Le Beau Paradise Garden by Jean Paul Gaultier is a men's fragrance from the olfactive family. Launched in 2024, the nose behind this creation is Quentin Bisch. The top notes are green, aquatic, mint, and ginger; the heart notes evoke coconut, fig, and salt; while the base notes settle on tonka bean and sandalwood.

I never cared for JPG; its little sailor torsos presentation just didn’t fit my personality. Now I see cheap decants and large bottles at competitive prices, which is rare for something with recent hype. Researching confused me: vanillaized green coconut? So sweet yet summery? I don’t go to the beach, I don’t have a mohawk, and my name isn’t Dylan. I considered myself outside the target audience. However, its daytime performance and good longevity intrigued me. I love the green notes, and in the end, the devil on my shoulder that listens to TikToks at full volume convinced me. To my dissatisfaction, commercial perfumery doesn’t encourage good greens. It doesn’t convey greenery, pine, bamboo, or galbanum; just a little mint that disappears before the fifth spray. No fruit is green; they’re creamy; it should be the top note, not the green. It’s a vague intention, like a green plastic bag wrapping the ingredients. If you’re looking for herbal or are a fan of Cool Water or Polo Green, you’ll be left waiting. It feels like an emerald cellophane tied around a modern perfume to renew its audience. The sweet bar is well-placed; it’s very sweet. My skin reacts excessively to the fig (I recall a distant memory of D&G K Intense) and it feels very prominent; on clothes, the coconut is more noticeable. If your skin is like mine, brace yourself for a fig bomb. Every now and then, a bit of salt is perceptible, pleasant and balancing. Don’t go sniffing my wrist constantly; it gets a bit tiring. Enjoy it by waiting for the projection bursts every few minutes. It performs well, lasts quite a while; maybe some perfume got on my necklace or hair, and those bursts accompanied me all day. Lastly, the sandalwood gets on my nerves. It’s rich, synthetic, but there are perfumes where the synthetic note doesn’t bother; by its vibe of an adolescent trying to conquer, this is one. I, who am not that old, feel disguised. When I put it on, I went to the supermarket, and the cashier asked what I was wearing; it fulfills its purpose, it grabs attention, but I almost felt out of place telling her which one it was. It can’t be worn every day; it’s too exaggeratedly summery, better for spring every now and then, for those over 20 choosing the right environment so as not to clash by smelling so youthful and flashy. Maximum 30 degrees. 8/10.

  • To sum it up: wearing it is wonderful, charming, and incredibly rich until you can’t take it anymore.

  • I still remember the first time I smelled it; I had a friend from Denmark who always brings big designer perfumes. It had come out a few weeks prior, when he arrived at Mdz I asked what he was bringing and he showed me this. I wasn’t that deep into perfumes then, and he let me try it. A few days earlier, I was broke on a Sunday, went to the mall to stroll, walked into a beauty 24, and heard Kenzo Homme EDT Intense or Marine, I don’t remember which. As soon as he showed it to me, that day came back to my head, and he said, ‘mmm, it didn’t blow my mind.’ He told me it was a bomb. That night we dressed up and went dancing; I put on my faithful 212 VIP Black and went to the pre-party at his house. We kept drinking until it was time to leave; he put on his perfume, and from that moment on, all the perfumes in the air went dark. It was crazy; I had only experienced this once with someone wearing Erba Pura in a club, the scent reached the bar, and everyone asked what perfume it was because he had just arrived in Mdz and I don’t think anyone bought it right then. He left me totally crazy, I even wanted to buy it for him, haha. I hope it stays the same and they haven’t reformulated it; it was a nuclear bomb.

  • It’s a winner, everyone loves it, especially the younger crowd. When I first bought and smelled it, I was initially disappointed by that weird, ugly fig note, but gradually it shifted into a creamy facet, drying down to a rich sandalwood. After a year and a half, I think its dry-down is absolutely delicious. I have 3 milliliters left, and those never leave the bottle; they carry good memories. My girlfriend loved it the moment I met her; smelling good makes you more attractive, and her friends and friends love it too. Creamy dry-down, rich but not gourmand, simply delicious. For me, this is by far the best Le Beau, better than Le Parfum, which isn’t much of a deal.

  • Very good, you can feel the green notes and the fig quite a bit, it lasts longer than its brother Le Beau EDT and projects more.

  • For a long time, I believed the negative reviews online. When I decided to try it, I was pleasantly surprised. It’s something sexy, charming, different, and complex. I don’t base my opinions on compliments, but in this case, I must mention it: it’s one of the ones that has made me receive the most. Projection: excellent. Longevity on skin: 8 hours or more. Longevity on clothes: WEEKS.

  • Horrible. I used to love it, now it smells like freshly cut grass mixed with dog poop. The creaminess of the coconut and sandalwood borders on putrid, like sour milk. Another bad point: it’s overused. You can smell it in class, at work, at the beach… JPG recycles the same thing and it gets monotonous. I get why teenagers like it for being easy, but if you’re not a teenager anymore, try to step up a bit. Scent: 1/10, longevity: 8/10 (I wish it lasted less because it gets tiring), sillage: 5/10. Please, mature.

  • Samuel perfumes146

Exquisite fragrance with a fresh opening and a creamy, fruity, sweet coconut dry-down, ideal for everyday wear.

  • Gabriel_zs15

The Le Beau line combines fresh and sweet elements. Here we have a sweet fragrance due to the coconut and fig notes, and a fresh, green accord that makes it exquisite. Maybe the opening is a bit chaotic, but over time it becomes more refined, youthful, and attractive.

  • peperinafragancia

For me, it’s similar to Nautica Voyage with a coconut aroma. It smells like pool water, with bamboo, salt, and the scent of coconut sunscreen. It might remind you of Hugo Boss Pacific, but I think it’s better: less marine and more pool-like (cleaner). I liked it; I imagine its use almost exclusively at the beach or pool, with an open white shirt, in the heat, for a sexy moment.

  • I was at the gym and its sillage almost broke my neck; rarely have I felt the urge to track down who smells so delicious. Sniffing around the gym, I found the wearer and he confessed his name as a reward. My husband’s best friend gifted it to me for my birthday; it’s one of the best JPG scents and a personal favorite. I’m tired of the flat smell of Le Beau normal, but this flanker smells like summer luxury. I’m obsessed! I washed clothes that had been in the hamper for a week and they still smelled like that delicious green coconut. If you’re in Mexico, NEVER avoid buying online at Palacio de Hierro; the bottle arrived dented and they refused to take responsibility. It’s over $200 USD.

  • GermanioBoy99

Just bought it and it met my expectations. A fascinating, fresh, green, and paradisiacal aroma that captivates everyone around you. You’re sure to catch attention again. A delight.

  • XavicatPerfum

Total disappointment. I forgot the promised freshness and green notes; this smells like old lady talcum powder with sandalwood and coconut. Horrible in the heat. Thanks to the hype, I didn’t buy it, but the projection is beastly: I got kicked out of the car for the strong scent, and it’s noticeable from two blocks away. It generates anti-compliments; nobody liked it. I had to wash it off with soap, and it still wouldn’t come out.

  • WOW WOW WOW. I tried it yesterday with just one spray, and today, more than 18 hours later, I can still smell it on my wrist. I don’t know why, but it’s magnificent.

  • Creamy, sweet, tropical, and fresh coconut; the opening isn’t cloying, settling on a medium-sweet woody base that projects without being annoying. As it dries, the volatile notes fade and the fig and salt take the spotlight, leaving the coconut as a sweet, playful base that contrasts with the more serious tone later. You can notice the similarity to Paradise Garden and Kenzo Homme EDT Intense, but with a less marine, sweeter base, less projecting but still present. It lasts over 8 hours without issues, consistent, and starts to fade after the eighth hour. It works as a signature scent; that contrast between the serious fig and salt with the sweet coconut part makes it usable for any age. My favorite from the Le Beau line and easily my preferred JPG fragrance.

  • Among so many marine and blue fragrances, this one stands out. It’s perfect if you’re looking for something different without being generic. I think its strong point is that it smells good, even if it’s not spectacular. Normally I wouldn’t spend what it costs, but I feel it’s worth it. 8/10. Men seem to like it more than women.

  • Perfect for lovers of green notes and coconut. The opening is fresh, very sweet, and slightly vanilla; the coconut and soft mint are very noticeable. It’s herbal and sweet, and it really shines as it dries down. In my opinion, it’s more of a morning summer scent, though it also works on hot spring days. Definitely a summer beast mode. A 10.

  • I thought it would be a summer cologne type—light and discreet—but it turned out quite sweet and creamy. It overwhelms me on very hot days above 25 degrees; not for daily use or enclosed spaces. Ideal for spring and summer evenings with less heat, dates, and casual outings, not for the office. Tip: check out Urban Man Paradise by FW, it’s 95% similar and performs equally well.

  • I love it. On my skin, it smells like Kenzo Homme Marine with a tonka bean bomb and a sweeter touch. Perfect for day and night, ideal for partying as long as it’s warm. The longevity is good, projection is average, but the scent is well-rounded and high quality. Total hit.

  • For me, it lasts between 8 and 10 hours, with bomb projection for the first three. Special for going to the beach or hot places; in direct sun, it’s too cloying and intense, not in a good way. The smell is very pleasant, you can definitely feel the coconut with the other notes. I layer it with Sceptre Malaquite by Maison Alhambra to boost the ginger. Recommended. 8.5/10.

  • A gem. It’s earned me several compliments; the scent is so rich. It lasted quite a bit longer on my skin than I expected. The opening is fresh, then it picks up a moderate sweetness without being cloying; very controlled in that aspect. If I had to rate it, I’d give it an 8.5/10.

  • If you like sweet fragrances and struggle to find a summer scent, I recommend trying this. It’s fresh, herbal, and clean, yet with a pleasant sweetness. Undoubtedly my favorite summer fragrance in my collection.

  • Rick Azafranado

A fairly versatile perfume in my opinion; it’s not overly sharp, so I could wear it for various situations, even something formal but in the summer. It’s rich and pleasant; my partner loved it, which speaks volumes since it always makes a good impression on the opposite sex, at least for me.

  • tomcastrooo

For me, this isn’t a ‘you might like it’ or ‘you might hate it’ situation. If you’re into coconut and green notes, it’s excellent. But if you already know you don’t like that, don’t try to force yourself to like this JPG. It has a lovely longevity in my case, about 9 hours out of 10, and a moderate trail that you feel when you move but isn’t a beast. I’ve received several compliments on this fragrance, which also has the plus of smelling clean with its notes. I see it for daytime use only, in summer and moderately hot spring, because at night or when it’s a bit chilly, I see it as pointless; it just won’t give you the same experience.

  • This is the true mass-market fragrance; when people talk about a ubiquitous scent, they mean this. The entire city smells like this and its dupes; it’s simply a fragrance with an unbearable fig-like odor.

  • This perfume is ideal for intermediate seasons. In winter, I feel it lacks potency, and in summer it can become a bit cloying due to its sweetness, especially on humid, heavy days (typical Buenos Aires weather), where on my skin it evolves into a scent like wet grass with a sweet touch. Beyond that, the performance is very good: it lasts around 7 to almost 8 hours, with a noticeable trail for about 2 hours before settling into a more personal bubble. In short, it’s a great perfume for spring and autumn: very rich, pleasant, and enjoyable for both yourself and those around you.

  • I let my family try it, and they all hated it. I don’t know if it’s because they’re used to sweeter or citrusier scents. After a few hours, they accepted it, but not fully. I think it’s because it’s an uncommon DNA. It’s too “green,” but not like pine; it’s sweet and very fruity. Maybe I’ll buy it for vacation; right now, we’re heading to -4°C in my area.

  • I usually like most scents, but this one didn’t work for me. I tried it in the store and the coconut was overwhelming, giving me a salad sensation, nothing like the Le Beau EDP. It lacks a masculine essence, feels like an experiment, and isn’t worth buying blindly.

  • perfumitonuevo

This perfume is heavily criticized and hated by many people who haven’t even smelled it. This fragrance is one of the best from JPG, very good, fresh, and sweet for hot summer days. I feel it transmits a magical vibe that not many people appreciate. If you’re looking for a summer bombshell, don’t hesitate to go smell it and buy it. It’s a 10/10.

  • Very good fragrance. I’d describe it as a sunny Saturday in spring in the Mediterranean, 20-30 degrees, having a drink outdoors. I perceive a sweet coconut that isn’t cloying, with fresh notes in the background. Excellent longevity: +7 hours on skin and clothes. The projection is great; whenever I go out to parties in the afternoon in Spain, I smell it from far away—it’s a bomb. If I wear it, I get olfactory fatigue after a while, but people still smell me after hours. I recommend it 1000% for beach summers that aren’t too scorching, best for 7-9 PM and cool nights; at 40°C it could be too much.

  • dongragancias

I think it’s a very clean perfume, with creamy and fresh notes, perfect for summer. If you’re hesitating to get it, go for it without fear; you won’t regret it.

  • Personally, I love this fragrance a lot; those green notes and the coconut opening are well-balanced, not overpowering. It has a great trail, and every time I wear it, I get compliments. I live in a warm climate, and its longevity is excellent, easily lasting 5 to 8 hours. Regarding price, it’s average—not too expensive nor too cheap—but it’s definitely worth it.

  • Vomitable; it’s what I’d wear if I wanted people to stay away. I went with friends to a perfume shop and all three of us were grossed out; it’s repulsive and super invasive. I imagine if you’re a fan of mint and fig, you might like it, but it’s not for everyone. Do not recommend blindly.

  • blvck-w-wilson

If this wasn’t made to enchant almost everyone, it must have something special. Fresh, sweet, and salty, with that sexy DNA of Jean Paul Gaultier. I love it. Wearing it creates a chill, confident, and relaxed aura, but you send out delicious, very sexy trails that everyone enjoys. I liked that it’s lighter than the LE BEAU EDT; despite the similar base, this is more volatile and versatile. I’m not saying the LE BEAU is hard to wear… it’s just more versatile, sexy, and delicious. But this Paradise Garden, with its green touch and fig note that I adored, will appeal to JPG fans. I’ll buy a bottle every time I finish another.

  • Paradise Garden is an absolute beast of performance. The moment I saw it in the bottle, its potency, trail, and longevity were brutal. It’s the perfume that has brought me the most compliments in my life. A formula perfect for summer/spring with creamy, aquatic notes that give off a delicious bronzed vibe. The coconut, fig, and green accords add voluptuousness and that deep, sweet alcoholic sensation. When the vanilla and woody base notes emerge, it leaves an enveloping, exotic, warm, and superbly rich trail. It could be unisex, but the sandalwood leans it masculine. A work of art.

  • Benjamin Pozo

A very rich, easy-to-wear, and versatile fragrance. It projects well and lasts long, but that’s why over-applying can be annoying in enclosed spaces. Overall, it’s very good but doesn’t break the mold. If you’re looking for something rich, sweet, not too extravagant, and perfect for summer, it’s a great option. I give it 8.5/10.

  • A rare and mellow fragrance. Everything in CDMX smells like this and its clones; it’s a watery coconut scent with green notes that gives off a soup vibe instead of something fresh and aromatic.

  • Abraham1505

I’m obsessed. The opening is green, smells like the beach, coconut takes the lead, and it feels completely natural. It lasts long on my skin; my girlfriend loves it, and I can easily detect the sandalwood in the dry down.

  • Jeremy Cano

What more can I say about this flanker? It’s a masterpiece. At first, you get fresh, watery, slightly salty notes, but be careful—even though it’s marine, it remains sweet and fresh with that cocktail-like coconut. The mint enhances the typical vanilla touch of the Le Beau line, while the tonka bean keeps it grounded without losing its essence. It’s been my undisputed favorite for the heat; it doesn’t smell like just clean laundry, but rich and refreshing like delicious coconut perfume. Ideal for me, who loves sweet scents and lives in the heat, it’s my daily signature. Lasts 7-8 hours, with 2 hours of strong projection without being suffocating. It’s light and doesn’t bother people on public transport, though be careful with heavy sprays if you like strong scents. Fresh, sweet, and salty, perfect for the sun, though it works all year. If you’re planning to buy a Le Beau, this must be on your list. 9.5/10.
