Pure Musc For Her by Narciso Rodriguez

It’s a pretty, clean scent. Nothing more. Not much to say about this perfume.

Wonderful musk perfume, the best on the market for young people who enjoy musk without it smelling vintage or like an older woman. I discovered it during the second pandemic, and it’s perfect for the snowy, cold winter in Berlin. Dark, lonely days become more bearable, especially when it’s snowing and you see the landscape through the window. It’s ideal for work to project seriousness, especially if you’re young and need to assert yourself so people don’t take you for a fool or easy to step on 😂. My mother and I are both NR addicts; she loves the rose that suits her perfectly, but not me. That’s why this wonderful perfume was created. I read that it works as a base to boost another perfume thanks to the musk, or on wool clothing to emphasize that comforting scent of natural fibers, making it smell freshly from the laundry. It became a must-have and is now a permanent part of my collection. A 10/10.

Not my style, but I liked it. It smells delicately clean skin, soft floral, for about an hour, and it’s a pity that afterwards it’s only detectable close to the skin; you have to hunt for it with your nose, and that doesn’t convince me. Suitable for +20 and ideal for summer.

For me, this perfume is perfect. I read reviews that catch my attention because they say ‘it smells like nothing or it doesn’t last.’ I imagine it’s because of the musk, which changes a lot depending on the skin. To me, it smells delicious, musky, clean, with a slightly sweet touch that I think comes from the ylang-ylang. Plus, it lasts without issues for quite a few hours. The whole workday, and on hair and clothes all day. I’m looking for a perfume with a similar profile but that isn’t so overused to make it my signature fragrance, but for now, I can’t find any that smells better within this style.

Beautiful, clean, elegant. I use it in an extremely hot and humid city because it makes me feel freshly showered. It’s a spectacular option to replace the citrus fragrances we sometimes have to wear in this type of climate. Its longevity is very good, more than 6 hours on skin and more than 10 hours on clothes.

Maybe it’s the most ‘simple’ scent from the brand, but for me, it’s one of the best and most comfortable for wearing to work. It has that musk that defines the house. When I don’t know what to wear, this is my lifesaver: it’s not overwhelming, you feel comfortable, and you won’t risk offending anyone. It’s like a second skin.

I’m not a huge fan of Narciso Rodríguez because of the powder notes, but this perfume has won me over. The powder fades quickly, leaving a wonderful, lasting clean scent on my skin. Plus, if you use it for layering, it’s fantastic.

To me, it’s an ode to purity and the color white, a clean, carnal scent, like clean and natural skin. It’s my star scent, my go-to, I can’t be without it. They say it’s perfect for layering, but for me, it’s so perfect that I don’t want to alter it with anything else but my skin. There isn’t a day I don’t wear it and get asked what I’m wearing. One day, I had to get blood work done, and the analyst, wearing a mask with a transparent panel, when I sat down for the draw, said: ‘Oh, you smell so good! It’s a pleasure when you come smelling like this.’ She even asked what perfume it was. With Pure Musc, I always have these kinds of anecdotes: on the bus, at the dentist, at the clothing store… Since I discovered it, I can’t be without it. 10/10.

Well, I bought it out of curiosity. The perfume is very rich; as soon as you apply it, it has a fairly unisex aroma, reminding me of men’s shaving foam, but quickly the white flowers are felt, very soft and lovely, a bit basic, could be combined with another. I expected something creamier, but no, although I like it a lot. In Argentina, I used the Atelier01 by Sofía Sarkany in summer, and it was what complimented me the most; it’s quite similar, the dry-down is almost identical. I’ll stick with Sofía’s since it’s four times cheaper and the longevity is excellent. But getting back to Pure Musc, I wanted to treat myself and did, it was worth it. It can easily be a lifetime perfume, one of those that doesn’t tire and pleases everyone; it’s not very particular but can be combined for more personality.

A clean, pleasant scent that can be worn anytime. It doesn’t last forever or project like a rocket, but occasionally a fantastic burst reminds you it’s there. It’s the perfect basic when you want something feminine, clean, and universally liked. I have the 150ml bottle, and when it runs out, I’ll buy another. I own many perfumes, but this one always has a spot. Some days I want to be pure musk, no fancy perfume, just comfortable, calm, and clean; those days are perfect for this.

The powdery opening with musk reminds me a lot of Montale’s Starry Nights (and I’m not attracted to either). But like that one, the dry-down is where it shines. Pure Musk transforms into a radiant musk with a soft floral touch, very elegant and clean. After a few hours on the skin, I’d say it’s neither youthful nor mature; it’s quite versatile and perfect for everyday wear.

Elegant, fresh, and clean. A ten for summer or spring. At meetings or in the office, people always say, ‘Doctor, what a nice perfume.’ I always smell great. It feels like it projects an empowered woman; imagine an executive. Of all my perfumes, this gets the most compliments, from male and female colleagues alike. It gives off the vibe of someone elegant, dressed in white. It’s 100% for daytime. I wouldn’t wear it on a date or for a night out. The best part is that it’s uncommon but everyone likes it; it doesn’t offend anyone. It doesn’t have a huge trail, but it lasts about 6 hours on my skin.

One of my discoveries of the year; now it’s my signature scent. I heard about it by chance in a perfumery after reading good reviews. When I applied it, it reminded me of a childhood scent I can’t quite place, but it smells like the scented letters we exchanged with friends (for those of us in the 90s or earlier, you’ll remember). I had a flashback and bought it immediately. I use it daily at the office; it’s not intrusive, but those close to me notice. I recommend testing it before buying blindly. They say they’re discontinuing it, but for now, it’s easy to find in Spain. It’s the perfect all-rounder for any season and situation.

I LOVE IT! Clean white musk, like a fluffy cloud of musk with little white flowers. I love it for wearing alone or as a base; in layering, it boosts other perfumes and makes them last all day. I tested it with Chance Eau Tendre EDP and Roses by Chloe (the ones that don’t last for me), and it extended their life to the WHOLE DAY (12 hours). I can’t explain HOW MUCH I LOVE IT. I want a new bottle and a refill right now. I never want to run out of my beloved Pure Mus.
