Got me! Perfect for anyone seeking fresh, green, and musky scents. It’s a carefree fragrance with no pretensions. Smells like freshly laundered sheets dried in the sun with grass and dew. Bergamot kicks things off and lingers until the end alongside the white musk, complementing rather than competing. Although it claims to have mint, I don’t detect it beyond that green touch. It’s minimalist, leaves almost no trail on skin or clothes, and has short longevity (about 3 hours on skin), but for the price, it’s worth it for home or the gym.

We need Zara to release the other elixirs! This one is divine: they added jasmine to make it creamier, paired with mint and a soft bergamot. It’s floral, aromatic, and perfect for spring/summer or days when you want something clean, fresh, yet enveloping. A hit. I want the others! Edit: despite being fresh, it has good longevity. I’ve been getting lots of compliments and questions lately. It’s a delight that’s not talked about enough.

The mint note is hit-or-miss, giving a very soft green sensation. Ideal for spring and summer. It’s not overpowering or incredibly unique, making it perfect for the new girl at the office. It has something cheesy in a good way: exquisite, much like almost the entire Jo Malone collection, exuding that vibe of a baby dress, bunches of dried micro-flowers, and wide wooden floors in Salamanca. That’s why it might lack a bit of edge. Waterlily is pretty, but I don’t think it’s very different from other low-cost linear fragrances, like some Arden teas. It dries down a bit mature, with a sharp powdery finish, yet still more innocent than a newborn kitten. In my opinion, that’s all there is to it.

This is the fragrance I liked most from the first Zara x Jo Malone collection. I was bored with high-end brands, and this was a breath of fresh air. I bought this and Vetiver Pamplemousse. I wear it year-round, but I enjoy it more in spring/summer. I’m running low on it, and although I like it, I don’t think I’ll repurchase. I’ve had it since 2019 and I’m eager to try new scents. It’s an aquatic floral. People have asked about it and complimented it, so it has projection. It lasts more than a day on clothes and can be smelled in the closet for several days. It evokes a pond with water lilies, a sunny day with clouds, and a green meadow under leafy trees for relaxation. It conveys peace, ideal for daily wear. It could also be an infusion of jasmine and mint with lemon and ice. Simple, without artifices, yet surprisingly effective. I admit I prefer Vetiver Pamplemousse, but I use this a lot. Ideal for work.

I love it! So happy it’s back online, and I hope with the same faces as the first batch, I already have my refill. It’s simple but very rich; it reminds me of cut grass with flowers, of spring, of freshness… I don’t know if it’s the best daily perfume I’ve ever had, but for 22 euros, it’s thrown away.

I tried it for two days, and although it’s fresh and good for everyday wear, I find it very simple. You can detect the green and citrus notes for hours, and at first, it smells like tea, but nothing beyond that.

Perfume beauty. Its scent transports me to a garden of white flowers, which by the name could be beautiful calla lilies, cut with their green stems to then put in water. It’s a hyper-realistic, green, and musky floral. I think it’s for spring and summer because of the freshness, although I like it so much that I’m going to ignore the seasons and enjoy it whenever I want. I love it.

It’s a beauty. It takes me to a garden of white flowers, cut calla lilies placed in water. It’s floral, green, and musky in a hyper-realistic way. Ideally for spring or summer due to the freshness, but I like it so much that I use it regardless of the season. I love it.

I have little experience with perfumes, but I lean towards floral, aquatic, and citrus scents. I bought the Waterlily Tea Dress blindly looking for something fresh and cheap for the day. It smells subtle, delicate, and fresh, exactly what I was looking for. In my warm and humid city, I wear it at the office for that floral or herbal sensation. Its longevity is weak to moderate; it lasts longer on clothes than on skin. On skin, it smells sweeter and cozier, while on clothes, it’s more herbal. It needs reapplication to last all day. The trail is intimate, not invasive; it disappears quickly unless you get close, although others notice it subtly. When you walk out, the sharp citrus stands out, and in the dry down, something soft and sweet, like flower nectar, not caramel. Another person thought it smelled like ‘rich aunt,’ which sums up the external impression well. The best thing is to use it on cool or climate-controlled days, because in the heat, the musk becomes very sweet. Overall, it’s liked a lot, I haven’t received bad comments, and I would buy it again because it’s different from what people smell on a daily basis.

I tested this fragrance and have to disagree with almost all the info on Fragrantica and many reviews. For me, it doesn’t smell like mint, green tea, or peppermint. If you’ve ever cut the stems of a bouquet to put in water, it’s exactly that, without the flowers. It’s a wet green freshness, like a pond with water lilies in a meadow. Although the card says ‘citrus aromatic,’ for me it’s an aquatic floral like a cathedral. It might have mint and musk, but I’m missing aquatic, green, and white floral notes. It’s not a clean scent or for daily wear; it’s too specific and pungent for that. My favorite way to use it is combined. Sometimes I feel that florals lack enhanced green notes, and Waterlily Tea Dress does it more than enough. I mixed it with Blooming Bouquet, and the effect was a hyper-realistic bouquet. A huge hit. At Zara, it was a breath of fresh air for me, almost literally. It’s something novel with a classic touch. In short, it’s pretty but deceptive. I think it works better for layering or for experimentation, very much in the Jo Malone style.

Of the test sets, this was the one I liked the most. The opening is sharp, like burying your nose in a bouquet of chrysanthemums. In less than a minute, the green part is noticeable, like freshly cut stems in water. To that, I add the aquatic element, a white or pale pink flower that softens that intense green and citrus. It reminds me of a Valeria Mazza perfume from the 90s, my teenage signature; I used it at night, but it smells like daytime. It brings to mind sun, clear sky, flowers, and grass. I’ve always loved fresh, ozonic, green, aquatic, and floral scents. I love this Waterlily Tea Dress because it takes me to a pond with floating flowers under the sun. I feel brushstrokes of flowers reminiscent of L’eau de Issey Miyake, but less potent. From the Jo Malone collection, I would buy it without a doubt.

Green softness, a subtlety of tea plantations, and a hidden camellia that defies naming. The freshness of morning dew before the sun, forest, streams, and water lilies in the shade. A citrus touch over herbs and the shy tenderness of a timeless musk. Sensual and intimate, this is how this Jo Malone gem smells to me.

It’s not for everyday wear and doesn’t smell like soap; it’s very specific and pungent. My favorite way is to layer it. I feel that florals lack green intensity, and this provides more than enough. I mixed it with Blooming Bouquet, and the effect is a hyper-realistic bouquet, a real treat. At Zara, it was a breath of fresh air, something novel with a classic touch. In short, it’s pretty but deceptive; it works better for layering or recreating, very much in the Jo Malone style.

I was expecting mint and green tea, or something similar to a mojito, as several people mentioned below. The reality is that it’s a super green and natural aroma, like cutting a succulent plant and then combining it. The water lily with musk is a bit of a complicated scent; it’s very long-lasting and invasive. The musk makes it sharp yet sweetens it… it’s a little hard to wear. I had high expectations for the oppressive weather in my country, but the amount of musk feels heavy to me; it makes it smell like hotel sheets.

It has all the Jo Malone essence: fresh, very green. At first, I find a very subtle floral note, but afterwards, peppermint takes over. To me, it’s unisex and perfect for daytime. I love it and would buy it again if I could find it, although I think it’s already discontinued. 9/10.

What I like most is the mint, something refreshing and different from the Emotions collection. After using the box vial several times, I’ve figured it out: it’s not exceptional or striking, the materials don’t smell hyper-realistic, and they don’t project much, but to me, it’s subtle and elegant. It smells like a mint infusion with green tea, something invigorating and friendly that brings me joy. I also notice a floral note I don’t fully understand; I’ve never smelled a water lily, but I suppose it has a damp, aquatic, and green touch. It makes me think of a flower somewhere between honeysuckle and lily of the valley, but don’t take me too seriously, that’s just what I perceive. It’s a kind, fresh, and friendly fragrance, nothing extraordinary, but it has something tender that I like.

Red, I also thought of honeysuckle or lily of the valley. Without big pretensions, I think it’s very lovely.

What I like most is the mint; it’s refreshing and distinct from the rest of the Emotions collection. After using up the tester vial a few times, I’ve figured it out: it’s not exceptional or striking. The materials don’t smell very realistic and don’t project much, but to me, it feels subtle and elegant. It smells like a mint infusion with green tea, something invigorating and cheerful that makes me happy when I smell it. I also notice a floral note I don’t fully understand; I’ve never smelled a water lily, but I suppose it has a damp, aquatic, and green touch. It reminds me of a flower between honeysuckle and lily of the valley, but don’t take my word too seriously—that’s just my perception. It’s a kind, fresh, and cheerful fragrance, nothing extraordinary, but it has a sweet side that I like.

Super green, fresh, clean scent, it calms me down. Bergamot and musk, with the mint being very subtle. There are other notes I can’t quite recognize, very much in the style of Jo Malone colognes, undoubtedly the 3B.

Just as its name suggests: tea and lily of the valley. I don’t see any mint anywhere. Quite fresh but floral.
-
Hana
A fresh and soapy aroma, without nuances, smelling of very green tea with floral hints. It’s quite persistent on the skin; I’d say around 5 hours, with a moderate to soft sillage.

Coquita
A fresh fragrance that smells like freshly cut, damp, indeterminate white flowers, with a soft musk that gives it body. Despite being summery, it’s very pleasant and feminine, but it makes me think of an office worker more than someone relaxing in a garden. Pleasant: 6/10, Interesting: 3/10, Versatile: 6/10, Original: 3/10.

I just picked up the Zara Emotions collection and this scent has completely hooked me. If you’re obsessed with green fragrances, it’s an affordable and fresh option. Totally recommended for spring and summer.

I agree, it smells exactly like tea—wet, freshly cut green tea. It doesn’t really deliver on the listed notes; personally, I don’t like it and wouldn’t wear a tea scent out anywhere, but if you like it, maybe it’s good for relaxing at night. There are other brands, especially State of Mind, that do this same thing and charge over €200, and they smell identical.

I agree; it smells directly of tea, a damp green tea like freshly cut grass. It doesn’t give the sensation of the declared notes. Personally, I don’t like it; I wouldn’t wear a tea scent to go out, but if someone likes it, maybe for relaxing it could be okay. There are other brands, especially State of Mind, that do this same thing and charge over €200, and they smell identical.

At first, it smells like an intense jasmine tea, but after an hour, it’s barely noticeable, sticking right to the skin. The scent is identical to that wild white flower from the Mexican mountains. I see it as perfect for evening wear for adults over 35.

“DRESS FOR WATER LILY TEA” is a jewel from Joe Malone for Zara. Zara has fragrances of an almost sublime exquisiteness, like this one or Vibrant Leather Oud, and many more. They should be proud of their mastery and that unbeatable quality-to-price ratio. They often lack projection and longevity, just like many designer perfumes that cost much more. Nowadays, anyone can look impeccable with Zara. A lesson for L’Oréal, LVMH, or any outdated multinational. Waterlily Tea Dress is an immense delicacy, with undeniable good taste and complex simplicity. I usually call many perfumes unisex even if they aren’t labeled as such, but I find this one more feminine, though I wouldn’t mind wearing it myself. It’s very youthful and romantic, wearable at any age, even by children. I disagree with the olfactory family listed (Citrus Aromatic); for me, it’s an Aquatic Floral Aromatic with timeless classicism. I also disagree with the notes (bergamot, musk, mint): I don’t detect them at all, or at least I don’t think they’re the only ones. If there’s bergamot, it’s soft, barely citrusy. The musk is elegant, balanced, contained, clean, and neat—a note often used to ruin perfumes with loud white musks, but this one feels more like a Constable or a Gainsborough painting. I barely notice the mint, just a fresh breeze diluted with musk. I do believe it has calone, with a marine and ozonized air, plus green tea flower, linden, lily of the valley, white rose, and white jasmine. A bouquet of white flowers, not indolic, but slightly sweet, velvety, and dreamy. It could have been signed by Bulgari in their classic line. Fortunately, it’s a rare find at Zara and has notable projection and longevity. One of the most beautiful perfumes from Zara, which many designers and niche houses would envy, and something Grace Kelly would wear in “The Swan”.

I loved it: it’s tender, romantic, innocent, my favorite fragrance. Very natural and supremely feminine; when I wear it, I feel like a nymph in the forest. Longevity on skin isn’t the best, but it doesn’t matter, I just reapply. It’s worth it: it’s tenderness in a bottle.

I love them. If you like the musk of the 20s, those soft lotions with childish touches and notes like cedar, neroli, juniper, sage, walnut, pistachio, and bergamot, this is heaven. It’s a mix of white musk, woods, citrus, and herbs. Everyone has their Shangri-La, and this is mine. When I spray Waterlily on my hand and feel that scent of freshly ironed white t-shirts, chubby babies, and new towels, I think, ‘well, damn, bravo.’ It smells of natural sweetness, herbal and urban cleanliness. It belongs to the same family as Green Jade Omnia, Elf Essence, Iris Infusion, Versense, CK One, Burberry Baby Touch, Kenzo Air, D&G Masculine, BLV II, Manifesto, the 212s, DKNY, and other laundry musks with herbal and spicy sparks. Some might find it boring, but it excited me by unexpectedly reminding me of the exquisite Zara Man 2000, that first men’s cologne I used in liters in 2000 and miss, knowing it no longer exists. Damn, I feel cheesy, but that’s life. I want ten bottles of this.

I love it. If you’re not obsessed with the hypnotic musks of the 2000s, those light, pleasant lotions with laundry notes, childish touches, and herbs like cedar, neroli, juniper, sage, walnut, pistachio, and bergamot, you won’t understand this. It’s white musk, woods, citrus, and herbs: heaven on earth. Everyone has their Shangri-La, and this is mine. When I try colognes like this, I melt, and with Waterlily, it hasn’t been any less. One spray on my hand and I smell freshly ironed white t-shirts, chubby babies, and new towels; I think, ‘well, damn, bravo.’ Waterlily Tea Dress, which I suspect has more notes than the three listed, is a wonderful cologne, with natural sweetness, herbal and urban cleanliness. It belongs to the same family as Green Jade Omnia, Elf Essence, Iris Infusion, Versense, CK One, Burberry Baby Touch, Kenzo Air, D&G Masculine, BLV II, Manifesto, the original 212s, DKNY, and countless laundry musks loaded with herbal, woody, and spicy sparks. Some might find it boring and predictable, but it excited me because it unexpectedly reminded me of the exquisite Zara Man 2000, the house’s first men’s cologne, an EDT I used in liters in 2000 and miss every now and then, knowing I’ll never use it again, or worse, knowing that twenty-year-old me no longer exists. Damn, I feel so cheesy, but that’s life. I’m crying a little. I want ten bottles of this.

I don’t know what I enjoy more: being the first to review this gem or the compliments I get when people ask what I’m wearing. Where do I even start? This is a head-to-toe powerhouse, totally different from anything else in my collection. It opens with herbal, citrusy, astringent, and musky notes that leave you feeling fresh, clean, elegant, and revitalized. While they didn’t explicitly mention mint like before, I still detect it, now blended with citrus and white florals. It might seem simple, but it’s a breath of fresh air compared to those designer floral/fruity scents that have become so overused. Definitely not unisex, and not even joking. The longevity is brutal—literally seven hours on my skin. I’m taking off my hat to Zara.
