Ugh, don’t buy this blindly—I made a mistake. It smells like a powerful, intoxicating, super-sweet bomb. It’s perfect for night or cold weather, but in the daytime heat, it’ll give you a headache.
Relief that I didn’t buy this blindly. It just smells like olive. That said, it lasts forever; I washed it and it’s still there, even though the salesperson only sprayed it once. It’s not for me. I’m sticking with Divine, which is also controversial but smells like sea salt and vanilla on me. This one is awful.
For me, this is a masterpiece; it makes me feel noticed. At first, it’s a bit spicy but delicious, and that sensation fades quickly into a sweet scent with citrus notes that make me drool.
Girls, I hate this today 😭 I bought it blindly based on social media and then read it smells like olive. When it arrived, I tested it, and that’s all I could smell 😭😭😭😭
I keep my 2022 bottle like a treasure: candied pear with a hint of liquor, vanilla, tonka bean, and something that smells like undeclared leather or suede. It’s an overwhelming beauty we lost with the reformulation 🥲
Jean Paul Gaultier Le Belle Le Parfum defines elegant, sexy, and powerful femininity. Ideal for women over 28. It’s a bomb that invades you instantly: intense vanilla hugging the pear, then softened by tonka bean and jasmine, perfect for winter and nights. If I smell it on a woman, I’d ask for her hand in marriage. It leaves anyone mesmerized. I tested it as a man and fell in love; it has an incredible trail, you can feel it in every corner without overwhelming everything, and it lasts forever leaving a vanilla scent on the skin. Rating: 9.7/10.
To me, it smells like sweet pear. You don’t notice much vanilla, but you do get the sweetness of the tonka bean. It smells super sexy and feminine; I’ve received a lot of compliments from men and women, which doesn’t always happen, haha. It lasts quite a while, although the trail isn’t what I’d expect for the price, honestly. A bit pricey, but definitely a good perfume.
It’s a fiery perfume with the right intensity and character typical of Jean Paul Gaultier 💖. If you want to feel like Cleopatra arriving on a ship full of aphrodisiac aromas to conquer any man, this is the perfume.
I don’t smell the olive they talk about, haha. What I smell is melted cotton candy with cinnamon. I love it. It’s ideal for a romantic date. It lasts a long time and stays on clothes. It’s delicious. There’s no mist like it; it’s very special.
I confirm it smells like olive… but I love it, haha, everyone has their tastes. I saw it recommended on TikTok and thought it would be a sexy, sweet bomb, but no. The first thing I got was: OLIVES (seeing the comments, I wasn’t the only one). That disappointment vanished when I smelled it again days later and found I really liked it; it’s addictive. Yes, it’s sexy (at least for me), with a touch of sweetness (very little) but with its own charm and style, not just sweet.
Brutal and beautiful fragrance. Starts with juicy pear balancing a dense, creamy heart of jasmine and tonka bean. The drydown is potent, almost overwhelming due to the sweetness, but as it settles, vanilla takes over—enveloping and super sensual. The performance is dense, so it’s not a blind buy. Perfect for fall and winter; too heavy for summer. Lasts beastly, over 8 hours, and the sweet trail lingers on clothes until washed.
I’ve tried it many times to see if I’d like it, but unfortunately, I can’t stand it, neither this nor its sibling ‘Le Parfum’. On my skin, it smells strongly of olive (I hate that note lol) and it doesn’t improve over time. I also don’t like Kayali’s Candy Rock Sugar, which they say is similar, so it’s definitely not my profile. What a pity.
Spectacular perfume. At 25, it’s in my top 3 of everything I’ve bought so far. On my skin, it lasts 8 to 12 hours, and on clothes, it lingers even after washing. I bought it blind, and when this bottle runs out, I’ll definitely buy another.
I think that tricky ‘olive note’ only appears in the opening. Once dry, it’s a nectar of vanilla, pear, and tonka bean. The dense creaminess of the tonka adds depth and darkness, setting it apart from La Belle. Both are beautiful and super elegant, though I find La Belle more versatile and Le Parfum better for cool climates or night.
Just bought it for my mom for her anniversary, and it’s absolutely exquisite. It’s a realistic, fresh pear sweetness with red berries, cinnamon, and vanilla. Obviously, it’s the old bottle: lasts beastly and projects heavily to moderately, but always with a trail. What a beauty; I’ll have to buy one for myself since my mom hid the bottle lol, what a gem of a perfume 😀
I haven’t worn La Belle Le Parfum in a long time, and today I put it on; I’ve been wondering what it reminds me of so much. I know no one will agree because it makes no sense, but it’s the same sweetness, the same vanilla that makes Kissing Burns remind me of Dama Bianca. I feel it, though—the final aftertaste is totally addictive and seems very similar across these three.
I read the notes and thought it would be a total hit that I’d love. I love intense, sweet perfumes with a strong presence. I went to the perfumerie and was hugely disappointed, even after testing it multiple times on my skin. My mom told me it smelled like olive juice, and now I can’t shake that thought lol. I recommend testing it first; it’s different on every skin. One friend wears it super sweet and sexy, which is crazy to think about how pH changes it.
I’d heard it was amazing, and honestly, I liked the opening, but the drydown is terrible. Don’t buy it blind.
Yes, honestly, it does smell like vanilla cookies with pear juice on top. It’s also true the opening is very potent and can remind you of some medicinal syrup, but then the fully sweetened jasmine appears, and every hour it gets more addictive. It’s for fall and winter, forbidden in summer. Lasts a minimum of 8 hours; on clothes, it lasts a full week. When I wore it, I had a silicone watch, and it got permanently impregnated lol, the scent still won’t come off.
The opening is super potent, to the point of giving me nausea, unsustainable. Once it dries, it smells like freshly ground pepper, which worsens the initial sensation. On my pH, it’s an absolute no. I recommend not buying it blind.
Love it: sweet but soft, not cloying at all. If you’re not a fan of sweet scents, this is for you. Addictive and super original; I’ve never smelled anything like it. Lasts forever on skin and clothes; every burst reminds you how adorable you smell. Makes you feel sexy and tender. Note: it’s totally for winter, I wouldn’t recommend it for the rest of the year.
I went to try it because of the TikTok hype. At first, I loved it, I understood the buzz: it smelled like sweet, sexy, vanilla pear. But after a few minutes, I noticed a weird note I still can’t identify, and others have the same issue. Literally, it smells like p*pí. I swore my nose was bad, but my friend and my mom noticed it too: it’s hor*rable! I don’t get how it can do a 360-degree turn from good to terrible. It’s a shame because I really wanted it 🙁
Smells great, but I wouldn’t recommend it for teenage girls; it’s more for women over 30. It’s a sexy, juicy scent, ideal if you can handle sweetness. Smells like a woman with character, I like that. For guys, if you’re looking for something to grab their attention, this isn’t it; it didn’t impress them, but it makes me feel like I’m wearing my personality. It doesn’t have exceptional sillage or longevity, I think it’s due to the reformulation, but it’s still a good perfume and one of my favorites.
Churruca4, same here. Two months ago I wanted to buy it, and when it arrived and I opened the bottle, I found the new version 😭
I tried it at a mall with high hopes. I left disappointed, not much more to say. Too sweet, there’s something I don’t recognize and didn’t like, maybe the amber note. I would have loved to like it, but it wasn’t the case. Maybe the tester was applied poorly, because looking at the reviews it seems like a great perfume, that’s why I’ll try it again.
If you have this perfume, I envy you. Defining it limits it.
Edit: The other day, drinking coffee with cinnamon, I said: ‘La belle!’ That unbearable note I didn’t know what was, I finally figured it out 😂😂😂, but they added kilos of cinnamon to the perfume. One comment says ‘pear with cinnamon and bleach’ and it’s heading in the right direction. It starts smelling like iron and blood, it’s weird and attracts my nose. Longevity and sillage are 10/10, but I don’t think I’d dare to buy it.
What a crazy perfume. A sweet, vanilla, enveloping pear. It has personality, it’s bold and sexy, I love it so much. The longevity is insane, I’d say it exceeds 10 hours, with a powerful sillage so people can smell you from afar. Simply put, it’s a perfume that can’t be missing from a collection, a guaranteed hit.
I loved it in the bottle so much that I ordered it for my birthday because of the tonka bean base. Fortunately, before they bought it for me, I decided to go try it and had to cancel the order urgently. On my skin, it smells like pear with cinnamon and bleach 🥺🥺🥺🥺, it was terrible and I thought it was my idea or the top notes, but that smell lasted hours (I admit it has good longevity). I recommend testing it on skin, it’s not for everyone, pH can vary the scent.
At first, this perfume smells like cinnamon to me, but after a few minutes, it’s easy to perceive a very aggressive vanilla aroma. I think it could be ideal for a party.
