Hello, I think this is Zara’s best perfume. It smells super warm and sexy, like an edible scent with amber, cinnamon, and vanilla. It lasts over 8 hours; it projects a bit at first, then settles into a very cozy personal bubble. It’s super versatile, though maybe not for anyone under 20. In enclosed spaces and up close, it’s incredibly charming. Perfect for winter and fall. I use it daily, at night, for formal or casual occasions, but it’s a 10 for dates. I’ve smelled it next to Kilian’s Angels’ Share, and they’re almost identical; this one is sweeter, less warm, and a bit flashier, but no one will catch you lying if you say you’re wearing the Kilian one.

The Intense is denser, darker, and deeper; the cinnamon and cacao remain, but with resinous and woody touches that give it a more mature, serious vibe. The longevity doesn’t change much, but the Intense has a stronger projection in the first hour. Ideal for night outs or very cold days. The original is more accessible and versatile; the Intense is its older sister—sober and commanding. For the price, both deliver. If you prefer a youthful gourmand, go with the original; if you’re looking for something deep, choose the Intense.

Try two sprays: it’s the same fragrance, though the dry-down smells a bit more like chocolate, but in the end, there’s no noticeable difference. I liked the first one, and this is just as good. Unisex aroma, leaning feminine, super sweet, and only for cold days.

I just don’t like cinnamon much, which is why it’s not better than other Zara options, but I adore it—it’s rich and evokes desert sands. A 7.5/10.

On my nose, I detect the iris (lily root), and in my view, that touch adds class and distinction compared to other sugary fragrances flooding the market. In conclusion, an ridiculously good perfume for the price; it’s great to see Zara doing so well in perfumery.

Think about this: the sample we say “lasts” is open and maturing, which improves the scent and performance in any perfume. Let it mature for a couple of months and then test again… And watch out! It must be the GOLD cap! The black one was from the previous version, which was indeed weak.

It lasts 6-7 hours on my skin, but as I said, it’s perceptible for the first 2-3 hours, and after that, you have to get close to the application spot. I didn’t buy it immediately because it might feel redundant with other sweet winter fragrances I already own, but if this ‘Sand Desert At Sunset Intense’ comes up on sale at a good price… EDIT: After a week with my head ‘addicted’ to the memory of its scent, I finally bought it.
