniff, it smells exquisite, like marine soap with lavender. You can tell it’s quality, nothing synthetic, lasts a long time but isn’t overwhelming. Try it before buying. Cheers.

  • diegoarauco6

I love wearing this fragrance during the day for the office to feel like a true champion; it gives me a +10000 aura. It’s exquisite and clean, a refined bar of soap that smells like lavender and metro. It’s all quality. It’s a fantastic fragrance and definitely worth adding to any collection. If you don’t know what to buy blindly, this is the safe bet.

  • carlos_reyes

Finally tried the original after searching for clones, and what a surprise: it’s incredible. It’s a total twist on the Invictus DNA, with marine and soapy notes—an exquisite composition that leaves no one indifferent, and I believe it’s the best in the line. At first, it smells sweet, almost like bubblegum, then clean marine and soapy notes emerge with soft woods in the base. It has everything a blue fragrance should, but it stands out above the rest; it’s an aroma I can’t imagine anyone not liking. Just don’t expect niche-level complexity or weird notes; it’s made to please and grab attention. ⌚Longevity: Long, 8-10 hours or more, excellent concentration. 💨Projection: Huge, explosive for the first two hours, cutting through everything, though it can be overwhelming if you don’t control the sprays. 🍃Sillage: Heavy, leaves an incredible trail, stands out in both projection and sillage—I think it’s the best in my collection for performance and versatility. 😉Compliments: Lots of them, it’s spectacular and youthful, hard to find someone who won’t ask what you’re wearing. ♠️Occasion: It’s blue and versatile, ideal for parties or nightouts where you want to be noticed; I wouldn’t use it as a daily driver, but if that’s your goal, go for it. If you’re hesitating to buy it, my word is you won’t be disappointed. Hugs.

  • Wen Mollegas

A top-tier fragrance, with that marine opening that blends perfectly with the pink pepper touch. Then comes that clean, pleasant sensation, almost soapy, with a bubblegum nuance that adds seriousness and elegance, closing with woody notes of sandalwood and musk. The only downside is that the projection isn’t what one would expect; it gets a bit stagnant over time. At the start, it smells elegant and discreet, but it fades very quickly, although the longevity on skin is quite acceptable.

  • I smell mango and very sweet. It lasts a long time, but honestly, it smells like mango to me, not soap.

  • This Invictus Parfum seems like absolute madness. I had the EDT years ago and liked it, but over time I noticed its shortcomings; still, I loved its essence. This twist is sublime. The opening is the best I’ve ever smelled. If it stayed like this forever, I’d buy five bottles at once. It’s true that it changes a bit later, and you notice the original scent mixed with this new touch, but the opening on skin is unique. I’d describe it as 30% regular Invictus mixed with a modern take on the soapy vibe of the Y EDP (even more potent here) with the creaminess and density of Le Beau Le Parfum (without smelling like anything from that line, thank God). Add good longevity and projection, and here we have an absolute beast that few can match in spring, autumn, winter, or summer nights.

  • The opening is an out-of-this-world experience; the downside is that a few minutes later it becomes a fairly normal fragrance. Still, I would buy it again.

  • First review here. Out of all the perfumes I own, niches, designer, Arab, etc., this is my girlfriend’s favorite. It smells rich, slightly soapy but tasty. On my skin (I have the worst pH in my 30s), it projects for about 1.5 hours, doesn’t reach 2, then sticks to the skin as a very subtle but rich scent. It’s a perfume made to please on dates; in fact, I met my girlfriend with this one. Totally versatile. To my taste, it’s the best of all Invictus, even above Victory Elixir.

  • It’s a good fragrance: rich, pleasant, and fulfilling, though a bit generic. I’m almost a hater of the Invictus line; it never liked or surprised me, but this is the exception. It radiates cleanliness and purity; despite having a sweet profile in a certain stage, it’s not an unpleasant sweet, but a fruity sweetness that accompanies the blue side of the fragrance.

  • I had very high expectations of it being ‘an Invictus three times better,’ but it stopped there. My partner and I went to try it out and found it rich but quite medicinal, not what I imagined. It’s not bad, but I wouldn’t choose it.

  • If I could only keep one perfume for the rest of my life, I’d choose this, not because it’s my absolute favorite, but for its incredible versatility. I struggle to find a situation, outfit, or age where it doesn’t look good. It’s a well-masculine, polished, and dense scent, soapy like those artisanal lavender soaps from street stalls. Plus, it has amazing performance in longevity and projection.

  • Invictus Parfum explodes with marine, aquatic, and ozonic facets, featuring a marked musky and aromatic character. It feels very soapy and talcum-like, thanks to the lavender combined with a salty, woody base that gives it that vigorous identity. Personal history: It was one of my first purchases and I loved it; for a long time it was my go-to for everything, regardless of occasion or weather. Evolution of taste: However, after getting to know more perfumes, my perception changed. Now I find it a bit sweet, almost cloying in certain situations. I’ve migrated toward citrus and sharp notes, seeking less density. Current verdict: While I still have affection for it, I prefer other profiles today. It still has great performance and unbeatable presence for anyone seeking that aquatic-sweet style, but it no longer fits what I’m looking for.

  • It’s a pleasant, sweet, and clean fragrance, though a bit generic. It follows the same Invictus DNA but sweeter. Alongside Victory Absolu, these are my favorites from the entire line.

  • I own it and I think it’s the best in Rabanne’s Invictus line. It’s too versatile, with good longevity and quite solid projection. I bought the 200ml bottle and it seems like it will be my signature scent.

  • It’s the best Invictus with the original DNA, just improved: not as sharp, and the opening is spectacular. Pity it doesn’t last a bit longer, but the rest of the scent is classic Invictus, just slightly better. Lasts and projects massively.

  • gonzalezvertiz

Just testing it out and it’s already a hit: smells like a deep, sweet accord, like an older Invictus but richer, as if mixing amber with fruit. Then it turns fresh and soapy thanks to the lavender, finishing with very soft wood. It guarantees compliments and is super versatile for any occasion. It suits all ages, though the opening is youthful due to the sweetness. Longevity is moderate right now, about 6 hours on clothes, but I’m sure it will improve with time (happened with Million Gold, which is now beast mode).
