Descripción
Wild Bluebell by Jo Malone London is a green floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2011, the nose behind this composition is Christine Nagel. The top notes evoke dewdrops, green leaves, bluebell, and clove; the heart reveals persimmon and peach; while the base notes settle on musk and powdery notes.

One of my favorite perfumes, ideal for any season; it always smells refined and different. It’s delicate, romantic, creating a dreamy and fresh atmosphere. Along with the old Bottega Verde honeysuckle gel, this is one of the most special for me; it doesn’t resemble violet, lilac, or iris; it’s a unique smell. I’ve searched for this bellflower scent in other brands, but Penhaligon’s smells like beeswax, which is nice but different. This Jo Malone one I like more; it’s subtle, like sitting next to a wall full of bellflowers and smelling the green leaves and their freshness. When I don’t know what to choose, I know I can’t go wrong with this one.
This fresh Jo Malone cologne is UNIQUE, yes. I wouldn’t say it’s beautiful, but rather eccentric. If I had to describe a feeling, it’s like being at a Nordic port: a cold, salty marine aroma evoking seaweed, lilies, or seafood. It’s very hard to explain; you have to try it because it’s so particular. It’s pleasant for the experience it gives, crossing the northern seas. The scent is flat, noticeable from the start, but that doesn’t make it any less interesting. It’s a wonderful rarity to collect, suitable from winter to summer. It’s neither feminine nor masculine; it’s a nature scent: fresh, aquatic, cold, relaxing, marine, and strangely floral.

Imagine being in a Nordic harbor: a cold marine scent, a salty touch reminiscent of seaweed, lilies, or seafood. It’s hard to explain; you just have to try it because it’s so particular. It’s pleasant not because of the fragrance itself, but because of the experience it evokes, like crossing the northern seas. The scent is flat, everything is noticeable from the start, but that doesn’t make it any less interesting; it’s a wonderful rarity to collect. It’s metamorphic, serving both winter and summer. One of my favorite Jo Malone scents; the Alice in Wonderland ad suits it perfectly. Smells like a flower meadow and a damp forest, very natural. Like most from the brand, it’s super versatile, but the only downside is the longevity, which they all share: it lasts less than an hour on skin. It seems shameful to pay €108 for a 100ml bottle and have to reapply constantly. The scent is gorgeous, but at that price, there are much better options.
One of my Jo Malone favorites. The Alice in Wonderland ad copy fits it like a glove. It smells like a field of flowers and a damp forest, very natural. Like almost all of the brand’s offerings, it’s extremely versatile. The only downside is the longevity, which they share with the rest: it lasts less than an hour on the skin. It seems like a shame considering they charge €108 for 100 ml. The scent is lovely, but I’m not sure I’d spend that money on something I have to reapply constantly. For that price, there are much better perfumes.
Love, a perfume you won’t find a copy for even if you try. It’s a marvel. The bluebell is deliciously fresh. The bad part… the longevity and the price.
‘Curiosity killed the cat’… I was eager to try a fragrance from this house and started with this one. Mistake! It doesn’t suit me. As soon as I apply it, there’s a dry note that settles in my throat and makes me cough. It has a floral note (I don’t know which one) that smells like an old flower, like old water from a vase; but it has others that come out fresh and smell like wet grass in the mornings. And to finish, my boyfriend says it smells like cucumber with flowers… What a mess! I use it at home (lasts 3 to 4 hours on skin), I finish the bottle, and it never returns to my life.
I bought it seeking originality and had only read good things. I went blind since I no longer buy just to use, but to experiment. It opens very prominently with an aquatic floral note, natural, with a riverside ambience. The sweet spot is the floral nectar, nothing edible. After a while, it extends a clean sensation, almost like cleaning products, until reaching very muted base notes. Its longevity is quite prolonged for a cologne. However, for the price, it was a disappointment. A few weeks prior, I bought a Bath & Body Works “Saltwater Breeze” splash, and they are very similar; the splash is simple and short-lived, but the experience was alike. I have no desire to try another Jo Malone.
I bought it seeking originality and whatever little was said about this fragrance. I went blind because I no longer buy perfumes just to use them, but also to experiment. It opens very prominently with an aquatic flower, very natural, with a riverside ambiance. The sweet spot is floral nectar, nothing edible. After a while, it extends a clean sensation with a hint of cleaning products until the final notes arrive very muted. Its longevity is quite prolonged given it’s a cologne. However, for the price, it was a disappointment… It turned out I had bought a Bath and Body Works ‘Saltwater Breeze’ splash weeks earlier, and they are very similar. Obviously, the splash is simple and lasts very little, but the experience was similar. I’m not eager to try another Jo Malone…
Following erin1990’s review, I’ll try combining it with Saltwater. They aren’t the same but seem to enhance each other, giving it a more interesting touch. It smells like something I can’t yet describe, like a childhood doll perfume. Undoubtedly an atypical scent for adults. I’ll keep updating.
It’s not for me (I have dry skin). At first, it smells quite floral and natural, like freshly cut flowers… the problem arises after a few minutes, when you start to detect a scent of wilted flowers, like a cemetery, that smell you get when walking around. That scent stuck to my skin, so it didn’t work with my chemistry. I strongly suggest testing before buying if you have dry skin like mine.

What a beautiful aroma. For a long time, Jo Malone was irrelevant to me; I thought they weren’t worth it. But little by little, I’m falling in love. Although they aren’t the most long-lasting, they are such beautiful and original scents. Wild Bluebell is a forest to me: dense, leafy, green, with faint rays of sunlight, where you could imagine a brunette fairy with fair skin, blue eyes, and a blush. Like Laetitia Casta in that legendary YSL show.
At first, rich and special; fresh with a touch of sweetness. I’ll be brief: on my skin, it smells like citrus overload. It doesn’t have them, but it smells like acidic lemon and orange. Not for me.
I love it. On my skin, it smells like being surrounded by blooming orange trees on a spring morning with a blue sky. Fresh with a subtle sweet fruity undertone in the distance that makes you feel good and smile. It’s like passing by a little angel with soft, clean wings. At least on my skin and the authentic version, of course.
Pretty but too soft; it doesn’t last an hour and has zero sillage. The scent is very similar to Guerlain’s Flora Sauvage, which actually has better longevity and projection.
Totally spot on! I bought it blind and absolutely love the natural notes of Jo Malone. It opens fresh, wet, and clean with a fruity touch. The dry down is more aquatic than powdery, but as it settles, the vibe shifts: there are flowers, but mostly wet grass. It’s a very original fruity scent. Smells like slightly sugared melon with seeds, rind, green flesh, and sweetness. Since I eat melons for breakfast almost daily, I’m very familiar with the smell. It didn’t disappoint; it’s exactly what I expected and my new favorite for daytime wear. It has the necessary floral sweetness to last all year. I was worried spices would dominate, but they don’t distract at all. Unlike others, I don’t detect any citrus. I just love smelling wet grass.
