Descripción

Le Male Le Parfum by Jean Paul Gaultier is an oriental fragrance for men. Launched in 2020, this composition was created by Quentin Bisch and Natalie Gracia-Cetto. Its olfactory structure unfolds with a top note of cardamom, giving way to a heart of lavender and iris. The trail settles on a base of vanilla, oriental notes, and woody notes.

What more can be said about this fragrance? The first time I didn’t love it, I even thought it smelled like a barbershop, but I was confused. I got it at a good price in Argentina (around $72 for the 125ml version). It’s one of the ones I enjoy using the most, it stands out quite a bit. The iris makes it special and distinct, soft and wearable, nothing like Gentleman Reserve Privee. The vanilla gives perfect sweetness and the cardamomo is delicious, combining sweetness and elegance. Lasts as long as needed, but stays in a personal bubble, not projecting wildly. Ideal for intimate situations. Overall it’s a 9.5/10, I love it

  • JavierPerfumista

I bought it in summer and not being able to use it until it got cold was like Bruce Wayne looking at the Batman suit: a beast ready to come out. I got the 75ml because, although it smells brutal, the oven isn’t ready for buns yet. It’s Le Male DNA but more intense and long-lasting. In the original the vanilla is camouflaged, here it’s practically vanilla and woody. It smells sweet, has body, and has that click the regular bottle didn’t give me. I used it almost always with my girlfriend and she always said how good it smelled. I wear it very little because we’re not in the mood to bathe in cologne, but when I put it on I know the night is going to be wild

  • It’s a beautiful fragrance. Very addictive, dark, and masculine. Ideal use: dates, night, autumn, and winter.

  • Monoborracho

What can I say? A beast of a fragrance. If you like Le Male, you’ll love this: it keeps its DNA but adds iris, becoming more elegant, adult, like James Bond in a casino. The opening is brutal, longevity and projection are very good. It’s for special occasions, to stand out without asking permission. I wouldn’t use it at the office or for daily wear: too sexy for that

  • Straight up: The best Le Male and perhaps the best JPG I’ve tried. Le Male Elixir is good but it feels shrill to me; this, despite being sweet, is enigmatic and addictive. It has never left me feeling down when I wear it

  • If there’s Quentin involved, it has to be a great perfume… Purchase pending for Duty Free, but I don’t like buying designer in my country due to warranty issues, so I took advantage of a tester (though without the cap). The perfume is incredible, the lavender-iris combination works flawlessly. What’s bad? The projection and longevity are poor, I don’t know if the initial batches were better. There are few better options for intimate dates, it’s not a party starter or loud, but it’s perfect for that. Not a blind buy: although I love it, it’s not for teenagers

  • Unique aroma, elegant, and projects like a beast. NOT for daytime because it’s sweet and can feel heavy (unless it’s intensely cold), ideal for night and special occasions. I do NOT recommend buying blind: it’s mature and sophisticated, nothing like Stronger With You or Dior Homme Intense. If you don’t have a mature personality, it will seem heavy on you. Base notes 10/10 (pleasant to everyone), longevity 9/10 (6-7h on skin, more on clothes), projection 8/10 (fills the room when you enter). Price 7/10 (around $130-140, expensive but worth it if it’s for your collection). Verdict 8.5/10: I heartily recommend it if you want to receive compliments for smelling elegant and sexy

It smells like scarlet wax, that product used to wax floors in red: a cinnamon smell but petroleum and oily, very addictive. It’s enveloping and seductive, girls feel comfortable. Without trying to be technical, it smells like vanilla, lavender, women’s makeup, and a woody base. It feels warm when it dries. Lasts 7-8h on skin and 3-4 days on clothes. Scent 7.5, projection 6.9, longevity 8.7. Final rating 7/10 (77% perfection)

  • I don’t know if it’s my nose, but my opinion on this perfume is different from everyone else’s: it smells like women’s makeup to me, like powder with a touch of vanilla, just that when it first comes out and dries down. (I tested it in perfumeries because I had ordered it online and it smells the same).

  • Nicomandressi

What a rich perfume, women absolutely love it! The cardamomo makes it spicy and herbal with a touch of lavender. It smells clean, masculine, and sophisticated without being soapy like others. It reminds me of Le Male Elixir but less sweet and more refined. It’s not too youthful; in winter nights, it’s absolutely fantastic. Not for daily wear, it’s special and intense yet not invasive. Lasts 8 hours, the packaging is gorgeous and original like the JPG line. Buy blind and save it for weddings, dinners, or dates. I wore it with 6 girls and they all asked what perfume it was lol

  • I loved it from start to finish, it has the Le Male DNA but more mature, masculine, and dark, without being cloying. It’s worthy for evening events, dates, or parties, it won’t fail, it’s exquisite. The only downside: the projection on my skin is very intimate, you have to get close to smell it. I’m not sure if others experience this, but in my case, it’s an excellent fragrance with very little sillage

  • I don’t own one; I went to a department store to smell it. At first, it gave me the ‘meh’ vibe. They sprayed it on a paper for me, and then I went home. A few days later, I smelled the paper again, and it had an amazing dry-down, a vanilla that isn’t cloying like certain Arab scents out there. To be honest, it’s been three weeks since I put the paper in my room, and it still smells like that rich vanilla. I’ve only caught it from a distance a couple of times; it’s my next purchase. I’d buy the 75 ml because I don’t think it’s a scent for everyday use.

  • It’s good, very rich. Sweet with presence. Elegant. Works well for the office in winter and also for night outs, though it lacks that festive touch the other JPGs have. Good perfume, but sometimes I think they exaggerate a bit when calling it the best Le Male.

  • Of all the JPGs, this is undoubtedly the best. It’s sweet but not cloying, with a clean, fresh touch that makes it more elegant when worn. I recommend it more for night dates; this perfume is a beast in the cold. In conclusion, it’s elegant, a bit more serious and seductive, ideal for elegant events and dates. Its longevity is quite good; the trail is nice but after 4-5 hours it stays closer to the skin. Given the price and quality it offers, it’s very good since it doesn’t smell synthetic or low-quality.

  • To start, I’m not a huge fan of JPGs, but this is the most elegant one and the only one I’d happily wear. Cardamomo is noticeable right out of the bottle, but the iris really shines through. Lavender adds a clean touch, making the whole blend very refined. My only gripe is the dry-down, as it gets quite sweet. Still, it’s a good perfume. The longevity isn’t its strongest suit compared to its siblings, which last until they’re boring.

  • I’m not the biggest fan of JPGs, but I have to admit, the first time I smelled it, I was hooked. It’s rich, sexy, and incredibly versatile for any age. It’s elegant, and I appreciate that it’s not overly loud; that moderate projection gives it great personality. It’s a super addictive and long-lasting fragrance. On my skin, it lasts about 6-8 hours with good projection for the first 4, after which it settles into a soft, intimate scent.

  • My signature scent from the collection. Super elegant, it has everything you’re looking for. The best JPG to wear out and about.

  • Nathanfragrance

Excellent, though less versatile than its sisters. From the start, it smells much more elegant and executive, thanks to its warm, floral/herbal, and cardamomo notes. As it dries down, vanilla, amber, and a woody touch become more prominent, while the classic JPG DNA lingers on the skin in the final stages. Would I buy blind? Probably, but if you want to be sure, test it first. Would I recommend it? If you’re looking for something formal without being over the top, or want to stand out a bit, it’s for you. For me, it’s an 8.5/10.

  • Refined, elegant, and incredibly seductive. Lasts strong for about 8 hours and really makes an impression. 2025 batch.

  • On Skin Parfums

Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male Le Parfum. I bought it for about 60€ for 125ml. I tested it beforehand as a tester at a trusted store. As an aroma, it’s incredible, sexy, captivating, interesting, and masculine. But the problem is the longevity. When I reach the end of the perfume’s life, I ask a third person to rule out olfactory fatigue. On my dry skin, it doesn’t last even 4 hours, and on clothes maybe 7. Another person with better skin got 4-5 hours, which is still insufficient. I tested it with the perfume well-oxygenated. Its sillage is very intimate. I saw a reviewer (I think it was Gustavo) confirm this and I should have listened. Call me crazy, but calling your fragrance Le Male Le Parfum when it’s an EDP doesn’t seem entirely honest; it causes confusion. Should I recommend it? If you’re a collector, yes, because I repeat that I love the scent, but if there aren’t better alternatives that fulfill those usage occasions, maybe not.

  • emmanuelabm

I think it’s the best Jean Paul Gaultier perfume. It smells like sex, like lust, too good. Pity its projection, but I think that’s its purpose: to be an intimate fragrance. It lasts forever, especially on clothes. Divine aroma, low projection.

  • It has fewer notes than a doorbell, but executes them flawlessly. Projection is just right for someone to want to come closer and smell you. Elegant, mass-appealing, sweet without being cloying. Definitely my favorite from the brand.

  • It’s an exquisite perfume, a charming aroma. Some might say it doesn’t project much, and that’s true, but that doesn’t make it bad. It’s in my top 5 favorite perfumes. Maybe the price is a bit high, but it’s recommended.

  • Super hyped perfume I bought on sale for 75ml, but it doesn’t last at all. Literally smells for five minutes and then on skin, even when freshly sprayed. The opening smells great, but once it dries in the sun, it gets strong.

  • I bought it the other day and tested it one night. I sprayed 7-10 times and it’s a bomb. After the first hour, I stopped smelling it due to olfactory fatigue, but at 5-6 hours I asked if it was detectable, and from 3 meters away, they said yes. It’s a vanilla scent that I really like. I perceive it as the Swy but more ‘sharp’ than strong. It’s fulfilling, long-lasting, and essential for night outings with temperatures below 24 degrees.

  • Very good. It was my first perfume from the brand; at first, it disappointed me because I expected something different, but then I grew to love it, and now I adore it. It’s my favorite Jean Paul Gaultier.

  • The opening is a soft, delicious iris that I loved, but then it fades until only a sweet trail remains. After three hours, nothing is left. No matter how good the opening is, no fragrance at this price deserves such poor performance.

  • What a rich perfume. There’s no other way to describe it. It’s not meant to grab attention, but something more personal with a moderate sillage. If it’s for a date or being close to someone, they’ll definitely appreciate it. Warning: not for hot weather, but for autumn and winter. In the cold, it’s amazing, but in heat it barely shows; it’s more of a night scent. For an intimate encounter, it’s an incredible weapon that attracts. 100% confirmed. It has the DNA of the original Le Male but with more chocolate, vanilla, and that pleasant cardamom in the opening. When it dries, vanilla takes over and lavender stands out, even though it says iris. I spray about 10 times because I work at night; after 8 hours, I still feel 30-40% of the potency. Recommended, although if you don’t like sweet and seductive perfumes, you won’t like this one.

  • Mike Jiménez

A perfume I was already waiting for after trying it earlier. It’s nocturnal, but without being over the top. Without a doubt, one of the best from JPG.

  • ezemigliarese

I went to try it in a store and within two hours it was already gone, even when sniffed up close. The scent is rich, but I don’t think it’s worth the price.

  • Daniel Henderson 77

Very delicious, but too sweet for me. I only wear it on very cold days. It’s powerful and lasts forever. It invites you to use it and sniff it, with a seductive touch. If it weren’t so potent, I’d love it even more, but we’re talking about JPG and a Parfum version. A perfect combo to be explosive. I highly recommend it, especially if you like sweet scents.

  • Heavily reviewed. Easily makes my all-time top 10, alongside COL WATER, PRADA L’HOME, and MERCEDES CLUB BLACK. Although it doesn’t last as long on me, the scent is intoxicating and addictive. It’s an obsession.

  • Rick Azafranado

Rich, exquisite, nocturnal, and modern, with the DNA of the classic Le Male and also Ultramale. If you like JPG, you must have this. I’d wear it without hesitation for dates or formal events. Ideal for 25 and up. Lasts a long time with a moderate sillage. Feels high quality.

  • djkonablue

One of my favorites. An exceptional scent that draws people in. It lacks projection and sillage, but that’s exactly what makes people want to get closer to smell it. Without a doubt, a 10/10.

  • gercabrera_

Bought this today (June 2025 batch); I already had a bottle from February 2022 that was running low. Testing them side by side, the new one is sharper and lasts longer, while the old one felt creamier and sweeter, probably due to age. It’s a sweet, spicy, powdery scent—super enveloping, masculine, and elegant. It earns compliments and is possibly the best designer fragrance out there.

  • Paclemale98

Le Male Le Parfum by JPG is the king. I owned it and I say there’s nothing like it. The spicy opening smells incredible, but the magic happens when it dries down and the vanilla kicks in: sweet and long-lasting. I usually like heavy projection, but this creates an intimate bubble. It’s proof that you don’t need to project three feet to be a great perfume. It didn’t last long on me, but my partner and friends always caught the scent and loved it. I recommend it, of course—even if it’s not ‘beast mode’; it doesn’t scream for attention, it invites people to get closer and they end up loving it.

  • Luis Moyita

Perfect for a date or gifting to your girlfriend. It doesn’t scream like others, but it delivers: elegant, discreet, and incredibly seductive.
