I love it, it’s a masterpiece and the bottle is super iconic. Not something to buy blind or for those who can’t handle sweet scents that last forever.
Reminded me of Olympia.
It lasts forever. I didn’t like it because on my skin it smells like grass, weeds, and spices.
It gave me a headache because of how sweet it is.
Girls, sorry if this sounds weird, but you have to be as ordinary as a tripe canapé to say it smells like eggs. Honestly, I don’t know, ask Peretti to lend you his nose—how can a perfume smell like eggs? It might not be to your taste, sure, but smelling like eggs? Come on, half a dozen. It’s a rich perfume. I’m not surprised by fragrances anymore after years of this, but this is a treat. It’s fresh, though I don’t wear it in summer, maybe because of the meringue. It’s a sweet delicacy; that meringue is beautiful, like the strawberry on dessert, quite versatile. On rainy days, I use ‘Desire’ by J.Lo, but I’m running low and it’s discontinued, so Divine will probably fill that spot too. The longevity is great, maybe up to 8 hours, and it’s not as expensive as others, so I think it’s a good deal. I’ll buy it again when I run out.
At first, I thought it was very floral, but then I saw how it evolved: a fruity touch, floral, then marine and salty. The dry-down really convinced me, what a delight and how well-crafted. I don’t understand people saying it smells like eggs; it’s wonderful and addictive—I can’t stop smelling my wrist, and it has an incredible trail. Quentin Bisch, you’re a genius.
Believe me, going to a store to test it or getting a decant will save you a fortune. I don’t know if it’s eggs or urine, but it’s terrible. It has a beautiful sweetness and a rich essence, but that note I can’t identify? Terrible.
Eggy, but more tolerable than the Elixir since it lacks that weird sweetness.
I tested it at the perfumerie and had the worst idea of putting it on my arm and clothes. Oh my god! I couldn’t wait to get home and shower. I smell fish on it. Plus, it’s super strong. One spray on my arm touched both skin and clothes, and it was super noticeable. I washed my arm with Dove soap and it didn’t come off; I had to use another heavily scented soap. If you like the smell, buy it because it sticks to you super well.
You’re on vacation, by the seaside, soaking up the sun with that sweet, fruity tan. Then the heat gets intense, and you refresh yourself with a dip in the water. You dry off and check your skin: freshness, salty sweetness. How can a fragrance take us on a journey we haven’t even taken yet? Incredible perfume, it smells like the sea, sun, and beach, or so my subconscious associates it.
It was a disaster on my skin. I bought it solely based on reviews, but it doesn’t smell like eggs; it smells like a wilted flower. I gave it to my mom, and on her, it smells much more pleasant.
Personally, I didn’t like it. What they say about the eggs is true; I don’t like the smell at all in the dry-down. I didn’t buy it, just tested it in a store and wouldn’t buy it.
As always with Jean Paul Gaultier: super feminine and gorgeous. I clearly detect the watermelon and lily, followed by that touch of meringue that makes it even more decadent. The longevity and sillage are above average.
It was a blind buy, and I totally regret it. Honestly, I noticed that ‘egg’ smell very quickly. If it’s that strong, I personally let myself be swayed by the reviews, but it definitely isn’t a scent for me; you always have to smell it before spending money.
Finally, I found my signature scent. After trying hundreds, this is the first one I like for everyday wear. It’s sweet, floral, fruity, fresh, and salty… all in perfect measure, with a balanced complexity that makes it sensual. It’s super flattering, with a trail and projection that more expensive perfumes would envy. For me, Divine truly lives up to its name; it’s divine. Perfected in a bottle.
I’ve had it for a few hours, sprayed on my hand while running errands. Meringue, fruits, and flowers—pure delight. I never found the egg or port smell people say it has. I recommend trying it first because it doesn’t react the same on every skin.
PERSONAL ANALYSIS (in case it helps anyone): 1. Versatility: wearable in all seasons, day and night, for any occasion. 2. Longevity: between 4 and 6 hours. 3. Sillage and Projection: moderate sillage but projects very well. 4. Affinity: fits my tastes perfectly; I would buy it again and use it daily, although I haven’t worn it in the last three months because I ran out last year.
I was shopping for perfumes with a friend, she tried this in the store and loved it, so I bought it for her, but she sprays way too much. It’s so heavy and overwhelming that it gives me a headache; I think it’s very strong and it’s one of those perfumes where fewer sprays are better.

Wow! Incredible that sea breeze when you spray it. That mix of salt and meringue makes it unique. It has a sunscreen-like heart that makes it warm and enveloping. It’s not for everyone, but if you’re looking for something different in designer perfumes, give it a shot.
Strident, loud, discordant… in short, a messy juice with no harmony. The opening is dazzling, with an almost unbearable acidity, dropping into a violent, thick floral, and ending in a briny mix that reminds me of an egg carton in the fridge that hasn’t been cleaned in centuries. A resounding no, very scandalous; it doesn’t even seem original to me, as it caters to current intense and dramatic tastes, which are completely not for me. Any positives? It has prominent longevity and sillage, great job, as it spreads like a miasma for the immense pleasure of its wearers. On my part, I can only flee from this fragrance as far as possible; it’s not for me.
I don’t understand those who say it smells like ‘eggs.’ The first time I wore it, it smelled fruity; I literally drooled. Then it turned fresh and sweet; I could smell it strongly for three hours with just one spray, then it faded slowly… until the next day I could barely smell it close to my skin. The longevity is great compared to three Mugler perfumes I tested at the same time… and those are known for lasting long. It’s a perfect summer perfume; it doesn’t overwhelm if you control it with one or two sprays (and in the long run, the bottle lasts longer). It’s a fresh aura that follows you… nothing of egg, fish, or algae. Nothing like that. I recommend trying it before buying. I definitely want it.
Finally, I get the ‘egg smell’ everyone talks about. On my skin, it smells like wet seaweed, as if I stepped on it in the sand after a wave. It smells divine right after spraying, but it lasts only a breath before that salty, slightly repulsive scent takes over. Don’t buy blind; test it on your skin to see if it’s for you. In my case, a definite no.
When it came out, I thought: ‘this is one I like, it’s different’. On paper, it’s delicious, that salty meringue and aquatic touch is very rare for a designer scent. Almost bought it online, luckily I didn’t, because on my skin it smells like fish with meringues 🤣. Yes, it works great for others, but I wouldn’t wear it. I love it, but it doesn’t love me. You have to test before buying.
I love it on a woman. It’s a delicious sweet and salty contrast. Strong, intoxicating, addictive scent. The bottle is elegant, distinctive, and beautiful. I love it.
I went to try it and felt a very refreshing opening, then it slowly sweetens, but on my skin I feel it’s very unisex (it’s rich on paper but transforms on my skin, becoming ‘sour’). I ordered a decant to keep testing and see how it goes.
My favorite fragrance. Perfect for summer, lasts quite a while on my skin, and lingers on clothes for days. They say it doesn’t suit many people, but on me, it smells exquisite. It’s peculiar but totally delicious.
I wanted to give it a try, but the dry-down smells like an egg, a fried egg with the yolk undercooked. No matter how ‘divine’ it’s advertised, there’s nothing else to say.

Smells like Le Parfum, but the dry-down shocked me: it leaves a scent like raw eggs or poorly washed glasses. I can’t quite pinpoint it, but I hate it in both versions.
